After a long break from this place I feel it's time to deposit some more metal into this thread 

Lots of new stuff will be coming out the next few months that I am personally looking forward to. Enslaved, Ne Obliviscaris, Converge, The Black Dahlia Murder and Cannibal Corpse just to name a few. I recently picked up the new Decapitated and Dying Fetus albums and both are pretty damn solid.

I didn't even know they were releasing a new album until I was looking up lyrics from an older one and saw the album listed in their discography. Gotta toss some $$$ their way since it's not only a 100% independent release for sale exclusively as a "pay what you want" type of deal on bandcamp, but they're cool enough to also upload the entire thing in high quality and in individual tracks to YouTube themselves.

There's a couple of instrumental tracks in there that would fit perfectly into the soundtrack of the ongoing Life Is Strange prequel.

Love everything Devin does. I actually just watched this recently along with some other live videos he's done. Hopefully I can see him perform at some point in the future.

I recently got the new Enslaved album. It's really good if perhaps a bit different but I think it has a lot to do with having a new keyboardist/clean singer in the band. I noticed E as an album has even more prog rock elements than some of their other albums.

The River's Mouth kind of gives me a Mastodon type vibe.

Been digging Code Orange lately. They're fairly young guys (and gal) and are from Pittsburgh, PA. From some of the songs I've listened to, all members take turns on vocal duties so there isn't really one designated singer. Their music is pretty unique and I'm getting a blend of styles like Converge meets Meshuggah. Pretty neat.

My favorite black metal vocalist. Ghaal is awesome. That Moonspell song posted at the top of the page... simply beautiful. Decapitated hasn't been the same since that bus accident. Vocalist is still shit with little range and their music suffers greatly because of it. And my has Enslaved changed greatly since I last bought Frost. not sure I'm a fan of the change but that song and video were pretty cool. It is like Mastodon only they decided to sacrifice a goat instead of take shrooms lol.

Is sometimes thought of as behind the Norse countries, but IMO Finland is metal AF

another IMO underappreciated source is just to the East

Morbid Angel's latest album Kingdoms Disdained is awesome considering their last one from 2011 was a festering pile of turds.
