This does makes me more hopeful that we will indeed see a remaster of the ME Trilogy...
Otherwise why else do this now?
Because we're at the halfway point between the release of the previous game in the franchise and the next one's announcement and they need to tide people over? Only 3.5 years to go

When I die, I want Bioware to carry my casket, so they can let me down, one last time.
Things From Another World @tfaw If you're a fan of @masseffect (or spaceships), check out this new re-release of the Normandy SR-2 ship replica from @darkhorsecomics!

I doubt it. So far Bioware has teams working on DA4, SWTOR and ANTHEM but no information about any team working on the next mass effect. What we do know is that people who are know for having inside information in the past have been hinting a remaster is on the works.

When ME1 came to ps3, it was ported by Bluepoint Games. Same could happen with MER.

Mike Gamble is working on an, as of yet, unannounced ME project, with Casey Hudson supervising. It's not the remaster and the remaster wouldn't be made internally. Arguably, even a remake would, perhaps, not be made internally and what little changes would be made to the game, would only be written by Bioware writers, or approved by them, not developed as content by Bioware.

Shell Games @games_shell The Mass Effect wiki quotes the "hold the line" speech in its entirety, but doesn't attribute it other than to the character speaking it (and the voice actor playing said character). I suppose it tells you my profession that my first thought is always, "but who *wrote* it?"
It would cost me $61.51 to have that mug. In Canada.
I've just checked Sanshee's shipping cost, the cost of shipping the Tali pin to Ireland is €19, the cost of shipping the FemShep pin from the Bioware store is $38, both stores are located in the US and imo that means their shipping cost should be the same. I've just tweeted Bioware telling them the same
I got the Garrus statue from Gaming Heads, it weighs 11lb, it was shipped from Hong Kong to Ireland, the shipping was $60, the distance between Ireland and Hong Kong is greater than the US and Ireland and that pin would weigh 100g at most, there's no justification for the discrepancy in shipping costs
I already suggested them a non US based warehouse/shipping option + Also, speaking from experience: you can often get stores to mail you things with the regular mail if you ask them, however it's mostly not traceable and not insured the same way.
Bioware Gear Store @biowaregear The @masseffect I Should Go Mug is the best mug in Normandy. End of conversation. Get yours here: bit.ly/2X2GJm1
A bargain at only $20 and $31 shipping to Ireland
Yeah, and I rather would take the Ai mug from Andromeda as I already have the N7 mug... which was a bit questionable quality overall but hey still.
[ LegendCNCD / AsariLoverFI ] MEA Rules! Waiting for ME5 - Look's like sometime in 2186, everything went to hell. We got out just ahead of it! MEA & ME1 (>>>> 3 > 2) -- DAI > DATV > DAO > DA2 -- 3500h+ & maxed out all 02/2020 in MEAMP, APEX 137001+, DAIMP (576/761/201), ANTHEM, SW BF II, FO76 - Drinking tears of MP lamers since DooM & Quake in 90's softknees.bandcamp.com/
While overall I think ME1 and def the trilogy overall had better music than MEA, MEA did have a couple really good songs. This was one of them.
Sometimes I just listen to this in the main menu and get super excited, enter multiplayer and skirmish the enemies to dust with other players... Like I just did
