I used dice to roll up my new Shepard, and she is an earthborn, ruthless, murder Hobo -Adept named Annie Which is actually kind of great, as I haven't played an Adept in quite some time Though this shepard is also totally focused on the task at hand, so no stopping for side quests. I kind of look forward to the disastrous ME3 results of her. Anyway: After touchdown on Eden Prime, Annie run by the dead Jenkins to shoot some more Geth drones. She also ran by any of the survivors, to get to the Beacon asap. After finding the dead Nihlus, she wanted to shoot the coward dock worker, but couldn't for some reason. She got to the Citadel, and of course the council neglected the evidence against Saren. After searching for Garrus, and almost shooting Harkin, she finally found him in the ward's clinic. As Garrus immediately proceeded to kill the attacking criminals, Annie recruited him on the spot. Together they went on to kill Fist and Saren's goons that tried to kill a Quarian with evidence against Saren. Tali later insisted on joining Annie, she declined, but Udina overruled here. So together with Garrus, the Quarian, and her evidence, Shepard again visited the council. This time Saren was stripped of his rank, and Annie became a Spectre tasked to hunt him down. Getting this Shepard to survive the suicide mission might take a few out of character choices, if she remains the same person she is now

Annie Shepard visited Feros as her first stop after becoming a Spectre. The locals where defending their colony against the Geth, but wouldn't really answer why they were attacked. But they stated that the Geth seemed interested in the Exogeni HQ, so Shepard made her way there. Then follows the usual, killing geth, speaking to Lisbeth and the 'Stupid Mashine', killing more Geth, dropping a frigate, and driving back. Noteworthy may be, that when you completely ignore the settler encapment with Ethan Jeong and Lizbeths mother on the way towards Exogeni, the events on the way back are almost unchanged compared to when visiting the people there both times. Jeong immediately calls Shepard 'Commander' and proceeds with pulling his gun after Shepard mentions the Thorian. What changes is that there is no mention that he hoped the Geth would have killed Shepard. Anyway, Annie Kaidan, and Garrus decided to kill all the thorian creepers, as well as the colonists. Two got away in the end, including the Salarian Trader. I must have knocked them unconscious when some creepers got to close... Annie's throw ability wasn't as developed, as she focused on defensive techniques. Those were completely useless against the creepers and Shiala clones, which made fighting the thorian's slaves rather tiresome. But after using up way too many medigel packs, the thorian was finally killed. The real Shiala did something, which caused even more headaches for Annie. So that Asari had to die, as well. Later, Lizbeth thanked the commander for not killing everyone. I mean, sure. Two out of twenty or so. That's a good survival rate when encountering Shepard Next up is probably the search for Liara.

I have an announcement to make. I will no longer be playing Mass Effect on PC any more. Due to technical issues, which led to decide to play it safe & use my PC for only art, music, video, & internet purposes (without trying to spend hundreds to repair or replace), I have decided to return to the Trilogy on Xbox One.

Last week, Annie Shepard began searching the Artemis Tau cluster for Benezia's daughter. While doing so, she found and killed an Slaver that apparently wasn't the Asari she was looking for. She also found and killed a giant spice space worm which was apparently feasting on alliance marines sent into a trap. Annie thought about finding out why those marines where there, when an emergency message from Adm. Hacket ordered her to go and kill a rouge AI in a moon base. She took Kaidan and Garrus with her into that complex, hoping that their tech skills would be enough to shut down the rocket drones. It wasn't. Both Squadmembers went down repeatedly. (Which may or may not have somthing to do with the ruthless shepard ordering both to charge into the rooms as a distraction ) I took the Bastion specialization for the adept this time, for the ability to damage enemies through stasis. I don't think that I utilized that before. After that intermezzo on Luna, the search for Liara continued. Annie found her in some prothean ruin, trapped in a force field. More enemies arrived, among those a Krogan. That fierce looking bastard was unable to do anything against his demise. Mostly because he was trapped in Stasis, while Annie's bullets where not. With Liara rescued, the Normandy received a call from the council. They told Shepard about a STG team that seemed to have found something on the planet Virmire. Annie was a bit supprised that the council was finally trying to help, and immediately ordered Joker to set course to that planet. The Normandy dropped the landing team there, and they quickly managed to take out the AA towers so that the ship could land at the Salarians' camp. The Salarian Captain informed Annie that the Geth base on that planet was Saren's Lab for cloning Krogan. Shepard agreed that the base had to be destroyed. Wrex, the krogan merc didn't like that. He even pulled a gun on Shepard, so she shot him. With Wrex out of the way, the Salarians supported by Kaidan Alenko staged an attack on the base, allowing Shepard to sneak into the base relatively undetected. The team dispatched several Geth, and Krogan enemies on their quick way into the base. They also encountered resistance by what seemed to be former members of the STG team. At the breading lab -level of the facility, there were even some husks. Also two Asari and a Krogan Scientist. None of the survived, but the last Asari opened up the way to Saren's personal area before she died. Shepard went on to investigate, and found another prothean beacon. This one wasn't damaged, so the vision was a bit clearer than on Eden prime. But before she could try to make sense of it, Saren's ship called the vid com module in the chamber. Turns out that Sovereign is a Reaper itself, and Saren merely its puppet. Sovereign did set course for the facility, where the Salarians appearintly breached the outer defences. Shepard cleared out a landing site near the geothermal vents, for the Normandy to land. Ashley planted the bomb, when Kaidan called. The salarian Captain had died, and they needed help. Shepard and team began to make their way over there, when a Geth dropship launched additional troops at the bomb site. Fearing that the geth may find a way to disable the bomb, Shepard went back there. The Geth reinforcements where tough, but eventually dispatched. Then Saren himself showed up, trying to stop Shepard. Talking nonsense about preserving life while working for an alien-ai-killer-mashine-ship. Any way, Shepard stopped Saren. Literally - Stasis works on him! It took just a few further shots from the pistol, assisted by Warp, to bring him down. Almost. Saren fired a rocket of some sort that knocked everyone down. But he had to flee when the Alarm sounded that the bomb was about to get critical. Shepard and the Squad - including Ashley ( -but not unnamed marine #26) made it to the normandy in the last minute. Liara later tried to mind meld with Shepard, and found that the conduit Saren and Sovereign were searching for is located on Ilos. Though it seems that no direct way to that planet is known, as the Mass Relay connecting there was lost somehow. So that's Annie's adventures of last week. I haven't gotten time to look if Rentola or any of the other Salarians survived, yet.

Apparently commander Rentola and a group of Salarians always survive Or maybe i did accidentally destroy that com tower together with not sounding alarm at their location, which lead to them survive. Anyway, the crew was shocked about Kaidan's death. Except for Presley. With only one more report of Geth activity, the Normandy flew to Noveria. The weather there was cold. The welcome colder. Annie was informed that Benezia arrived some time earlier to fix a problem at BinHex for Saren. Of course she was already at another location, and administrator Anoleis refused to let Shepard go there at first. Annie got the necessary garage pass from him eventually, after bringing him the stuff the Hanar Opold wanted her to smuggle into the port. The drive to the BinHex facility from Port Hanshan was relatively uneventfull. Some Geth shot at Annie's Mako, but the superior armour and fire-power of the tank meant that those machines were quickly destroyed. Inside the Peak 15 facility owned by Binhex, Shepard, Liara, and Garrus were attacked by some sort of oversized Bugs. Luckily, those creatures couldn't do anyhting against the biotic pair and Garrus' guns. Judging from the VI's statements, it seemed that these creatures came from he 'hot labs', where Benezia went. The team took the tram to rift station, from where access tot he hot labs was supposed to be possible. But the only lift there was disabled. As if that would stop the burrowing creatures. Another lift worked though, and took Annie and her team to a squad of surviving security guards. Their commander <forgot-that-liars-name> confirmed that Benezia was in the hot labs and gave Shepard access. Entering the hot labs, there was no sight of an Asari (yeah, besides Liara, stupid VI! ), but some guy inside told the team that these creatures were Rachni! Unfortunately he was killed by a Bug before he could say much more, except that the neutron purge should be activated to kill the remaining creatures. Annie did just that, and fought her way through an onslaught of rachni towards the elevator. Making it of the hot labs just moments before the purge system killed everything inside. Back at the upper level, the guards where nowhere to be seen at first. But -what a surprise- they retreated further into the facility, and were working for Benezia all along. Following the trail of dying guards, Shepard and team arrived in another lab, where Benezia was waiting. Benezia put Liara in Stasis (First time I have seen that, normally she seems to focus on the player character! But this time she hit Liara with everything. Except for the initial Stasis cutscene of course.) - Then Benezia called for reinforcements repeatedly. One would think that commandos of a species with powerful omnipresent biotics would be better protected against biotic attacks. But they weren't, neither were the reinforcing geth. Benezia surrendered for a time, giving Shepard an OSD with the location of the mass relay to Ilos. Then she died. Annie totally didn't have anything to do with that! I mean, yeah she shot at Benezia a few times, but I'm pretty sure that it was Liara who landed the killing blow. I guess they had some problems. After that, Annie felt quite glad that she didn't have a family. With the necessary information where to go, the team left Noveria. Joker set course for the Citadel, to assemble a fleet and attack Ilos before Saren gets there. I think this was the quickest run through I ever did of Noveria. It took a total of about half an hour/40 minutes. And only because Shepard died twice to Swarmers. So much stuff that Annie just ran by. Having not been to the bio labs at rift station, and so not meeting Han Olar, I don't think that this Shepard will receive a mail from him in ME2.

I've talked before about an ME2 crash problem which happens right when Garrus hands me his rifle during his recruitment mission. I don't know what the problem is. So...I cheated. If I could have done a cheat to jump past the mission I'd have done so. Instead, I used Gibbed's savegame editor to "finish" the game and import into ME3. Sucks but that's all I could figure out what to do.

I finished Annie Shepard's ME1 run and started ME2.
Annie's visit the the citadel was short, thanks to Captain Anderson lifting the lockdown from citadel control. The Visit to Ilos was also short, Annie using lift, stasis and singularity to immobilize enemies everywhere, while Garrus and Ashley shot them to pieces. After meeting with Vigil and receiving the data files to hack the citadel, the team barely made it to the conduit. Apparently the Mako took more hits than I had thought in the areas before that, and was still damaged after the cutscene ended. A few more hits from a colossus, and the mako would have exploded right before the conduit. But Annie made it though. The fight along the Citadel tower was suprisingly fast. I think this was the first time that I just ran by the part with the geth controlled defence towers at the end. Of course, Annie shot Saren (while he was under Stasis) and killed him. Then she decided the council was not worth the effort, and ordered the 5th fleet to ignore the Ascension.
I did have troubles hitting Saren/Sovereign in the second fight with Stasis, but it was still disposed of rather quickly. After that Annie decided that Anderson should lead the new council, just because she hates Udina.
I started ME2 a day or so later and did the prologue and Freedom's Progress up to reaching the Normandy. Not many decisions or stuff the tell from there, other than that Shepard was an absolute ass to Tali. Annie was forced by Udina to take Tali with her in ME1, and only deployed with her once. Also, she never really talked to her again, after Tali began moaning about not sleeping well on a ship as silent as the normandy. So it felt rather natural for that Shepard to be so bitchy to her on Freedom's Progress.

The first mission Annie undertook was to recruit Mordin. (Just because I wanted access to the tech bay and bonus power reselection, otherwise this Shepard would have done something else first, to spite Miranda and EDI.) Upon entering the quarantine zone, she found a dying Batarian who accused her of 'not even waiting until he was dead before robbing him', and some nonsense about humans being responsible for the plague. Joke's on him, Annie did wait until he was dead, before robbing him. Then she entered an apartment where two humans hid. They did not have much information about Mordin, so she robbed them too. After a short firefight with Blue Suns remains and Vorcha, the squad arrived at Mordin's clinic. Just then, the Vorcha disabled the district's air supply. Mordin needed Shepard to re-start that, and use it to distribute a cure for the plague. He also wanted Annie to search for his missing assistant. Annie found that assistant in the hands of some Batarians threatening to kill him. Annie immediately ordered Miranda and Jacob to take them out, but they were too slow and the assistant died. The Vorcha at the environmental control put up quite a fight. Those damn rocket launchers And they had Krogan. Why? Anyway, Shepard killed them all, and then returned Mordin to the Normandy. It turns out this Shepard really doesn't like Krogan, since Wrex betrayal on Virmire. Not at all. She also hates Batarians. And she doesn't trust Quarians. She also wouldn't like Turians, if it weren't for Garrus. With Mordin recruited, I experimented a bit with different bonus powers, like the energy shield from here, but I didn't like that for this Shepard's playstyle, so I currently use Barrier again - even though that is mostly useless. Next up was a visit to Illium (possible thanks to ME2RE ), to search for Samara. Shepard did a few milk runs for Liara for old times sake, and did some shopping before heading the spaceport in search for Samara. As the whole district where Samara was last seen was closed off, due to a murder, Annie had to visit the local police station first. The detective wanted to get rid of Samara, and allowed Shepard's squad in. Samara again, wanted the name of a certain eclipse freighter, before joining. So the squad went into the eclipse base and killed everyone pulling a gun at them. So Elnora or what her name was also died after reaching for her SMG. The Squad found the 'biotic god', and Annie thought that he would be a good distraction for the fight with the eclipse commander, but the volus was taken out before the fight even began. The eclipse leader was eventually killed, Annie got the wanted ship's name, and Samara joined the team. The next mission was to recruit Archangel. It seems that you can't get into the recruitment area before speaking with Aria. That made Shepard quite angry, so she went to get a drink first. Some racist batarian bartender tried to poison shepard. So Annie, (still hating batarians) made him drink his own poison. She enjoyed it, the batarian probably not. There is not much to say about Garrus' recruitment mission. A lot of enemies to fight. Watching the Ymir kill mercs is always hilarious. I died in the tunnels again at the exact same spot as every single other time. Then Garrus took a missile to the face, and after dropping the Gunship the mission was over.

Annie Shepard, Zaeed, and Garrus went to Zoryia, for Zaeed's contract mission. After Landing, Zaeed admitted that he was only there to kill Vido Santiago. So after fighting through the burning refinery (thanks Zaeed ), Vido burnt and Zaeed seemed happy. Next up was a stop at the Citadel, to recruit Kasumi and see what Anderson's message was about. Turns out that the councillor wouldn't do much, except reinstate Shepard's Spectre rank. But without actual access to spectre requisitions or intel. So Annie declined. After that, the Normandy returned to Illium and Annie tried to find an assassin. Said assassin was after some asari with familiar name, but Annie is certain that she never met her before. After getting into the Dantius towers, the eclipse mercs there were already alert and shooting at workers for some reason. There was one dying salarian at the entrance, who couldn't give much information. His last words were something about other workers, but Annie did not encounter any on her run to the upper levels. She did encounter a way to cocky merc, who foolishly decided to not be help. His way down was fast. As were those of several other mercs at the bridge. (Pull - Throw combo is really powerful in this level ) Annie finally met the merc in Dantius' office, and he agreed to help fight the collectors. Back on the Normandy, the Illusive called to let Shepard know that another colony was under attack or would be soon. Heading there asap, the Normandy arrived just as the collectors were abducting the horizon colonists. Shepard took Zaeed and Thane with her. Thane was surprisingly silent. (I thought only a few of the later stage dialogue parts were missing, but apparently Thane is missing all of his Horizon lines ). The fight against the collectors there was pretty hard. Zaeed and Thane went down during almost every encounter. (I said attack, not to go there! ) But Annie still managed to kill of all enemy reinforcements. Even the stupid big bug thingy with AOE attack that killed her squadmates twice! It seems that this (and may be guardian cannons) finally was enough for the collectors. They fled and the remaining colonists were freed from the stasis field that had immobilized them before. Ashley Williams appeared and was pretty angry that Shepard had joined Cerberus. After that encounter, Annie did not want to bang her head against a wall, so instead she went to find some Krogan. The planet with the ominous krogan scientist was filthy, covered with rusty spaceship parts and bloody Blue Suns. Using her biotics again to push mercs and Krogans over ledges, Annie made her way to Okeer. Their talk was quickly interrupted by the blue suns leader. Using the newly acquired collector beam, Annie took out that merc really fast. But Okeer had died in the meantime. Mordin suggested leaving, but Shepard wanted at least something, so she ordered to take Okeer's tank baby with them. That appearantly angered Miranda quite a bit Having no actual use, need, or want for a krogan aboard, Annie made sure that the tank with the oversized baby was secure, and went to bed.

Does anyone know a good way to record videos or pictures on Xbox One for Canon Shepard? Typically you would use an external video capture device to record video from a console. There are several such devices on the market. I use this method to record videos from my Xbox 360. It is essentially a hardware device that captures video traffic between the console and TV screen, and forwards it to the computer for processing. (The video feed continues to the TV screen so you can continue playing as normal.) I had a Hauppage HD PVR (I thought it worked well), some Diamond device (I thought it was crap), and now I am using a Roxio device (it seems okay). I think Elgato currently makes the most commonly-used devices. Another option I think you can use with the Xbox is with an app that can connect your Xbox One console with a Windows desktop. I think the app is Microsoft Smartglass? I believe it is a free download and install. It should allow you to record from the Xbox One to a Windows desktop, although I think you need to log in to the computer with the same Windows Live user that you use to log in to the Xbox. I recall seeing this option when I was looking for other ways to record video without buying another hardware device.

It's been awhile since I've played a full trilogy run. I'm currently on a Game Of Thrones binge and this has inspired me to do a playthrough on my favourite GOT character... Tywin . Tywin Shepard is a spacer and a war hero. He drowned all his Blitz victims in a hail of bullets, so he already has a degree of fame (but he wants more...) Tywin is also a soldier with the extra power of medicine (because I didn't want him to have any special biotic or tech powers). The main motive of Tywin is to bring honour to his family name on the galactic stage because his father was a bit of a let down. This run will be on insanity and if Tywin dies then that is it his adventure is over (permadeath mode). The journey began on the Normandy and Joker has already started to irritate me even though he spoke only a couple of lines . Therefore, Tywin has decided that he'll be avoiding the bridge like the plague whenever he can. Tywin hastily retreated from Joker's voice to the frontlines on Eden Prime. This quick pace ultimately did no favours as Jenkins died in the line of fire. Tywin didn't have time to mourn though, he needed to press on and show everyone what his name means. He later met up with Ashley and encountered some stark raving mad machines . Everyone fought these machines valiantly and Tywin wasn't afraid of getting in a husk's face and meleeing them to the ground. When the dust settled. Tywin uncharacteristically saved Ashley from the beacon. He is now starting to have vision (some people say that it might be from the Lord of Light himself ) On the Citadel, many side quests were overlooked because Tywin only helps himself and his family. He gave evidence to the council and became Hand Of The Council (also known as a spectre). This has given Tywin more power than ever before and Saren will not escape his justice. Becoming the first human spectre was a big deal and bards sung tales of the historic moment. Tywin now his own theme... The Rains Of Castamere The Council No death so far which was a surprise considering, I thought it would take me awhile to get use to the controls again. I think I'll be relying on the sniper rifle more often going forward because I like the high damage they can do.

I'll make this one quick. Since last time, Annie recruited Jack and Tali. Kal'Reegar helped valiantly against the Geth Armature, landing several hits with his rocket launcher. He even survived the mission on Haestrom, even though his suit was ruptured prior to Shepard's arrival. After that, Shepard helped Liara take down the Shadow Broker. That was an easier fight than that against all those geth on Haestrom, where some random pyro managed to burn her, even though she was hidden in cover. With Liara taking the place of the Shadow Broker, it was time to help Kasumi get her partner's grey box back. Attending Hocks party, he seemed to have something against Shepard and Kasumi. That made it hard to get a good voice sample from him, though that may also be because Annie said something against the other party guests. That was meant as a jest, really! But she got her first choice of petty revenge and smashed one of Hock's ugly vintage vases. Everything turned out well, though. Hock died, Kasumi got the thing and deleted the encrypted memory. The the Normandy received a call from TIM, who found a drifting Collector ship. Of course that was trap, but Shepard managed to get the information about the Omega 4 relay anyway. Then they went right into the next derelict trap: A dead Reaper chock full of Husks. And also a talking Geth. That geth managed to get knocked out by some of the husks, so Shepard hard to drag it back to the Normandy. Miranda made some goods points about Cerberus having a long standing bounty for mostly intact geth, so Shepard sent that geth in a small package to the nearest Cerberus Base. By now, most of the Normandy Crew also requested to talk with Shepard, and then made some stupid demands about helping their offspring, or parents, or dead fish or whatever. Annie doesn't even visit the crew deck anymore, for fear that even the cook could want her help with something. Really people, this is suicide mission, Shepard does not care about a decade old wreck, or a she-yak on omega, or mouses on the citadel.

Last night, Annie Shepard decided to try and rescue that cerberus agent that got apprehended somewhere near Omega. Of course the agent was already dead when she arrived. So Annie send the Eclipse mercs in that base to the afterlife (not the bar, though) . Afterwards she received a nice mail from Cerberus, how much she helped to stop ' false information' about cerberus projects. Right... The Annie took Garrus back to the Citadel, to help him find and kill his former Squadmate. It turns out that the person that helped him disappear is Harkin, the sleazy Ex-CSec officer that she had to meet a few years prior. Annie immediately had the urge to shoot Harkin. She managed to not do that though, just in case something went wrong in which case Garrus would need Harkin for information, again. But there were no problems at all. Garrus' turian ' friend' died a quick death, and Annie is a little bit angry with herself about not shooting Harkin. Well, at least Garrus put a bullet in his leg. On the way to another mission the IFF was ready to be installed. But that called the Collectors, who raided the ship when all the fighters were away in the shuttles. Shepard is currently thinking whether to go for the collectors immediately -now that the IFF is installed- or maybe try and help one more squadmate with an urgent problem.

Annie decided that going right after the collectors had the highest chances to surprise them and get the Normandy a better chance. The Suicide Mission was successful, of sorts. But similar to her previous experience on Torfan, many of her own people died. Directly after going through the Omega 4 relay, the ship was attacked by reaper fighters. Luckily the better armour of the new Normandy meant that no ship's system were damaged during that initial encounter. But one of those frackers managed to into the hangar, where Shepard, Tali, and Zaeed fought it off. The other reaper machines went into a dogfight of sorts with the Normandy. Joker managed to dispatch all of them, but hit a large chunk of debris in the process. This somehow led to the eezo core overloading - which killed Kasumi. Without shields, but upgraded weaponry, the Normandy fought against an incoming collector cruiser, and managed to destroy it. But the explosion's shockwave hurled the Normandy onto the Collector base and disabled several systems. The Team split into two groups, infiltrating the base. Annie led one group, Garrus the other. All the while Jacob went into a ventilation shaft, bypassing most of the collector's security and opening the doors for the infiltration teams. That worked well so far, but Jacob was hit and killed, when the last door malfunctioned and would not close. On the other side of the doors, the reunited teams found the kidnapped Normandy's crew. But as they had already taken so many losses, Annie could not spare anyone to escort them back to the Ship. She later found out that none of them survived. Again splitting into several teams, Garrus led the main forces as diversion along a more heavily guarded route. Samara instead helped Annie, Jack, and Thane with maintaining a strong biotic barrier that allowed those four to use a passage otherwise blocked by collector seeker drones. This way, they could quickly gain access to another defend-able position further inside the collector base, and also open the doors for the diversion team from the inside. At least that was the plan. Samara had to generate the barrier all by herself, as the others were too distracted with fighting collectors, husks, and scions. Especially the later two groups proved to be almost too much for the squad. In the end, Samara was too exhausted to maintain the barrier long enough. Thane meanwhile had fallen back in order to cover for Samara and Annie. When Samara's barrier collapsed, he was taken away by seeker swarms. At least Garrus' team did not suffer losses, even though they also came under heavy fire. Leading the final push into the collector base, Annie left Garrus in charge to defend that position. She took Zaeed and Miranda with her into the final chamber, were they planned to plant a bomb and destroy the base. That's not exactly what happened though. When finally arriving in the final chamber, there was a human reaper shell. Fighting off several waves of collectors again, Annie managed to destroy the machinery that supplied the reaper with something (she did not want to ask what it was ). That same tube/pump system also held the reaper in place, so destroying it seemed to kill the reaper. Well, the Illusive man called, and proposed that irradiating and killing every enemy on the station would be the better option. Shepard agreed, as she hoped that could give her an edge when fighting the inevitable reaper invasion. So she set the reactor to emit a radiation blast, instead of destroying it. Though the human reaper shell was back up again, before the team could leave. It attacked them, together with several collectors. Annie fired everything she had at that thing. Zaeed even managed to fire some of his grenades right into the thing's eyes. But that did not seem to do much damage. After almost running out of ammunition, it seems that it was a single stray shot from Annie's Avenger that finally killed the thing. However, the reaper's death and the resulting damage to the entire area resulted in Miranda getting fatally hit by a large chunk of debris. The survivors of the defending group had fallen back to the Normandy by now, and Shepard and Zaeed also rushed back to the ship. Arriving just moments before the radiation blast went off. Back in safety, Annie learned that Mordin and Tali had not survived their final stand. After talking with the illusive man again, it dawned on Shepard that turning the collector base over to Cerberus might not have been such a great idea after all. She is still willing to work with them to destroy the reapers, but she will take a closer look at their actions from now on. At that concludes Annie Shepard's ME2 run. Samara and Jack will need to find someone else to take them to their destinations. And after forgetting about this at the final moment for three ME2 playthroughs, I finally remembered to kill of Miranda. I never played through Sanctuary without her, so that's definitely something new to look forward to in ME3!

I've been full of cold for the past few days, so I wanted to avoid doing anything which relied on heavy combat (just in case Shepard got killed by a silly mistake on my part). So I ended up landing on some planets to dig up some metal, collect some medals, prothean dics etc whilst playing some Tina Turner in the background . There's a small sense of achievement when you find a deposit of gold on a planet with "Simply The Best" booming in the background . Anyway... Tywin was doing this to start amassing his wealth. After conquering all of these planets and plundering their resources, he decided to dock at Noveria. Shepard was about to find out that his recent acquired fortune won't give him access to wherever he chooses. If he wants to gain access to Peak 15, he is going to have to show his political savvy.

So I did what happens often after playing MEA for a while I end up firing up another trilogy run. Made a male colonist war hero infiltrator. Picked up Liara on Therum and I had to reload the fight in the end 3 or 4 times that damn Krogan Battlemaster does not go down easy if you are rolling a low level Shepard with crappy gear. It didnt help that Garrus and Ashley kept dropping like flies. I find ME 1 Krogan to be the toughest fun fight.

I started ME3 this week. The last few months not on a spaceship have really gotten to Annie Shepard. She barely looks like the same. Anyway, the reapers attacked the sol system while Annie was talking to the Alliance's earth defence committee. Apart from Adm. Anderson and Annie, no one there seems to have survived. The two fought their way to a crashed gunship, where the Normandy later landed and took Shepard onboard. Anderson insisted to stay behind. I'm not sure if this is from a mod, if there was a mod conflict, or if I was just too tired to notice: But I missed Anderson's line about Shepard being an ex-Spectre. I actually played the Mars mission yesterday. But since I could not pick up any weapon mods at all, I'll go back and play that one again in hope that restarting the mission from scratch fixes this. If it were just the usual first two mods, I'd continue. But not being able to pick up any mod during this mission was a first.

I take it this a new game (new character or ME2 import), not New Game+ (import with an existing ME3 character?). If it is a new game, that seems weird. Also, I need to stop fooling around with Mass Effect Andromeda and start playing the trilogy again. I started ME2 about a month back with the intention of getting a new laptop and load my recording software onto it, but... I kind of didn't. I may just install the software on my desktop PC and do it from there. Jackie Shepard (and then Dimitri Shepard, and then Jack Shepard) cannot wait forever. Plus, I really just want to play ME2 again. I love that game so much.

So, after retrying Mars four times, and even completely re-importing the ME2 save file (and then restarting mars for a fith time...), it finally worked. Some attacking cerberus Troops outside of the mars archives where quickly dispatched. Ashley was somewhat annoying, and Annie shared her animosity. Then the two (and James) met Liara again. Shepard sent James away to guard the facility entrances, and the three women continued to fight cerberus troops inside the mars archives. Annie tried to use the Shuriken that she had picked up, but somehow this thing does not feel the same as her previous version. The cerberus MPs hit hard, though. So maybe she'll eventually pick one of those up along the way. Inside the archive's core, the illusive man called and made some nonesense statements. Annie got kind of angry that she gave over the collector base. But before that could have any effect, a cerberus bot tried to download and delete the data that Liara was there for. Shepard eventually got to the bot, but it jumped into a shuttle and took off. James saved the day, by ramming the shuttle with his own -doesn't that fool know that there are guns on the new Kodiaks? The bot survived of course, and almost killed Ashley before Annie could react. It took several rounds to the head to finally stop the bot. Annie wishes that she also had that kind of armour. The Normandy then proceeded to the citadel, where Ashley was transported to a hospital. Liara and Annie showed the prothean plans from mars to the council, but they were not interested in doing anything useful. Just like the old council At least the turian councillor, who is much less of a dick than his predecessor, gave Annie a plan for how to bypass the citadel council in the future. Annie also visited Ashley in hospital, or wanted to. But since she was still unconscious it felt like a waste of time, and Annie went to do the next mission instead. That mission was to rescue the turian Primarch from one of Palaven's moons. Of course this did not go as smoothly as planned, but Garrus was there to join the squad. Instead of the intended Primarch, Annie had to leave with a replacement. But as long as he can get the Turian navy to rescue Shepard's homeworld, she doesn't care.
