Citadel: Expose Saren is not in the poll, although it is pretty good too. This is definitely my favorite part of ME1. It was the first thing I thought of when reading the title for this thread and then it wasn't an option . So I voted for Eden Prime as it was the closest to it.

I need to play through ME1 again for some perspective. I have a Soldier who just finished Therum that I need to go back to.
Out of these, I think I like the ideas of Feros and Ilos the best; going through ancient Prothean skyscrapers and finding the Thorian, which represents a kind of extreme anomaly of existence, and discovering Vigil in an ancient city/research station. As someone else said in here, the Vigil encounter is way better than the Sovereign one, arguably one of the highest points in the entire series.
That said, Noveria and Virmire might beat them for presentation. I love the idea of ancient city ruins, yet the actual level designs of Feros and Ilos left a bit to be desired, Ilos' more so. I have some issues with Feros' design but playing through it now, there's still a lot I appreciate about it. Noveria and Virmire also have their high points for story, so we'll see.

Uuuhhhh, I love a good necro. Anyway, I chose Virmire. It's got everything. Beautiful visuals, good level design, incorprating both MAKO and on foot gameplay, cool dialogue and story bits and of course, the Sovereign reveal, one of the top moments of the entire trilogy. Also, that music when you make your way form the salarian camp to Saren's base is one of my favorites in ME1. If Ilos incorporates also the end game on the Citadel, than that would certainly be a tie for first place. This is one thing I really love about Mass Effect 1. Many games try to dazzle players with a strong opening and then have trouble really following through towards the end but ME just keeps getting better and better right up to the finale.

Noveria has everything you want in a mission/hub world. - Lots of NPCs to chat with
- Multiple options to push the mission forward
- A variety of combat settings i.e. The port, the mountain climb, the lab
- A major decision - the Rachni Queen
- Balance of conversation missions and combat missions
- A major boss fight - Benezia

Virmire is in a class by itself and it sets the tone for the entire trilogy. Ilos/Battle of the Citadel is a very solid number 2.
