@domi Yes, postpics post pics! There is also a Show your Hawke thread but really this thread is good for any of the trilogy. Also, rogue in DA2 is the best rogue, o ly a tempest dual weilder in DAI comes close Sure, here is what I can come up with (close up and in-game). It does look a bit different in the game from whta it looked in creator (which is pretty much what he looks on the Character screen), but I don't mind it:

Sometimes I can't figure out how the quests trigger. Take Federic (western approach) for example. I didn't talk to him but swept through his area, rather near to him earlier. Apparently, it's enough for me to pick up the bait ingredients quest and signs of dragon feeding. Sometimes when I talk to him, I get the White Claw quest; removing their bait for the dragon. This time, I don't get it even after talking to him. It's so inconsistent.
I think just finding one of the bait ingredients will trigger that part of the quest, same with finding the supplies. Have you found the book in the Still Ruins and had it translated? I'm not sure if the next part will trigger until that's done. I like Dorian's comment when Frederic asks if anyone can read it: "Don't look at me."

I definitely think so. For me at least, Frederics quest always stalls until I have the boook translated.

For the present PT, I don't get the white claw until the book is translated; the other quests are already done. But in other PTs, I get the white claw even without the translation. That's why this quest line is confusing. * I tried the HW dragon at level 16. Needless to say I got my ass handed to me or rather IB was the first one to go down. Because of him, there's not enough potions to go around. Cass was handling it well. Solas was also pummeled but he's more hardy than IB. I finally hear more feisty arguments between Solas and IB. I'm seriously annoyed with IB; you're just one sad robot aren't you? I don't blame you, you were brought up by the Qun, fed by the Qun and it's no wonder they led you around with a ring in your nose. Even so, you found your old role difficult to accept any more so you thought you were being loyal, faithful by having your mind twisted and because you trust the Qun. The procedure still didn't exactly kick the desire for freedom out of you but you stubbornly continued to blow the horn for the Qun, believing by doing so, you're still an old faithful branded cattle of the Qun. One of IB's rebuttal about the Tal Vashoth was a reveal on the murder of a Tamissan (sp?) and the children under her care. He's very quick to dismiss / accuse the TV as a bunch of heartless savages. Granted, the slaughter cannot be condoned but he ought to ask himself why the TV did it. They were all given the same care and education, the TV are not mindless, so what drove them to it? Were they reeducated? Did those "clever" reeducators remove something they shouldn't in order to get those men to fall in line such that when the men finally broke away, they were deeply scarred because of the meddling?

In my latest PT I gave the Schaffers rampart to BW and raced down to upgraded war horn for him. He generates so much guard for us all that even Bull survives.

I am now done with everything in the base game! Well, everything I wanted to do, I did skip a handful of things. (Didn't go out of my way hunting for mosaic tiles or bottles, left a few of the high dragons alone and skipped two side quests. The Spoils of Desecration because there was no way my Dalish was breaking open those graves, and Letter From a Lover because I somehow failed to pick it up and couldn't be bothered hunting around the Hinterlands for the letter by the time I realized.)
Today I went to the Cradle of Sulevein for the first time ever! After failing to find directions there on my first couple of runs, I deliberately left it until I was playing an elf again so that I'd have something new to do. Another beautiful elven ruin to explore, an neat sword at the end. Glad Bull is in my party, so someone can actually use it.
All in all I've seen a surprising amount of new content this time around given that this is my eighth playthrough. New romance, new elven ruin, several conversations with NPCs that I'd somehow skipped before, and a number of war table outcomes I hadn't previously seen. Now I just need to do the DLC and see if there are any surprises waiting there ...

I played both Riya and Kaylee a bit. Riya helped Vivienne to get the heart of a snow wyvern to save her love, but sadly, it didn't work. After that, she helped Josie to get a title for the du Paraquettes, so that they can stop the House of Riposes attempts to kill Josie. Luckily, she was more successful there´. After that, she decided to visit some elven ruins, where she had to find some runes and the body parts of an old guradian, who turned out to be a demon Poor Viv Orlais again *sigh* Josie is happy And Kaylee is still in Haven. She talked a bit to the people around Getting to know Josie Talking to Leliana (those first two conversations with Leliana are actually rather good)

Not game related but I just realized that Harry Hadden-Paton (male British VA for Inquisitor) is on the Netflix show "The Crown" and I needed to tell someone. He obviously sounds different but there was one word that came out just like the Inquisitor and I had to race to IMDB to confirm

Today, Elayer visited the Fallow Mire, then left soon after since she was under level-ed. Then she went again, left, went again, left, etc. With her halfhearted prodding she managed to close two rifts, light two beacons and establish one camp. And kill a few Bogfishers. So a decent run for a level 5 in a world of levels 8 and 12. She will probably prod them some more before continuing with the main story.
Breki on the other hand, established a camp near a Dragon breeding ground, closed two rifts, killed some outlaws, heard some banters and continued his debate whether to visit Redcliffe or go straight to Therinfal Redoubt. On one hand, he might spot the person responsible for the blast in Redcliffe and have his memory jogged (like happened to Drogan when he saw that Bronto, way back when) or the person might spot him and stab him in the back (like that noble hunter at the trading post did to Hvergil. He never saw her coming). Still he is more leaning to heading out the Therinfal soon, since he figures you don't suture a wound by pouring more blood at it.
Oh and Thyriel went Ram hunting. Wasn't really planning to continue her playthrough, so she sneaked out by herself. Closed a rift while she was at it and delivered a potion to empty filled lungs. So she had fun. Also established some camps and sent out messages where she was, so Cassandra wouldn't tear her hair out in frustration.

I started another Dragon Age Inquisition playthrough ( my tenth if i'm not mistaken ) with my favorite protagonist a female Elven - Mage. And did a lot of the Hinterland side quests and made some powerful armor for her in Haven.

Played some more DA Inquisition and met corky Sera in Val Royeaux and i also met up with the Iron Bull on the Stormcoast and killed my first Giant.
That could be me in this video the only thing that i never use is that weird battle system. And i had Sera instead of the Iron Bull after that i did some more questing on the Stormcoast.

Guess what happened? Always wise to disable leaping shot for your archers before this fight! Unless of course he got pushed off by a tentacle. Then he'll respawn where he got kicked off and get kicked off again if you don't move quickly!

Guess what happened? Always wise to disable leaping shot for your archers before this fight! Unless of course he got pushed off by a tentacle. Then he'll respawn where he got kicked off and get kicked off again if you don't move quickly! Would you believe it was neither? I was jumping the Inq around, avoiding the tentacles and spikes, shooting all the while, while waiting for the cool down on the elemental mines. Once it was ready, I threw them at the guardian's base just as the tentacles flailed. I jumped the Inq to avoid an incoming tentacle. Somehow the combination "blasted" the Inq to the spot you see in the image. She didn't fall. She could shoot the guardian from there which was what I did. I'm also getting a lot more funny body flopping this PT. I'm guessing it's due to IB and Cass simultaneously kicking / hitting the target / their targets that landed at a specific angle. Unfortunately I don't record PT or I'll make a funny vid. Body flopping * zombies flying across the screen * two heyenas that went right and left * lieutenant Carrol (red templar at Lion Pavilion) flew off high to the right of the screen. I was standing, trying to track his trajectory but couldn't see him. Five secs later, he dropped down from the sky to land on my left * venatori boss mage at the tewinter ruin in WA flew left across the screen, his loot was left behind where he was originally standing

Just finished DAO again, what an amazing game, if a bit rough around the edges. Still, super. Completed Wild Hunt and reunited with my waifu.
Now, I wanna jump back to Inquisition. Anyone want to help me to get the most of the game without burning myself? I would appreciate it. I have some ideas, but I am welcoming more. Missing my squad.

Talking about Magekiller and Dragon Age 4 with my husband when he gives his theory about what Dragon Age 4 will entail.
"The whole game is just one long boss battle. Solas vs. Sandal. Choose your side. If you play as Solas and win, the veil is broken and the universe ends. If you play as Sandal and win, you enter a magical land of enchantment."

Guess what happened? Always wise to disable leaping shot for your archers before this fight! Unless of course he got pushed off by a tentacle. Then he'll respawn where he got kicked off and get kicked off again if you don't move quickly! - I don't know, how often I had to scrape up the pieces of Sera or Varric, because they heroically jumped of the nearest cliff or something like that. I played my mage Hawke the last days and finished DA 2 with her. I will put the text in spoiler tags for @domi 's benefit: don't open the tags, they spoil a possible end of DA2 for you. You can look at the picks behind the second spoiler tag, they don't give away anything from the story She sided with the mages (I can't bring myself to side with the templars, when Meredith is talking about killing everyone in the circle, even the kids, plus Sol, my favorite mage in DA2), was tempted to kill Anders, but listened to Merrills surprisingly good advice to bring him to use in the fight. Which turned Sebastian into a whiny idiot - honestly, why should Hawke kill Anders? She kills enough people as it is, so if Sebastian wants Anders dead, he should do it himself instead of asking others to do the dirty work. Hawke isn't the Viscount or guard captain or anything other official, so she has basically no right to kill Anders without trial - or am I wrong here?
Anyway, Orsino stayed sane and alive this time, thanks to a great mod, that erased the Harvester from DA2. It always bugged me a bit, that Orsino would went crazy, when everything isn't looking that bad. Meredith went crazy as always and was put down. It is always warming my heart, how old friends joining the battle against her, like Zevran.
Now Hawke is riding into the sunset after making peace with Carver, who actually had some really sweet words for his big sister (this is my first playthrough I finished as a mage, I normally play rogues) and of course her lover Fenris was with her.
Here is my mage Lyra Hawke: and more of Lyra meeting Carver again boat trip to the Gallows with Fenris, Carver and Isabella Now, I'm going back to my favorite class, the rogue. This is Alighiera Hawke (and of course, her dog is called Dante) She will either end up with Fenris again (I really did grow fond of him after I couldn't stand him for a long time) or Isabella (she is such a great character to have around). I used to romance Anders, because I like his character for most of the game, but I like a bit more sanity around me nowadays

I was doing a series run. I'd JUST met Hawke and made her perfect -- and headscratched because Hawke said Sebastian was a chantry advisor, but I'd just gotten a letter from Prince Sebastian, ruler of Starkhaven -- when... My husband's PS4 corrupted Dragon Age Inquisition.
SIGH. So now my brilliant plan of playing all three Dragon Age games followed by all three Mass Effect games padded by SWTOR to psyche myself up for MEA (and keep my expectations realistic, because I loves them all very huggy much but none are perfect) is in DISARRAY. I've got about 90 hours of downloading with patches, DLC, and my comically slow internet, and during that time, I can't play SWTOR because my internet will rebel.
I joked about going back to playing Dragon Age 2 again, but my husband threatened to rebel because before I started the great Bioware march, I'd played Dragon Age 2 twice in a row, so he is thoroughly sick of watching it. So I guess Mass Effect is getting bumped up in the play order.
But now I'm thinking of my joyously grumpy male elf in Inquisition. His Venn diagram of hate intersects with everything, and he's sick of his clan, and the Inquisition, and probably walking by now. He has the sweet half-face tattoos and the glam-rock mullet, and he's gloriously growly. He's hooked to Princess/Vicountess Hawke, who mostly tried to keep her head down, earn a bit of coin, and avoid trouble. Epic fail on that last part. And my sweetest warden, my first Queen Cousland, who occasionally was a bit rude on account of noble self-importance, but otherwise pretty much a naïve idealist who wanted to save the world.
It's actually the first time that I did all three back to back... Although now I guess I STILL HAVEN'T DONE THAT. Thanks, PlayStation.

My nephews are not the adventurous type when it comes to games. I don't see them play anything than dota when they're free and that's rarely; they're not like the young generation, computer games / movies do not occupy them, they don't have the time. The oldest is 20 and he went out to work yesterday because of the dbl pay during the holidays. He didn't have to but he wanted to. Since it's still the CNY holidays and one of them doesn't have duty at his camp (army), I'm going to see how he reacts when I intro him to playing DAI. I told him he's my lab rat today , he's agreeable.
