I finally found "my canon Shepard" with Artemis. Part of it is her appearance. I can't imagine Shepard with a different appearance after seeing the Jolene Head Mesh in several cutscenes. The other part is the way I am RPing Shepard this time around. I am not the biggest fan of Liara, and you could go so far as to say I can come across overly critical of the character much of the time. But RPing the relationship as friends to lovers over all three games is putting the character and romance in a new light for me. Also I can't really blame Liara falling for Shepard so quickly this time around, Artemis is just that stunning. The mod creator really out did him/her self. I am going to forgo posting more of Artemis' Journal entries. As I get more into the RP and the character, the journals are getting longer and longer. I do not want to fill the board with walls of text. I still plan on doing them because it helps me RP, and maybe one day I will refine them more and edit them properly to post somewhere as a fanfic. Anyone else run into an issue when trying to avoid a romance where Liara/Kaidan/Ash show up to give Shepard a pep talk. I made sure to pick "let's be friend's option" with Liara. Maybe I picked the interested in Liara option, while talking with Kaidan before turning him down. I ended up using a save editor to flag the romance as cancelled. Artemis at the end of her journey in ME1, Paragon, Soldier w/Barrier(soon to be Vanguard, Infiltrator w/Slam): Artemis in early ME1: Artemis in early ME2:

Wrapped up ME1 with my terrible galaxy state Shepard.
Let Ashley shoot Wrex Didn't lift a finger to help Kirrahe and Kaiden died on Virmire. Let Rana Thanoptis go Anderson got shot while getting the Normandy unlocked Let the council die on the Destiny Ascension Appointed Udina as Councilor
Really looking forward to ME2, it's going to be crazy.

- Noah wanted to check out Feros first, but when they arrived in the cluster, Hackett asked for help to retrieve a data module. Noah got it back and one or two monkeys may have been in the way of the Mako... - On Feros, Noah, Kaidan and Ashley slaughtered through the geth after having talked to the leader of the colony. When that threat was gone, another emerged. The colonists had gone crazy, apparently enslaved by an alien called the Thorian. After shooting a scientist that annoyed Noah very much and after accepting some nerv gas grenades to save the colonists by another scientist, Noah went to deal with that thing. Surprisingly, all colonists made it out alive, even though Noah definitely shot in their direction when some of them closed in (his aim must have been super bad!). Then the team finally faced this giant ugly plant. Noah was glad he could kill it. What a creepy thing. Even more creepy that it spit out an asari at the end. An asari which had worked with Saren and Benezia before. Noah got from her what he wanted - the Cipher - but he couldn't let her live. Who knows what had been altered in her while teaming up with Saren or being stuck in this plant. Better safe than sorry - Hung up on the Council afterwards. Also had a nice chat with Kaidan and Ashley. Noah gets along with Williams very well, surprised at himself that he even mentioned his dead family. That usually never happens... Wrex doesn't want to talk and Tali is a bit annoying to Noah, but he hopes she'll pull herself together during this mission. - Stopped a geth incursion in a nearby cluster and dealt with several other things. Saved a chairman, cleared a husk-infested excavation site, killed two crime bosses (still have to deal with Helena), killed a crazy biotic girlfriend and shut off life support for her braindead boyfriend. On the way to the Citadel they stopped a rogue VI on Luna and Noah became a Shock Trooper. - Back on the Citadel, Noah met Admiral Mikhailovich and took the elevator down to C-Sec. He got a call that some girl from Mindoir is in the docking bay. Strange, he was just there and no one was around? Noah told the guy he had no time for that right now, but when he heard that the girl might be a danger to herself, he went to try and help. Fucking batarians, what they did... he knew. And he was able to help her, sedating her to get her someplace safe. Then he gave an interview to Al-Jilani, convinced Rebekah to get the treatment for her baby, helped Emily Wong one more time, helped Dr. Michel by silencing the blackmailer permanently, and bumped into Conrad again on the way (and for once since I didn't start Kahoku's quest line yet I could ask him about Banes!). Attican Beta Crew talk Citadel Man, I actually died quite a few times The krogan on Feros early on were quite a challenge with not that many developed CC talents Also always fun when your squad doesn't listen to orders, never gets old! Shotgun Vanguard is much fun! I can't wait to see how many times I will die in ME2 and 3, it will be hilarious And great to see you guys talk about some things that I will actually have in my playthrough as well this time (like Wrex having to stand down on Virmire no matter what because I won't have Garrus and won't recruit Liara until the end). Still so many things to do in the trilogy As for the krogan and quarian stuff. I like to mix things up to keep it from being repetitive Always pick according to how my Shepards feel about it. The quest lines for these two bear some great stuff. One of my favourite scenes is when Legion and Tali are friends, but the geth die later on. Tali has some nice stuff to say, it's really cool. In my second run I couldn't broker peace and got this scene, I was in awe how different the game can feel depending on what you do or don't do. Ever since I mix up a lot to see as many different variations as I can

I am about 1/3 of the way through ME2 with Artemis. She started out as a vanguard, but I was getting a bit bored with the gameplay...I have been playing to many vanguard Shepards lately. I used a save editor to switch her to a Infiltrator and gave her biotic slam as her bonus power. Running with the head canon that her shields are her barrier and she started to develop some telekinetic ability. Loving the build so far. My three favorite ladies of ME2 with four of my favorite mods, five if you count the head mesh: (Mods pictured Miranda Armory, Zeb's Samara Armor, Modern Weapons, Cerberus Weapons) Thievery, Krogan anime, and a red dress:

Artemis completed the Collector Ship ambush/trap. She was pissed off TIM let her walk into a trap uninformed. She is a veteran Spec Ops soldier, and has dealt with knowingly walking into a ambush before and not tipping off the enemy. When TIM gave her intel on the Shadow Broker as a olive branch she immediately went to Liara and shared the intel with her. Once Liara verified the intel it was a mad rush across Illum, and then the Broker's base. It ended with Liara as the new Shadow Broker and Artemis having a reliable source of intel. Their friendship now has even more underlying sexual tension. I wish you could start a romance with Liara in ME2. I imagine Artemis' resurrection would have her reflecting on missed opportunities, and making the most of life this time around. That and the underlying sexual tension with Liara during the Shadow Broker DLC(even when you aren't continuing her romance from ME1), really feeds into the friends to lovers route I am going for this time. I was tempted to use a save editor to flag the romance as active to get the kiss scene after defeating the Broker. Then have Artemis and Liara play it off as weakness in the heat of the moment, and setting the romance back to inactive after the dialog. 4/7 of the original band back together, facing off with another rogue Spectre: Liara sporting new armor with an actual helmet: (Zeb's Liara armor mod MELE2&3) Garrus and Artemis, shortly before Garrus takes another projectile to the face. First a rocket and now a table: I love how this shot is framed:

Last night I played some more BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE). I did the first two Unusual Scores missions, then got fed up and quit after dying a few times in the third/final mission.
I (jokingly) blamed the frame rate for my issues earlier in this thread, but I do not recall dying this much the last time I played a Charge+Nova Vanguard in ME3. I know original ME3 has issues where enemies are affected by the game's frame rate; enemies can react faster and shoot sooner on higher frame rates. (I recall someone once mentioned that setting the frame rate higher -- such as 240 FPS -- could cause enemies to shoot and hit Shepard before they even turned around to face Shepard). I am not sure if the Legendary Edition has the same issue.
Previously, I played original ME3 on Xbox 360 which is capped at 30 FPS. I am playing the Legendary Edition on PC; I checked some of the INI files at some point, but I do not recall what the FPS was set at.
Maybe I am just getting worse at the game over time. It happens. I know I am not as motivated to play the games as I used to be. I have played each game in the trilogy about three dozen times at this point; I was bound to get tired of playing them.
I should fire up the ol' Xbox and load up my original Charge+Nova playthrough and maybe record some gameplay to see if there is actually a visible difference or if I am just projecting. I just do not recall it being as hard as it used to be (on Insanity) in my limited memory. There have been several times where immediately after a charge my shields just get shot off, so no chance for a Nova at all. Normally I would charge > shoot > nova > nova > repeat and I can still do that somewhat, but now I find I have difficulty even just trying to charge > nova > nova (no shooting) as I have to frantically mash Nova and hope it comes out in time.
Again, this could just be me not remembering my original Charge+Nova playthrough on the Xbox (it was several years ago) versus now on PC. It just seems inconsistent at times, but again that just may be me playing really badly instead of actual framerate/game issue.

I am having a similar problem with MEA ATM, not dying a lot but getting close and having to run and hide, hey Drack you and Cora take care of those Kett will you. I think it is because having played it so much I am just much more complacent and not as focused TBH but there are times when I do think hey WTF how did that enemy carve so much off my shields and health before I even fired a shot.

After Mars, went to the Citadel Dream #1. Once I'm done with this playthrough, I will be doing a 'You will all die' trilogy playthrough to see the difference with the Dreams Remade mod. My previous playthrough, the Project Variety mod playthrough, I forgot to disable the Diana Allers overhaul mod so the PV mod can do it's thing. On the SR2, I saw Allers in her regular outfit. I disabled her mod, then reapplied the PV mod leading to Allers wearing what is shown below.

No screenshots today. I completed the Arrival DLC. I did it early because I am working on getting all heavy weapon upgrades so I can fire the Cain more than once when finally facing the "human" Reaper.
I have the Expanded Shepard Armory mod installed, which has Shepard waking up in his/her undies at Project Lazarus, and during the Arrival DLC after being knocked out. Not really a problem with Male Shepard, he is wearing black boxer briefs. But it looked so out of place when Artemis woke up and she is wearing lacey lingerie. I wish there was a MELE2 mod with a sports bra and female boxer briefs/boy shorts for femshep.

By getting all heavy weapon upgrades, the cain can be used twice against 3 eyes. It was alright, but I prefer completing Arrival after the main mission to have Harbinger appear.

ME2 is going really fast with terrible galaxy Shepard, since I don't have to do most of the missions.
I've recruited Morinth and I finally have all the bonus powers unlocked in MELE now with that. It's such a dumb choice, but I still appreciate the fact that we can choose Morinth and that she has her own unique power as well.
Other things terrible Shepard has done so far.
Took Veetor back to Cerberus Made sure Mordins' assistant Daniel was killed Didn't stop that one kid from Garrus' recruitment mission from getting killed Got the Patriarch killed Let the smuggler Pitne For go as well as the killer Elnora Let Rana Thanoptis go again Got Kal'Reegar killed

- Noah stopped by Terra Nova and saved the colony from a batarian threat. He enjoyed ridding the galaxy of all these batarians, they deserve nothing less. Some more slavers gone. Their leader died. Unfortunately, only one of the humans present there survived. - Checked out a freighter in space, leading to a nearby planet. Found a base with a dead person, one Captain Willem. Then Noah met up with Helena Blake and threatened her to disband the gang. One less problem... On to Noveria. - Noah talked to the merchant Opold, retrieved his package and kept it for himself. Told Rafael Vargas that an asari is trying to spy on their company. Killed some crooked guards in the SI office and got the data for Lorik Qui'in. Noah went to see Anoleis first and told him he has evidence of Anoleis's corruption. In exchange for Noah's silence, Anoleis gave him the garage pass needed to leave. Then Noah went to see Parasini, threatened Qui'in into testifying against Anoleis and made Parasini's day. And Noah's. "Colonial rube" my ass. On Peak 15, fixed some stuff and helped Captain Ventralis. Noah found out the quickest way to get to Benezia was fighting through guards. Benezia died, the rachni queen died and Noah purged some more rachni. On the Normandy, went to have a talk with the crew afterwards. Kaidan talked about his past, Ashley and Noah connected some more over Ashley's family stories, Wrex still didn't want to talk (Noah is the kind of Shepard to just leave him be because he doesn't care enough ), and Tali begged for the geth data Noah had gathered in vain. BDTS Port Hanshan Peak 15 Did a lot of things I never did before, which was super interesting to see, but sometimes hard to go through with (I have to get used to being a ruthless Shep ). Had some annoying glitches. After dealing with the guards in the SI office, I fell down the elevator shaft because the elevator never properly arrived I first fell on the roof of the elevator and couldn't get back up again, and then finally fell down all the way into the shaft. Of course not getting out either, so I had to redo the whole fight. Well, I could enjoy killing Stirling twice at least Then on the way to Peak 15 I exited the Mako at some point and Ashley was gone from my team... a reload luckily fixed that. I have sooo many new bugs in the Legendary Edition. Other than that Vanguard with a Shotgun is much fun. By now I try to play more aggressively since my level/build is far along, having a blast! I kinda want to do Shotgun runs with all other classes I haven't done so far yet (I only had one Soldier and Vanguard, I think) I used Pistols a lot in ME1 on PS3 since it was always the easiest to use for me, but MELE makes everything much more fun with the updated combat.

Artemis helped Jack destroy the Cerberus facility where Jack and several other children were the subjects of horrifying experiments. Artemis had Miranda accompany them due to Miranda's knowledge of Cerberus systems. Artemis also hoped that seeing the horrors of Cerberus' work on children firsthand would shake Miranda's loyalty to the dark organization. After destroying the facility, TIM contacted the Normandy wanting Artemis to investigate a Cerberus cell that requested immediate help. With Miranda and Samara, Artemis found that an overly ambitious scientist forcefully used his own brother in a horrifying experiment attempting to control the geth. It was another wake up call for Miranda, and hit even closer to home. Instead of protecting his sibling, the scientist used his brother to further Cerberus' goals. In the end Artemis barely stopped herself from killing the scientist, and his brother was sent to Grissom Academy for help and recovery. Jack reveals her experience as a child: Artemis entering the "matrix":

Terrible galaxy state Shepard finished up ME2.
Did Tali's loyalty mission and turned over the evidence. Tali wasn't loyal and the fleet is now fighting amongst themselves.
The Collectors attacked the Normandy and abducted the crew. Instead of going after them Shepard decided to do the Hammerhead missions. (got to get that Prothean sphere afterall)
Then came the part I was looking forward to, the suicide mission. Here's a rundown:
Woke up Grunt just before hitting the Omega 4 relay. (I also had sold Legion to Cerberus earlier)
Jack died in an explosion Thane died in an explosion Garrus was impaled by a beam Jacob took a rocket to the face The crew was dead by the time I got there and I did not give Chakwas an escort so she never made it back to the Normandy Kasumi died leading fire team 2 Mordin died holding the line Grunt died from a fall (feel a bit sorry for him since he basically just woke up) Miranda was crushed by a beam
Luckily Zaeed and Morinth survived so Zaeed was there to pull Shepard up.
Shepard did destroy the Collector Base.
The Normandy is so empty now. The only crew on the whole ship are Shepard, Joker, EDI, Morinth and Zaeed. Interestingly enough Morinth supported destroying the base.

Terrible galaxy state Shepard finished up ME2. Did Tali's loyalty mission and turned over the evidence. Tali wasn't loyal and the fleet is now fighting amongst themselves. Looks like I missed her. She got carried away by seeker swarms since I took a non-loyal Miranda as my biotic specialist.
Originally I was hoping to kill Zaeed during his loyalty mission after the suicide mission. But the game doesn't let you have less than 2 squadmates. That would have been even better having only the worst squadmate, Morinth, alive at the end.

I had Zaeed, not loyal, with a loyal Miranda surviving the suicide mission. Before doing Zaeed's loyalty mission, I let Grunt out of the tank. My Shepard let Zaeed die. Grunt and Miranda punched their tickets to ME3. Both died in ME3. The best part of that playthrough was getting the breath scene.

What regack said, there is a mod for shepard to survive that mission as only one: Last Person StandingSo you can go back and redo that most terrible of all ME2 runs

I smiled at a few comments. I know why Bioware has two needing to survive. I would add an option where Shepard could survive with one squadmate. It would mean the player can no longer do any mission after defeating the collectors. I would even say Shepard could survive with no squadmates. If the crew survives, one of them can help Shepard get back on the ship. Maybe in a remake that can happen.

Artemis had a busy day yesterday. She solidified Garrus' and Thane's loyalty. She thinks Thane may be a little bit infatuated with her. After all the excitement on the Citadel, it was off to retrieve the Reaper IFF. Encountering a Geth that actually talked first instead of trying to kill her was a new experience. Artemis helped "Legion" destroy the "Heretics". She doesn't quite buy the Geth are as innocent as "Legion" suggests. After destroying the Geth station it was time to proceed through the Omega 4 relay and stop the collectors. In the end the Normandy crew was rescued, the Collector base was destroyed, and the entire squad survived. I wish there were more moments like this where you could flaunt your Spectre authority:
