--I watched the attract trailer for ME1 for the very first time. Even the trailer ships Ash and Sheploo. Yeah, but she dies in the trailer too. I wish that was actually playable. Like full romance before Virmire. Not that I want them to die necessarily. Just that it'd be cool for rp options. ME3 handles this better with most characters.

Finally back to playing some Mass Effect after about a week off.
Shawna Shepard: 1. Went with Jacob togo find find the Hugo Gernsback. (Well technically I suppose they were going to go find his father, but the ship is much cooler.) Found it; it was a wreck. Watched a woman get shot. Killed a bunch of men and mechs. Jacob's father is a giant butthole. Left him in the hell he created.
2. Went with Kasumi to party hosted by some guy named Donovan Hock. Broke into his vault. Found the greybox Kasumi wanted. Hock tried kill Shepard and Kasumi. Destroyed Hock's gunship, presumably with Hock inside. Convinced Kasumi to destroy the greybox.
3. Went with Jack to an old Cerberus facility. Found some Blood Pack mercs there, along with a human named Aresh. Convinced Jack to kill Aresh. (Essentially: "Hey Jack, the best way to deal with your psych problems is to embrace the psychotic killer inside you! Good girl!") Blew up the facility with a giant bomb, just like Virmire! Jack and Miranda got into an argument, sided with Jack. I need Miranda unloyal so I can kill her later on the Collector Base.

--I can't get a biotic amp to drop to save my Shep's life. He's gotten 1 upgrade, from the Toombs quest. I haven't found any for sale either and I go back to the Citadel every handful of quests or so. Same with omni-tools. It's like the heavy armor curse from my last run all over again. Nat could get stuff like biotic amps and omni-tools all day long, but no heavy armor. Now the opposite is happening here. "Ah, yes. Random loot." Too bad they dismissed that in ME2&3

Shawna Shepard: 1. Went with Tali to the Quarian Flotilla. Argued (read: yelled angrily) on Tali's behalf to the Quarian Admirals. Went to go shoot some Geth. Found Tali's father. Yelled at the Admirals again. Tali was found innocent.
2. Visited the Normandy's crash site. Picked up all dog tags (hit level 30). Planted a monument.
3. Investigated Project: Overlord. Got ambushed by some Geth. Destroyed a satellite dish. Met Dr. Gavin Archer. Went to Vulcan Station, destroyed some mechs. Went to Prometheus Station--a Geth ship--destroyed some Geth. Went to Atlas Station, went into some virtual reality-looking thing, destroyed a big machine. Found Gavin's brother hooked up to a big machine. Let Project: Overlord keep David because he's too valuable to the project.

Ran through the Suicide Mission 4 times. Did anyone die in them? Nope, I was just trying to trigger a specific line folks were telling me people got when following the paragon path. I was re-using a Shep save who was very paragon and everyone was loyal. I used the same squad (Miranda and Jack) for all 4 playthroughs of it, just switching different individual dialogue selections to make sure the it was the dialogue selections triggering the changes and not something else. Boring stuff. Will get back to actually playing hopefully tomorrow. On the plus side, I'm getting darned good at taking down that proto-reaper.

Calling hanar a Jellyfish is basically murdering them. But um...yes. Continued with Kirstin's playthrough. Was originally planning on a short session. Even had a sappy little sob story about how Kirstin met the greatest Krogan today, but he died. :'( At least they'll always have Utukku. Dagg...You were too good for this galaxy... But it ended up going longer. Visited a monastery and finally reunited with the Banshee's again. I like the Banshee's, they are few but fun. My second favorite enemy after the Brutes. Sadly they were accompanied by those dirty Cannibals. But luckily they left the Maurderers at home. Kirstin had to lay hands on Samara, who later threatened to hunt her down and rip her head off. Good times. Also gathered a bunch of small war assets and did tons of tiny side missions on the Citadel. Met up with the Prize and FemHawke. I wish she had another voice actor... Also danced with Jack and talked chips with Miranda. Started the Quarian part of the game, explored a ship, saved an Admiral and merged with the Geth. Poor Kaidan had to do all the work in those missions. I felt bad, but he doesn't have incinerate like Edi. And I like seeing the mooks explode with the tech style rather than the biotic style. *cough* Ended the session by shooting bottles with Garrus and getting a whole new view of the Presidium. Had to restart after that and figured it might be a good time to bore you guys to death write this excellent post.

Jenna finally went to see what was going on in the Outer Rim, only to find that the quarians had gone an declared war on the geth. Great timing guys, the Reapers want to subjugate the entire galaxy and you guys are fighting over one planet? Can't this wait? Apparently not, as admirals Koris, Gerrel and Xen were fighting amongst themselves and Admirals Raan and Zorah were struggling to keep the peace. That's right, Jen's friend Tali made good and got the promotion Jen herself has been sadly denied. Tali gets made an Admiral, Liara becomes an intelligence kinpin, Garrus has the Primarch asking his opinions,Kaidan's a Major, while Shep and Joker are stuck in the same ranks they were when the series started... After rescuing Legion, punching Admiral Gerral (has to be done) and then rescuing Admiral Koris, Jen entered the Matrix.... the Geth Matrix were alas nobody dresses in black, knows kung fu or gets a cool pair of shades. The one person who really seems rattled about this is Javik, who suggested we toss Legion out of the airlock several times, explained quite a lot about the plot and recommended we got Joker's head examined. Note to self: Listen to Javik more and possibly take his advice on Joker, the prothean occasionally speaks sense, when he's not complaining about the state of the galaxy. Felt a bit bad about siding against him and with EDI, he has a point with Legion and the geth, but he's a bit unfair to EDI who has nothing to do with the geth and has frequently expressed her dislike of the Reapers.

He dies if you don't help Jenna, right?
Trying ME1...again! This time with more idealized choices. Gonna try to maintain renegade, but without wiping out Wrex and Rachni. Should be easy enough with intimidate points, I guess.
I think I just can't get away from this series. Not until the Skyrim remaster comes out at least.

Conrad died on me. Bastard that's pretty much how it was I kept expecting him to say 'didn't feel a thing' and then I remembered I had neglected Jenna's mission in ME1. It's about time for a fem shep pt so, perhaps I will get the ends of ALL the pieces of string and enjoy the full Conrad Verner experience.

Except when forced to, I have not spoken to Liara and we have just finished Rannoch. Going back to talk to the Asari councillor and see what Aria is moaning about. Whether I go with her to Omega or just meet her down in Purgatory, I haven't quite decided. I want to see how far I can get without having to talk to her. Liara.

Played a few more story segments, including the failed coup on Citadel. So, now I've truly buried Thane. Loved the austerity of it. In regards to Leng, I feel two things. First, i am going to shoot him. Second, I want that hair for my male Shepard.
The second major story arc I am playing is the Geth-quarantine conflict, which is turning out better than genophage imo
I have to commend the ME3 on the creative battle and level designs. Thoroughly enjoyed the battle in the elevators, and the Thron-like or Gree style level design in Legion's sidequest. I am spoiled that somewhere down the road I might make a descision that leads to Tali's suicide. I am tempted to doing it this play through, because my M!Shepard will romance her through the trilogy.
One silly thing is that in the middle of it all Garrus and Liara want to spend quality time on Citadel. Well, I will go because I am curious if BioWare was cool enough for my Shepard to say "I grieve for Thane" providing this is an attempt on getting her out of her pants.
Finally, I played a couple more MP battles. I am terrible, but I am hooked! I really want to try Adept as well, but for now I am focusing on my engineer.

But yeah, MP can be pretty fun. Although I haven't tried it since the game out. And I played Adept a lot. The most. I usually prefer soldier for SP, but it's not as good in MP.

JenShep fought some Geth (oh, i love Vanguard), took out a Reaper and shouted so hard at the geth and the quarians that they made friends and stopped fighting each other. A bit worried about Javik, he seems very worried about the machines, and appears to be throwing every computer and electronic device we come across out of the airlock. Jen then went back to the Citadel as Anderson had left her his apartment to play in. Dinner with Joker turned out to be messy and ended up taking Garrus out for a night on the tiles while breaking into a casino. This ended up with Jenna fighting her own clone (oh, i really love Vanguard...) before Garrus returned the favour and took Jen dancing. All i can say, it being Strictly season here in the UK, It's a 10 from me!
Group dynamics have changed a bit between Sheps, or maybe it's Kaidan's presence, but Jenna doesn't seem to gel with Liara as well as Scott did. Scott considered Garrus and Liara to be his best friends, Jenna's best friend on the Normandy, in the absence of Jack, is Tali, although she seems to be a hit with James. Javik winds her up with his technophobia and tendency to dismiss everybody and everything as inferior to his Cycle. He's like a grumpy elderly uncle, "In maaaah day, we kicked all synthetics out of the airlock! and we had real Reapers...". Uncle Urdnot is much more fun. One of my favourite things about the Citadel DLC is Wrex getting rather carried away.

I'm currently completing the loyalty missions in ME2. Once again, as soon as I had finished Jack's mission she fought Miranda and once again I couldn't resolve it other than by alienating her; she's no longer loyal. I rolled a fem shep, intending for her to be a renegade but I keep making the same choices because I find many of the renegade choices to be gratuitous and it's yanking me out of immersion.
Oh, and boarding the collector ship (TIM's nasty little trap) has to be one of my favorite mission.

I've only played a few games, but I've managed to discover stuff that was more embarassing. The scoreboard for sure. That moment when I recalled that I did read about not running with the object to be deposited. The aha! feeling after finding out what happens if you investigate a smarmy thinggie. Mistargeting overload or drone in front of my own nose instead of the target. The "wait! Were did everyone go?" Many laughs I foresee. overall, I am deeply impressed by how fast the games pop & by how darn impressive everyone else is.

That tends to happen But I can't blame anyone. That is what is keeping the game alive after all these years. I'm curious on your future single player experiences.
