Asari in Andromeda Passive Dorks Among the Kett Threat

Hopefully the Andromeda devs found a way to make biotic enemies interesting. Biotic enemies haven't been, so far.

The Noveria fight is one of those instances where story and gameplay end up segregated. Asari commandos are supposed to be biotic badasses according to the story, but in gameplay they're deliberately gimped and use practically no biotic powers against you. Not once in the trilogy do you run into an enemy that hits you with a biotic bomb (singularity + warp) or hurling you off a ledge like a ragdoll, for instance.

I understand why, no one likes a to be insta-killed or run into a lengthy CC they can't avoid. If enemies had every biotic ability the player & companion characters have access to, but there was some gameplay mechanic for the player to potentially avoid incoming biotic attacks, that could be fun. It would also do away with some of that lame story & gameplay segregation.

Why not go with the MMO mechanic of having some warning that you're about to get one shotted? In MMOs that typically is a red circle of death that spawns under your character, telling you get moving NOW. In Mass Effect maybe your Omni tool should flash & chirp instead. Throw in a lore explanation that omni tools can be tuned to detect mass effect field shenanigans.
