I had kinda guessed there would be siblings and the other sibling would exist in the world, I kinda guessed it would be like the spouse in fallout 4. I didn't guess the N7 guy would be the father. That's an interesting twist. It'll be interesting to see how they both factor into the plot.
About this 4K business... I'm undecided. I have some money in the bank. A few months into my new job, I might through down the money for a gaming PC and monitor that can handle 4K, but I'm very hesitant about the expense.

I realised this morning that last night's conference footage is slightly different from the video Bioware uploaded to Youtube, so for those who didn't see the live event and are interested in the (possibly AI) squadmember, you can check it out here  there are two brief voice clips from our very British (and somewhat synthetic) sounding squadmember: one early on and the other just before the cutscene at the end. It also suggests that our "formal" title will be 'Pathfinder', likely the same way that 'Commander' was in the trilogy, or 'Herald/Inquisitor' were in DA:I. Then for more personal interactions, I assume we'll hear 'Ryder'. (And I also randomly stumbled upon the interview with Aaryn after the press conference while looking for the original gameplay reveal, so, just for reference, it can be found at about 2 hours in.) I realized this too! I was watching the reveal live, then I watched the uploaded video and realized some of the banter was different and the path Ryder takes is slightly different. |

I just noticed in the Flynn inteview that he mentions 'Arks'. First time BioWare uses that word. Wonder many started the journey and how many finish it... About this 4K business... I'm undecided. I have some money in the bank. A few months into my new job, I might through down the money for a gaming PC and monitor that can handle 4K, but I'm very hesitant about the expense. My case's similar. I could get enough money for new monitor (I got myself PC last year that can handle 4K), but I'm not sure I need (or want) it just yet. My current one is less that 1yo and I'm happy with it. Yeah, my PC is actually pretty old and needs replacing, but my excess cash isn't that great and I don't want to make a big purchase while still working out the budget of my new situation. I'm probably going to look at my bank balance in a few months and make a decision then. |

Even if you love Mass Effect do not use the money now. IF your pc/console can handle the game no reason to spend $ on something that is expensive right now. Wait until you really need it or when the price drop. Yeah, that's what I think. It's not like they're going to take away my MEA copy. I can always see it's 4K glory later  It really 'refreshes' the game. I still remember when I started DAI on my new PC that could handle high/ultra settings with stable 60FPS, after playing it for almost half a year on low-medium with 15-25FPS (not kidding here). Boy, it defininitely doubled my in-game hours  In the meantime, I can spend that cash on more games *cough* |

Deep customisation, hmm, I think I'll need to start planning my character in advance, to try to avoid 3 hours in cc again like I did in DA:I "Deep" it's a subjective word. Remember they said the same about DA:I and people wasn't really satisfied with the result. I really don't care that much for that, maybe because I'm used to Beth games in which if there's a lack of haircuts or something you just have to wait for a modder to create them. In BW games that's not an option. |

"At E3 we got to see our female Ryder character and now we're seeing the male Ryder character. What a lot of people don't know is that these two are brother and sister, and they both exist in the game world at the same time. So, if you're playing as the sister Ryder, your brother is somewhere in the universe. And another fun little titbit is the character you saw two E3's ago in the N7 is actually their father. So we've got the full Ryder family now revealed".

Hair aside, it did present deeper customization than the previous ones. I'm hoping they'll borrow it for Andromeda and maybe even expand upon it. "ME: Andromeda will however, reference the old trilogy. In fact, old characters may reappear." Well if the arks left before the events of ME3, say right after ME2 and during the time Shep was stuck at Earth, it's possible we see characters from ME1 and 2. Ooo would be awesome if Lorik Qui'in appeared or like Gianna Parasini since both are absent during ME3. |

Lol So it's probably doing whatever Quantum Break did where it's doing some weird lower resolution being upped then re-rendered or something or whatever. Guess that means 4k UI then? Wonder how they'll do it when Scorpio hits. Cause I was hoping for less stupid and more 60FPS. |
