This game should be called: Mass Effect: Helius

Isn't it called Andromeda after the "Andromeda Initiative"?

So why would it be called Helius?

LOL Andromeda (emphasis on ME) IS a Greek name. She became Perseus' wife after he saved her from a sea monster sent by Poseidon to kill her.

And Helius (spelled Heleus in ME) is the greek word for Sun (Ilios).

I think they meant that people know the name Andromeda from sources other than Greek mythology, in this case astronomy. Like how people know the names of some Roman gods not from Roman mythology but from the planets in the Solar System. 

Sol is the name of the sun in real life, hence why we call our home star system the Solar System. 

Making the trip all the way to the Andromeda galaxy alone warrants the title. Besides, this game could also be opening up more of the Andromeda galaxy for future titles beyond the Helius cluster.

MEH - Who cares?

Seriously, Mac Walters has said that they want ME:A to be a series not constrained into the format of a trilogy.  If this game is reasonably well received, I suspect there is a loose concept there to situate new installments to that series in different clusters in Andromeda.  Since this series is now going to be focused on exploration, it's probably going to grow based on ever stepping out and exploring new areas of the Andromeda galaxy.  That way, they can continually add new stories without worrying about conflicting too much with the old ones... tying them into the old one only to whatever degree they feel comfortable with.

It should be called Mass Effect Andromeda: Heleus.

Not exactly. Sol is only used in Science Fiction, Solar' means of, pertaining to, relating or proceeding from the sun. Thus Solar System means system of the sun. 

Usually in Sci-fi it's Sol system and Earth as Terra.
