Well, his voice is definitely a lot more modified and villain-y than an average turian's, but I suppose it sort of makes sense given his implants etc.
One thing I never got from this scene (and many others in ME) is... where were Nihlus' shields? One shot from a Carnifex shouldn't have killed him, it should have started a fight. Not a big deal, just a big odd.

Probably too close since Saren could get within the scope of barrier from the slower movement, thus allowing for point blank shots to bypass shields entirely.
