So started back at Camp, did some resetting of character abilities and stats and a lot of chatting to the team. I gave in and freed Sten so chatted to him as well and only have Wynne, Shale, Oghren and Zevran to go. Decided to do Return to Ostagar and deliberately didn't take Alistair, only Dog (Rex) came so no constant NPC chatter just a few barks and whines. Decided I'd do Soldiers Peak next, arrived there and will start it tomorrow, no game play today. Pic's Sten in Action Rex mourning King Cailan Changed Armour

olnorton I am having a problem with The Winter Forge, when I try and use the tools icon on my toolbar it wipes my skills from the toolbar and does not bring up the enchantment's etc. toolbar? I have tried reinstalling it but it just keeps doing the same thing, is there a setting that has changed that I need to fix?

*sharp inhale*
I still can't decide on an Inquisitor for my YouTube playthrough
Have to work through DA2 as well, which is going to be a struggle since it's a playthrough I just know I'm not going to like since I aim to side with the Templars and F Meredith So why am I doing this to myself? I have no idea...I just wanted to play something different from what I normally do (hence my girl Ronja), but now I'm really starting to doubt myself
Same for my Inquisitor...I mean, part of me wants to do my usual run of female elf romancing Cullen, but other part of me wants to pick a Qunari...but I've no idea who to romance with her (I know Sera is a very popular choice, but I don't really like her romance (watched it on YouTube, but it didn't really appeal to me)
Also...if I were to pick a Qunari...would it make sense for them to drink from the Well of Sorrows?

For the pleasure of seeing her face when Cullen pulls a sword on her. ther part of me wants to pick a Qunari...but I've no idea who to romance with her Just slap some red hair on her and some horny romance will happen on its own. For me personally, when it comes to dealing with the wrongly led organizations like the Templars (or lets say the Order of the Flaming Rose in Witcher) I tend to view it more as giving those Orders a chance to reform under men with better set morals to correct their aim.

2) see, that's one thing I never really got...in most media all the Qunari we see have grey skin (hence the racial slurs of ashen-skinned giants) with white hair...so why give us different hair colors? (then again, I was going to give my Qunari black hair since I hate how the hair and eyebrow color is linked with mods ) But romancing Iron Bull...dunno, I mean, part of it makes sense, but she'll be a mage, not really sure how that'll translate
3) I tend to go with "the good guys" but that's the funny thing in Dragon Age, there aren't really good or bad guys (aside from darkspawn maybe, but they're virtually mindless) just people in those organizations making bad and evil decisions.
Anyway, thank you for helping out...I think I might actually make a Qunari character now (I just love their war table missions)...just need to pick a good name for her. Was going to go with Malak (since it means messenger) but I find that more suited for a male character (despite it being a unisex name)

I also try to stay faithful to the lore as much as possible. I only dared to give my Lavellan purple eyes because it has been mentioned in the books that elves do have such unusual colors. And yeah, the romance options for female Adaar aren't all that great. I'd recommend Sera. What she lacks in basic decency, she makes up for it with tons of enthusiasm in the relationship. Or you could give poor Blackwall a chance, lol. Who knows. He might not be that bad.

I'd recommend Sera. What she lacks in basic decency, she makes up for it with tons of enthusiasm in the relationship. Or you could give poor Blackwall a chance, lol. Who knows. He might not be that bad. I did the same for my first Lavellan, my second one had golden eyes My Amell as well has purple eyes, but mainly because in her world state I tried to take inspiration from certain Disney princesses with their appearance, ergo my Amell was inspired by Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) who canonically has blond hair and violet eyes (at least in marketing...pretty sure they're blue in the animated movie), and my Hawke for that world state has brown hair and hazel-green eyes, inspired by Belle (Beauty and the Beast)...never made an Inquisitor for that world state, though I'd probably have picked Ariel for that one
My first (male) Adaar went with Cassandra, because I liked the idea of the pair of them traveling around together Come to think of it...Blackwall has a similar ending if he wasn't made a Warden, his Trespasser ending says he travels around with a romanced Quizzy
...I'll try to decide once I get to her, but I'm afraid she'll end up alone, which wouldn't be that bad...I can give her a head canon romance...or whatever

I was sooo going to say Dorian next who has awesome romance line and a weakness for big horny men. You could make Bull sooo jelly or have a threesome. Then I totally remembered that your Inky is a girl. Given the options, I'd probably go for Blackwall. I have this tendency to choose my Inky's class after I chose the romance (if that person is your party member) so I could drag them around with me everywhere I go. A tank class compliments the mage.

I have this tendency to choose my Inky's class after I chose the romance (if that person is your party member) so I could drag them around with me everywhere I go. A tank class compliments the mage. I often base my romances around that as well, which is why my canon romance in Inquisition is Cullen (who's also technically a tank since he's a S+S warrior) Not so true in my current playthroughs though, since Ronja romanced Zevran who's a stabby stab rogue like her...and Kara (Hawke) who's romance will be Fenris, who are both sword wielding badasses (well, hammer smashing in Kara's case) In my own canon though...much more true, I mean Raelyn romances Zevran as well, but she's an archer, Ailith is a mage and Fenris a warrior, and my Lavellan has Cullen and in my second canon...I only have Minerva so far who's non-canon romance is Nathaniel (in-game she's pretty much alone)
...I'm working on way too many world states atm, I also have another one planned with male protagonists which will contain my Mahariel Arenor, who was previously a rogue but going to make him a warrior, he'll be romancing Morrigan...Callum Hawke who'll be a rogue and romance fellow rogue Isabela, and of course my Malak Adaar who'll be romancing Cassandra
I could've made a male Inky, but I prefer playing female characters...'sides, my male Adaar is devoted to Cassandra
Oh but, I did figure out a name for my Adaar...she'll be named Phaedra (the name means "bright/glowing"...which is exactly what the anchor does )

So yesterday just completed Soldiers Peak and mucked around with The Winter Forge MOD to make some new armour for Swift but the TWF is causing havoc wiping my tool bar which means I have to respec. Swift every time I use it. Major thing I did was execute Avernus, I am not sure I have ever done this before and got his robes which I was excited about they are nothing special. I also just attacked Sophia straight away didn't bother listening to her ravings. Pic's

I stabzy your dad... wanna go to my tent? It sounds to me like you're thinking through all your worlds slates in triples. I tend to have more of what I consider a 'good' world slate, and I have a couple for each game, then I mix and match them. That is I had done so, until the Keep stopped working for me. Pretty sure I'm stuck with my not the best world outcome template at this point. For DAO, I consider two good endings. One where my warrior Cousland is married to King Alistair. The second is where my Arcane warrior put hardened Alistair with Anora on the throne, and then my Warden ran off together with Zevran to Antiva to take a few heads off for peaceful living. DA2 My rogue/mage Hawke is romancing Fenris (prefer rogue for class variety across three world slates since I'd probably put Alistair romance first). However, I consider Isabella's romance to be the best written one. Inquisition: I jump Cullen's bones every chance I get with any class/race of his preference (probably elf mage/Cullen for my cannon world slate). But I also love Dorian romance.

Earlier I posted DAI would not launch. I downloaded a new version of frosty and downloaded the ea app. I had to run steam, frosty, and the app as administrator to get the game to launch. Because of that I had to reload the mods I had for the game. That was annoying. I haven't tested them out, but the few I did are ok Cass with a new hairstyle. Isabela playing the role of Leliana and Josephine. My new character, at least for the time being. When I posted about the issue I had with DAI, I noticed a few playing DAO. excellent game. So I decided to start it up. I downloaded software so I can use a controller. The setup is ok, but I still have to deal with the mouse. I loaede up a save to see how well the controller worked. What sucks is I map a button to do this, then start the game to make sure it works the way I want it to. That took a bit of time. Even now I have a few tweaks to make, but it's ok. I also wanted to make sure the mods I had were still functioning. They were. I loaded up a save. You know the last time I played the game was over 18 months ago? Using the controller with the mouse is ok. I even loaded up DA2 to see if the setup would work. It did. Back to DAO. I played a bit. I loaded a save that was near the beginning of the game. I played a rogue until I got to camp. All appears ok. Here's a bunch of pics I will start a new DAO playthrough shortly.

Where is that high dragon and the guy you are talking to? It's a mod. It also has the fancy weapons seen and the armor Alistair is wearing. You can choose to get the items through the console or go to a location on the map to fight through the minions to reach the guy to buy. I did both though I had nowhere near the coin to make any purchase. www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1430

However, I consider Isabella's romance to be the best written one. Inquisition: I jump Cullen's bones every chance I get with any class/race of his preference (probably elf mage/Cullen for my cannon world slate). But I also love Dorian romance. Then again, if the Warden ain't a Cousland or Tabris...Howe pretty much asks to be killed. He could've just let Anora go with us, stood trial for his crimes and go to prison (then probably die as Fort Drakon is taken by the darkspawn, which would absolve us of our death xD). But as he didn't...you could say we acted in self defense after he said no and attacked us.
I generally have one canon world state, but it's so hard to determine which one. Every time I think I've found it, I get this new idea and I'm like 'cause presently of course I'm doing my YouTube series, and the characters I'm playing there aren't exactly my canon ones. As much as I love my new Brosca, I just don't like playing dwarves (I much prefer humans and elves...Qunari are pretty cool too though)
In my canon world state I have only one ending, Alistair as sole King on the throne after he killed Loghain in the duel (also Anora betrayed me, so there's that too ), and my Tabris who becomes the Bann of the Denerim Alienage. In my head canon she sets up a militia, and has two statues build in the Alienage as well, one for Garahel and another for his sister Isseya (after finding out about her of course). She also starts trade between the various Alienages across Ferelden, which effectively makes the Alienage a second kingdom. Alistair is told many times by the nobles to "curb" the growth, and him retaliating in full Alistair fashion "did you know she killed an Archdemon?" making the nobles back off.
For DA2 I vastly prefer playing a mage though rogues are a lot of fun as well (especially during Wayward Son) I always romance Fenris, of course xD
And as I said before, Cullen is my canon romance in Inquisition, and like you with an elven mage (the way he envelops her when they hug is so cute )
Before Inquisition came out, I had this idea for an all female human mages world state, which is where my Minerva comes from (though back then she had a different name)...might be interesting to revisit, though that also means all my Inquisitors to date have been mages (well, not strictly true...I did try out a warrior once, but she didn't really get very far) xD
Which is why I'm pondering to make my Hawke for my YouTube playthrough a mage after all, and my Quizzy a warrior...but that'd throw of my entire color coordinated specializations . Ronja has Duelist and Shadow, icons are blue, Kara will be a Reaver, icons are red...and Phaedra will be a Rift mage...icons being green. There's no warrior specializations who's icons are green...only blue (templar), red (reaver) and purple (champion). Also, I'm not very good with the melee classes in Inquisition

She also starts trade between the various Alienages across Ferelden, which effectively makes the Alienage a second kingdom. Alistair is told many times by the nobles to "curb" the growth, and him retaliating in full Alistair fashion "did you know she killed an Archdemon?" making the nobles back off. That's why I think Alistair is a way better ruler than Anora. In his time as a Warden, he learned to be a lot more tolerant of all races and classes. Anora always struck me more of a good Minister of Finance, but she'd put down the Alienage without a second thought because it's been that way since forever. Cullen/Inky hugs. This route is just so romantic. The best class in any DA game is the mage class. But I figured I couldn't make them all mages (I totally would). In Inquisition, I found 2h warrior to be fairly squishy, though, shield and sword combo makes you indestructible. But I never like shield and sword because it takes too long to wack things dead.

In Inquisition, I found 2h warrior to be fairly squishy, though, shield and sword combo makes you indestructible. But I never like shield and sword because it takes too long to wack things dead. I just love how absolutely snarky Alistair can be without even trying . My Tabris views him as the brother she never had (she has Shianni and Soris too, but you know what I mean), and views him as a good King because in his own words "he doesn't want it", which in her eyes makes him perfect for the job because that'll mean he won't start lording over her any time soon. First time around when I played my Tabris, I was relatively late with hardening Alistair, so got this hilarious dialogue in Denerim when she suggests he'll make a good King. And I consider that my canon conversation with him, that eventually triggers his hardening dialogue and makes him realize she was right in the end. Alistair: So, I'm guessing someone told Anora I was planning to steal her throne. She has a nasty glare.
Alistair: Did anyone mention this wasn't my idea? I think she's a great queen. As far as I'm concerned, she's welcome to it. Tabris: I think you'd be a great king, Alistair. Alistair: Really? What ever would give you that idea? Tabris: You have a kind heart and a strong sense of justice. Alistair: Well, it's nice that you think so. Alistair: What do you think I should do? Go ahead and be king? Just let it happen? Tabris: You should do what you want to do. Alistair: Hmm. I suppose I could always flip a coin. Got one handy? Alistair: It's just that everything I've heard about Queen Anora is that she's the one who really ruled here, not Cailan. Alistair: "All right, Alistair, enough whining!" "Thank you, Alistair, that's excellent advice. I'll do my best!" Tabris: I agree with Alistair Alistair: About the whining? I know, I know. Someone really needs to slap that one around. Tsk.
And I agree with mages being the best class, they're just so much fun to play...and why not make them all mages? I've done so before, it's a lot of fun to imagine how everyone's like "well a mage kinda effed up this time" and then someone else be all "yeah but a mage also saved us from the Blight, so are they really that bad?"
But I do really like my canon world state of elf and human protagonists ...hm, though now I wonder how that'll affect Dread Wolf (chances are I'll want to play an elf in that game too) Hm, maybe I should grab Minerva as my canon Warden, then make Hawke a stabby stab rogue, keep my Lavellan mage...and have a rogue for Dread Wolf 'cause I'll be a rogue in Dread Wolf, I decided that the moment that this concept art appeared (unless of course they'll make an arcane archer specialization, then I'll be a mage)

Where is that high dragon and the guy you are talking to? It's a mod. It also has the fancy weapons seen and the armor Alistair is wearing. You can choose to get the items through the console or go to a location on the map to fight through the minions to reach the guy to buy. I did both though I had nowhere near the coin to make any purchase. www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1430 Thanks for that will check it out next PT or can you install it mid game? I use the console at the start of the game and give myself lots of money.
