Saw Trap Them twice here in town about six or seven years ago. First time was when they were touring with Converge and the second time they were on their own tour. Pretty intense live shows and I don't own any of their albums though but I'll probably get their newest one. Their music has that good raw, crusty crunchy guitar tone and raw drums mostly thanks in part to producer Kurt Ballou (Converge). They're probably a little more hardcore than metal but I get a bit more of an old school Swedish death metal vibe from their overall sound. I think their singer not too long ago broke both his feet from jumping off a speaking and not landing right when they were touring. Didn't stop them from continuing to tour though.

Going back to the early influences on metal. You can hear it in this. Those lyrics/vocals and solo are metal as fuck. Not to mention doing it "live" on a cushioned high-back chair. '69

Psychedelic rebel rock is in there. Cream with Clapton's guitar influencing Sabbath. Then there's Jimi bringing some distortion

This woman's voice almost made me pop a killboner

This was.................interesting to watch. Kind of weird to hear a Meshuggah song with strings and female vocals 



I want to see High On Fire again. Best metal to listen to while stoned.
