WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ON OUR HAPPY DRUNK?
I got the most laughs listening to Oghren speak. He has a one-track mind, actually two-tracks, booze and sex. He drives Liliana and Morrigan nuts. No matter how Oghren starts out with the ladies, he'll always swing the convo around to sex. He's my favorite male Warden because he keeps things lighthearted even in the face of danger. Plus he's funny and everybody needs to have a funny drunk around for when things get stale.
BTW: In case you didn't already know this, if you are ever inclined to use "runscript selectparty" don't do it until after Oghren joins your party otherwise it will break your game thus that Oghren won't join when you go into the The Deep Roads.

He's my favorite male Warden because he keeps things lighthearted even in the face of danger "That's a lot of nipples!" I like Oghren. Though his build at the moment when you get him isn't optimal (I think it's mainly because of his equipement... brr... basic heavy armor and battleaxe) but he tends to be one of my main companions in Awakening (I can't stand Justice). I actually think that my Warden Commander(s) and rest of the Fereldan Wardens didn't disappear because of the cure for the calling - they just started a brewery and haven't told anyone yet.

The best dwarf. We killed the archdemon together and then he was always with my Warden in Awakening. He has some of the funniest comments about things like being trapped in the Fade.
I've always wondered what happened to him after DAA. He's probably still with the Wardens. If they were exiled I guess he would be in Weisshaupt now with others. Would be nice if we see him again in DA4.

I agree about Justice, he's got some serious issues. I was always afraid he might turn on my party or just abandon us altogether.

Yeah Zemgus I remember the time he was asking Liliana what did she wear under her robe and when she finally figured out what he was getting at she was disgusted. LMAOOOOOO I would think he went and found his old flame Felsi, at least that's what he said to her in the Tavern. Yeah would be nice to see him again.

"Let's show them our hearts... and then show them theirs." Best line is best! vertigomez, There was no questioning his loyalty. After finding his wife Bronca in the deep roads and she insults his companion he say's to her: "Be respectful woman, you're talking to a Grey Warden". He's a guys kinda guy.

One of my absolute favourites in the whole Dragon Age series. Definitely the best dwarf character, together with Sigrun. Love him to bits!

I've heard some really disturbing things about Branka's abusive behavior towards him. If this is true, the beatings, the abandonment, the cheating and the disgrace she inflicted on him, Branka needs to take a long walk off a short pier.

Poor Oghren, he fell in love with a self absorbed sodding winch who only cared about her precious Anvil. I always take pleasure in killing her.

Oghren has a safe spot in me heart. He reminds me of me cousins; loud, brash and drunk but will always have your back no matter what. Okay, will have your back as long as he can swiff some booze on the side

What do I think of Oghren? "Come here you mad drawven stallion." ;D He's one of my favorites of Origins and I was happy to see him again in Awakening. His banters are the best -- pair him with anyone and it's a laugh. Some of my favorites are with Wynne, (romanced) Alistair, Dog and Justice: Oghren: Did Kristoff ever butter the southern pony? Justice: Kristoff has never seen a southern pony much less butter it. What does that even mean? Oghren: ...Nothing. Just forget it. I hope he's doing well as a Warden and I'd LOVE to see him again.

I actually think that my Warden Commander(s) and rest of the Fereldan Wardens didn't disappear because of the cure for the calling - they just started a brewery and haven't told anyone yet. I kind of love this idea. "When questioned by investigators from Weisshaupt why the Wardens in Ferelden had no idea of the False Calling plaguing their brothers in Orlais, a particularly wobbly elf admitted that they assumed the splitting headaches and odd music they were hearing was a side effect of their home-brewed moonshine."
Alternately, the "Quest for the cure" was an excuse the Warden-Commander cooked up to explain their absence, while they actually engaged in a giant pub-crawl across Thedas. When last sighted, they were half-naked and unconscious on a barge bound for Antiva.

My fave DA character along with Morrigan. Bff 4 ever.
Too bad they dumped him for Varric. I mean, Varric is alright but I take Oghren any day.

Oghren always cracks me up. So many of his banters are just priceless but my favorite is the one where Wynne asks Oghren why he calls Alistar a "little pike twirler".

I love Oghren, he's one of my favourite companions in Origins by a landslide, along with Zevran and Sten. He never fails to crack me up with his dialogue and antics, and I legitimately cheered when he appeared in Awakening as a companion. His banter with Anders is also priceless. Too many favourite moments to list, like the Broma brothers, talking him up to Felsi during his quest, "Asschabs!" and "Schleets!", and of course, "no one touches Oghren's junk and LIVES!". Funny stuff aside, the Ultimate Sacrifice epilogue in Origins with him crying and naming his child after the Warden is incredibly moving. He just felt like a genuine friend of the Warden if you invested time into listening to him and not belittling him like everyone else. BFFFs. I can understand maybe why some people don't like him - the rude, bawdy dwarf isn't for everybody (especially if you're easily offended I guess). But I love the trope and characters who are like this (like Khelgar in NWN2 and even Gimli in LOTR) always become some of my favourites. I know he's also a bit unpopular after Awakening for 'abandoning' his child to join the Wardens but I feel like it was in character for him, strangely. He was a warrior and couldn't find peace in settling down and being a family man - he needed to keep fighting, that was his life, it just made sense. I felt bad for Felsi but at least you can encourage him to write letters to his kid so that he's not absentee. (Which the Warden graciously proof-reads, hehe.)

On my current playthrough I decided to get Oghren as soon as I could. It's a bit tough but I am finishing the Deep Roads and I still have to do the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest and get the elves. It will be interesting to take him places I have never taken him with me before.

Oghren is awesome!
Have you tried during that notifications of death quest choosing a line 'Would somebody like to handle this for me?' and let Oghren respond? It's lol worthy.
