Morrigan says she feels like a fish out of water when interacting with human society, which is something Mahariel can easily relate to. She also shows respect for elven culture, like when she tells Leliana that the wounded elven scout has his own gods to thank for his survival.
Beyond that, I just find it fitting. Morrigan develops a great interest in elven lore in Inquisition, plus her mother is Mythal and she can have an elven husband and a half-elven son. It is a very elfy family all around.
Admittedly, my Warden did struggle with the decision to kill her mother and took a while to accept it. But in the end, love won just as he told Flemeth: "I need Morrigan. I have no choice".

Which Origin do you think is the best ... to romance Morrigan? Human Noble, the classic tale of City Boy and Country Girl. This origin also give the most romantic option for the witch hunt: Noble human male born to wealth and power, Counselor to the king and Warden Commander of Fereldan, gives it all up to live in seclusion with the woman he loves. Claudia Black would have been absolutely stunning acting out Morrigan's reaction to that. Shame they didn't give that final scene more depth.

Miss Claudia Black... Morri's voice What do you mean? Morrigan has her own voice... Joke aside, our beloved characters would be half themshelves without their voice actors, right? Still,it's quite sad that as much as the actor's get their praise, the modellers and animators barely have their work acknowledged... The adorable way Morrigan fidgets with her fingers when she's anxious in DA:O,or the nod to herself when she's about to speak to the Inquisitor at the balcony, just to mention two small things i love, apart from the facial expressions Claudia Black would have been absolutely stunning acting out Morrigan's reaction to that. Shame they didn't give that final scene more depth. True, but on the other hand,I belong to the minority that was really pleased with the closure offered in Witch Hunt. I want to be with you. No matter what. Morrigan: Then come, my love. We will face the future together. One of the most cherished moments of my lifetime!

One of the most cherished moments of my lifetime! Indeed. After having the rug yanked out from under my PC's romance at the last minute in many a Bioware game, I was very happy with the ending of WH, just wish it had been a little more detailed. The whole DLC is quite brief and feels a tad rushed.

Which Origin do you think is the best and the worst to romance Morrigan? Dalish Elf Origin is one many people choose but frankly, I never felt connection others feel. In fact, I consider it to be one the less likely Origin story to have protagonist who would even work with Morrigan. As far as DE knows, everything Blight related is a bad news (both Dark ritual and Morrigan meddling with Eluvian). It makes my DE Wardens pull murder knife at her. Wardens Brosca and Cousland are probably more likely partners for her. The former agrees with her "kill your mother" policy, the latter can be played as archetypical knight who fell in love with dark witch which has some charms for me. (What? I'm all romantic inside.) I'm neutral on Tabris and Aeducan. Mahariel is followed by Amell and Surana. I mean... she insists you have to kill or let die everyone you knew. You can hate Circle system, but these people were your family and they're just trying to survive. "But hey, yeah, let's get rid of them to be greatest social darwinist in the room! By the way, I need your help with killing my mother..." I think a Circle mage can be a very good choice. She easily convinceable, that not to kill people is not a bad thing. And a Circle Mage can share her interests more than the others. And Morrigan can show him much new knowledge and a new, fresh perspectives, for example about the hedge magic. But everyone good with her. Hey Catalina, long time no speak. Anyway I agree with you. I've romanced Morrigan with a mage and liked the concept of her teaching me forbidden knowledge. I've only played the game as a Cousland and Amell and both times I romanced her. I love Claudia Black, Morrigan's VA. So once I heard her voice I was like she's my favorite. I did not know I could have a romance with her at the time, and was surprised when I could. I would like to try a City Elf and Dalish Elf next.

The most surprising thing about Morrigan is that she still raises HUMAN Kieran. Even in the scenario where the Warden isn't alive to talk her into it.
Just consider the fact that back in Origins, the baby was nothing but a tool to her. Also, she was quite angry when the Warden refused the ritual. I would've expected that Morrigan to toss her Not!Old God baby into the river. Or perhaps use magic to have an abortion.

Morrigan never came across to me as evil. She just had the whole survival of the fittest attitude. If you want evil go back to KOTOR and ask Canderous about the Mandalorian Wars. He outright says he misses burning worlds and killing thousands of people. After saying that he says he weeps for his past. Morrigan is not like that she's just odd at times. Her time with the Warden and her time in civilization soften her and made her a better person.

Morrigan never came across to me as evil. ... Her time with the Warden and her time in civilization soften her and made her a better person. Indeed, you have to remember who raised her. To Flemeth, Morrigan was a tool, never a daughter. 'Love is a weakness,' is Flemeth's philosophy. It took The Warden to convince Morrigan that her mother was wrong.

I never understood why people think Morrigan is/was evil. I mean there are a lot more evil characters in other games. Like in Oblivion the Orc who talks and laughs about killing a six year old girl on her birthday. That's evil. HK47 in KOTOR is evil. All he is programmed to do is kill and encourages the player to do so. Both him and Canderous respect murder and mayhem. They are evil. Those are just a few examples of characters from other games that are truly evil.

I wouldn't call Morrigan "evil" exactly. She is well versed in what most in Thedas would call Evil Magics, but that is largely due to propaganda from religious zealots. There is nothing evil about knowledge, which is what she has. The good or evil comes from how that knowledge is used. As far as I could tell, Morrigan never used these dark magics for anything evil. Maybe selfish pursuits, but not evil.
Morrigan is both complicated and simplistic. Her goal are fairly straight forward, but her methods are usually overly and often needlessly complex and secretive. She's not evil nor would I call her "good". She is a woman of many secrets, truths, and lies. Weeding your way through the maze that is Morrigan is what makes her one of the most... interesting characters in the series.

But I have 487 hours invested into one character in Inquisition and never finished the game. My Qunari never did the dlc's or even saw the scene of the fade you showed. The only time my Qunari was in the fade was when he found Cole.

Yep, in my world state. My Cousland romanced and did the dark ritual with Morrigan. So yes I am Morrigan's baby daddy. But I have 487 hours invested into one character in Inquisition and never finished the game. My Qunari never did the dlc's or even saw the scene of the fade you showed. The only time my Qunari was in the fade was when he found Cole. Oh... So, sorry for the spoiler... but 487 hours? O.o I have three finished games, and 5 started. 1070 hours, but I never did Champion of the Just (yet?). This scene with Morrigan, Kieran and Flemeth, is very sweet. Worth it to see. LOL, yeah 487 hours and four years later, still have the same character and haven't finished the main quest. The thing is I'm a completionist and this game is completionist hell. I have to collect every resource I come across no matter how many times I collected it. I have to solve every puzzle, collect whatever stupid asinine objects there are, and much much more. Last place I remember my Qunari being in was a battle encampment with soldiers from Orlais, that have demons wandering around the outside of encampments. As for that scene in the gif. It does look sweet and re-enforces my opinion that Morrigan is and was never evil like others make her out to be. She was just a product of her upbringing by Flemeth. I think I read somewhere that Flemeth's nature was revealed in DA:I. What is she old god or abomination? I don't mind the spoiler. I don't think I will ever get around to finishing the game.
