This of course means shepard failed to stop the reapers in any of the endings. It's possible since the reapers could go full bore and follow them. They might even make it there first and set up. I am not sure if this would be absolutely hilarious or horribly depressing since it would mean shepard failing completly in every way. Thoughts on this?
Also I am NOT saying they will do this it's a "what if" scenario
edit AGAIN i AM NOT SAYING WE WILL IT'S A WHAT IF SCENARIO!!

No wonder Kett would have all the right and reason to be really pissed at us for luring Galactic Space Killer Shrimps into their galaxy.

Considering its 600 years after Mass Effect 3 its a safe bet their won't be any. The trilogy was awesome but the reapers were a cliché its time for something different.

There are no reapers in Andromeda, but by 2185 there are about a million of them lurking in the corners of the Milky Way in dark space, right in the trajectory of the Andromeda Initiative. Wow, they were kinda lucky they didn't get blown to bits when they crossed the far rim huh?
^ Now that you say "cliche" I hope we don't get jinxed and there's some higher force of evil that threatens us elsewhere. The thing I liked about TGA is that it showed infighting between our own kind, and that's exactly the kind of politically intriguing premise I want to see some of with a premise like this. It's a kickass hook for the entire idea of the Andromeda plotline and I hope they don't take it somewhere lame instead.

If the Reapers were a threat by force maybe the Kett will prove to be more dangerous by intellect. We'll be stranded in a galaxy with limited resources so its likely that civil war will erupt among the pathfinders, with the Kett manipulating sides and perhaps offering the Krogan the cure in exchange for loyalty.

Also I am NOT saying they will do this it's a "what if" scenario What if? ANd no Reapers currently in Andromeda? Okay how about this: The Reapers learned about the Andromeda Initiative, but weren't able to stop it. Ships cannot be tracked while in FTL, and all the Reapers had to go on was "Andromeda" and perhaps a general area where the "Helius cluster" is. So, during the war in ME3, a few dozen Reaper ships went the other way and headed for Andromeda. Heck, they might even beat the Arks there. But not knowing where exactly they were going to settle, the Reapers have to search for them. Years, decades, even centuries later, the colonists start hearing of massive cuttlefish-shaped ships laying waste to worlds, slaughtering whole population or turning them into monsters. And some being brainwashed to serve this new threat...

If the reapers came to Andromeda, there would just be some major contrivance to defeat them. Anyway, the whole synthetics vs organics thing is part and parcel with them, so ah hell naaaaaah

What if we spent less time talking about the Reapers - which are confirmed to not be in Andromeda - and more time talking about the things that will be in Andromeda, like the Kett, or how nasty that Fiend in the trailer looked munching down on some Kentucky Fried Ryder.

I think it's about time we let Reapers to rest, even in AU hypothetical scenarios.

It would be interesting if they did show up, being decimated by an even larger threat than them....not sure how that could even be possible. When the Reapers came to earth very early on in ME3, the sound of their lasers pummeling the city sent shockwaves through my body as they was destroying everything in their path.... Their story is told tho....and it would be a bit of a mess to try to tell the new story of the pathfinders while shoe-horning in the old nemesis from the past. It would be interesting to see a Reaper falling from the sky at the end of Andromeda and then seeing the being or creature that destroyed it setting you up for the next game,....but eh that plot would be too similar to the collectors i guess...but since we are talking "what ifs?"....there you go...

Even if, why should the Reapers care? Nobody tasked them with protecting live in the Andromeda galaxy. AI's can be peculiar like that. With the old, mass effect centered reason for their existence: Sure, they might follow them, but I think it would take them far longer then the Initiative... like thousands of years longer.

Compromise: one of the Leviathans squeezed themselves into a fishbowl on one of the ships and no one noticed.

How the Remnants became "Remnants"?
