Bioware hasn't released Season Passes in the past, I don't think we'll see one for ME:A.
I believe it's because their DLC schedule isn't planned out like other IPs.
They will probably release a "Game of the Year" edition once all the DLC is released.

BioWare hasn't done anything like a season pass before. That's not to say the won't in the future, but, no they haven't yet.

I am sick of DLC just give us it all at once. That said there probably will be such it is just one more way EA will make a dime off this game.

I don't know anything about a season pass thing, but if EA does the same as they did with DAI, they'll release a game of the year edition about 11 months after release of MEA for $59.99. I waited a few months after the game of the year edition was released and paid $39.99. So if you're willing to wait, you would get the game and all dlc plus save some money.

ANOTHER Day one DLC will be the straw that breaks the camels' back. Another? There was push-back at Mass Effect 3's Day One DLC (DAO / DA2 / ME2 had it too). But DAI specifically did not feature Day One DLC. If there is some, that would be annoying but also surprising after DAI.

But DAI specifically did not feature Day One DLC. If there is some, that would be annoying but also surprising after DAI. Nah, but plenty would argue that's because they cut the actual ending from the game...so they got their pound of flesh. And who can really blame them, these games are more and more expensive to make and a huge investment of resources without much guarantee of success other than established track record. Personally, I'd just prefer to pay 100-120$ on the front end for everything, but enough people wouldn't that paid DLC is the end result. With regard to this thread, I seriously doubt it. I think they prefer the DLC model. A fair number of people buy stripped down copies/downloads of older games for 5-10$, end up liking them, and go on to buy the DLC's at 5-15$ a pop...most of which are 5-10 years old. Pretty smart approach if you think about. Sell the base game for 10$ which is the bulk of the experience and follow that up with 30-50$ in DLC's. Damn crafty if you ask me.

Has to be said, I was very happy with (most) of Dragon Age Inquisition's DLC: - Jaws of Hakkon
- The Black Emporium (free update)
- The Descent
- Trespasser
However... - Spoils of the Avvar
- Spoils of the Qunari
I found those add-on packs to be gratuitous poor quality money grabs. Include those in the game or don't, please. A few repetitive armors was a cheap move in my view below the standard I'm used to from BioWare

I highly doubt that there will be a Season Pass, BioWare said with Dragon Age: Inquisition is that they don't want to be held to a schedule for the DLC they produce. I think it is also why they have the "super deluxe edition" of the game for that costs about the same as a Season Pass and basically functions the same way by having $50 worth of content released over a four month window.

I don't have a problem with the idea of DLC. However, I tend to have two practical issues with it.
1) By the time they come out, I've completed the game and moved on to something else. Sometimes I return, but despite buying the Omega DLC (Twice! Once for Xbox and once for PC), I still have not played it. 2) Most publishers ridiculously overprice their DLC by about double.
I would never buy a season pass.

Typically you find the Season Pass information when you pre-order a game. Not so with ME:A so I'm assuming that there isn't one.

I think it is also why they have the "super deluxe edition" of the game for that costs about the same as a Season Pass and basically functions the same way by having $50 worth of content released over a four month window. Could always go the path Bohemia Interactiveh has gone. Back when they released the ArmA 3 Alpha, they offered Supporter editions which would get all DLCs free, kind of like a season pass. They haven't stated how many, when or what would they be. It ended up with three being released until now (Karts, a testbed for their DLC system, Marksmen and Helicopters) and five more (Jets, Orange, Tac-Ops, Tanks and Malden) are planned with only loose release dates (I believe they only set quarters of years for those). So they could in theory just say "Yeah, we'll have somewhere around 4 DLCs, dunno when, not sure what they'll be, but they will be there and you can get them early right here!"

Trespasser is not the ending of DA:I. It's the epilogue and set up for the next game. Almost all plotlines are concluded by the end of DA:I with the defeat of Corypheus. Tresspasser focuses on what the Inqusition and the Inquisitor do after Corypheus and continues the Solas plotline. Including it in the base game would have given the game two endings and really screwed things up pacing wise and storywise.

I'm just going to buy SP dlcs so it's not like I going to buy weapons or MP pack anyways.

They need to actually develop the DLC to release it. Considering they are separate addons to the game, they're going to charge you separately for the product. The only arguable exceptions are Day 1 DLC that feature cut content. BioWare doesn't do that for significant content, with the only one being Javik's DLC IIRC.

I hope they will consider the Super Deluxe edition as an actual season pass. Those "multiplayer booster packs" alone won't legitimize paying it € 30 more than the standard edition. (But who am I fooling? People at BioWare will NEVER read this forum.)

Dragon Age has always had DLC collection bundles but Mass Effect has not so far which has always seemed curious. I hope we don't get a repeat of ME3 where DLC prices will simply not budge for years and in the absence of season passes or bundles you have basically no choice but to pay an excessive premium for each major piece due to indefinite price fixing or miss out completely.
An alternative idea which might seem ridiculous but here goes nothing... how about this time being able to pay for multiplayer (and possibly singleplayer) dlc with credits accrued in multiplayer? A free to play model of sorts that might get reluctant hold outs to participate in multiplayer to access the full game for no extra cost rather than wait years for bundles and discounts which will be hugely impacted by second hand sales regardless. Of course this factors in the possibility that getting more people into the multiplayer might lead to longer term gains in micro-transaction revenue.

No season pass confirmed? Good thing! I hate when they sell you the game D1 and are already telling you...well the game isn't complete gives us 20-30$ more for the complete adventure. It just rubs me the wrong way. Good on BW to keep consistent with this.
I'm sure MEA will get a GOTY edition when it will be the right time for it.
