Sad. Been too busy to play. Out of town and have time but left my mouse at home. Could probably play some ME1 on mouse pad (did it before but don't like it). Missing this.

So, Wrex is not recruited/dead and Liara not recruited yet. But how do you not have either Ashley or Kaidan?
Ah, nevermind....they just aren't selected.

Ah, nevermind....they just aren't selected. Wrex is dead, Liara wasn't recruited yet, Kaidan is with Kirrahe and Ashley is arming the bomb. I've forgot how cowardly Liara behave when you left her to be recrutied by last. LOL

From yesterday, Ahmed Shepard: 1. Blasted through the Omega-4 Relay. The Normandy came out the other side okay, but was soon attacked by some Occuli (plural of Occulus, I hope). An Occulus got in a solid hit on the Normandy, killing Jack.
2. One of the Occulus managed to board the ship, so Ahmed took a team to deal with it before it could deal any further damage. Joker was forced to try to shake the other Occuli off of the Normandy by flying through a debris field. The Normandy scraped some debris, and the drive core overloaded trying to compensate for the shield loss, killing Kasumi. Ahmed managed to kill the final Occulus in the cargo bay.
3. The Collectors sent out a familiar ship to destroy the Normandy. Joker flew right up to it and shot it through the giant weapon, destroying the ship. However, the resulting explosion resulted in Thane getting crushed by a beam. The Normandy then crash-landed on the Collector Base.
4. In the briefing room, Ahmed and his team formulated a plan. They would split into two teams to distract the collectors while someone navigated a ventilation system to unlock the doors at the other side. Ahmed chose Tali to walk through the vents and Garrus to lead the other team. The plan went smoothly until the very end, when Tali was unable to close the door and she got killed when Harbinger hit her with a biotic attack.
5. They found some of the missing colonists and the Normandy squad in pods, only to see one of the colonists be reduced to organic paste and pumped through some tubes. Acting fast, Ahmed and his squad freed the Normandy crew from their pods before they were taken away.
6. The next part of the route took them through a place filled with seeker swarms. Morinth suggested that she could surround a small team with a biotic bubble to protect them, while another team created a diversion elsewhere. Ahmed chose Morinth (a.k.a. "Samara") to hold the bubble while Zaeed led the second team. He also sent Mordin to escort the crew safely back to the Normandy.
7. Morinth was able to hold the bubble and get the team through the passageway alive, but Zaeed died after leading his team. At least Zaeed got his revenge on Vido Santiago before he died.
8. Ahmed took Morinth and Jacob to the final chamber while Garrus and Miranda stayed back to hold the Collectors off. In the final chamber, Ahmed discovered that the Collectors were building a Reaper that looked like a human. It was unclear why they made it look human, but Ahmed did not care. He destroyed some tubes to knock it down a large shaft.
9. As Ahmed planted the explosives, The Illusive Man called, telling Ahmed he should save the base instead by using a radiation pulse to kill the Collectors. Ahmed tolg him no, then hung up on him, planting the original explosives. Ahmed was not about to hand Cerberus the Collector Base. He had seen enough of their failed experiments to know they would just screw it all up. That and this was payback for all the lies and deception.
10. After planting the explosives, the Reaper returned to fight. It was a long battle, but eventually a shot with the Cain put it down for good. Everyone managed to survive the destruction of the platform they were on and hightailed it back to the Normandy where they escaped the explosion and went back through the relay. Garrus and Miranda managed to survive their final stand as well.
11. The Illusive Man was mad at Ahmed's decision, but he did not care. He told the Illusive Man he could get in line or stay out of his way.
Ahmed continues to wonder if he did the right thing by destroying the Collector Base, but his squad agrees with the decision -- even Miranda! -- so he finds that reassuring.

Jeph Shepard, Spacer/Sentinel/Butcher of Torfan: - Stopped by the Quarian Envoy Ship, one used for diplomatic purposes without bring people to the Migrant Fleet itself. What I learned was that, in the middle of a Reaper invasion, these idiots decided to start another war. With the geth. The geth who had proven to be superior to them in the past. Superior enough to oust them from their home world. So what happens? The geth get a signal from the Reapers that increases their abilities significantly and puts the entire Migrant Fleet at risk. The signal is coming from a geth dreadnought and I'm willing to go there to disable it. Upside here was that Tali was promoted to an admiral. Probably the only one who doesn't make emotionally charged decisions. - Boarded the dreadnought with Tali and Kaidan. Data showed the Reapers were controlling the geth. No chance of convincing them to back down. Fought our way to where the signal was being transmitted. Got a hell of a shock. - The Reapers were using Legion as the transmitter, though the geth itself hadn't willingly submitted; hence, the restraints. Legion did say the decision to ally with the Reapers had been difficult for the geth but they would never have done so if they hadn't been facing destruction. Tali was pissed because she had wanted to negotiate rather than fight. They called her a geth expert but weren't willing to follow her advice. Once Legion was free, it disabled the signal, the drive core, weapons and barriers. Seemed like it would be a fight out but nothing we couldn't handle - until Admiral Gerrel decided to fire on the ship while we were on board. I get that he wanted this thing destroyed but he could have waited five minutes for us to leave. Oh, there was going to be hell to pay for this. - Gerrel tried to defend his actions. He didn't realize the him shooting on my wasn't the main issue (though I was pissed about that) but that he threw away the chance for the civilian ships to defeat. I punched him in the gut and threw him off my ship. I had a hard time believing Xen was arguing with me when she wanted me to hand over Legion. She thought she could "prove" Legion's loyalty somehow. Bullshit. She just wanted to take Legion apart. But Legion saved me ass on the derelict Reaper and again in escaping the dreadnought. That's all the proof I need. - Headed to a turian/asari fuel depot that had gone offline. We'd be out of the war in this area with no fuel so it had to be reactivated. Another N7 and a squad she led were on site but not getting anywhere. James, Kaidan and I set out to find out the situation. We got the reactors activated and repaired some seals but Riley was getting overrun. I sent Kaidan to help out but was a little on edge when we lost communications. When I got to the rendezvous point, Kaidan, Riley and her team were all there. Mission successful. - Wanted to stop by the Citadel and decided to see why Hackett so badly wanted me to meet with some scientist named Dr. Bryson. Before he could tell me much, his assistant Hadley murdered him. He spoke some strange words, almost like not himself. When we started the interrogation, he seemed very confused. Not exactly like indoctrination, where you start to believe differently, like you're stabbing allies in the back to save them from Reapers (TIM). This was more like mind control. He started telling us about Leviathan but then he said some more weird things and collapsed, almost like his mind had been shut down. Video logs between Bryson and Hackett said that the batarians had found a dead Reaper 20 year ago and "Leviathan" was what had done it. It was a Reaper-killer. Reapers were also shadowing Bryson's team, suggesting they were on to something.

Ahmed Shepard (from Monday): 1. Took the Normandy into Batarian space, then took the shuttle to the Batarian prison where Dr. Kenson was being held. Ahmed managed to sneak in without anyone seeing him, but they sounded the alarm after he found Kenson. (They were looking in the interrogation room when he walked in and knocked out one of the guards.)
2. Ahmed protected Dr. Kenson while she hacked their computers to find them a way out. They took an elevator up a floor, and after killing all the Batarians the encountered, they stole one of their shuttles.
3. In the shuttle, Dr. Kenson explained that they had discovered a Reaper artifact that seemed to show them the Reapers would be arriving into the system shortly. A Mass Relay they called the Alpha Relay was connected to all the other prime relays in the system. Dr. Kenson's team planned to slam an asteroid into the relay to prevent the Reapers from using it, hopefully delaying them long enough to find a way to stop the Reapers.
4. Dr. Kenson took Ahmed to the asteroid they were planning to use (also their base of operations). Once there, Ahmed noticed a timer. Kenson explained it was a countdown clock based on signals emanating from the Reaper artifact. The timer showed they had only two days left before the Reapers arrived and used the Alpha Relay.
5. Then Kenson showed Ahmed the artifact. He was concerned that it was unshielded and in the open. It then gave him a vision of the Reapers arriving. The vision physically weakened Ahmed, but the Kenson pulled out a gun and vowed to not let Shepard start the project. Ahmed disarmed her when she was distracted, but project personnel started pouring into the room in waves. Ahmed bunkered down and tried to survive but was downed when a Pyro got too close. Lucky for him, Kenson wanted him alive. It almost looked like her eyes were glowing?
6. Ahmed woke up on an table in a medical lab. He regained enough of his faculties to subdue two guards before the third guard sealed him in the room with kinetic barriers. Unfortunately for the guard, the room contained controls for security mechs, which he used to kill the guard, some other mechs, and then unlocked the door by destroying the security's power source.
7. Data pads in the lab indicated they had kept him sedated for almost two days, and they needed to keep upping the dosage to keep him sedated. Maybe it was the Cerberus implants that helped him, or maybe it was the Reapers wanting him alive, but he needed to get the project activated and destroy the relay. He had about an hour and half to spare.
8. He made his way to the project controls, killing all project personnel along the way. Unlike the room with the artifact, he was no longer surrounded by project personnel and he found it easier to control the battlefield as he assaulted his way through the base. Data pads indicated that the project personnel had been becoming indoctrinated the longer they stayed near the artifact. Some were scared at the transformation but it was clear they were now beyond help.
9. After making it to the project control, he activated the fusion torches, accelerating the asteroid towards the relay. He tried warning the Batarians in the system --- over 300,000 of them -- but Kenson interrupted the message. She was angry and told him that she was going to put the reactor into meltdown to prevent the collision.
10. Ahmed was now pissed and desperate to stop Kenson. He needed to insert two cooling rods to prevent the meltdown. He inserted the first one, then slaughtered his way through the base to get to the second one. Kenson then said she could still override power to the engines, but Ahmed was too close to fail. He shot her, but she managed to set off a bomb that knocked Ahmed unconscious.
11. When Ahmed woke back up, he had thirty minutes to get off the asteroid before it collided with the relay. The comms in the base were down, but the project personnel were evacuating at the comm tower. Ahmed was too late to catch a shuttle (even some project personnel got left behind), but he got the comm tower operational to call the Normandy.
12. Harbinger himself then appeared by holo to inform Ahmed about his futile attempt to prevent the Reaper's arrival. Ahmed told him to stuff it, then boarded the Normandy as it swooped in just in time. The Normandy took the relay to the Sol system safely before the asteroid slammed into the relay, blowing it up and destroying the system.
13. Admiral Hackett arrived to debrief Ahmed personally. Hackett was not happy about the news of his friend Kenson, or about the Reapers arriving. He told Ahmed that the Batarians were mad and wanted justice. Hackett told Ahmed to surrender peacefully to the Alliance as a show of goof faith to the galactic community so the political ramifications with the Batarians would be easier to deal with. They did not want to go to war with the Batarians while the Reapers were coming. Ahmed agreed to turn himself in later.
Epilogue: Ahmed turned himself in to the Alliance. The Alliance impounded the Normandy. Inside the Normandy was a pod containing a tank-bred Krogan, along with an intact Geth unit. The Alliance took both in for study.
* * *
Ahmed is now ready for ME3.
(I was going to expand on the fictional epilogue but I didn't know what direction to take. Plus it is getting late.)

Jeph Shepard:
- Wanted to help Legion prevent some of the geth under the control of the Reapers. It required the equivalent of wiping out a geth "city". It also meant putting my mind inside the geth consensus, a first for organics. Though, if what Javik said is true, the Zha'til beat me to the punch with organic/VI interface. Learned that the war between them started when a geth asked "Does this unit have a soul?" The geth also allowed the quarians to retreat rather than hunt them to extinction. Once the server was down and I was out multiple geth prime appeared. Legion said the geth inside the server had transferred to the primes and joined with Legion. There were once again two factions of geth. I sent them to work on the Crucible, bringing all the vast processing power of the geth to the table. When we returned to the Normandy, Legion showed the minds of geth with the Reaper upgrades. I'm not a scientist but there's no doubt I was seeing life, or at least thinking more like that of organics.
- Landed on the mining asteroid Mahavid in search of Dr. Garneau. Reapers were present, which was consistent with Bryson saying they had been shadowing his field teams. Encountered Reaper forces outside. Assumed the miners within had to be afraid. That wasn't what I encountered. They were like automatons, following a script, unemotional. Reminded me of Hadley. They had to be indoctrinated. They claimed not to know Garneau and every last one of them said we didn't belong. Elevator logs said otherwise, showing he'd used it within the past week. When we found Garneau, he claimed that the Leviathan was a myth. That contradicted a datapad we'd found where he sent out a message about a Leviathan artifact (like one in Bryson's lab) found here. Then he started talking strange, shattered the window and ran off. When we caught up to him he was near an artifact swarmed by husks. He blew up himself and the artifact. Javik found the body of what seemed to be the real Garneau. The miners then acted like they were coming out of a trance. They had never heard of Garneau or Reapers. Also thought it was 2176. We were no closer to finding Leviathan but it knew we were on its trail.

Jack is "a crazy bitch", "unbearable", "boring", "a fuck up", "animal" and other delightful things people talk about her. But let's see. Escaped Pragia, was pick up by a freighter, "used" by the crew and then sold as a slave. I don't think I should explain what "used" means, right? And at a younger age for what it seems. Then in Purgatory she was attacked in the bathroom and was "get it on" by five guys (it would be 6, but she killed one of them). Ok, hanging around in a prison with nothing but belt stripes covering your breasts isn't the most smart move if you ask me. Something that she even recognize BTW. But none the less, more one to the bag of tricks Freud discovered in our heads. The people usually try to blame her for Pragia and while the experiments were performed for her safety, I wouldn't call it "a favor". She was forced to fight against other kids and kill them, being punished when not doing so. Even more FUCK UP - and yes, it has to be writen in capital letters - is those trying to defend Cerberus for it. It was a facility that went rogue, sure. But when the project was discovered what is the solution TIM tried? Kill everyone and erase all records. Scientists, subjects and the guards. Really? This is a "solution"? I'm not saying all of this trying to defend her or stating that you have to like her, but the funny thing is people pay more attention to the character's personalities than what they say. Take Jacob for example, another one trashed right and forth (not without reasons, I'll give you that), when he actually says why she is the way she is. "You treat people like animals, big shock, they become animals". All of this because I have a question to ask. LOL I play with EGM mod and for those who don't know, the mod have achievements too. Oh yes. You have one for supporting the Alliance during the game, another for supporting Cerberus and even one for being a true friend to the krogans troughout the series. If you didn't already guessed, the last I already have. Ok. This time I'm persuing the A Deadly Acquaintance achievement: "Do whatever it takes: show your willingness to win at all costs throughout the Mass Effect series". Mordin has to survive, it's one of the conditions. For other reasons Thane and Grunt will die at the SM, as well the entire crew minus Joker and Chakwas. Mainly because I like Chakwas dialog with Adams during the Tuchanka arc, although Dr. Michell also has a damn good one. But Chakwas medi-gel upgrade is better than the one given by Dr. Michell, that's why she will survive. LOL For entirelly different reasons Tali and Legion will also bite the dust. I was thinking in doing a "everyone dead" playthrough, but this is boring. Or a sexist run, leting only the males or females survive. Don't know about this one because since Mordin has to survive, only the males would have to. And since I'm playing as a femShep, how the hell I would import a save to ME3 if I also have to die? It would be something like this: Grab them by... or The Future is Female I could make a "human supremacist/Terra Firma all the way" run and let only the human squadmates survive. So... anyone has another idea?

brfritos: Hm, tough to say. I know some folks in the old What did you do today thread did something like male/female team only, tech/biotic only etc, but since you want to keep Mordin alive it's hard to think of anything. You could of course still play FemShep and go for an all-male team. Maybe she just hates women From last night: "Hi Alec, I'm back from the Migrant Fleet. That was truly something else. Garrus accompanied Tali and me and when we docked we learned that Tali had been accused to bring active geth to the Migrant Fleet. The truth was that she did salvage geth parts because her father had ordered her to do so for a secret project he was working on. So it looked really bad, but she swore she disabled them all before sending them, and I knew Tali would never endanger the fleet like that. She always knows what she's doing when it comes to geth. Unfortunately the members of the Admiralty Board didn't believe it and had already stripped Tali of her ship name, which meant they had basically given up on her. I met Tali's aunt (she isn't really, but Tali calls her that), Shala'Raan, and she told me that according to quarian customs, I, as Tali's new captain, would represent her during the trial. I was quite nervous as I'm never too comfortable with crowds, and being among all those quarians didn't exactly help, but I did what I could. Of course we pleaded not guilty, Tali explaining that she only sent disabled parts and pieces, but that was when the admirals dropped the bomb on Tali that her father was likely dead. He had worked on a lab ship, and they told us that geth had ceased it. No one knew what had really happened there though, so we proposed to take back their ship, the Alarei, and find out what Tali's father did there. It was also a chance to clear Tali's name in case we found any evidence. We were allowed to go, but before that we spoke to the other admirals. The trial was overshadowed by political infighting, as each admiral had different ideas on what to do with the geth and their homeworld. Han'Gerrel wanted to go to war, Zaal'Koris favoured peace, Daro'Xen wanted to retake control over the geth. Raan was undecided on what to do. Oh, and we met Veetor and Kal'Reegar again. Both were fine and I asked them to support Tali should it come to the worst. Afterwards, we boarded a shuttle and headed to the Alarei. What we found was pretty much a disaster. Tali's father and his team had brought geth online from the parts Tali sent their way and tested new weapons on them in order to prepare for retaking their homeworld. Just that everything went wrong and the team was overrun by the geth. Everyone was killed, including Tali's father. I already knew they didn't have the best relationship, far from it actually, but of course Tali was upset when we found her father's body. He wanted to do right by her and build her a house on the homeworld. I promised Tali should it ever come to it, I'd help her retake the homeworld. It was all I could really do for her in that moment. The data we found would bring out the truth about what happened on the lab ship, but Tali begged me to not say anything about what we found. Her father would be made an example, considered a traitor. I was conflicted on what to do. Presenting the evidence would've cleared Tali, but I didn't want to hurt her by ignoring her plea. So when we were back I tried to rally the crowd, reminded them what they all owe to Tali, how she helped me defeat Saren. I was so glad that Veetor and Kal'Reegar spoke up on her behalf. Their words seemed to get through to the admirals and they found Tali innocent. I have to say, while it was interesting to get this peek into quarian culture, I really don't want to ever have to do something like that again. It felt really strange. I'm just glad it's over. And Tali is allright, all things considered. I have another problem now though. Grunt is getting more aggressive and neither he nor EDI know why that is. We need to go to Tuchanka soon and try to find out what's happening with him. I really hope he can behave himself so I don't have to restrain him. Talk to you soon. -Dee" Pics again: Whew, it was really close a couple of times and damn, Garrus goes down quite often compared to other squadmates. He's so squishy I also did Anomalous Weather and got killed once. I have no idea why, but suddenly geth appeared behind me. I really don't know how they could ambush me, that never happened to me before.

Jeph Shepard:
- Down to Rannoch to rescue Admiral Koris. Don't like this guy. Tried to railroad Tali for his agenda. She was busy so I took Liara and Kaidan with me. AA guns made things difficult and they were going to have to be disabled before we could disable the jamming tower and find out where Koris was located. Have to admit that this world is beautiful. A Garden World with no signs of human construction - mountains, clear water and clean air. The Geth Spitfire I picked up seems to cause the geth to explode. Me like. A while back, aboard the Alarei, I heard a dying mother's message to a quarian boy named Jona. Now I watched his father die. This war sucked. Pointless. Could happen after the Reaper War but no. Once the AA guns were down, and the tower destroyed, we contacted Koris. He wanted to save his crew over himself since they're non-combatants. And as much as I think this guy is as ass, I also know he's the only one who can keep the Civilian Fleet from suicidally leaving the rest of the fleet. They'd be slaughtered. We succeeded and Koris later acknowledged things had gone way too far. Plus side is he might be a level head when it comes to geth relations.

brfritos : Hm, tough to say. I know some folks in the old What did you do today thread did something like male/female team only, tech/biotic only etc, but since you want to keep Mordin alive it's hard to think of anything. You could of course still play FemShep and go for an all-male team. Maybe she just hates women I don't think it will work, because this femShep will date Traynor for the white picket fences in ME3. I know what I'm gonna do to maintain at least some coherence: all humans will die and only the aliens I've never encountered before will survive. So Tali and Garrus will turn into reaper paste and Legion, Samara, Grunt, Thane along with Mordin will survive. Like James say "there goes the easy way". Crap.

Jeph Shepard: - It was time to destroy the Reaper base. Tali was not missing out on this chance to see her home world. We were going down together, painting a target for the Normandy and blowing it to hell. We'd have to fight geth to get there but that was acceptable. Got to the spot, used the targeting laser, the Normandy fired...and a Reaper rose up out of the rubble. The "base" was an actual Reaper and we didn't have Kalros on hand this time! Legion commandeered transportation and I called for a strike. - Eventually, however, I grew tired of running. The fleet knocked it off balance but didn't destroy it. We'd need a strike directly into its firing chamber, which was closed when not firing. That meant stopping and using the targeting laser to make use of the full power of the Normandy and the Migrant Fleet. Kaidan was going to hate this but we were out of options. We either took a stand or eventually got taken out. - It took more than one hit. Four, to be exact. Drew closer with every hit until it was almost on top of me, but no way was I backing down. After the last hit, it fell over. We had a little chat. The Reaper knew me and claimed it was saving us by destroying us. Made no sense. Also said we had no hope what I knew was that this was the third Reaper I'd had a direct hand in killing: Sovereign, the one on Tuchanka and now this one. We were proving they had weaknesses and were going to make damn sure every ship in the galaxy knew them. - Problem was that with the Reaper down the quarians immediately went on the offensive against the geth. Legion had the Reaper code, though, and wanted to upload it to give them that true intelligence. Legion was a prime example of what the geth could be, as were the geth prime units that were at the Crucible. I was in a tough place. Upgraded geth would destroy the attacking fleet but turning on the geth could lead to the destruction of the Crucible from those geth present. I was playing the odds, hoping I could somehow work someone out. I told Legion to upload the code. Tali tried to get Gerrel to stand down but he refused. That's when I got on the line. I told him the geth were about to return to full strength and that I would stand and watch the quarians die if he didn't stand down. I also reminded him of the ways in which I'd helped the quarians, including destroying that Reaper. That got through to him. Turned out Legion couldn't upload the code the way he did. He could only do so by disseminating his own personality. Finally, Tali answered the question that started the Morning War 300 years ago: "Yes". The question was, "Does this unit have a soul?" Honestly, they may not have thought like us but there was no doubt that the geth were moving in this direction. Reaper code fast tracked it. - After Legion was gone, Raan arrived, having crashlanded. She was unsure how the quarians would survive given the state of their fleet. Sure, it could fight battles but not support the population anymore. Then a geth prime showed up. It was fully upgraded. It offered the quarians a spot on Rannoch to settle, said it would help them rebuild, offered the geth fleet for the battle and its engineers for the Crucible. Raan accepted and offered the same to us. Win-win, as I see it. Upgraded geth, not under Reaper control and no longer fighting the quarians, seemed like it could turn out very well for all of us. They were like EDI, I suppose, and just as willing to fight Reapers as she was. - Talked to the asari councilor. She had something important to tell me. Then Hackett informed me about the state of things, including that the asari were now committed, as well as the entire salarian fleet as a thank you for saving their councilor. One other good piece of news was that my mother was serving in Hackett's fleet. Probably safer for her that way. Also, Tali said the geth were uploading to quarian suits to help repair their immune systems. Reminded me of the zha'til. I suppose so long as they didn't link minds it shouldn't go down that path but it the geth truly did want to be rejoined with their creators then there was no danger. - Had another Allers interview. Saving the geth was the big story, including discussion that they could be overtaken by Reapers. But they were working to solve that problem and, really, I didn't see it as any different than indoctrination. I made it clear they were here to help, that the bad geth were a minority, not indicative of geth in general. My time in the geth consensus seemed proof of that. Either way, we had geth allies where we hadn't before.

I imported Ahmed Shepard into ME3 today. He is now an honorary Drell Adept (Pull, Reave, Cluster grenades), the whole reason I started this playthrough. Sometimes I am stupid. Speaking of me being stupid...
I was going to start the playthrough yesterday, but then my ME:A Strike Teams reached the 200 reward limit, so I was forced to start an ME:A single player game so I could claim the rewards. That took a few hours.
But then tonight I finally imported Ahmed into ME3, survived the Reaper invasion of Earth and got off Vancouver with Kaidan and James. Ahmed was heading to the Citadel to ask the Council for help, when Hackett called and ordered him to Mars, where Dr. T'Soni had found something in the archives.
On Mars, Ahmed ran headlong into Cerberus as they were killing Alliance personnel. Ahmed killed them, then found Liara as she was running away from Cerberus. Liara explained she had found Prothean blueprints for a device that could potentially kill the Reapers. Ahmed then sent James back to the shuttle because he was killing the whole "Biotic Death Squad" vibe.
On the way to the archives, they discovered that a Cerberus mole named Dr. Eva Core was responsible for letting Cerberus into the base and sabotaging the facility to kill more Alliance personnel.
Ahmed eventually made it to the archives, just in time for the Illusive Man to call in. The Illusive Man did not want the Reapers destroyed because he wanted to control them instead. If that plan was like other Cerberus projects, then it stood a good chance to fail. Ahmed tried convincing the Illusive Man that destroying the Reapers was the better option, but the Illusive Man disagreed.
Then they discovered that Eva was downloading and erasing the Prothean data. Eva ran away and they chased after her. Eventually she made it to a Cerberus shuttle and it looked like she was going to escape, but James swooped in with a shuttle and knocked it out of the air. Then Eva emerged from the wreckage, revealing herself (itself?) as a robot, likely an artificial intelligence. It injured Kaidan, then attacked Ahmed.
Remember when I said I was stupid? Well, I forgot about how you pretty much need the Predator pistol to beat Eva? Well, I forgot about that and was using the Acolyte, so it was impossible for me to beat Eva, although I gave it my best shot. I eventually had to replay Mars again because my last save was just before the archives after I had already picked up the Vindicator but did not change my inventory. On the second try I made sure to use the Predator.
Then Ahmed went to the Citadel where Kaidan was rushed to the hospital. Ahmed spoke with Commander Bailey, and is now prepared to go speak with the Council.

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: EMS at this point: 2641. The Normandy rendezvoused at Earth with the combined galactic fleet. The plan was for the fleet to engage the Reaper forces, keeping them occupied while infiltration teams were shuttle-dropped to take out the AA cannons defending London. Knowing that her human colleagues would want an opportunity to send the Reapers packing, Melody chose Kaidan and James to accompany her. The squad landed in the middle of a battlefield, but fought their way to the nearby AA cannon, recovering heavy weapons from a downed shuttle. A single blast from an M-920 Cain was enough to demolish the cannon; a second Cain dealt handily with a nearby Banshee and her entourage. Their mission complete, the squad were extracted by shuttle, greeted by Admiral Anderson in person, and flown to the Alliance's Forward Operating Base. (Zero deaths, this was easier than I remember it being, despite the screen-shake from the AA cannon making sniping rather irritating). The situation was grave: even with the AA guns offline, only 40% of the "Hammer" ground forces had made it to the base. Krogan and turian infantry were on site, led by Wreav and Primarch Victus himself. It turned out that Palaven was in as bad a state as Earth; the krogan reinforcements had been less effective than hoped due to Wreav's failure to unite the clans under his rule. Wreav remarked that none of the women in his harem had become pregnant yet, putting it down to his intimidating presence. Melody said nothing; it seemed that her betrayal had accomplished little. With the help of a friendly communications tech, Melody said her last goodbyes to her absent colleagues via QEC Skype, heartened to see so many once-troubled souls now giving it their all in the battle; Jack, Miranda, even Zaeed. Kasumi assured her that the Crucible was ready, though the boffins still hadn't figured out what it was going to do. There was a little time to speak with the squad in person. James was angry about what the Reapers had done to his homeworld. Kaidan was honest about not expecting to survive, but realized that he had very few regrets with how his life has turned out. Garrus wryly invited Melody for drinks at a bar in heaven. Liara mind-melded with her friend: this time, not to sort out a jumble of Prothean images, but to share memories. EDI came the closest that she was able to confessing fear. Tali wanted to know whether Melody was okay, vowing to back her Captain to the end. The mission plan, such as it was, was for all allied forces to push towards the conduit beam connecting London with the Citadel; anyone who made it there was to attempt to get the Citadel arms open to allow the Crucible to dock. The Normandy squad were to take a path right down the middle of No-Man's Land. Another year, another suicide mission... Before ordering Kaidan and Liara to grab their gear to accompany her for one last time, Melody rallied her squad with the last rousing speech that she would ever deliver. Things to look at: Final build: - Disruptor Ammo: 4a (damage), 5b (headshots), 6a (damage)
- Cryo Ammo: 4b (squad), 5a (headshots), 6b (damage combo)
- Incinerate: 4b (radius), 5a (DoT), 6b (armour damage)
- Tactical Cloak: 4b (damage), 5a (recharge speed), 6b (sniper damage)
- Sabotage: 4b (backfire), 5a (explosive hack), 6b (tech vulnerability)
- Operational Mastery: 4b (reputation), 5b (capacity), 6b (sniper damage)
- Fitness: 4b (health/shields), 5b (shield recharge), 6b (health/shields)
- AP Ammo: 4a (damage), 5b (headshots), 6b (pierce)
Some quarians, because quarians: En route to the FOB, reunited with Anderson: Shame that's not a blue 'phone box. Earth could use the Doctor's help: Yes, we do. Yes, it is: BioWare should make this game: Anger: Resolve: Watch as I attempt to snipe through screen-shake, and kill the squad with the M-920 Cain:

"Hey Alec. You know, some people are not only assholes, they are scum, the worst of the worst. The ones that you'd love to beat the crap out of. Repeatedly. I just met someone like that a couple of hours ago. We traveled to the Rosetta Nebula and I helped Jacob find out about a missing ship, the Hugo Gernsback, which he mentioned to me a while ago. It was a ship his father had served on, which went missing 10 years ago and only sent out a distress call recently. The information about the call was passed on to Jacob's personal log and he wanted to see if his father was actually still alive and needed help. We found the wreckage of the ship on Aeia, and a couple of logs, as well as the beacon. There were indeed survivors, but the captain hadn't been one of them, so Jacob's father had been promoted to acting captain under these circumstances. We found out that there were some major problems. The food on the planet had toxic effects and caused neural decay. We came across a woman, one of the survivors, but she was clearly intoxicated from the local food. Then we were attacked by some men. The woman had called them hunters. We killed them and pressed on, found a camp with some more women. They said Jacob had 'his face' and were really upset. They saw his father in him and we knew he must've done something terrible. We got a data pad from one of the women which told us everything we needed to know. It was sickening. Alec, he used those women as his own harem. At the beginning, there were 5 officers left alive. They assigned the women amongst themselves, but at some point he killed the other officers within one week. He had also hoarded all the food from the Gernsback for himself, so the crew ate the toxic local food all this time. Almost 10 years! And he had either killed or exiled any of the male crew members. Those who were still alive started to fight back recently, that's why he activated the beacon to finally send the distress call. Because he was afraid he'd die. Because he's a fucking coward and a selfish prick. Because of this sick fuck we had killed the hunters. If the neural decay can been treated they could've been normal again. But now they're dead. And he even had the guts to try and justify what happened on this planet. Bloody hell, we should've just left him in his own mess, but hopefully it will be much worse for him to spend year after year in prison. I hope he rots in there for the rest of his miserable life. When we came back Jacob called the Illusive Man to see if he was the one who forwarded the information on the Gernsback, but it was actually Miranda. She said that this once mattered to Jacob and that she felt like she kept a promise. I caught something between her and Jacob and went to see if she's alright. She had looked almost sad when she talked to him. But... we didn't actually talk about it. Instead she apologised for not believing in me at first. Said she didn't think I'd be up for this mission and how she was wrong. We also talked about Cerberus, how they do all these fucked up experiments, and she tried to explain what their goal was, to create expendable shock troops. I still don't agree with what they do, but I appreciated this talk. She even admitted what Cerberus did to Jack was wrong, so that's something. I feel closer to Miranda, becoming her friend even, as she opened up about how she's struggling with her being designed to be perfect. She envies me because I achieved so much just by 'skill'. Quite funny how this all can come across. I guess she doesn't see how I was just more lucky than some other people. That I had a lot of help along the way. Friends on the Normandy who had my back no matter what. Who helped me defeat Saren, who died for this. It was never just me or my skills. And when I died, she was the one who brought me back. She shouldn't forget this. Anyway... We're currently on our way to the MSV Strontium Mule to follow up on something we found at an archeological dig site recently, a prothean artifact that had been stolen by the Blue Suns from some ExoGeni researcher. No idea what they wanted with it, but this fuck Vido Santiago was involved, so it can't be good. Wonder what we'll find there. -Dee" Pics: That moment when I thought Jacob is an enemy and sent an Incinerate his way Meeting the family. Yup, that's right. Having the talk with Miri.

Michael hung out with the kids today. First he delivered some long range cookies to Jack then took baby boy out to play with some bugs. That was supposed to be all, but then he saved some peeps on Benning, distracted some turrets on Tuchanka, got a soaked squad and watched some dancers. They didn't have much crawl space in the first two games did they? Maybe on the platforms on Omega. Must investigate sometime soon. After a good eyeful it was time to walk without a rhythm, because Michael wanted to attract the worm . Found a new gun. Phalanx. Guess it always there and I always walk past it. Weird to not shoot Mordin. At least he didn't sing. Eve didn't make it either and left me with her scary scene. Her eyes are closed at the start, then they toss the fire in and her eyes open. OH NO she's still alive! Put out the fires! Then she closes her eyes once more as the flames consume her. Those Krogans are brutal. But Wrex and Michael are now back to being buddies. Or well, they wont have the sexy shoot out later. Which is a pity. Traynor then sent Michael to bed without dinner. Better dreams is still awesome, but Spice Girls is not a fitting background track for it. Then back to the Citadel for some chips and soda while next move is planned. Some Cerberus jerks were hogging the dispenser, so they were shot on sight! But yeah, priority Citadel went well. Even had a funny moment when Michael disabled the atlas at the same time as Bailey said his “Got a ride for you” line. An atlas? You spoil me Did not shoot Kaidan but gave him no reason to trust Michael. Pointed the gun at him the whole time, had Edi in the team and tried to Renegade him down. He learned from the first playthrough that Michael would shoot him in the kidneys, so he cleverly backed down. Then in the aftermath talk, he actually wanted to go back on the Normandy. Kaidan no! Michael was super mean to you and tried to shoot you, you can get mad! Still took him with. Need Reavers to reave after all. Took Kaidan to visit some robots with Tali. And oh dear, Michael is surrounded by neeeeerds. Wrapped up the Rannoch arc quickly. Noticed a line with Legion, where Michael commented that the sniper rifle the agricultural unit used to defend itself was similar to the one Legion used. Efficient model indeed. Now Michael has both robots and suit-bots in his army. Once more back to the Citadel and at long last, he got the last romance scene with Kelly. It was sweet. So now this run is also a bit on ice, but more in a “saving it for a rainy day” because head poppin' is just sublime. And I think Back off added a few extra touches to the romance as well. So tiny bits of sweetness tempting me on. One picture for the road. It's a pity Michael's name isn't Vance. Or any name with a V I guess. Since he made a fancy letter via chunky Cerberus goon.

"Hi Alec, been a while. We followed up on the Blue Suns activity and everything led to something else. First, my team and I boarded the MSV Strontium Mule, like we had planned. The freighter had been captured by the Blue Suns, the crew and their captain were killed. We found the bodies. I won't forget this image for some time. You'd think I'm used to seeing dead people by now. The freighter had responded to a distress signal, but it was a trap laid by the Blue Suns and they were attacked. We arrived just in time to prevent them from looting the ship. We retrieved the cargo and traveled to Sigurd's Cradle to end the distress signal originating from a Blue Suns base on the planet Sanctum. The signal was designed to lure in merchant freighters so the Suns could raid them, the same fate the Strontium Mule had met. We were successful, killed all the mercs inside the base and disabled the distress beacon. No freighter will fall for this trap anymore. This was all Vido's doing. Seeing this and being able to help prevent future deaths of merchants I'm somewhat glad we stopped this fuck on Zorya. I know someone else could just step in as the Suns leader, and chances are someone already did. And they will continue to do this to innocent people, but I feel a little better about going after Vido now. At least we crippled the Blue Suns. When we had left the system EDI forwarded a message to me that one of our colonies is under attack by batarians in the nearby Skepsis System. They had launched two missiles at the colony, targeting the industrial area and the residential area. When we arrived we only had a couple of minutes to deal with this. We managed, but only one missile could be stopped. Letting the industrial area get destroyed meant that the colony wouldn't be able to sustain itself and had to be evacuated afterwards, but this was a price I gladly paid. At least I saved those civilians. I can't help but wonder if this was Balak's doing again. Even if it wasn't I wish I would've stopped him back then. Damn. Oh, right. I also received an e-mail from one of the survivors on Aeia. The neural decay could be treated and she is already better. She still has trouble reading, but she wrote this e-mail herself. I'm happy we saved those that were still alive and that they receive treatment now. I also had a chat with Thane and he wants my help with his son, Kolyat. Seems he is following in his father's footsteps and took an assassination job on the Citadel. Thane wants to do everything he can to stop from Kolyat from going down this path, so now we're heading there. I hope we're not too late. Talk soon, Dee" I'm stupid. I think I forgot the Heavy Skin Weave upgrade on the freighter... Unbelievable, but now it's too late as I only noticed after finishing the other side missions Been a long time since I did the Blue Suns base and the missiles mission, simply because I hate the 2 YMIRs and this 5 minutes countdown. I got through with no problems this time though, even if Kasumi was reluctant sometimes to do her Shadow Strike. I hope I can do both Thane's and Garrus's LM later today. I'm already itching to get back into ME3. This always happens when I'm more than halfway through with ME2 (it's also the same when playing ME1 and I look forward to get into ME2. This damn vicious cycle ).

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity (mostly): Melody and her biotic boom squad crossed No Man's Land, fighting their way towards the Conduit through fierce resistance from Reaper ground troops. A Reaper destroyer was guarding the Conduit, requiring the squad to defend a Thanix missile battery while EDI computed a firing solution. The fighting was intense, but the squad prevailed, and Melody added another notch to her tally of destroyed Reapers. (Zero deaths, though it got really dicey at the very end when I facetanked Banshee warps while legging it to the missile truck). Unfortunately, Harbinger took up position behind the Conduit, requiring the squad to make a desperate dash while avoiding its Wave Motion Gun. Kaidan and Liara were injured when a Mako fell on them; Melody saw them extracted safely to the Normandy before resuming her run. A direct hit from Harbinger would have killed her if not for her Lazarus augmentation; a lone Marauder put up some half-hearted resistance, but she shot it in the face and made it aboard the Citadel, badly wounded but still moving. (Kicked the difficulty down to Narrative just for Marauder Shields; doing that bit on Insanity once was quite enough ) Melody found Admiral Anderson in the Citadel control room, unable to open the Citadel's arms due to interference from the Indoctrinated Man, whose Reaper augmentations permitted him to manipulate dark energy and physically control others. To demonstrate his power, he forced Melody to shoot Anderson, mortally wounding him. His ranting about controlling the Reapers became less and less rational as Melody needled him; his momentary loss of control over Melody was all the time she needed to shoot her erstwhile benefactor. With the Citadel arms open, all seemed lost when the docked Crucible failed to do anything. Faint from blood loss, Melody collapsed next to Anderson's body and waited for death; perhaps the next cycle would succeed where she had failed. A synthetic voice brought her to her senses. Using an avatar resembling the boy whom she saw die in Vancouver, and who had haunted her dreams ever since, the Catalyst AI revealed itself. It confirmed the Leviathans' story about the purpose of the Reapers and itself, and stated that the cycles were now at an end: the Crucible and Shepard had changed the parameters of its mission. Melody listened as the AI explained that the Crucible could release vast amounts of energy into the galaxy via the relay network, which could accomplish one of three things: destroying the Reapers and all traces of synthetic life influenced by them; removing the distinction between organic and synthetic life, rendering the conflict moot; or taking control of the Reapers, replacing the Catalyst with Melody's own consciousness, at the cost of her corporeal existence. She considered the options; too big a decision for one person to make, yet here she was. Destroying the Reapers would complete the mission, but the collateral damage would be too great. EDI had already expressed a willingness to die in the name of freedom; but the geth would have to die too. Having caused one genocide by killing the rachni queen, and been a willing accomplice in the genophage betrayal that might doom the krogan, Melody had no desire for her final act to be yet another genocide. The Catalyst stated that organic-synthetic synthesis was inevitable, but could not be forced. Melody had heard enough of inevitability; the Reapers had stated that the harvest was inevitable; the Leviathans had said the same about organic-synthetic conflict. But didn't the peace between the quarians and geth, unprecedented in galactic history, prove that such conflict was not inevitable? And as for force: the merits of synthesis notwithstanding, would Melody not be forcing it upon the people of the galaxy? (My attempt to keep the EMS too low to unlock Synthesis was a complete failure, then ) So, as she took hold of the control console, Melody allowed herself a brief smile at the irony of it all. Her former ally and benefactor, despite how far he had fallen and how evil his motivations may have been, had ultimately arrived at the correct conclusion. Project Lazarus would fulfil his mission in a way that even his vision had never considered. And so the survivor of Mindoir; of Akuze; of the Sovereign crisis; and of the Omega-4 suicide mission survived once again. Transcending the limits of organic existence, Melody Shepard survived physical death and ascended into eternity. The energy pulse ripped through the mass relay network, damaging each relay in turn. Every Reaper that it touched immediately disengaged from combat and retreated, stopping only to repair the relays before retreating to dark space. Every husk that it touched broke off from the ground war and fled. The galaxy's new goddess vowed never to forget the struggles fought and sacrifices made in the name of freedom. She resolved to be a strong leader, using her army of Reapers to defend the people of the galaxy and destroy all who would see them harmed. From her transcendent vantage point, everywhere and nowhere, she saw them all. She saw the krogan return from fighting to their devastated homeworld, wondering why the genophage still cursed them. She saw the quarians and geth, Creators and Creation, living side-by-side on their shared homeworld. She saw the people of Earth rebuilding their war-ravaged planet. And, on a solitary frigate making repairs on a backwater jungle planet, she saw the people whom she had left behind holding a simple memorial service in her honour. "If I should leave this lonely world behind, your voice will still remember our melody..."Things to look at: Ready for the final push: Saving Kaidan from a Banshee grab: They looked better with their blood on the inside: Sealing the Indoctrinated Man's fate: This meme never gets old: Transcendent: Benevolent goddess... ...but don't mess with her, or she'll remodel London's skyline: If you can walk away, it's a good landing: Memorial service: A bit of combat from the No Man's Land sequence, followed by the complete missile battery defence sequence: And so ends Melody Shepard's story. I hope you've enjoyed the writeups and the pictures I started this playthrough in late February. Although I had three more playthroughs planned, realistically I don't think I can do them at the pace I play. If I were to attempt them, I'd be here until 2020! I'm certainly not up for starting another right now; I enjoy playing, but I'm nevertheless kinda burned out. Perhaps I will start another one around N7 day...

Is Marauder Shields really more difficult to take out on Insanity? It never seemed that way to me. The slo mo for Shepard makes it a pain in the ass regardless of difficulty level. Maybe it's just that I'm such a bad shot that it always takes me several to kill him?

Not even giving him a chance on the ones between. He and the three musketeers need more shots. Think the trio needs two head shots each and he needs like 6-7 head shots and probably more if you are aiming at the torso, while he only needs around 3 on narrative. His stun period is also shorter and I think there is a higher miss penalty. If you miss like two shots, he kills you. Which is just great news, especially if you've got the shakes.

Over half an hour of do-overs on Insanity, but first attempt on Narrative (which also removes the blasted husks that were responsible for half my deaths on Insanity). (If it had taken more than one attempt on Narrative, I'd never have lived it down )

Ahmed Shepard: 1. Met with the Citadel Council, but they refused to help Earth until they could secure their own borders. Luckily for Ahmed, the Turian councillor - who seems much more agreeable than the last Turian councillor -- told him how he could get help. The council races were preparing a war summit. Ahmed's job: rescue the Turian Primarch from Palaven and get him to the summit. A grateful Primarch would be a good ally and would help reclaim Earth from the Reapers.
2. Back on the Normandy, Ahmed tried to get some much-needed rest, but he had a bad dream and so he did not get much rest. Then it was time to walk around the Normandy and meet some of the crew. He ended up getting into a little sparring match with James, but being cooped up for a few months left him rusty and James got in a few hits.
3. Ahmed toured the galaxy, looking for resources.
4. Ahmed landed on Manae (Palaven's largest moon) to look for the Primarch. It was a mess. The Reapers were there in force and the Turians were getting anhiliated. More bad news: the Primarch had been killed. With som many Turians dying, it was difficult to know who the next Primarch was going to be and the communications were also down.
5. Ahmed fixed the communications tower, and after contacting Turian command it was determined that the next Primarch was General Adrien Victus. Garrus then showed up and offered to help. Then Joker called and said the Normandy was experiencing trouble, so Liara went back to check it out. With Garrus' help, Ahmed and James rescued Victus from Reaper forces. Victus was thankful and a little overwhelmed at the thought of being the next Primarch. Then Victus stated they needed the Krogan to help: if the Krogan could take the heat off Palaven, it would allow the Turian forces to help elsewhere.
6. Ahmed explored more of the galaxy, looking for more resources.
7. Then it was back to the Citadel. Ahmed managed to help Aria out with some merc groups and helped a Salarian Spectre track down an indoctrinated Hanar operative. Unfortunately, the Hanar uploaded a virus offworld to the Hanar's automated defenses before they could stop him. Ahmed met with Kaidan as he recovered. Udina had offered Kaidan a Spectre position and Kaidan was considering the offer.
8. Back on the Normandy, Specialst Traynor told Ahmed about a distress call from Grissom Academy that she thought was a fake. Ahmed checked it out and sure enough: Cerberus was there. Inside they found Cerberus abducting students. Ahmed and his squad managed to rescue most of the survivors, including David Archer.
9. Ahmed went back to Citadel to talk with Aria again. This time she outlined her plan to retake Omega from Cerberus and asked for Ahmed's help. Ahmed agreed since a Cerberus-controlled Omega meant trouble for the galaxy.
10. Then Ahmed met with Dr. Garret Bryson, a researcher on Omega. Bryson claimed he was searching for unexplained creature sightings as a way to stop the Reapers. But before he could tell more, he was killed by his assistant. When interrogating his assistant, the assistant claimed to have no knowledge of killing Dr. Bryson, and then he started babbling nonsense before he went into some kind of coma. After searching the office, Ahmed discovered the location of their best lead: a Dr. Garneau who claimed to have found something.
11. Ahmed met with Kaidan -- now a Spectre -- before he left the hospital. Ahmed congratulated Kaidan on the new position, but quietly he felt that Kaidan was undeserving of the Spectre title.
12. More exploring in the galaxy.
13. Ahmed and his team raided a Cerberus Lab after a tip from Admiral Hackett. The lab was studying Reaper tech. They managed to grab some samples then get out before the seemingly endless supply of Cerberus troops overwhelmed them.
14. Ahmed returned to the Citadel and delivered some packages to people.

"Hey there, Alec. I'm done with helping both Thane and Garrus on the Citadel. Captain Bailey helped us out a lot. I owe him for that. He knew about a drell that was recently seen talking to a young criminal called Mouse. Surprisingly, Mouse and Thane knew each other from when Mouse was still a kid. Thane always used kids to be his ears and his eyes on jobs. Not too keen on hearing that as I find it really dangerous, but it seems nothing bad ever happened. Thanks to Mouse we found out who had hired Kolyat for the hit, a guy named Elias Kelham. He and Bailey have a 'special agreement' to keep the peace on the Citadel, but Bailey kindly brought this guy in for us so Thane and I could question him. He eventually spilled that his target was a turian politician, Joram Talid. Once we knew where to go, it all happened very quick. Thane would stay in the shadows while I followed Talid on the maintenance catwalks and updated Thane on the situation. I soon spotted Kolyat, ready to shoot, but I yelled at him and he was distracted, giving Talid a chance to flee. But Kolyat caught up to him and already had the gun to his head when we arrived. Still, I was able to disarm Kolyat and Talid was safe. Thane and Kolyat had a lot to discuss. Thane was never really there for his son, but I hope this is a fresh beginning for those two. With the time they have left anyway... Bailey provided them with a room and they were in there really long, so fingers crossed they started working out their issues. Then Kasumi and I helped Garrus. A while ago he told me about a turian named Sidonis, a member of his team back on Omega who had betrayed him. Garrus's squad had been killed as a result of this, so now Garrus wanted payback. I wasn't too happy that Garrus was willing to go this far, but I decided to help him nonetheless, get a clear picture of the situation. Our goal was to find someone called Fade, who had made Sidonis disappear. Bailey had pointed us to a nearby warehouse earlier and we talked with a volus there. Initially we thought he was Fade, but it was actually the scumbag I've met before, back when we were still investigating Saren on the Citadel. Former C-Sec officer Harkin, drunken asshole and now in bed with the Blue Suns to protect him. But all his defenses didn't quite work out for him. We chased after him through a factory district and eventually had him cornered. Garrus wasn't too kind when he questioned Harkin. Not that I don't think Harkin deserved it, he's an ass. But I didn't like how Garrus tried to get what he wanted. Harkin soon gave up Sidonis though and arranged a meeting in a well-crowded place on the Citadel. Garrus wanted me to keep Sidonis busy so he could line up a shot from the distance. I tried to talk him out of it, but he said his mind was already made up. So I did my best to keep Sidonis from harm. I didn't do it for Sidonis, but for Garrus. He was in a really bad place, and I know the feeling of wanting revenge. I only felt gradually better after walking away from these thoughts, and I hoped it would be the same for Garrus. No doubt it would be hard to forgive someone like that, but it turned out that Sidonis had been threatened to be killed himself if he didn't help take down Garrus's men. And he was living with this choice every day. Nightmares, guilt. I tried to convince Garrus that Sidonis is suffering enough for what he had done, and he actually let him go. I'm really proud of Garrus. He did the right thing and I'm just glad I could help my friend get over this. Well, eventually get over this. I wanted to give both Garrus and Thane time to process what happened today. I don't think there's a need to talk this through today. I'm also pretty exhausted. After we had sorted out the mess with Sidonis, Kasumi stumbled over a ramen shop and we had some for dinner. I never had them before and they were really good. I bought more fish as well and a goddamn hamster. I almost feel like in a frigging zoo. But this chap was so tiny and cute. I call him Huey. Then I got drunk. It was definitely more happy drunk this time, but this guy gave me something I never heard of before. Rinkle or Ryncol or how it was called. My mind gets fuzzy, but it was a krogan drink. It was the strongest shit I ever tried and I threw up in the toilet of the club. It was pathetic. My head is still spinning and I definitely need some hours of sleep right now. So goodnight, and until next time. -Dee" Pics: Only Grunt's and Mordin's LM left, then it's time to get that IFF and Legion! Yay
