Another light night for playing - only did the IFF mission. Had all kinds of trouble since Charge was incredibly buggy. I would Charge, then get stuck in place, unable to move or even turn. So that annoyance led to several deaths and reloads. Also, Samara and Garrus weren't a good backup combo. I usually bring one of Grunt, Jacob, or Zaeed for extra fire explosions (especially helpful when the husks have armor) but for whatever reason didn't this time, so made it that much harder on myself. Finally made it though, then talked to Legion enough to get his mission for Heretic Station and headed there for next session.
Think I will skip LotSB this time. This Shepard barely knows Liara from a hole in the ground, despite the auto dialogue making them out to be buddy-buddy with each other. So, after the SM I'll explore the rest of the remaining clusters, visit the Normandy crash site, then finish with Arrival. I'm sure I have enough side missions left over from places I haven't gone to yet to get all of Legion's dialogue on the ship.

Okay learned ME3 people I am trying to figure out where I am with Miranda's arc in ME3. I realised yesterday that I had stuffed up Priority Rannoch (forgot the Communications Hub) and had to go back to an earlier save. It was a bad time to stuff up because I had rushed around frantically doing lots of little things on The Citadel and so my memory of what I had and hadn't done was a bit scrambled. Anyway, I know I had had the final chat with Miranda on The Presidium Commons where she again confesses she wanted to insert a control chip into you. So I went back there but the door was inactive, so I had either done it or gone back to a save before I had got the message to do it as there is nothing in the journal. Went back to The Spectres Terminal that you can talk to Miranda on and the message was available. This surprised me as I was pretty sure I hadn't gone back that far. Has anyone been able to get the Miranda message at the spectre terminal more than once? I am really hoping I haven't somehow stuffed that arc up and having had the conversation that I'll get a message soon to see her the third time and that all is ok. OK so got the message from Miranda for the third trip, so must have gone back further than I thought. Just hope I haven't played enough since to miss the meeting as I forgot - ooops

As long as you meet her in the apt before going to Horizon, you should be fine (I'm assuming you want to keep her alive?)
fyi...you can meet her in the apt before getting the email from her. I thought it was a bug preventing the email from coming in, but it turns out her icon shows up on the Citadel map well before the trigger time for the email to arrive. I waited long enough last time I played and I finally got the email. Not sure why the two events aren't on the same timer - it's almost like they have it set up backwards.

MegaIllusiveMan : Sorry, it's hard to comment on select pictures. It's easier to tag you. I do think Wrex gives the most detail of his past of any of the non-human squadmates. Going into what he does in ME2 makes sense. Wrex was something of a thinker who wanted better for his people. As Bakara later says, "he's a mutant" in that regard. For the geth, yes, what Tali talks about is the very reason the quarians tried to destroy them. It wasn't because they were AI. They sort of always knew they were. Instead, it was because they were asking questions about their existence, questions typically only asked by living beings of themselves. This was a step beyond AI. A step the only other AI we saw (EDI) also made. This was the difference between standard AI and these synthetic beings who questioned their place in the universe. It's why I like the geth, even though my Shepard's don't like them at all until meeting Legion. Tali has always know, on some level, that the quarians were wrong. She definitely knew it in ME2. It's no worries! You can tag me anytime And yeah, I feel the same about Wrex, that's why I like him so much. He isn't a walking Codex, like Tali, Liara or Garrus are (See, he shows that he doesn't agree with some of things his race does). And you can also see that he cares about the Krogan (pointing this out because it's the most obvious) after learning that Saren had that genophage lab on Virmire. Even if he left his people, disagreed with some things, like the stupidity of battle when everything on your homeworld is doomed, he still cares about his people. And about Tali, yeah. I'm actually suprised I didn't put my mind into this conversation before now, since this is a major topic discussed when meeting Legion in ME2 and then later, solving the conflict on Rannoch.

I have my favorite broshep and femshep in ME3. Running Engineer on both. Broshep is romancing Ash, and femshep is romancing no one. I finished Omega with the femshep and finished Mars with the broshep. A little bummed Ash will get side lined for a decent part of the game. But I decided to give these two a break for now. I actually went back to ME2 tp play another broshep that I have. But this time as Soldier. I have heard so many negative things about soldier, but honestly, this class is super fun. I heard so many people say its boring or things like, why play as just some guy that can shoot stuff when you can move stuff with your mind. But I don't get the hate? Soldier has awesome powers, his DPS is insane, and he can blow through things so easily. I love the Mattock and Geth Plasma Shotgun on the soldier. This is probably the easiest insanity I have played next to Sentinel. I just got Tali and I plan to romance her on this run. I also discovered that if you save the conversation with Ken and Gaby about playing cards, they actually invite Tali along and they have a special line after the game. I'm amazed I am still discovering new things like this quite frequently. So much amazing attention to detail in this series. Yah! I try Soldier on all my insanity runs, because it can basically counter everything without relying that much on squadmates. Swarmed by Husks? Area Concussive Shot. Have a Scion? Incendiary Ammo. Enemy with shields/Mechs? Disruptor Ammo. Headshot something? Adrenaline Rush. Plus, you get the Revenant on the Collector Ship. That gun rocks. But TBH, I did finish a playthrough with an Adept, and it rocks. There's no better feeling than throwing your enemies off ledge when you're making your way to the other tower to recruit Thane, or removing an enemy from cover. All in all, soldier makes my Insanity runs easier, but Adept has more fun in it.

Time to explore the galaxy!
The Citadel's Nebula
The Milky Way Galaxy
Leaving the Citadel
Found some gas deposits for the Alliance.
Traveling
Found Canrum, site of Shiagur's defeat during the Krogan Rebellions. It turns out that it didn't end well for the Turians.
And about that, found some Turian Insignia as well on the planet's surface.

Owen Shepard:
Back to Eden Prime. Even if I wasn't bringing him everywhere, I knew Kaidan would want to come. I knew he had been there with Faith, plus he told me the first time we dated. Also brought Liara along. She didn't know everything I knew from the Prothean beacon I'd found while with Cerberus combined with Samara "embracing eternity" with me to help unlock what was lurking inside. (Unlike Faith, who had first come across a damaged beacon, the one I found was intact.)
We were looking for a Prothean artifact but what we found was an actual living Prothean. Unlike all the Protheans who were dead on Ilos due to power loss to their stasis pods, this pod was still functional. We just had to figure out how to unlock it and open it, which seemed to be two separate procedures. Fortunately, Cerberus was already trying to decipher what was going on but couldn't understand it. Liara said, to her, it was only static. For me, I saw 50,000 years into the past as the Reapers attacked the Protheans. I also saw that the losses were considerable. More than the, even back then, many Protheans had been turned into Collectors. I wondered if I'd encountered those self-same Collectors or if the Reapers somehow managed to reproduce new ones over time. In any case, I learned how to open the pod. [No screenshots because GeForce Experience stopped taking screenshots, even those it says it's happening. I uninstalled it and am about to reinstall it.]

So yesterday headed back to Rannoch after doing a few things on The Citadel. I don't mind the Rannoch missions but I am not a fan of the Reaper fight until now!!!!! Whilst trying to refresh my memory of the dialogue options on the net I stumbled upon a hint to this battle. Feel free to call me stupid (I did) but during the fight I always assumed I had to roll to get away form the big red burny beam but you can actually stop aiming and run which is a damn site faster and the targeting picks up exactly where you left off!!!!! : Anyhoo was the easiest fight I have had against the Reaper!!!! Lets just move along. Down it goes: I love Rannoch So William managed to convince the Quarians (well Admiral Gerrel) to stop fighting the Geth so that they could achieve peace and then William and Tali took some photos of the land they'd build a house on after the war. Sadly Legion had to sacrifice itself to enhance the other Geth with the Reaper upgrades- RIP Legion. Tali assures William he's the only one allowed in her suit: Then back to The Citadel where Eraba got a message from Charr but I had told them to separate in ME2??? Then off to the Asari monastery to check on the Ardat Yakshi: Then off to rescue some defecting Cerberus scientist: I love it when they line up to get shot!!!!! William: "Brynn I think you're pretty special as well."

Finished ME2! Everyone survived. Base destroyed. Some pics from today:
Full squad, ready to go:
Joker not finding EDI's humor amusing
Shepard and Garrus getting something right
Leap back to the ship. I brought Garrus hoping he'd be the one to catch her (she caught him at the final fight) but it was Tali instead. Oh well.
Legion not infiltrating the Citadel.
And from Arrival....I turned the difficulty down to casual and shot that bitch Kenson as soon as I could.
This scene always gets me in the gut
Dear Harbinger....get stuffed.

Argh, trying to recreate ME1/2 Shepard in the ME3 CC is like trying to get Hawke right in the DAI CC - IMPOSSIBLE!
So, here is my ME3 version of Kate. Sigh.
She looks nothing like either of these two versions:
The hair color is close, but even the style is wrong since the pulled back hair is too poofy instead of pulled tight. I don't know how/why they did it, but somehow they made ME3 femShep look short and squat, while still being skinny as a rail. She looks tall and lean in ME2. How did they screw her up so badly.

I had exactly the same problem with my ME2 male Shepard Maybe you guys could create a Shepard in ME3 first, then turn the code into sliders for ME1 on the interwebz That's what I do since my 4th Shepard and I never had an issue with a botched Shepard anymore since then. I really have no idea what they did with an import into ME3, but yeah, most of the times, it's not working out

Still, I remember creating a really great ME1 Shepard with cc and having him look more and more different as I went along. He started as a redhead but his hair turned more brown. Plus, the scruff tended toward black in ME2 and ME3, something I didn't care for at all. On the flip side, I created a Shepard with cc for ME3 and he looks great. Wish I could bring that to ME1 but I'm not sure the cc is the same between games.

Yeah, me too. Plus, part of the problem is all the color seems to be washed out in the ME3 CC. I'm just moving from one dull option to the next.

Some of us might find them interesting. Only thing I don't like are mods that make Shepard look like a fashion model, complete with makeup and everything. (Ironic, too, since the face models for male Shep, Kaidan and even the Ryder Twins are all real models.) It just doesn't seem to fit with a hardened soldier.

Owen Shepard: Now that I knew how to unlock the pod, I needed to learn how to bring the Prothean out of stasis. As we moved through buildings I saw dead soldiers everywhere. Don't know why they were all wearing armor but they were gunned down while relaxing and watching a game. Cerberus no longer cared who they hurt to get what they wanted - if they ever did. Found another lab containing "static" that to me made sense. I saw more Reaper attacks on Eden Prime, which looked a lot like what I'd seen on Earth before we left. Also saw a Prothean again and talk of honoring the sacrifices of others in "the coming empire". Did they expect to wake up and rule the galaxy? I did get the needed command to undo the stasis so we were going back to the pod. We activated the pod but it was going to take some time. Meanwhile, Cerberus really went after us. Three biotics make a seriously good team. Singularity, pull and an AR courtesy of the geth really did the trick. Finally, the stasis mode was deactivated and I could now open the pod. I don't know what I was expecting - I mean, I had "what it means to be a Prothean" on the brain - but this was unexpected. Maybe because I was seeing a warrior rather than an average member of Prothean society but I was beginning to think the Prothean beacons were designed to put their "best foot forward", so to speak, so that we'd all be unprepared when they awakened and took control. Things didn't go as planned. The Prothean leaped out of the pod and hit us with a shockwave that knocked us all down. When I touched him I got a flash of his last moments before stasis. He'd thought he would be one of a few hundred left but instead it was likely there was be even less. The pod was also damaged so that it wouldn't automatically awaken him. Discovery by another culture was the only way he'd awaken. He was, simultaneously, "reading" me so that he could understand and speak my language. I wondered if that was a biotic ability we hadn't yet discovered or was something specific to Protheans. I feel like I should have had this knowledge but it wasn't there. Maybe Faith's connection to the Thorian would have been more helpful but I didn't have the outside perspective that the Thorian did. Javik, the Prothean in question, agreed to help us fight the Reapers but he was not very happy. I understood that, from the loss of my own colony, but magnified it by a trillion times by the loss of his entire species. Hackett wanted answers. He wanted to know if Javik could help with the Catalyst but I doubted it. Javik was a soldier not a scientist. The scientists were probably all "triaged" to death. Liara then called me down to the cargo hold to deal with a problem concerning Javik. A bunch of my crew were keeping him in captivity with guns. They said they had to "dust of the regs" to find out that, when dealing with a new species, to "assume hostility". They also wouldn't let Liara talk to him. The crew was doing their jobs but they were idiots. Javik hadn't just randomly walked onto the Normandy. I brought him there. Even so, I doubt they could have held Javik if he didn't allow it. We talked about the mission. From touching me, he learned that I had obtained information from the beacons and wondered why the warning wasn't heeded. It was, of course, but the "elite" decided not to believe. Besides which, none of it was clear to us since it was designed for a Prothean mind. He did say that his mission would not be complete until the last Reaper was dead. I was on board with that one. He didn't know much about the Crucible, just rumors that it was a weapon that could destroy the Reapers. Also learned that the Protheans dominated the galaxy and forced all other races to become a part of them or die. The reason, though, wasn't simple conquest. Instead, it was to fight off synthetic beings that were rising up against them. They decided that they only way to win was with a united front by all organic races rather than picking them off one at a time. I had noticed Prothean ruins all over the galaxy and asked if we were being studied by them. He said they were "cultivating" races they thought they could use against the Reapers - humans, asari, salarians, turians - maybe even krogan and quarians. I don't know that it meant they had modified us, enhanced traits we already existed or simply watched and intervened at times. The plan, though, was to incorporate us into their new empire when they arose. However, once the Reapers arrived they stopped whatever they were doing so that the Reapers would see us as too primitive to harvest. He did say that their conquest, their singular doctrine and strategy, had proved to be a weakness. Once the Reapers figured out their strategies it was all over. No one could adapt. Our differing but largely cooperative races might have been able to adapt.

cc is a friggin lottery. i think i've made something decent, and pretty sure of myself i click accept and start... ... *looks of bewilderment and disgust* I have rstarted some PT's 4 or more times just trying to get what looks good on the CC right in game. My current Shep took 3 restarts and I am still unhappy with it as he kept looking like he had a mouthful of bubble gum. So kept slimming the cheeks and jaw but forgot about the chin and just gave up
