Anyway, ask anyone who knows me, I'm far from an elitist. Elitism in music genres is fucking dumb anyway.

Do I think some genres are better than others? Yes. Do I think some bands are better than others? Yes. But that's all just my personal opinion. That goes without saying. I don't feel like I really need to add "in my opinion" to every post I make where I judge or rate a song, band or genre. It goes without saying that I'm expressing an opinion, not a fact.


As long as people don't try to push their opinions as facts I see no problem.

I'm gonna post another obvious band... but Danny Way will make it better.

A friend of mine actually attended Oderus's viking funeral. He worked for a metal zine from Brooklyn and was invited to go. I got pretty jelly when he posted pics from it on Facebook with captions like "this is happening RIGHT. NOW!"

I wish I had gotten into GWAR when I was younger but I didn't have much exposure to their music. I think the first time I heard of GWAR was in the Beavis & Butthead game for SNES.

Oddly enough, Dave Brockie did do a song with SYL and a small part on DTP's title track on Deconstruction.


This song is long but he's somewhere near the middle. Song also features Fredrik of Meshuggah doing crazy guitar stuff
