helped the Consort with her image problem Is the bug in ME2 fixed so if you help her in ME1 the intercom message isn't about her leaving the Citadel? I...don't know, sorry. This is the first time I've played the Trilogy. Don't know anything about ME2, other than Martin Sheen smokes a lot. I haven't even finished ME1, yet

I don't own the Legendary Edition, but my understand is they fixed a lot of those issues. They specifically mentioned Conrad Vernor from ME1 to ME2 always acting if you punched him.

Just kidding. Thanks, mate. I might check it out. I'll probably just run this through 'unaltered' at least once, though. More laziness than cheating!!!!! I'd say you're just resourceful

Why specifically those two? They do most of the work given they'er Krogan and can take a lot pof punishment when fighting the Super elites. I did this with the Soldier class on legendary with Reaper Super Elites, all arena difficulty modifiers active(so around 50% extra points) and Garrus and Tali as a squad. They both have abilities which increase weapon damage done to individual enemies by 100% which is very useful against Banshees. Plus Garrus with the Typhoon and Tali with N7 Piranha/Geth Shotgun/N7 Wraith will both dish out serious amounts of pain which is awesome for keeping your kill streak on max since they'll be finishing off trash enemies left and right. For Tali the defensive drone (since the combat drone feels somewhat needless in ME 3 while being borderline op in ME 2) is also actually very useful due to its chain sap and long duration which can often buy you seconds to reload or having your cooldown ready again.
No, sadly the LE doesn't fix these bugs atleast in my experience. LE 2 will not import your attitude towards Conrad correctly, which as far as I know also holds true for the Consort. In LE 3 you'll have even more of these issues, for example Joker will always comment on how you used to hang up on the Council(even if you didn't do this once) or the outcome of Jacob's loyalty mission being at its default state no matter what you did originally. For LE 2 you can fix this with the TrilogySaveEditor and for ME 3 there is a community patch. Both are thankfully very easy to use.

Ah right I don't usually unlock all the score modifiers as once I've broken the scoreboard I don't see the point after that as by then I've got everything the arena can award me. I usually only pick up the no medi gel and no ammo modifiers for those challenges but that's about it. I think the best I've managed is probably 12000 but again that's with Wrex and Grunt wit hthose 2 modifiers. So unless I need the creds to buy anothe rweapon once I break the score board I tend to leave it.

Virmire. Starting to get it.
While I'd enjoyed the game up until now, frankly, I'd been wondering what the fuss was about.
Virmire was great, from start to finish, though. Mako rolling over Geth fools. Great. Crisis moment with Wrex. Great (very glad to have maxxed out Charm, again). The decision between Kaidan and Ash, then maybe it's getting switched, and then it wasn't. Great. The confrontation with Saren - really great.
Well played 2007 Bioware. Well played, indeed.

Well played 2007 Bioware. Well played, indeed. Yeah now you get why people have said do as man ysidequests as yo ucan or a tleas tthe ones you want done done by that point. But yeah it's m yFavouriet mission in ME1 for these reasons. Because it's at this point Shep and co realise just how big a task this could be trying to stop these things. Bioware really knwe what they were doing creating this trilogy

Who survived for you?
Ash bought it in mine. Kirrahe and Kaidan survived. I'm not using either Kaidan or Ash much so, meh. Mostly I wanted Kirrahe to survive. Almost missed the stupid antenna at the top of one of the geth outposts.

Well played 2007 Bioware. Well played, indeed. Well don't leave us hanging who'd you choose between Kaidan and Ash? I went back and forth when the geth reinforcement ship landed. Ultimately (and this seemed to be what 'Shepard' was thinking as well), I decided that while both of them were happy to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, Kaidan's will was a bit more...pure, while Ash seemed to be trying to atone for something (her grandfather, specifically), so Kaidan stayed and Ash lived.

Didn't even know Kirrahe could survive...I assume I would've been told if he had, though. So I guess he held the line a little too long.

Actually, a question; Or two...I guess.
I took down all the parts of the facility. What is the criteria for Kirrahe surviving?
And - can both Ash and Kaidan live? Or is that impossible?

Kirrahe, I'm not 100% sure about this, insofar as if you have to do ALL of this for him to survive, or just particular components. Anyways, here's what I know.
You get the assignment to help them out as you go along. Kirrahe and the person you sent with them will sometimes radio chatter in your ear as you progress. That chatter helps direct you to what can help them. (Apparently. I didn't listen to them much.)
- There's a switch for communications or something you have to toggle off. - There's an antenna you have to blow up at the top of one of the little outposts. (Might be a switch too.) - You have to destroy "The flyers" a group of floating turrets, and presumably two big explosive tanks that were underneath them. (I combined those two things at once to great effect.) - When presented with the option to take some of the heat off you and distract the guards towards the other team, you have to choose not to.
Then, at the end, I had the choice of leaving Ashley to guard the Nuke, or go help Kaidan and the team. I chose Kaidan. I'm assuming if I chose Ashley both Kaidan and the Salarians would've died, but I don't know for sure.
***
Kirrahe was actually on the Normandy afterwards, with the Salarian merchant even. (Who I could still shop from.) They mentioned they were getting off at the next stop so I'm not sure if they stay or not, haven't had a chance to check yet, but I thought that was a nice touch. Giving them a ride home.

Ah - thanks. That makes sense. I did all things in terms of the facility and told Tali to disable the alarms but not fake the guards out to the salarians, so it was really just the choice of going back for the nuke that doomed him.

As @fuckit says but simplified a bit. Plus a spoiler for ME2 which will be in a spoiler within the spoiler. You can definitely only save one of Ash and Kaidan and whoever you go back to save lives the other dies. To get Kirrahe to live you have to: # blow up the antenna on I think it's on top of the second of the bridge type structures you encounter, it is really easy to miss. # Destroy The Geth Flyers which I think just means destroying the Fuel Tanks you have to kill the flying turrets to get to them anyway. # Disable the communications towers (a terminal you have to disable) on one of the bridge structures IIRC. And then you have to tell whoever hacks the terminal to not distract the guards towards Kirrahe's team. Kirrahe's team will be in the Normandy Cargo bay if they survive. You can use the Trilogy Save Editor when you start ME2 to say Kirrahe survived
If Kirrahe survives you will meet him again in ME2 and I think he and his team become war assets in ME3 if you meet him in ME2 in Priority Sur'Kesh

Regular spoiler for ME1: I think regardless who you rescue, if you did all the other stuff, Kirrahe and his remaining team will be in the cargo bay. Unless MELE changed that?

Started yet another MELE playthrough late last week. Playing as a soldier this time through, which I haven't done since completing the OT for the first time almost 10 years ago. I am currently in the middle of ME2 and enjoy running femshep with Miranda and Samara as my primary squad mates. Armored Space Divas on the hunt for the wayward girlfriend: Found the wayward girlfriend, and held a rogue Spectre at gunpoint: I went with Liara, Ash, and Femshep for most of ME1. Feeling a Charlie's Angels vibe this time through. I will probably go with Liara, and EDI in ME3. Or Liara and Ash to bring the "original band" back together.

Yeah it can be a rticky choice usually i fI'm romancing on ethen that's the one I save. Genreally if I'm not romancing either then I'll pick based off of wha clas I am an dwha twould compliment my build best later. Fo rexample if I'm a Biotic I'll probabl ysave Ashwhereas if I'm goin gfor a moer weapon based build then I keep Kaidan.

Caption this photo↓ *** Didn't get too much done last night. Citadel stuff, glad I explored a bit. There were a couple new things I missed. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I can't complete a quest I picked up cause I got carried away with things. (Zabaleta.) Got through the early area in Ilos... ...had a great discussion with Vigil then saved and switched to ME3MP. Trio'd a couple platinums with two pugs I recognized and had a great time dancing with banshees.

Finshed ME1LE last night. I didn't do collectible Assignments, as I mentioned, but this was...quite short, wasn't it? I took just on 25 hours (and that included dying a bunch fighting the Thorian). Not a big deal, but I didn't realise that it was such a condensed experience. Ilos was cool, the tunnel with the - now defunct - cryo pods was cool. Loved the whole conversation with Vigil. Then the final fight for the Citadel. Told the fleet to concentrate on Sovereign - that'll show the Council and all their innocent staff for not believing me! - and installed Anderson on the new Council. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I can imagine on its release that the cinematics and general look caused quite the stir. So, one game down - I'm still a Dragon Age guy but this was very good. Started up ME2LE and made it to Jacob before finishing up for the night. The step up in visuals was quite apparent as was the very EAness of the Lazarus sequence.

Finshed ME1LE last night. Grats! I didn't do collectible Assignments, as I mentioned, but this was...quite short, wasn't it? I took just on 25 hours (and that included dying a bunch fighting the Thorian). Not a big deal, but I didn't realise that it was such a condensed experience. Just exploring gets you a lot of worlds to land on. Drives the time up significantly. That said it's still not a huge game, most of it is laying on the cutting room floor unfortunately. (Budget and limitations of widely available tech at the time.) Ilos was cool, the tunnel with the - now defunct - cryo pods was cool. Loved the whole conversation with Vigil. Then the final fight for the Citadel. ZOMG spoilers. Told the fleet to concentrate on Sovereign - that'll show the Council and all their innocent staff for not believing me! - and installed Anderson on the new Council. I made a point of contacting them and not hanging up (despite nominally playing renegade). They do have legitimate concerns for the most part. I have my Intimidate maxed but I checked last night and I'm officially more Paragon than Renegade right now. I like Anderson, Udina's a smarmy slimy prick. Shame you'll miss out on all the gratuitous ass shots of Miranda. I'll take a few screencaps for you. For the most part I loved the switch to ME2 combat and am looking forward to it. I dunno what form of combat ME1LE takes but the jump in the originals is hefty. Somehow I'm going to have to crank it up to Insanity cause Veteran isn't cutting it. I like more of the companions in that game too. The swap from pistol to actual combat-sniper will be fun. Popping heads in bullet-time is great. Dealing with ammunition sucks though.
