Is there any definitive say on whether we can romance both Gil and Reyes? Some people have said that there should be no issue, while others have claimed that romancing one will cut off the other.

This question is about everything Reyes related.
How bad is that choice u have to make to keep him around? What's the other choice and what's the other outcome of that choice?
I'm kinda worried bc I just can't take those "bad" decisions and if it's something my Ryder wouldn't do, I'm not gonna force myself to do it (and so I'll stay without romancing anyone).
So, how bad is it? And does anyone know how many decisions there are to keep him around longer and romance him or can I make like only that one bigger decision and I would be fine?

Ooh, I can answer this.
I'm not finished with the game, but I did lock in with Reyes, and I have an understanding of what can "break" the romance.
Basically, Sloane Kelly (from the trailer) asks you to go with her to meet with her greatest adversary. I don't want to spoil you completely, but if you don't side against Sloane at this encounter, you can't continue with Reyes.
Now, understand that Sloane isn't the Aria of Kadara, far from it. She's (IMO) terrible for Kadara, and since your job is to make places livable, stability is right up there, so I knew even before this encounter that she had to go. You'll see it when you see the state of the planet. By the time it comes to this, you've assisted Reyes in enough tasks that you know how bad things are under Sloane.
The other choice sees her staying in charge and breaks Reyes romance.
To sum up, it's really not bad at all. In the long run, I'm happy with the way things turn out if Sloane is gone. Edit: Oop, ninja'ed.

Oooh that explains a lot! Those 2 posts were exactly what I needed, thank you so much Since, after my trial, and being stuck in Europe I only picked mea today and only finished Eos, so I'm pretty far from Kadara but reading vague things about that part of his romance were really bugging me, and now it's a lot more clear to me. But I guess I'll just have to go there and take a look myself to form what I think of all of this. So it's basically only that one decision? I've seen others talking that you can't choose to talk to someone that's been captured or something like that, that seems really shady to me because like, wouldn't you like to know the whole story if someone's offering? So can I talk to someone captured or something like that or is it tied with siding with Sloane too much?

That wink; it's very good. So... nothing new. Other than that, I've been distracted by sidequests since meeting him. I'm trying to get Kadara done (which includes a Reyes sidequest) b/c navigating it is kind of a hassle and I just want to put it behind me. Is Reyes one of those fetch quest givers or are his quests substantial? And is Kadara really that of a hassle? Technically, yes he is. If you ask me, most of the NPCs in this game are a nuisance to deal with (I would prefer a game of a... smaller scale); but in the case with Reyes, it's pretty fun. The banter that comes along with it makes it enjoyable and they aren't overly drawn out -- plus he's capable himself, you're basically just going to a couple different locations each time just to meet up with him to settle the problem.
I abhor fetch quests, but the ones arranged by Reyes aren't bad.

In case it helps anyone else who's wanting to romance both Gil and Reyes. My first try I went and met Jill where I committed to be Gils' 'guy' before I worked with Reyes, this locked me out of the Romance with Reyes. The second try I finished everything to do with Reyes and Sloane and romanced Reyes before going to meet Jill with Gil, and I was still able to commit to Gil.

Hello, I'm new here. Is this where we all talk about our addiction to the glorious Reyes? Yes!!! Welcome! Also. Space Whale: Yes, for me it was only the 1 decision. Again, I haven't beaten the game, so I can't speak for what happens if you do things in such a way as the main quest has advanced further than mine has. I don't have anyone whose been captured *gulp*, but you meet Reyes right when you arrive on Kadara for main story purposes, but then everything else with him is side-questy and optional. So I did it all and got the planet viable before continuing the main questline.

I found what I was talking about earlier! @promptosbarro mentioned about it on the previous site: "not take Sloane's deal to talk to the prisoner before he's executed. This is on Kadara and it's part of the critical path." I have no idea what's this is about tho, like where it is in the story, but that's what I was thinking about writing about someone being captured. It looks really shady to me, because like.. Why wouldn't you talk to the prisoner to see what he has to say for his defense or something like that? Meaning, I'd like to talk to him. Won't it lock me from something or I'll get less content with Reyes because I actually talked to the prisoner instead of just letting him be executed?
Just thought spitting because I actually have no idea what this has to do and how it ties to Reyes' side of things.

So apparently you can miss Reyes? Can someone who's gotten to that point tell me now how to do that? Not sure about missing him, but I think to progress the relationship or get more quests with him you need to not take Sloane's deal to talk to the prisoner before he's executed. This is on Kadara and it's part of the critical path. Just to clarify here, I did what you say not to do, and I still got the full romance path. Just for future reference for other people who come later.

Okay real talk... I liked Reyes romance. But is that the end? Like.. it doesnt even end with a bang. (Pun intended). Nada. You commit to him pretty early on in the game. Is that it? Like you dance and get an email after.. be all end all? With that said.. I haven't finished the game. So for someone who has, or is almost done, is there more to his romance? I'm guessing not. Overall, I'm disappointed. I LOVED Solas's romance in DAI and was sad how things ended, but not disappointed. I had hope AND it fit with the plot of the game. (BTW Solas: best romance ever).

I thought I was going to move on to Gil after Reyes, but I just like him and my Ryder together too much. My Ryder likes Gil, but from a RP standpoint, would probably feel bad about stringing him along while there was still something between him and Reyes. By the way, do any other companions have a comment about Ryder flirting with Reyes when you enter the Roekaar base? Peebee said "You like him," which my Pathfinder quickly denied. It was cute.

So I've met Reyes and done one of his missions. I gotta say I really like him. Poked through the recent pages here and someone else asked this but I didn't see an answer. No details please, just - if anyone here has seen it through: is his romance fulfilling and have a satisfying conclusion, even if it (and he) is light on content? I'm going for Liam now and Jaal is next, but I'm kinda thinking of going for Reyes after that. I just want to know if his romance is worth devoting a playthrough to. To be more specific - does it actually feel like a relationship, and is there at least chance for a happy ending with him? That depends on what you define as 'fulfilling'. The fact that you don't want any details doesn't make answering this any easier. It is pretty low on content, yes. It doesn't conclude with a sex scene, if that's what you're implying. I can't avoid giving some detail. I'm romancing Jaal but I did test out Reyes' romance (before reloading) and I recommend it if you're easily satisfied. Reyes is a good character and his romance has more content/plot than Gils'. Surprise, eh?
He's like the human equivalent of Zevran from Dragon Age, hard to resist that charm! :lmfao:
Now to answer your last curiosity, I wouldn't say it's worth dedicating a playthrough to; he isn't part of your crew as I'm sure you already know. It does have a relationship-y feel and does come with a 'happy ending', but if you're seeking an in depth romance then Reyes probably isn't your dude.
Hope this wasn't too detailed, I tried the best I could not to give any spoilers!

Hope this wasn't too detailed, I tried the best I could not to give any spoilers! That definitely helps thanks! I've done a couple more of his missions and I'm quite taken with him, even if my current Sara just sees him as a useful, if slightly aggravating, friend. So even if his romance is on the lighter side as long as it feels like an actual relationship vs. A flirtation/one night stand I think he's worth devoting a character to. Whenever I get around to playthrough three anyway...
