The end of the PV mod playthrough. Let's take a moment to remember the good things about the mod With the PV mod, I chose to have the romance scene before going to Earth instead of having it before Cronos. Shepard had a dream. More like a nightmare. War assets The end battle Overall the mod is great. I will do another playthrough with it. It might be a ME3 default playthrough as male Shepard. I will also do a trilogy run with nearly everyone dead to see the difference with the mod and the dream mod. Thanks for previewing the MOD themikefest I am definitely going to give it a try next PT.

How about a Barrier Soldier who transitions to a Vanguard in ME2 and ME3?
My question is how on Earth can it be plausible for a Soldier with Barrier in ME1 to become a Vanguard in ME2? One is more passive than the other. A Soldier with Lift or Singularity in ME1 would make more sense, right?
To be honest, I don't know what I want to do, anymore. I just can't seem to experience something without feeling like I've made a mistake midway through.
I'm trying to make a Shepard that will be my canon, my one true Shep forever, so there's a lot of pressure.

Thanks for previewing the MOD themikefest I am definitely going to give it a try next PT. As a suggestion. Read the description carefully. Also read compatibility list. I started a default ME3 playthrough. Say hello to JP Shepard, Vanguard. Will romance Williams. Shepard will be wearing Kai Leng's armor.

I loaded up MELE on my PS5, and did a quick import of my ME1 save into ME2 to see Shep continue Vanguard instead of changing her to a Soldier. It was just a test run, skipping through scenes and avoiding items. I forget how fun and fast-paced Vanguard is in the sequels. She dies and comes back to life, and is still a strong biotic, albeit dazed and confused. She may not have lost most of her biotic methods of combat, but her world is still turned upside down. She was dead for 2 years, and was brought back to life by, of all people, Cerberus. She now has to..cooperate with an enemy faction, in a more lawless side of the Galaxy, and everyone she knew has changed, for better or for worse. The risk and reward of a Vanguard is so fun, and everything in combat is so intense. So, why on Earth am I giving up a fully fledged Vanguard experience spanning all three games for the sake of a f**king headcanon involving her going from a Vanguard to a Soldier in ME2 & an Infiltrator in ME3, both only having one biotic talent. That's no way to have fun. So, whenever I get a chance, I'm restarting MELE, giving Shep a new name, and keeping her as a Vanguard fulltime. Her bonus talent in ME1 will be Singularity. Her bonus talent in ME2 will be Slam (or Reave), and her advanced weapons training will finally be the Claymore. In ME3, she will have Flare as her bonus talent.

- Touched down on Eden Prime, which turned into a mission much bigger than anticipated. Jenkins is dead, but Noah got a new squad mate in the form of Ashley Williams. You win some, you lose some. Got some extra equipment from the locals and killed some geth. Found the Prothean beacon and received a strange vision. Then the beacon exploded. - Went to the Citadel to accuse Saren of treason. Noah wished Anderson would have kept his mouth shut about the vision. Trash-talked Saren though. The Council of course didn't find anything incriminating in what they said. But Noah already figured that. - In the end, Noah was made a Spectre after all by the Council after hunting down evidence that incriminated Saren. Unfortunately, a krogan and a quarian joined for that. That's just ace... - Checked out the Citadel and spoke with a couple people. Talked to Conrad Verner, gave Emily Wong the OSD, helped Jenna out and took care of a krogan afterwards, bumped into Helena Blake, killed an AI and convinced Samesh Bhatia that his wife will save more lives if the military continues to run tests on her body. Then Noah went to see what all the fuss is about Consort Sha'ira. She asked for his help, but he didn't even know her, so why should he do that alien a favour? She was disappointed, but fuck that, he had better things to do. Before going to the docks, that turian they met earlier asked to come along to take Saren down. That was a big no for Noah. He already had two aliens on board now he didn't want. Don't need any more trouble... - The Normandy was now in Noah's hands and they departed for Feros. He had some chats with the crew on the way. Kaidan and Ashley were alright in his books. The krogan clearly did not want to talk, so he went to see the quarian instead. He's very suspicious of this one, being technically apt, so he'll keep a close eye on her... Eden Prime aftermath Finding evidence Citadel business Ready to go! I missed the Vista scene near the med clinic That was the price of focusing on taking Saren down And I didn't know the scene is gone after becoming a Spectre. I still learn lots of new things even after all these years It's sooo hard to do certain things, but I'll see it through I actually thought I could turn down both Garrus and Wrex (which I had thought about doing), but only one can be ditched! I was also very much under the impression that I didn't recruit Garrus in one of my runs before, but apparently I dreamt that I only once didn't recruit Wrex. So lots more new stuff to discover and I'm really excited

Artemis - Personal Journal #2:
I managed to make time for some meditation before arriving at the Citadel. It seems to have helped with my biotics, but I may check in with Doctor Chakwas. As for the visions they still make little sense. It feels like I am missing a point of reference, and my own memories of recently facing the Geth are causing some type of overlap.
The Citadel is nothing like I have ever seen before. It is like a huge mega city with a melting pot of alien cultures. While I have both fought against and worked with other species before when on assignment, the sheer number of different beings on the Citadel is staggering. Over the course of investigating Saren and his betrayal of the Council, I have expanded my team to include a Turian C-Sec Officer(Garrus), a Quarian(Tali) on her pilgrimage, and a Krogan mercenary(Wrex). Garrus' knowledge of Turians and and his experience in investigation will be a big help in tracking down Saren, he is also one of the best marksman I have ever encountered. I may have to challenge him on the gun range sometime to see who is the better shot. Tali's knowledge of the Geth will be critical in facing Saren and his Geth troops. She even impressed Normandy's Chief Engineer, Greg Adams. I do have some reservations with Wrex, but a quick background check using my new Spectre resources showed that he has a history of being loyal to his employer until the end of the contract. I used most the funding the Council provided me as a new Spectre to secure his loyalty in the hunt for Saren. While I am taking a bit of risk with Wrex, he has more experience in hunting down targets than the rest of the team combined.
As for becoming a Spectre, while honored and I don't doubt my own abilities, it felt more like a political move by the Council to appease humanity for Saren's betrayal, and their initial denial of his actions. I was also given command of the Normandy, I don't like seeing Captain Anderson sidelined, but I do feel his history with Saren may blind him to the larger picture. The Captain is adamant that Saren's hatred of humanity is driving him, but I think there is more to it.
We are currently en route to the planet Therum to investigate our first lead, Doctor Liara T'soni, a Prothean expert. She is also the daughter of Saren's co-conspirator, Matriarch Benezia. I am hoping Doctor T'soni can provide intel on the Matriarch and Saren, or the very least help me make sense of the visions. The question is, will the Doctor be friend or foe.

Past few days for BK Shepard (ME3 LE): 1. Helped Aria retake Omega from Cerberus. Aria choked Petrovsky to death.
2. Rescued some ex-Cerberus scientists from Cerberus forces.
3. Met with the Quarian Admirals. They asked for help in their war with the Geth.

BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE): 1. Took down a Geth Dreadnaught, brought back a Geth VI. (Apparently I gave 'Legion' to Cerberus in ME2. I forgot about that.)
2. Went into a Geth server to shut down some Geth fighters.
3. Rescued Admiral Korris.
4. Went to the Geth base, destroyed a Reaper. Ended the Quarian-Geth conflict; sided with the Quarians and watched the Geth get destroyed.
5. Went back to the Citadel briefly. Was confronted by a very angry Wrex. C-Sec killed Wrex. (And no Wrex, Shepard did not kill Ashley. Javik killed Ashley. You big, stupid Lizard.)
6. Scanned a bunch of systems.
7. Saved a Turian platoon.
8. Helped disarm a big old Turian bomb before Cerberus could detonate it.
9. Delivered a bunch of packages to people on the Citadel.

One day I will be brave and try.

I am hopeless and could never not cure the Genophage or broker peace between the Quarians and Geth The only time I didn't cure the genophage was with a no import game where Wrex wasn't around. I've killed off the quarians a couple of times and I think I killed off the geth once. I don't remember, actually. It's frustrating to broker peace and then pick Destroy at the end so the geth are killed anyway, at least in vanilla game with no ending mod.

I had some fun with this one. I took some liberties with the timing of in-game dialogue, and also to fill in gaps with my own head canon. ______________________________________
Artemis - Personal Journal #3:
The mission to retrieve, Liara was a success other than causing the destruction of a Prothean ruin. I may have left out the detail of using a mining laser, and let the Council believe the Geth were responsible. Liara's research affirms what little I can understand of the visions. The Protheans were wiped out by the Reapers, and according to Liara it is a cycle that seems to repeat roughly every 50,000 years.
I also made a bit of a fool of myself and it will likely spread through the ship quickly. As we were fleeing with the ruins coming down on our heads Liara had fallen behind, I slowed up and encouraged her to move quickly. I didn't even realize what I had said until Wrex called me on it while stowing our gear in the armory. Thankfully Liara had already been escorted to the med bay due to dehydration. Wrex asked, "Really Shepard? Move your cute blue ass?", and Ashley was right there helping me remove my gear. It took me a second to recall exactly what I said, as Ashley followed Wrex's question with one of her own, "Should we ask Liara about Asari sexual practices?". Do you know how times I have used "Move your ass" to motivate a Boot new to the unit, though without cute or blue attached. I will admit Liara is cute, and how could I not notice what was staring me in the face however briefly. It was right at eye level when I was releasing Liara from a Prothean security field she had been trapped in. Can't a girl appreciate a nice tush? Normally in my case it is attached to a human of the male persuasion.
I had hope Liara didn't catch what I had said in all the chaos, and I would be spared some embarrassment. But given our conversation after the mission debriefing, I wasn't even granted that mercy. I can't tell if Liara has a great deadpan delivery or if she was entirely serious when she briefly talked about her parents and weaved in details about Asari mating. It almost seems as if Ashley put her up to it.
Nothing like ribbing the CO to keep up morale.
We are currently on our way back to the Citadel for resupply, and for Liara to get some range time with the team before she joins us on an op. Having a powerful biotic on our side of a firefight will be a welcome addition. I need to check in with Chakwas before we reach the Citadel, something is up with my biotics. My barrier is stronger. I took a Geth fired rocket to the chest, and my barrier held. Previously that would have depleted my barrier and maybe even knocked me off my feet.

I assume the Wrex thing happens if you don't cure the Genophage and lie about it? I am hopeless and could never not cure the Genophage or broker peace between the Quarians and Geth. One day I will be brave and try. Correct. If Wrex is alive and you do not tell him about the Dalatrass's deal and then you destroy the cure (shoot Mordin/Padok to prevent the cure), Wrex will confront you later about it on the Citadel. Depending on what prompts you take or do not take, Shepard or C-Sec can shoot Wrex, and then either Shepard will kill Wrex or C-Sec will kill Wrex. Of course if Wrex is already dead, then it is much easier to sabotage the cure. Even easier if Eve is also dead (Maelon's data destroyed). Depending on previous choices in ME2 (and one choice in ME3), sometimes you CANNOT broker peace between Quarians and Geth and so YOU MUST pick a side. When forced to pick a side, I generally side with the organics and destroy the flashlight heads, but sometimes I will pick the Geth to win and then watch Tali or Raan commit suicide.

Recently I started a new trilogy playthrough that aims to leave the galaxy in a terrible place at the end of ME3, have as many bad outcomes and squad deaths along the way.
So far I'm on ME1 and have found something out I didn't know before. I'm trying to kill Wrex on Virmire but he's just rolling over and accepting whatever dialogue choices I make. After looking at the wiki this is because I haven't recruited either Liara or Garrus. If you go this path you can't kill him. Seems like an odd choice to me since you'd still have the VS and Tali at the end of the mission. Maybe there is some dialogue during the squad meetings that absolutely must have more than two squadmates present that I can't think of at the moment.
I wasn't going to recruit Garrus in ME1 and I wanted to have Liara be hallucinating from having been in the security bubble for so long. But now I'll have to load up my save before landing on Virmire and go get Liara I guess. Then I can kill Wrex in ME1.
In this playthrough I've also:
Killed Fist Punched Al-Jilani Returned Bhatias' body (For increased Alliance casualties) Killed everyone during UNC: Major Kyle and UNC: Hostage Killed Finch Set up Anoleis and Parasini to kill each other Set up the security guards to kill everyone on Peak 17 as well as killing the Rachni Queen myself Killed all the colonist as well as Jeong and Shiala Not completing Bring Down the Sky (So Terra Nova is destroyed) Not completing any quests that can help like UNC: Geth Incursions

I assume the Wrex thing happens if you don't cure the Genophage and lie about it? Yep. You know what's the funny part? The audio file doesn't prove the cure was sabotaged. Shepard says if I sabotage the cure. Doesn't mean he/she did. It's Wrex turning stupid. Then again, he is stupid. Just look at Virmire. I have cured the phage and got peace, but that was because of what I wanted to do for those particular playthroughs. My preference is not curing the genophage and not having peace. Why? In both scenarios, the game gives me no reason. Wrex is one of the reasons why I don't cure the geophage. I guess that means you wouldn't be able to do my playthrough? The one in my signature. I have just never believed the Star Brat about the Geth and EDI so the destroy ending never bothers me in that regard. The one controlling the reapers is the one telling me what the giant microphone is going to do. Why would I believe what it say's when the people who built the thing told Hackett they believe it has enough energy to destroy the reapers. They never said anything about control and green stuff.

Seems like an odd choice to me since you'd still have the VS and Tali at the end of the mission. Maybe there is some dialogue during the squad meetings that absolutely must have more than two squadmates present that I can't think of at the moment. At one point on Virmire, one human squadmate is with the Salarians and the other human squadmate is guarding the bomb. With the exception of a brief moment on Eden Prime, ME1 requires that you have two squadmates at all times. So that means you need any two of Tali, Liara, Wrex, and Garrus. Since you have not recruited Liara or Garrus, that leaves Tali and Wrex and so the game needs to have Wrex stand down so you can fill that second squadmate slot.

BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE): 1. Hackett ordered Shepard to get some shore leave, so he visited Anderson's apartment. Then he got a message from Joker asking to join him for lunch, which led to an ambush by some mercs. He escaped mostly unharmed.
2. They tracked the mercs to a Casino owner. Shepard went to the Casino and managed to sneak in to his office, but he was already dead. Shepard managed to call back his would-be assassin on the comms and they yelled at each other. Shepard took the computer back to the apartment along with some credits he pilfered from some casino ATMs.
3. Went to the Citadel archives where Shepard met his clone. Very surprising, but kind of par for the course by this point. Shepard chased after the clone, but was trapped in a vault. Glyph helped them escape.
4. Traynor help the real Shepard board the Normandy before it took off, and he finally cornered the clone in the cargo bay. Vanguard clone was no match for the real Vanguard, mainly because the clone had poor choice in shotguns (the Wraith? Really? You use the Claymore dumbass, like a real Vanguard should! ALL HAIL HIGH LORD CLAYMORE!). In the end, Shepard took pity on the clone and offered to spare his life, but the clone committed suicide instead.
5. Shot Brooks.
6. Met some squadmates on the Silversun Strip. Played some matches in the combat simulator. (Decided to call it quits for the night before starting the Unusual Scores.)

Yeah I think I onl yeve rdenied Wrex a cure once just to see wha thappens but tbh wit hWrex aliv eI jus tgenerall ycan't d otha tto him. Wi thhim and Ev erunning things o nTuchanksa there's a chanc thing scan improv efor the Krogan an dthe ymake formidabl eground rtoops fo ran ywar. Als owhile you ma yno tgetto spend much time with Legion i twa sgod to ge tthe Geth's perspective given w eneve rgot any of that in ME1 we were too busy shooting and blowing each other up. It made i teasie rto think tha tthe best option was to broker peace an dget both sides to talk like Admiral Raan and the Geth Prime were doing at the end of that mission.

I am beginning to feel the pull back to this great series. Plus this time I intend to use some mods like the community patches. My Shepard's build revolves a romance with Ashley. Like Ashley my Shepard will be a career soldier who was brought up in a military family. He's also a war hero who would've made Ashley's father proud to have him in the family. Maybe I'll start my MELE playthrough tomorrow night.

Think I'll ge tback r oForspoken once I getto or complete Rackham' s trial then bac kt oForspokren then from there back t om yME2 run. I'll likel yhold off on Andromeda still though until after my next Midnight Suns run but I do plan on at least finishing the trilogy.
