Only time will tell if BioWare would delve into that kind of plot line again.

Since we just finished playing the whole "Organic vs Synthetics", "Is Synthetic Life 'Real' Life?" Trilogy, I hope not.
We know that both SAM and the Remnant are things in this story, and each seem interesting. No "new geth", though, please. It would be a waste to retread that ground so soon.

Hopefully not
Leave AI in the old trilogy, rather them delve deep into what building a new society will be like

But won't they have to address the trilogy at some point? This game takes place during ME2, but before 3 correct? Now by the time we arrive at Andromeda (600 years have passed right?) so that means Andromeda is waaay past ME3 and the conclusions resulting from it correct?
I know this has probably been discussed as far as timelines are concerned,...i think that if this game exists during ME2. but before 3...taking it from that perspective is saying that this is happening before the invasion, but then that part about 600 years to get to Andromeda makes me think that it also takes place years after ME3.

Maybe, but "not this game" seems to be the approach, for now. Mac said that there will not be communication with the Milky Way during this particular story. He also said that there are plans in place to introduce some MW species that don't appear in this game. Whether that means that they traveled aboard the Nexus with us ("in the background"), or additional vessels arrive from the MW, who can say?

i really hope so, and i think it's very likely to see a new synthetic species, its existence opens a lot of new possibilites for allies, or enemies

Well, I'm hoping Geth will be the Andromeda version of Geth.
As for new synthetic races, yes I would like that. There are several interesting things you can do with synthetics that you can't with organics. Right now if I had to guess I'd say the Remnant we see will be that, since they are all robotic and personally remind me of the Forerunner-build machines(Monitors, Sentinels, etc) of the Halo franchise.

Right? I worked hard to save my synthetic friends. If they were just going to retell their story, I'd rather keep the originals. I agree that the remnant are likely the major synthetic group or collective that we will see in the game. I'm not at all sure what to expect from them, other than to expect something very important. We do seem to be seeing the "remnants" of some hyper-advanced forerunners. That's always significant.

I can honestly take or leave this sort of thing. If the characters are interesting and the stories/missions around that narrative are fun, then sure why not. What I don't want to do is determine their fate, because it'll just bring the same exact problem the geth-quarian conflict had.

A synthetic race that is a grey zone. Seriously I am curious Geth weren't really a grey zone. Most of them wanted peaceful coexistence while a small number of them did not. Sort of like most species. It was only because of fear and misunderstanding that they chose to exile themselves. I'll miss the geth greatly. They are my favourite ME species; Legion one of my favourite characters. So I have conflicting feelings about what ME:A should do. It would be cool to have geth infiltrate the Ark/Nexus systems and come along for the ride, but it's not likely. Will there be synthetics? Probably, but probably only individuals. An entire species might seem too much like geth 2.0, whether they're allies or enemies. On the other hand they might, since there are already a lot of things that, on the surface, seem like Blank 2.0 - from characters to species.

Mac Walters has said multiple times now that Bioware has a plan in mind that allows all the old races we know and love to possibly show up in the new games, so the Geth have a chance. Considering their popularity, if they don't show up in this game I definitely think it won't be a question of if but of when they will.

I wouldn't call destroying everything that enters their territory a pinnacle of "peaceful coexistence" personally. I'd understand if writers would avoid anything of that scale altogether, because we might again fall into that old plot and all trash attached to it again. What if Skynet of some civilization did win it's crusade against creators? What it has to do after that? Killer-robot existential crisis?

Since they're pushing the whole 'Andromeda has a very organic feel to it' thing I would be surprised if they did have new geth. I'm thinking they might have more Thorian-like lifeforms for us to discover, but I guess we'll have to see.

What if some of the races in Andromeda developed organic-technology instead, similar to what we saw with the Collectors? Would completely bypass the issue of them having troubles with Synthetics, because all their technology is organic and was grown, not built. C'mon Bioware, give us a Moya-esque living starship!

Hope the new synthetic is not a boring lightbulbs and sexbots. Preferred them to be a total annihilating, destructive death-machines, which made the Reapers look like cuttlefish's babies.

I'd never say no to some juicy organic tech, but it's application is a bit different. AI's advantage in it's sheer capabilities in data-processing, unless you are a quarian you don't need it for some cargo-hauling drones.
