Yup, they do. Not in literally every scene, but certainly where appropriate.

Welp, confirmed I'll be keeping the defaults for everything. Faces and names. Gonna be a breeze getting through that CC. Right to the good stuff.

Yeah, while I'll possibly/probably change their default look, I'll keep their default names. At least for the 1st run.

Same. I'll most likely play with CC a bit just to see how it looks, but just as with Hawke, I'll most likely feel strange playing non-default.

Someone mentioned this a few pages ago, but doesn't hurt to repeat in case someone missed it

Actually glad about this! I spend hours trying to pick good names along with creating my toons, so when the game starts I end up too tired to get into it.

I'd agree if it's one time. 
I'm still going to roll with custom Scott, to see how it changes my experience.

My first play through of each Ryder, might keep the default, but in subsequent plays, I'll give custom names to help me identify the run. In some ways, it will help me track the various plays ... to cover all the things in ME:A ... but also to help me with potential imports into ME:A2.

That's how I tracked classes, LIs and gender in MET ... to a lesser extent in DAT ... since the protagonist didn't carry through from DAO-->DA2-->DAI.

Those custom names would be hilarious ... if BioWare ever developed the software to phonetically voice the names ... instead of a list of recorded options ala Fallout.
