I would like one......... but the shipping charges always kill these for me.
Same here... plus I have more than one friend who had to wait for their stuff for more than two month, so I have more than a few reasons to always forget about all this awesome stuff... had EA never thought about opening some sort of shop in europe? or sell throught Amazon? or at least at some comic/games con? in 2013 at Lucca comics there was a little medieval citadel just for DAI (with medieval knight and all) but not even a Dragon Age (or ME) gadjet (at least official...and the non official were rare too...) in the entire town (the Lucca comics occupe the entire medieval town). It was incredibly sad, expecially because Assassin's creed and the witcher stuff (t-shirt, clothes of every kind, gadjet etch) was everywere.

ME Remaster: Well, yesss, Soderlund. There is a market for a remaster. I'm just nobody. I don't have analytics and whatnot, but I do have eyeballs. I could see the fans begging for this 2 years ago. Sure, it's anecdotal and not necessarily representative of a larger market....except it actually was representative. It was obvious. On the BSN at least....
MGS Comparison: Please no?
Moore on..whatever it is he's talking about, Idk if he knows what he's talking about. And that does not instill confidence in me.
except that those fans that were begging for a ME re-master are minuscule compared to EA's total player base. not to mention that developers that re-master their games aren't usually developing multiple games at once like BW has been doing for a couple of years now. re-mastering an 8 year old game takes an enormous amount of recourses and time. and most fans would gladly see BW spend those recourses and time on new games, instead of rethreading old ground. the best outcome would be for EA to outsource the re-master to a dedicated team that can invest all of their effort into it.
That's why I said it was "anecdotal" and "not necessarily representative of a larger market". It turns out, however, that it was representative of a larger market. There were alot of fans that wanted a "remaster" of the games which really only amounted to a spit shine so they could actually play it on their new consoles.
And obviously they would outsource it. But the idea that this is some kind of news flash is ridiculous. It tells me they were never paying attention to their own forum. Perhaps if they had, they would have been done with it by now, or well on their way like Skyrim, or COD, or Halo, Uncharted, TombRaider. These game remasters come from big developers/publishers. Bioware is not the only studio that has a heavy workload, and it is not just one team. Bioware is several teams under one name.
I don't know who these most fans are, but from what I saw most fans love remasters. It turns out that was the correct analysis. But they're just now figuring that out? And outsourced, or not does not matter.
The point is, people like Soderlund need to get their heads out of their pile of spreadsheets and actually pay attention to what their own fans are asking from them. See them as people, and take them seriously.
If they want some kind of guarantee, however, they're always going to be lagging behind. Or more specifically, ME and DA series are going to be lagging behind.
This should have been done already. Done and ready for release within the next few months.

But that's the point. The purpose of a remaster is not to make people who already played the original game umpteen times happy, it's to get new customers into the franchise from the start, or to get customers who entered the franchise late but won't consider going back rev so far -- they exist, I know some -- to give it a try. It's to expand the player base, not deepen loyalty of the existing base, although it may have that secondary effect.

Agreed, the right plan is to outsource it. That won't make me happy -- graphics are not my problem with ME1, it's the gameplay, like the inventory screen from hell and Way Too Much Mako[TM] -- but should make the game more appealing to new customers.

Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!
Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect Andromeda, SWTOR, Anthem, Mass Effect Legendary Edition
That is all jumping the gun. The guy from EA(forgot his name) just said there is some interest in a remastering, but that is a long way from actually doing it.

Gah, i miss so many tweets we this format. I thought that the old tweet version was staying.
???
Which tweet(s) are you having trouble seeing?
We've been copy/pasting them like the old way for a little while now.
<<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>>
I think it's because the board here does a re-direct to the target site. My Firefox has re-direct disabled for security / privacy reasons. I get a can't load page msg. All I do is remove the re-direct, add the ":" in front of "//" and I'm in.

(EDIT: They pulled the tweet.)
So... I go and play Golf for a few hours and this happens. Who is this "Sanshee" by the way? I mean, is he or she in the know at BioWare or one of us? Okay, I think there a fan store? Or are they associated with BioWare in some way?
