I like those threads, though I'm not so much for different body sizes (there I hope they spend their ressources on different armor & casual clothing designs, weapons and hair that doesn't look like plastic).
I just hope for some normal, well formed eyebrows for Ryder this time, not some fuzzy ugly neandertal thingies or Bert#2 ones (except for gag purposes or if you really want to be hairy all the way). And I hope they will move the right way in conversations.
Another thing I wish for is something like face animations or body poses in different lights (so that you can change between different ingame lightings and try out some face animations. It is a very common feature in most character creators nowadays - our asian collegues use this feature since 2012 or earlier- and it is very helpful to create a nice looking character with ingame mechanics. So you don't have to be afraid to have an ugly Inqui - ehm I mean Ryder right after creating in the first upcoming ingame cutscenes).
Another thing I hope will not be there: ducklips - and just them for female Ryder :/ And overbite all the time is weird as well. Don't know anyone who looks like that in RL.
Last but not least: let's have more variety - in eyes, eyebrows, hair, mouths, noses, ears, features like freckles, tatoos & scars & eyeliner/eyeshadow. They help to create more polished and well rounded character designs.
Edit: Still hoping for facecode system or another way to save your character in the creation menu.

And I think by what has been shown that we'll have better casual clothes than DAI at least Oh, man! The biggest problem for me in DAI wasn't fetch quests or empty open world (I actually enjoyed DAI). It was the bland beige pajamas that my Dalish Elf had to wear all around Skyhold! Why not give us some amount of customization in our casual outfit? At least change the color?? I searched online for any way to change the outfit, but no luck (XBone, so no modding). I'm glad that we will have multiple casual outfits in MEA.

ALL EA games should just politely borrow The Sims 4 APB character creation and we are all happy. It is even gender inclusive. Fixed for you. The best character creation was made 6 years ago, and will likely never ever be surpassed. In DA:I I couldn't even change hair on my Qunari. I haven't combed over every trailer frame by frame with a fine comb for hidden clues so I could totally be wrong on this, but so far nothing I've seen points to any improvements rather than being DA:Is creator with race selection locked to human. I'm bracing for disappointment on that front preemptively.

It doesn't have to be significant character morph really. Even Fallout 4 didn't let you modify height which is what caused a lot of issues in DAI given the different heights and camera angle work.
It can just be a matter of modifying the amount of body mass so that you can have a different frame. Considering we wear armor most of the time, it's not something that has significant impact to animation design. They already have to account for the different armor types. Half an inch here and there is minimal. It can even be a preset rather than a slider if it's easier.
That being said, I doubt they'll do it, if only because of the fact that we'll wear armor for the most part, so it's probably more trouble than it's worth.
I just hope the default frame isn't too slim.

The Sims 4 > APB and almost everything else except for Black Desert Online but it is too almighty for Bioware to mimic, and features pretty females which instantly makes Bioware avoid it like the plague

I don't think so. The default armor suit looks like it's a somewhat tight compared to other armor suits we've seen.
I don't expect Scott to be a musclebound gym rat but if he's anything like Shepard it's fine by me.

I just hope what we create in the CC translates into the cutscenes well...something that has been problematic in past games. I would love a "show in cutscenes" button (a little montage of lesser important in-game cutscenes) in which we can confirm the look we spend hours creating is visually satisfying. YES! Would spend ten minutes on my qunari's face and have her look horrific outside the character creator. In DAI that dlc with the magic mirror was needed.

What I would like to see and what I felt was missing in DAI: Hair that doesn't look like this: Facial hair that doesn't look like this:Non-neanderthal eyebrow options for men and non-sharpie eyebrow options for women. Also: Braided facial hair. The option to not have glossy lips. The option to not have makeup. Freckles. Scars.

Sorry, but I have a little mind void: for what it stand APB? And the sims 4 have a good body customization (not as good ad Dragon's Dogma, but is one of the very few things that are good in the sims 4) sadly it have the most fake hair in the entire the sims franchise. So plastic like even Lego would find those fake.

Sorry, but I have a little mind void: for what it stand APB? APB means all points bulletin, a gta like mmo (it is a bit old already but has a very loyal fanbase). Though not technically the best mmo out there and with a very creepy ingameshop system and hordes of hackers and cheaters it is one of the most popular examples if it comes to character customization. You can play as police officer or gangster and you lvl to unlock clothing and designs and stuff. You could design the looks of your clothings & cars complete for yourself (creating writings, logos, color combos, forms, tatoos etc.). Later to the degree that you can design something in photoshop on your pc and upload it as ingame design into the game. Other players could use it as well if you let them buy it via ingame auction house for ingame currency. Here is an example for apb character customizations:

I can see the scars and tattoos returning, since they have them in DAI (even though it's just face tattoos). It'd be cool to be able to put tattoos on the rest of the body as well, at least torso and arms. Different body types I don't think so, even presets (tho it'd be really cool). I don't think long hair is going to happen, unless always pinned up, but I hope there's at least a good variety of cool hair. If Morrigan and Josephine can have them, why can't we? And I think by what has been shown that we'll have better casual clothes than DAI at least True I think shoulder length is possible like for example Miranda and Ashley have or what Hawke can have in DA2 but I doubt they'll go any further than that I agree about the hair length. Shoulder length is probably considered "long" in most video games. I'd be happy with that, but I want to see different styles for it.

Shoulder length is probably considered "long" in most video games. I'd be happy with that, but I want to see different styles for it. well DA2 has 2/3 different Shoulder length styles in the CC for Hawke so it can be done. It's just a question of will it be done? Hopefully the answer to that is yes but as I've said before only time will tell. I think we'd only need 2 or 3 options anyway we wouldn't need to fill the whole CC with them but as long as there are 2/3 to choose from I'd be happy as it gives us at least some options to work with. As lon gas the options aer as good as what we had in DA2 I think that would be enough DA2 might not have got many things right but for me this was one area it actually did well at in my opinion. Either way I'[m looking forward to seeing what kind of styles we get to pick from for Sara as I kinow that my first femryder will likely use one of the longer hairstyles

It's not just Sara that I want the long hair for. Scott should have a few longer options as well. We aren't technically military this time around, are we? It would be good to have some variety.

True but for me it's just a preference but I prefer my guys to have shorter hair but my girls have longer ones it just depends on the situation. So in Scott's case I'm not too worried if they'er short whereas on females I don't find short hair as attractive. I'm not saying it can't be it's just a personal preference.

Another thing I hope will not be there: ducklips - and just them for female Ryder :/ And overbite all the time is weird as well. Don't know anyone who looks like that in RL. Sorry, can't resist commenting on this: As someone who does look like that IRL (severe overbite - my "normal" closed mouth looks like a thinner version of this Inquisitor mouth. I have to forcefully and unnaturally stretch my upper lip to fully cover my two front teeth), I was thrilled to have the option to actually make someone who looks remotely like me. I don't generally make myself, but the ability to do so for pretty much the first time ever was pretty satisfying. We uber overbiters definitely exist! And I for one like the quirky facial feature options, whether they're like what I have or not... gives the option to give more... character, as it were. Though I would want such things for both male and female Ryder equally. As for what what I'd like to see in Andromeda customization: - Better/actual options with an epicanthic eyelid fold
- More varied facial hair options - from short stubble to small beards to full beards.
- For that matter, beards that don't look like taped on fakes.
- More dynamic ranges for female head/face shapes and nose shapes. I find a lot of the time when I try to make BioWare female characters they tend to look every "sameish" compared to my males, due to a narrower range of cheekbone variance, jawlines and noses. Inquisition was better about this, so here's hoping the trend continues into Andromeda.
- Better hairstyles - both variety and quality of detail. It's not been BioWare's strong point, but I'll always hope nonetheless.
- As others have mentioned, more dynamic body shapes but I don't realistically think we'll get that.

And I for one like the quirky facial feature options, whether they're like what I have or not... gives the option to give more... character, as it were. Though I would want such things for both male and female Ryder equally. Hi, sorry I didn't mean to offend you with the overbite thing. I think I used wrong wording here. Sometimes it is a bit difficult for me to word things the right way in english because it isn't my native language. And I tend to be very direct and straight forward with words, sometimes to a degree that people think I mock them though that isn't my intention. So I'm sorry again in that regard. So I try to explain myself better now (at least I hope). It was just weird for me in DA:I that all mouths were like that and even if you tried to adjust that it was always like the upper lip was a lot more stretched over everything else in the face. I'm a very openminded person and not really of the superficial kind. I like people with distinctive facial features and I'm all for quirky things - but not just them. I like variety and I like character creators where you have variety and a lot of possibilities to try out. Bioware has its own style, I like that but I think the creators so far were always limiting or the sliders were a bit off with the coordinate system. A nice addition, but a bit more variety would be helpful. And for my experience maybe I lack a bit in that regard. I learn everyday about people. I'm thankful for that and for your insight. It was just weird because me, who don't have overbite, had to struggle with the creator to get a face that represent my features a bit. For me it was really difficult because the variety was, like you said, more of the quirky kind. Maybe I just suck at managing the mechanics in the creators so far. But I have ordinary face structure and most people in my surroundings just don't represent the things you can chose in the CC as well , so I don't know. It was really difficult to find something -again, for me- that I liked. Though I already know it is difficult in any way to create a good self of myself (especially because I have lots of curls (and a weird nose) and that is a feature which is really rare in character creators).

See, my problems with the CC in Bioware games is that my male characters always come out looking awful. I pick one of the default looks and tweak it slightly or go with the main look for them. My female characters always look great though. It's weird. I can make a woman's face that's anything from quirky cute to classic beauty to dramatically striking, and it always comes out great, but have me make a man and you'd think I've never seen a person before. yeah I've got to admit my females turn out better than my males too generally
