Mass Effect: Triangulum?

I think baring a disastrous launch or slow terminal decline in sales, or another change in developer the series will remain in Andromeda for the foreseeable future (10+ years) until it's clear the series needs a reboot/direction change to revive interest in it.

It's possible the series may loose it's way in Andromeda and so there may be a major desire on the part of fans and devs to hard reset the lore clock back to the initial premise/setting but likely with an original cast/story. Alternatively a movie or TV series takes off and EA/BioWare might want to tie the games in with it.

The series may have acquired so many new fantastic additions to the lore (i.e. Andromedian species, technology, etc.) by that time that BioWare and the fans may be reluctant to hard reboot the series in the milky way galaxy so another soft-reboot Milky way Initiative or a Triangulum Initiative may happen but we're getting ahead of ourselves. Just imagine the difficulty trying to explain the premise to newcomers.

Triangulum is another neighboring galaxy to the Milky Way.

And what a beautiful neighbor she is.
