Jos @sjosz Man, sometimes I wish we recorded the conversations we have to tackle problems and make things more interesting in missions I work on. Jos @sjoszMy writer and I just thought of a really neat little thing that should help reinforce several things that are important to the narrative. I wish you guys did, too. You could record them and put them in some kind of "behind the scenes" dev diary type thing. It'd be interesting to watch. Artificial insemination or simply absent father? True... though BioWare does have something of a longstanding tradition of killing off your family members. I'd say, just assume one or both will meet an... unfortunate end. And be pleasantly surprised if they don't. (Honestly, be happy if you can save one.  )
I know they have that tradition. That's one reason why I was hoping we wouldn't have family super involved in the game, but now since they are it's all but certain 'our' character will be forced to feel and be a certain way and that we are going to have forced drama like this. <<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>> Hm... Perhaps the clan is not the central theme. Remember that the sibling is supposed to be "out there". "There", being not "here", means no opportunities for family drama. |

So I have a few sincere questions: You do know that Bioware aren't actually making a videogame that costs tens of millions of dollars for you personally, right? ... and that many people can actually enjoy a work of entertainment even if 100% of it doesn't match with what they want? You've reacted negatively to literally every single piece of information that Bioware have revealed about the game, which begs the question: why stick around and follow a game's development if you're already convinced you aren't going to like it? There are so many more things you could be doing with your time than waiting for news about a videogame and complaining about it. Yes, I am aware of that. I am aware of that too. I stick around for a couple reasons. First and foremost, this place discusses past games as well and I enjoy talking about them with other fans. Regardless of what Bioware thinks about shutting the BSN down, this kind of place is the best place for fans to talk to each other about the franchises they care about. Second, I don't want to dislike Mass Effect: Andromeda. I love the Mass Effect franchise and want to continue loving it, so that involves looking at MEA news hoping to see things I like. It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine. |
