Marksman Rank 4 (Accuracy or Fire rate)

I'm reporting back in on this, BSN. I did some testing on RoF vs. Accuracy. While using Hurricane X Turian Soldier with AP IV, SMG III, CM IV, Armored Compartments V, Reegar sidearm and the RoF evo I extracted successfully from a bronze pug (team mates were all reegar AIUs), whereas using the same loadout and equipment on bronze with the accuracy evo I ran out of medigel and wiped ten seconds before extraction (same team mates).

Out of all of the funny shit I've read on the forums, this ranks right up there as one of, if not, the funniest thing evah.

I didn't realize there were so many that took accuracy at 4.

I always took ROF. One of the reason's was already outlined in the thread (shotgun pellet spread with accuracy past 100%).

The other things to consider:

There are more weapons that have perfect accuracy (and would gain 0 dps from more accuracy) than have rate of fires so high that they glitch from more ROF (thus lowering DPS with ROF boost).

Also in most engagements your shots on target are not so poor that "15%" more accuracy would be better than 15% more shots fired in the first place. With essentially unlimited ammo in MP that would be a wash. But in reality the 15% accuracy is probably not increasing hits on target by that proportion.

As this is a cooperative game and all about having fun with other guys (not literally, mind you!) - apart from doing pointless things like putting AP Ammo on Adas and such, I personally wouldn't cuss you out for using slam on lift grenades. If a specific character build makes more sense to you than another and you're having more fun that way - then go for it!
