I'm betting on BW's own MMO. "Bring people together new and exciting ways." (Ick, I don't fancy MMOs) neither do I single player RPG's great MMO's no thanks. Yeah, same. I am really trying to get through SWTOR, which by all accounts is fairly easy to get through on your own, but I just can't get into it. I'd be really disappointed if it turns out to be an MMO. Hopefully it will just have some multiplayer elements, allowing you to share (co-op) your story.

Hopefully it's not full MMO, I highly doubt it is. But if they could pull off something more like Destiny but more story oriented in a very BioWare-esk style game I'd be far more down for that. Hell I'd really love a Mass Effect off-shoot of that.
Whatever it is, It'll be playable solo, even if you have to be logged into their servers to do it. Biggest issue with that, for me anyway, is lack of companions that probably means. Unless, of course, everyone gets a companion even while co-op. Or when not co-oping you have companions around. I dunno, hopefully it's a nice balance of stuff if they go that route either way.
edit: As an aside, co-op or online doesn't make it not an RPG. It almost certainly will involve RPG mechanics. Shit, DnD isn't not an RPG because you have to play with other humans,

As I'm sure a few might be interested...shinobi602 @shinobi602BioWare's new IP scheduled to launch by the end of FY18 (before March 31, 2018) - EA Conference Call BioWare @bioware A note about our new IP: bit.ly/2koVhdh From the sound of it, it's gonna be multiplayer, which is a big buzzkill as far as i'm concerned. Multiplayer automatically means less story focus. I do not like how it emphasizes "playing with your friends." My friends don't play video games. They go to PTA meetings and watch Netflix and go to wine-tastings. Video games are not "friend time" for me; it's "get away from the world" time for me. They don't seem to realize that they have so many older fans than most video game companies.

My bet would be a cooperative story-based action game. We'll see. Maybe it will be on android No please, the horror for those of us with big/clumsy fingers!

Look on the bright side, maybe this new IP means less dlc time and more dedication to developing extensive main games where we don't have to pay $15-$20 for better closure and filling plot holes... Naw, EA wouldn't allow that system. But I think we're hitting OT so let's get some tweets going... Graham Scott biomasika

Also, even if i do play with others (hardly ever), it's more for funzies and screwing around, or doing some group content like raides. Multiplayer has its charms but it's absolutely not for immersing yourself into the world and losing oneself in the story.

Yeah this new IP of theirs sounds like it is following the general trend at the moment, moving further and further away from what BioWare did and did so well in the past by focusing on strong story and narrative driven games. Now a lot of focus seems to be on multiplayer gameplay aspects, with the story and characters coming in second. I don't think we are going to ever get something along the lines of the ME trilogy again in terms of the scope of the story carrying across all three games.
It seems the more AAA titles favor multiplayer and co-op over decent storytelling, the indie games are going for stronger and far better stories and narratives.
Hope I'm wrong about the new IP, but the fact it isn't an RPG as well is disappointing. Sounds like it could be a Destiny/Overwatch combo. Can't developers do what they are already good at, rather than try and emulate what other popular developers are doing.

Sheep, deer, most species of fish actually.

As I'm sure a few might be interested...shinobi602 @shinobi602BioWare's new IP scheduled to launch by the end of FY18 (before March 31, 2018) - EA Conference Call BioWare @bioware A note about our new IP: bit.ly/2koVhdh Polygon: BioWare’s next new series launches due by March 2018www.polygon.com/2017/1/31/14461222/new-bioware-game-release-dateA new, original intellectual property from BioWare will launch by the end of this fiscal year, Electronic Arts announced on a conference call for investors. The action title is expected by March 31, 2018, when the company’s 2017 fiscal year ends.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson teased details about the game, which is being worked on by members of the Mass Effect franchise. The game will have an online component of some kind, encouraging players to interact in a completely new setting.
“It’s an action-adventure, not RPG,” Wilson added during the Q&A portion of the call. That’s a change of pace for BioWare, which is best known for its role-playing game franchises.
Studio fans can still expect to see “the great RPG character development and story progression that BioWare is known for,” Wilson continued.
That’s about all we know about the BioWare game, however. BioWare vice president Aaryn Flynn included further details in a blog post on the studio’s website following the call.
“In 2012, we began crafting a new universe full of new characters, stories, and gameplay,” Flynn wrote. “Our ambition is simple: Draw upon 20+ years of development knowledge and lessons to create something fun and new for you to enjoy with your friends.”
More details are coming in the future, Flynn added. Hmm... I always kind of considered the ME franchise to be skirting the edge between action-adventure and RPG. What with featuring very defined protagonists and limited stat customization. Especially ME2 where stats were replaced with a relatively shallow "ability" points system. Gear and weapon customization was exceptionally light in that game as well. ME3 trended back towards RPG but... still seemed a thin line to me. With ME:A there seems to be more item customization, but an even more defined protagonist, and not really "stat" points I've seen. It looks like you choose abilities in a loadout manner, like in FPS games. I guess my point is, if I can see that much action-adventure in a game BioWare considers an RPG, I'm curious what they identify an "action-adventure" game to really be.

New IP sounds wildly unambitious but maybe it's just Flynn not being very considerate of his words.
He also stated Andrew Wilson being their "new CEO" yikes. If that's only a recent thing then that does not bode well. Wilson is a total jock. A total business tool, capitalist dog who's only concerned with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

BW isn't targetting people like you. BW, if it had any business sense, would try to broaden its fanbase. They shouldn't shy away from making a game they know a subsection of their dedicated fanbase won't like in attempting to appeal to others. No self-respecting company would be satisfied with meeting the needs of repeat customers only.

Polygon: BioWare’s next new series launches due by March 2018www.polygon.com/2017/1/31/14461222/new-bioware-game-release-dateA new, original intellectual property from BioWare will launch by the end of this fiscal year, Electronic Arts announced on a conference call for investors. Two (albeit excellent games, the former being one of my all time favorite games ever) from one developer. I didn't say all focus is on multiplayer gameplay aspects, just a lot. There was even an article a while back on the importance of a game like Mass Effect: Andromeda, in today's AAA title landscape. And now it looks like BioWare's new IP is eschewing all the things the article was hoping to see more of in the future, and instead follow the trend.
