Finally swung by the migrant fleet to help out Tali. I came awfully close to telling the Admirals about her father, but since I wasn't sure how she'd take it, I just yelled at them instead. Seemed to work. (In reality, I just didn't remember if I could get her loyalty post-mission, and I didn't feel like checking.)
Liara and I found and killed the Shadow Broker, and I even got into a car chase on Illium. ("What kind of guns does this thing have?" "It's a taxi! It has a fare meter!") Liara remains uncomfortably weird and hugged me in my quarters.
Picked up the Reaper IFF and a strange Geth. EDI suggested I call the Geth "Legion" based on a Biblical quote about demons, so I'm not sure it's really the best analogy, but okay. Then Legion had a mission for me. Rewrite the Reaper-worshipping Geth, who he called the Heretics, or destroy them. I chose to destroy them.
Then my crew got kidnapped by the Collectors and Joker saved the day, after unshackling EDI. Not sure how I feel about that, but it's done.
Joker set the course for the Omega 4 Relay, and Garrus stopped by with some wine. There was gentle headbutting.
The crew made it through the Collecter Base, found and saved my crew, and I destroyed the base. I got to yell at the Illusive Man after that, and that was cathartic.
Had a little R&R with Garrus on the way to the Bahak system to do that favor for Hackett, which I did, and then accidentally killed 300,000 Batarians to prevent the Reapers from entering the galaxy. Oops. No point in dragging it out, so I guess I'll head back to Earth and turn myself in to the Alliance.

Did a lot yesterday but main part was curing the Genophage, but also stopped the Cerberus coup on the Citadel and let Ashley shoot Udina. Picked up MORE missions after handing quite a few in, heard the end of Jokers sister's story from the Asari in Huerta from the Asari Huntress and didn't give her a gun. Couldn't remember the ramifications. Stopped an assassination attempt by an ex Alliance officer, did a mission for Hacket to capture a Fighter Base and did the mission to get Jacob and The Cerberus scientists. On the Genophage fight, setting off the hammers had a weird phsyics glitch where Shepard just spiraled into the sky and died and the games difficulty setting seemed to go haywire, it was incredibly difficult. I couldn't even count how many of those Brutes there were but at the very least 8 to 10. Shepard wasn't helped by James and Javik fencing him in either, that resulted in a death. Some Screenshots

Point number 2...I'm prbably weird, some people may acuse me of certain things...but pigybacking off of the last conversation about trying different pieces of armor and also thinking about RP overall...I am wondering if Shepard should try trading out her standard N7 chest piece because of...boob armor. And while certainly not the most eggregious example I have heard that such things are impractical as all hell and even dangerous to the wearer so I tried out the Hahne-Kader chest piece and well it draws less attention to the fact but honestly still not sure its very aestetically pleasing (yes I appreciate the irony of what I just said) and well the bonuses from it, the weapons damage, I know I will be getting when I get Shep's visor back after the Citadel coup so leaning back to the standard N7 chest piece. But its so absurd in the back of my head and well Abigail, despite her old prolictivities of her youth, is...someone who prefers function over form. Also did the Cerberus fighter base to test out how Abby looked in the non boob armor. Thoughts on all this?

Also though Bo Katan's armor does barely count, at least from certain angles it would seem...

Previous to MELE I had only completed ME2 on Insanity as a Soldier. First I added the Vanguard to that list, and now I've added the Infiltrator. I had the notion that I would take the assault rifle bonus for the Mattock, I had my fill of the Mantis, mainly due to the necessary evil the is aim assist rearing its ugly head. But when Shepard reached out his hand, I thought, "am I really going to pass on the Widow?" No, no I will not. Haha. Especially since I haven't used the Widow in who knows how long. And then I dumped a bunch of points in the Operative tree, sniper time slowdown is great!
Kinda made things a bit boring after that, killing most enemies in one shot. Though I was wishing I had my Viper or better yet a team of Vipers against that last Scion/Husks at the end of the bubble run during the Suicide Mission. As I had Grunt and Miranda with me, and died numerous times. LOL. But, I guess I can love more than one sniper rifle.

See I am not sure I have gotten a straight answer on this but how many times can you not tell Mordin and co about the genophage cure before you reach the Tower? I know its at least two but could it also be three? And again I stress before the tower since I know it comes out then anyways. BEFORE you reach the tower, you can ignore telling Mordin about the genophage sabotage TWICE. (Although really only once). First truck sequence, you can choose to TRY to tell them about the genophage sabotage or stay silent about it. If you try to tell them about the genophage sabotage, you will be interrupted. Second truck sequence is where you can actually tell them about the genophage sabotage, or stay silent about it. If you tell them about the genophage sabotage here, Mordin will cure the genophage (no chance to stop him). If you stay silent about the sabotage, then you can tell Mordin about it at the tower or he will figure it out himself. From here you can let him cure the genophage, or stop him (shoot him if Wrex and/or Eve/Bakara is alive; or convince him to go away if both Wrex and Eve/Bakara are dead).

And that`s it, i finished my trilogy MELE run. It was fun playing it again and falling in love with this games and the characters again. As for my Shepard`s final decisions, she managed to convince TIM to stand down (he killed himself) and she chose destroy (got the breathing scene). Here`s some screenshots: Also i didn`t played the MET in i think three years, so i may be misremembering things but i don`t remember Shepard shaking Joker`s hand before Priority: Earth, i remember the salute but not the handshake.

I don't think there's any way to not be Joker's friend and get that handshake. It's definitely always been there. It's one of the handful of moments in the late game that I enjoy. It is great to be playing again! I'm in my third playthrough of MELE. I imported the John Shepard whom I've been using through my previous playthrough. He started level 29 (57, Sentinel). I'm making different choices to add a different world state to my assortment. I've already refused to recruit Wrex. (I love him, but he's always had the weakest connection to events.) Ashley will be my heavy until Virmire. Then, I guess Kaidan and I will "Barrier Up". This is also a bad playthrough to be on the Council. I'll be focusing on the Reaper threat when the battle arrives.

Ah shit here we go again.
-Third post in a row talking about armor but I realized during the last one though that I forgot another revelation about the whole thing...maybe. Kind of counterproductive to follow my plan of giving her camoflaugue matching each AO given that she has two giant light sources on her back. Which I do not think will be easy to do. Thoughts? Probably if I don't go camo I will try going with the same pattern as the Colussus armor...red and black. -Found a new chest piece which I am happy with. I think Serice Council? Maybe? Its the one that gives power damage bonuses, but it actually looks tougher then the standard N7 chest piece and honestly overall more aethetically pleasing, have to try to see how the different colors work on it but the black actually looks black. Hmm. I'll have to dust off how the Andromeda armor customization works when I get there but I suddenly had a thought. -Also got my beloved Kuwashi Visor so I think my Shepard's *canon look* is now complete. -And I also did Priority Citadel Cerberus Coup thing. -I know this mission does get some flack and I can even see why but really if you commit to Cerberus being a major military force in the first place...the original sin lets just say...then the Cerberus Coup is within the realm of possibility. And there are some neat moments, set pieces, and decisions to so...probably not my favorite mission but it holds up. -Plus you hear this the entire time which doesen't hurt: -Though again I stress by and large none of the music just pops out during gameplay like the Mars one does. -And well also a neat mission since it has my two favorite weapons in it, well two good weapons at least. The Revenant and the Talon. So my Shepard's loadout is now also complete. -Don't know if I will go Revenant or buy the Typhoon though, again don't think I have any experience with the Typhoon so I have no point of reference. -Didn't have to shoot Ash...yey...first thing she says when on the Normandy "Good to see you". -So I ended up having to do three meetings in a row and when you go down to visit Liara before it happens, which I do not think I have done, she is very insisten about going up to your cabin. It was more then a little creepy. But alas I had to do it to get to the Traynor or James cut scenes. -I also really enjoy being mean to her there 'you are a good friend Shepard' 'yeah...so is the crew'. -As @element__Zero can attest Jennifer Hale can get a little...flirty in some of her line delivery. I mean on the one hand she was inviting Traynor to take a shower in her quarters so I don't mind the crossing of the wires so much but I still had to be like 'down Abigail, she's not for you'(or is she? muhahaha) -I chose the unusual dialogue option there to of instead of the yeah that's me it was the 'yeah i write your performance reviews biotch'. Still funny either way. -And Abby auto dialogued mentioning to James that the bed was a lot harder then it looks...and James flirted back...I swear deliberate flirt or is Abigail just so out of practice she knew not what she was implying? -Stopped in the middle of the Cerberus rescue for Jacob and Bryn. Took EDI and Ashley. -Always fun running into Archer again. -Oh yeah and I can report that I do love Abby's basic arms. The Valiant leans a bit more to the DMR side of the fence then pure Sniper so I got into a tricky situation but didn't feel compelled to switch and fought my way out with the Valiant instead. The Talon likewise gives her a nice close range option which is better to handle then the Predator and thus if I get into a sustained firefight, which I did, don't feel the need to scramble for the Valk and can just stick with it...though the Valk does obviously have the ROF and magazine advantage but I was still popping heads left and right there for awhile.

I started ME3 and I'm continuing to play as an Infiltrator. I've been Vanguard only in ME3 for a while now, so its a bit weird playing something else. I started to melee everyone during Priority Mars after I ran out of ammo, and I've haven't stopped melee-ing since. Its especially fun smacking Guardians in the back. After unlocking Fortifications I selected it as my bonus power, boy what I wouldn't give to have the Batarian melee from multiplayer. Haha.
Before I mentioned that I wished Wrex hadn't survived to watch me sabotage the genophage, but I've changed my mind on that. Wrex's dialogue on Surkesh over the fact that I destroyed Maelon's data is interesting. With Wrex accusing Shepard of using the Krogan just like the Salarians. Well he's not wrong. LOL.

From the journal of Mark Shepard: So I went to prison ship to get Subject Zero, or "Jack" or whoever. Whomever? Regardless, that stupid warden then tried to get me into a cell so he could sell me. So I started a prison riot that pretty much ended up wrecking the ship. Luckily, I managed to find Jack and convince her to join the Normandy crew.
Then it was off to pick up the Krogan Warlord Okeer. I took Jack along with Mordin. We met some resistance with the Blue Suns. I also ran into the Asari scientist I let go back on Virmire. She just does not know how to stay out of trouble. She ran off again.
Unfortunately Okeer died trying to save his project: a tank-bred super Krogan. I took the tank back to the Normandy, but I really Okeer had survived, or even took that Asari on board. More scientists would have been great.
From the journal of Mark Shepard: I got curious and opened the tank. The Krogan threw a tantrum. I managed to calm him down. I wonder if I can put him back in the tank?

If Mordin is dead he would say Mordin is dead. I completed the dlc before starting Cronos. I've always gotten this line from Aria. There is so much variation built into these games that I'm not surprised that others might not hear it. I'm well into my third playthrough or ME1LE. I really didn't feel like starting from level 1 again, so I decided to import my level 29 MaleShep. So far, we've recruited Liara, disabled a nuke, found the missing ExoGeni team, and some other stuff. I'm still looking for good Light Human Armor. Even the save/reload trick isn't putting good armors in stock at stores. I'm still using the level VIII Colossus armor I got in my previous BDtS. I don't like the Light Colossus armor (too much red, goofy design). I really hope I can get some Predator L X soon. I realize now just how much I usually travel with Wrex. I can hear his banter in my mind in every location. Without him, Ashley is seeing more time planet-side. I usually never use her, so anything is more, I guess.

Did some running around on The Citadel, met Ash at the wall of remembrance where her sister was, talked Ballak down, had a drink with Steve and told him told him William was only interested in the dancers. Talked to Edi about what her body was made of and then headed to meet the Migrant Fleet. I invited Tali to Shepard's cabin and reaffirmed their relationship. Took down the dreadnought with Tali and Ash resisted the temptation to take Liara (the spurned LI) because I have too many times before. Struggled a bit with combat, didn't die but just was efficient or clever. Freed Legion and got back to The Normandy and reamed Admiral Gerrel, punched him and told him to get off the Normandy. Also went all Paragon with Admiral Xen over Legion. Got the message to meet Miranda and zipped back to the Citadel to meet with her and give her the access she needed. Then headed back to Rannoch to rescue Admiral Korris and take down the AA Guns. Next the Geth Fighter Squadron and the base. Not a fan of the Fighter Squadron one but even less of a fan of the upcoming fight against The Geth Destroyer. Pic's

So I didn't actually play last night...I'm house sitting so I will not be able to play my beloved Shepard for the next couple of days.
Anyways though I did forget one significant detail from my last time out. It occured to me running around after the Coup on the Citadel that I ran into neither Aethyta or Kelly beforehand which I think the Coup is tied into both events. So naturally while I do not normally care about bumping into Kelly I want to at least once in the LE and then the whole Aethyta thing is a bit discouraging. I know you have to do something specific to bump into both but I forgot...and well I would like to for the next time through ME 3.

From the journal of Mark Shepard: The Illusive Man sent us to a colony on Horizon that went silent. When we arrived, the Collectors were still there, abducting the colonists. Mordin managed to create a countermeasure for the seeker swarms, and seemed overjoyed to be testing it in person. Me, not so much.
The good news is we stopped the Collectors from abducting the entire colony, and we managed to fix some AA guns and shot at the Collector ship before it took off. The bad news is they still took about half the colony.
Also Ashley was there and she was pissed when she learned I was working with Cerberus. She did not much care for why I was working with Cerberus. We did not leave on good terms. But she later sent me a message saying sorry. So maybe there is hope we can patch things up in the future.
I lost a farting contest to Grunt. I suppose I should have seen that one coming.
From the journal of Mark Shepard: We picked up the Hammerhead and managed to track down Dr. Cayce and Dr. O'Loy. Both dead, unfortunatley, But I did manage to pick up a cool Prothean artifact that I now keep in my cabin.
I lost a burping contest to Garrus and Zaeed. I think they're still going at it.

So yesterday completed Rannoch, swapped my armour around and built a multi piece combo that seemed to make a difference especially the additional ammo capacity and weapon damage. Not sure if it is normal or not but the game seems really hit and miss with ammo drops, sometimes heaps and other times I have to revert to my pistol as I cannot find any ammo for the AR. The difficulty also seems really random, on Tuchanka against the Reaper forces even the Husks were taking a fair amount to drop them whereas yesterday the poor old Geth were dropping in two or three shots. I normally find the last fight at the base with the Primes quite a hard but yesterday it was over in no time even thought Tali and Garrus kept dying. Forgot also took out the Geth Fighter Squadron via integrating with the Geth consensus, one of my least favourite missions as it's just too repetitive but the info. you gather sort of redeems it. So after the base managed to only die once trying to take down the destroyer and it was more of a slip of the finger on the keyboard than anything else on the last attack. Next time my brain remembered "A" = Left. Then managed to talk down the Quarians and seeing the Geth and Quarians co-operate always makes me contemplate but "Green" but Nah. Did some on board chatting with various crew members and remembered I hadn't spoken to Javik since the first chat. Got a new picture from Tali.

I got to play a lot today. I had basically recruited Liara and done some side content yesterday.
Today, I completed all available side quests, except for the Armstrong Nebula, before going to Noveria. Completing that main hub opened up a few new places. I saved in Styx Theta, preparing to go rescue Marie Durand. We heard her distress call from a Cerberus base in the cluster.
I reached Level 60 while shooting rachni in the Mako. While Normandy's nameless quartermaster is now updating his inventory, I still can't get him to sell anything good. I'm wearing Colossus VIII that I got in BDtS in my previous playthrough. It's frustrating that I've not had light human armor drop or appear in a shop since I was around level 25. WTH?
I kinda hate the light human Colossus Armor, but what can I do? If I can't get the Citadel vendors to sell something better, or finally get some drops, I'll have to again ask for armor in BDtS. I only asked for it during the previous playthrough because of this unnatural armor drought. I really, really, really miss the armor glitch. Every other armor type has passed through my inventory in this time frame. With the glitch, I'd have an entire party with Heavy Colossus and Predator H X by now.
I'm assuming a bug is at work. It started immediately after installing the last update. Maybe it bugged this playthrough? I'd hoped NG+ might reset it, but ME1 treats NG+ saves as a continuation of the same career; so I knew it might not. I'll hope for a change, or otherwise not play this particular Shepard again.
Anyway, enough about that.
I thought skipping Wrex might be hard, but I've not really missed the big guy. I've used Ashley a lot more often, which is good. Between this and my last trilogy run, she's back in my good graces. 😆 I had let ME3 ruin her for me, but I seem to be over it. I'm glad. The game is better when all characters are meaningful. Virmire will be tough this time, instead of a rote, assumed outcome.
I kind of think the game makes more sense without Wrex. I did it to experience a world state with the untrustworthy Krogan the galaxy knows so well. Maybe I'll regret it when I get to deal with Wreav. Still, in ME1 it has meant more time with other characters. I'm enjoying it just fine as a change of pace. I'd have had a hard time killing Wrex, so I'm glad I could just leave him on the Citadel.

I just remembered a few other things that I wanted to mention.
First, I use and love the Lorik Qui'in glitch. If you've somehow missed it, you can talk to Qui'in repeatedly about testifying against Anoleis. You can max out both your Paragon and Renegade scores, and accordingly get extra skill points awarded to Charm and Intimidate. Since I sort of hate the existence of such skills in a game like this, I'll happily game the system.
It also means I get to play both the Biotic Extremist attack against Sirta Foundation scientists on Chohe, and get to visit "Lord Darius" on Nonuel.
I always enjoy rescuing the scientists with no casualties. I position my squaddies behind cover in the entry room and lure the first half-dozen biotics to their doom. Kaidan and Liara are great for keeping them floating. Then, I go in alone and kill the rest one at a time. They generally cooperate by not swarming and not killing scientists.
This time on Nonuel, Lord Darius got stuck in one of those things that vaguely resembles a coil topped with a bracket. Since we start that fight surrounded, I yoinked his ass off his lofty perch with a Singularity, and then shot up his dudes as we slowly withdrew to the defensible side of the room. Another Singularity got him stuck just before I could kill him, so he outlived his dudes. Once they were all dead, two more Singularities elevated him enough to allow us to shoot him up nicely.
No one should be denied either of these fun missions. The moral of my story is that you should use the Qui'in glitch. It was left in LE for a reason. 😉

Had a lot of time to play this weekend due to the poor weather keeping me inside. Finished ME2 with "MJ" Shepard, I was having a blast setting up biotic explosions, and wiping out 4-5 enemies with each explosion. When forced to go solo in Arrival, I started using pull and then pistol whipping enemies to death as they floated by me. Imported to ME3 and made the switch to vanguard. Going with the head canon that MJ was so impressed with Vasir's charge technique that she used the six months of "house arrest" to perfect the technique, and even added to it by developing biotic nova. My team that took down Saren was briefly back together facing off against Cerberus. I find it a bit strange that Kaidan and Ash are so accusatory of Shepard even if they sent the letter in ME2 apologizing for their...outburst on Horizon. Again, going with head canon here that Kaidan senses something has changed with MJ, and can't quite figure out what so he accuses her of still having ties to Cerberus. It isn't until he sees\hears the romantic undercurrent of the conversations between MJ and Liara that he starts realizing what tripped his "warning bells". Vanguard biotic melee fun!!!

Have you had to throw Garrus or Miranda out the airlock yet for any more screw-ups? Not yet. Since Mark is an Engineer, Miranda and Garrus stay aboard the Normandy and therefore have no chance to screw up. Jacob on the other hand... well no one has seen Jacob in quite some time, but no one seems to care either.

Yeah I think the fact I don't have to mess around withthe N7HQ app for the readiness along with the general graphical improvements will encourage me to go through the games moer frequently as I did kind of dislike all that messing about. I know I don't have to do that to get the bes tendings so long as I d othe DLC and everything but having it sit there at 50% staring me in the face every time I looked at my war assets always bugged me But yeah I think I've had the Joker handshake befoer but I think you need to have high approval withhim as a lot of times he just salutes me but I have had the handshake and got it in my last run as well. I think I did have a high approva lrating wit hhim though or at least my Shep and Joker respected one another
