Dragon Age has always had DLC collection bundles but Mass Effect has not so far which has always seemed curious. I hope we don't get a repeat of ME3 where DLC prices will simply not budge for years and in the absence of season passes or bundles you have basically no choice but to pay an excessive premium for each major piece due to indefinite price fixing or miss out completely.
An alternative idea which might seem ridiculous but here goes nothing... how about this time being able to pay for multiplayer (and possibly singleplayer) dlc with credits accrued in multiplayer? A free to play model of sorts that might get reluctant hold outs to participate in multiplayer to access the full game for no extra cost rather than wait years for bundles and discounts which will be hugely impacted by second hand sales regardless. Of course this factors in the possibility that getting more people into the multiplayer might lead to longer term gains in micro-transaction revenue.
Which one was a DLC bundle for Dragon Age? The only two I can think of is the two pack of Follower Items for Dragon Age: Origins and the free pack of all the promotional items for Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 which was years after release of the game. With all the feedback towards the ending of Mass Effect 3 and how people were upset at how they felt forced to play multiplayer for the breath ending, I just can't see single player DLC being given away for free because you played enough multiplayer. As far as pricing goes I think they have changed with Dragon Age: Inquisition since that was the first DLC where you paid with cash for the DLC instead of the annoying BioWare points and that DLC did go on sale and they also had a Game of the Year edition. I can't say that will carrying forward to Andromeda, but at least it was a start. On on the old forums I remember there once being a mention of BioWare Points being an obstacle, but I can't remember the context to why and on what.

No season pass confirmed? Good thing! I hate when they sell you the game D1 and are already telling you...well the game isn't complete gives us 20-30$ more for the complete adventure. It just rubs me the wrong way. Good on BW to keep consistent with this. I'm sure MEA will get a GOTY edition when it will be the right time for it. it's exactly the same without the season pass we still have to buy all dlc's separatedly

I'm fine with no season pass. I never was keen to the idea of buying DLC in advance when there is no guarantee that the extra content will be worth purchasing. I definitely learned my lesson after buying the season pass for Fallout 4.

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition & Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY editions bundle all of the dlc together for a discounted price - we've never had anything like this with Mass Effect besides the PS3 edition of ME2. You earn credits or pay for credits in multiplayer to spend as you see fit. Clearly a high profile expansion would be expensive and require months of grinding but having the option would be nice for those who wouldn't otherwise pay for said content without a substantial discount years down the line. If active player numbers significantly improved the revenue gains may offset the cost of the expansions.

I like the season passes. It's a nice option for those of us who know they're going to buy all the DLC - to save a bit of money (I bought one for Fallout 4 on promo shortly after the game launched and saved almost $20 that way) and have them automatically install when available. I understand why some people wouldn't want to spend their money in advance when they don't know what they're getting for it, which is fine - I just want the option. Especially as Bioware games are one of the very few I would actually purchase one for.

Typical slimey EA. They don't want a season pass because they want to churn out overpriced DLC that will overall cost twice as much as the base game on launch. I'd have no problem paying for a season pass if it's a bioware game since that means save money which is against EA policy.

I am sick of DLC just give us it all at once. That said there probably will be such it is just one more way EA will make a dime off this game. Well, if reports are anything like DAI, when we have actual reports, it's gonna be an 80-100 hour game. So, that's like 2-4 regular games in one. Half of that will be time spent on fetch quests.

Yep, instead of being slimey and getting us to pre-order DLC that will only be for base improvements and other minor things since they already have our money and decided to rip us off. There are pros and cons to each DLC program, but I rather not have a Season Pass instead of it being like the garbage that Bethesda did for Fallout 4.

We don't need such a thing. We will be able to buy a complete edition (which they will name as Goty anyway, but it is merely a complete edition of their finished product) on sale at 66% Off during the Summer 2018 sales.

With other publishers, the money 'saved' by getting a Season Pass instead of all the DLC separately is minuscule anyway, isn't it?

Lol, I'd be happy if they had finally bundled up all the DLCs for the MET and offered them as a bundle at a price that does not exceed the price of the damn game. It's so silly.
The whole GoY idea is to sell each user two copies of the game, because that cost is less than the DLCs added up.

With other publishers, the money 'saved' by getting a Season Pass instead of all the DLC separately is minuscule anyway, isn't it? It depends on what you want with the DLC. The norm seems to be you buy them all but one and get the last one free, but that depends if you like the DLC content. I mentioned elsewhere that I thought Fallout 4 is a prime example of a bad Season Pass because unless you bought it prior to them increasing the price you paid $60 (or $40) for six pieces of DLC, but only two of them were story missions and the other four were expansions for your personal base. So out of those six DLCs only two interest me, which means the Season Pass was a waste of money.

So people are against (for arguments sake) $30 season passes but all for Bioware/EA charging $15 per single-player DLC pack for DA:I?
IMO, CDPR has kind of changed the game for big budget RPG DLC. For $25 we got more content than all of the DA:I single-player DLC combined for half the price (hell, I'd argue that HoS+B&W had more content than all of the ME3 and DA:I DLC combined). Say what you will about season passes, but when it's done like CDPR it's done right. At this point, I'd take a $30 season pass that includes whatever single-player content they develop over the overpriced scheme they've used for ME3/DA:I (anyone who says EA/Bioware doesn't overcharge for their SP DLC is, IMO, delusional).

I am personally indifferent to having a season pass. I just don't like the idea behind them for you are pre-ordering content that you have even less of an idea about then when you pre-order a game and that is when they make the big push to sell them. Until other companies copy what CDR did with The Witcher 3 I don't consider it changing the game for the game didn't change, they just did something different compared to everyone else. I could compare the DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition to the DLC for Fallout 4 and there Inquisition has the superior DLC and the better value for my money. To me constantly comparing one game to one that you think is overall better is just like what AMD is doing right now with their new cards always using Doom as the reference point and to me that starts to become a message saying Doom is the only game that has done it better. So right now The Witcher has done things better, but that doesn't mean that BioWare is the worst they just have room for improvement.

They are probably going to go the route of ME3 in which you are going to have to buy the DLC separately. Initially i was hoping for ME3 GOTY edition, but with everybody buying the dlc, why would they change that setup? Another way to increase a 60 dollar game to well over 80- 100 bucks due to dlc. Personally i was never a fan of dlc...back in the day developers used to try to give you the most bang for your buck....RE2 gave you practically two games in one with the storylines of Leon and Claire and RE1 with Jill and Chris.
And as glitchy as the game Fallout3 was, i got the GOTY edition with all of the DLC and soaked up a billion hours playing that game. I understand the concept, but it's a little frustrating picking up the vanilla game when they will be releasing additional content down the line...I also prefer to have my content on disk, not from this downloadable crap that loads onto your HD.
