 If this came on the radio I would think it was just a Rammstein song. This was pretty killer though.


I came to post some Goatwhore and dammit I'm going to do it. Glad I got to see them live because they kicked some serious ass. This is my favorite track off their latest album and it's a damn good song to end the album with.

From SYL's first album. I think I remember reading somewhere that Devin Townsend did most of the album by himself.

Look at the comments under pretty much any kind of Metal or close to Metal song sung in german and you'll see lots comment like that...

Anyway I wonder if Till Lindemann helped with this song or if the band just desided to troll such comments:

Going to move on from German metal to Swedish 

I need more Grave. Arguably one of the pioneering bands from the Swedish death metal scene during the late 80's/90's.

From the start I was like "this sounds pretty neat and she does have a great voice" Then when it got heavy and she started growling, I was like "AH HELL YEAH!!" Never heard of them before but you're right, her vocals are extremely good.

Since it is International Women's day I think it's only fitting to post some awesome badass women in metal. Really like the latest Abnormality album. I would even say their vocalist sounds more brutal than ex-Arch Enemy vocalist Angela Gossow (though she is totally awesome in her own right.)


Brutal. Very Cryptopsy-ish.

Both her clean and growled vocals are good enough that in a vacuum where she just did one or the other, I'd still really like her singing. But the fact that she does both so good and seamlessly transitions between them is what really impresses me. Plus the contrast between the two is insane, it's almost hard to believe it's the same person doing both the clean and growled portions.

Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars



Currently on constant replay whenever I think I have the 13 and a half minutes to spare.

Some old Meshuggah. This was the first album of theirs I bought and so it holds a special place in my heart. Dat distorted bass..................loves it!

It can be argued whether Deftones are considered metal or not. But I've always been a fan of theirs since the Around the Fur to the present and thanks to Stephen Carpenter's guitar tone they can get really heavy. This song is a good example I think.
