Character Creator & Character Customization (Official Thread)

Not sure If I'm going to do male or female Ryder yet, If male I'll do a dude with long hair and a beard, if female dark skinned red head because why not? Don't want to make a character that looks like me because that's boring.

I dunno. I'll try making it look like me or experiment a little. I'll be playing as Scott first, but I dunno what to do about Sara's design yet.

I always base my character off myself. You know, living vicariously through Mass Effect and all that.

Black, shaved head, goatee.......like me

I always use the default faces since i think they look better then most custom Shepards and Hawkes i see but if the game gives me a option to customize the default face like in DAI i just give quis a shaved head and some tattoos.

I know most people love to customize there character but its never been a big deal to me.

1. Alpha based shep van der loo
2. Young grizzly Adams

Both white, hair usually brown, eyes grey or blue.

I always get into character creation. Its one of my favorite aspects of gaming.  

For name choosing I also have a few favorites that I reuse depending on the type of character! Or I delve into my favorite source material, namely Dragonlance! I grew up reading Tracy Hickman & Margaret Weis & I really love a lot of the names used throughout the series. I usually open my copy of Dragonlance Adventures & slowly flip through looking for anything that takes my fancy. For the Baldur's Gate series & DAO thru to DAI I really liked & used Silvanesti & Qualinesti a lot. I actually used Silvanesti for my FFXI character as well. (a game which I have been periodically returning to for years lol) 

For the ME series though I strayed from DL for names, as it has a different vibe. 
For MEA I think my first character is going to be named Shepard lol, just because I really fell in love with the character throughout the trilogy. However if anyone can suggest any cool source/reading material to pull names from I'd love to know. Specifically something with a spacey sci-fi techy feel lol.

For my New Game Plus male play through, I'm going to name him:

"Great Scott" Ryder

They are, but you can still customize them.
