- Noah went to Thessia. And lost it. Lost to Kai Leng. Lost the Prothean VI they had found in a beacon at the temple. And along with it, information on the missing Crucible component, the Catalyst. With all that crap happening, Traynor found something suspicious concerning Sanctuary. - Noah wasted no time and checked out the supposed safe haven. It was anything but that. It was hard to comprehend what had been happening there, hard to believe a human being was capable of doing these things. The Illusive Man and all his associates have lost it, Noah was sure. He just wanted to end all of this, end him. At least they found the culprit behind Sanctuary's experiments. Miranda's father. Coincidentally, Noah and Miranda crossed paths and they ended up taking her father down together. Miranda saved her sister, but died in Noah's arms. - Noah then liberated a communication hub on Ontarom from Cerberus and saved Grace Sato in the process. - Hackett ordered the Normandy into dry dock for much needed repairs before the final battle. Noah hated the downtime, he wanted to finally be done with the Reapers. But he wouldn't rest anyway, at least not yet. Someone tried to take his identity. That someone was actually a clone. After a wild chase they dealt with this bastard and the crew unwinded a bit afterwards. Noah met up with his old and new crew and then reluctantly threw a party, but given this might be the last time to have some fun, might as well do it loud and drunk. Cheers, Ash! - Noah raided the Cerberus HQ and got the information on the Catalyst. He also avenged Miranda by killing Kai Leng. - Then Noah went to Earth for the final push. This was where the war ended. The Reapers got destroyed on that day and Noah died a hero not only to humankind, but all races in the galaxy. Spamming pics one more time Thessia and aftermath Sanctuary Citadel DLC Party time! Another new dialogue I was sooo surprised to see this, don't think I ever did (if I did, thanks, goldfish brain )! Haha, EDI! Cronos Station Earth And another Insanity run done! I'm still missing the Sentinel with this set of classes, but for now I'm taking a break and play some other games for a change In this run, I actually was in the mood to do Vega's pull-up challenge, something I haven't done since 8 years!! Ash's romance was okay, but there are still some out there that are way better. I still need to romance Thane (which I plan for the next run) and Miri, after that it's Kelly and even Allers at some point. Let's see!

Was it stressful yes at times, did I die not a lot but some fights yes repeatedly.

ME2 is where the player has to be more patient to get through each mission. For me playing soldier is the best for playing insanity. I can bullrush through the trilogy. I've done it as an adept, but it was tough especially in ME2. My suggestion to any who have yet to play at that difficulty is watch a video to see how hard it might be. Most of all be patient.

And then it slaps you with Mirror Match on Insanity lol. Agreed on ME2 being the hardest, with ME2 NG+ taking the crown.

I still haven't done an insanity run. I'm just not that good at shooters. I just play these games at the default difficulty. Maybe one day I'll work up the nerve. Believe me, I quite sucked at Shooters before I played ME Back then, first time ever I played on Casual to enjoy the story, but then fell in love with the trilogy and gameplay so much that I wanted to collect all trophies And being lazy, I played it on Insanity right away to get those trophies asap (if i rememer it right, back then on PS3, there was some kind of workaround where you could unlock Insanity right away, something with loading an old save and bump up to the highest possible difficulty and then unlock Insanity somehow).
It was a pain in the ass, but I learned a lot during that time, and the guys in this thread helped me a great deal. Watching videos from RedCaesar and capn233 also helped a lot. I was so in awe they could play without bringing up the Power Wheel and it looked so smooth and nice, and I wanted to be able to do that too! Of course, I never thought I was good enough to get there, but it actually worked out alright I think (A few years ago, ME3 Multiplayer played a huge part in me improving as well. I learned even more during that time, and it was tons of fun, but not truly necessary to be able to play on Insanity.)
I never played games for a challenge, but MET (or now LE) piqued my interest in a way I can't even explain So if you ever decide to do it, there'll be a lot of helpful tips here on this board and moral support, I'm sure You could also always decide to just bump up the difficulty one step with each playthrough and see how it goes, so it might develop naturally in this case and Insanity won't be a big problem anymore for you

fraggle Okay you convinced when next I replay the trilogy from the beginning I'll play on insanity. I'll also watch some videos as you suggested. I started playing LE2 last night got a bit teary eyed when the Normandy was destroyed. Woke up two years later in a Cerberus research facility. Apparently Shepard died and had to be rebuilt. Met Jacob and we fought are way to Miranda. Made it off the station and went to a new station. Met The Illusive Man. Got am mission to got to Freedom Progress. Went to Freedom Progress reunited with Tali and some other Quarians. Sent Veetor with Tali. Poor guy was traumatized who knows what Cerberus would've done to him? It would have been cool if in LE3 we could have picked between siding with the Alliance or Cerberus. Talking about Cerberus TIM reunited Shepard with Joker and got a new and improved Normandy. Met the crew, reunited with Chakwas. Now have to go to Omega and find Zaeed, Mordin, and "Archangel."

Just finished LE1. I had forgotten how great the game is. There was a lot of planets to explore though most were devoid of life save for a few indigenous lifeforms. The soundtrack was amazing I forgot how good it was. As for the game Shepard decided to save the Council at the cost of many human lives. Saren is dead. Sovereign is dead. Now I don't know if I should start LE2 right away or wait to later on today? Yeah it' sstil a ver ygood game the stor yis very good for me. It's reall ygameplay wise for m eit falls a little behin d2 and 3 a sgamepla ythere was always better. Though I will say I think 1 is the stronges tstor ywis ebut none of them are bad other than maybe the ending of 3 being questionable but I stil think it made sense to me so I let it slide. 2 and 3 are definitel ygameplay wise though imo.

Right now I'm playing ME2, and when I play the third game I'll be using the alternate ending mod. www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/323and www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/1018

A year or so ago, I had started my journey on the Legendary Edition thanks to EA Play on the console.
So, I gotta say, it's official. After taking my time, I've finally got the platinum for the three games! Just beat ME3 and did a quick speedrun with a New Game+ up to your first access to the Normandy so I could get the Weapons to lvl 10.
I started Andromeda, then. Gonna try that Platinum one more time and hope that I don't go by any Remnant Hack-stuff unnoticed.
BTW, solid game. Honest.

Last night the crew went to Omega. They were first directed to go speak to Aria. Before going to speak to her Shepard recruited Zaaed who was in the process of an interrogation. Afterwards the crew went to Afterlife and spoke to Aria. She gave them some intel on where Archangel and Mordin can be found. Apparently Archangel has drawn some heat from the 3 top gangs of Omega. Mordin was in the residential district which is contaminated by a plague. Shepard spoke to a merc recruiter and was taken to were the mercs were planning to attack Archangel. This time when the kid came in to be recruited Shepard couldn't talk him out of it. Got to be a bug with the Unofficial Patch. So the crew makes it to the mercs base of operations and quickly Shepard sees that kid from the recruitment office get gunned down. Shepard makes a tour of the base speaking to the merc leaders and sabotaging their advantages. All teams are ready to attack and launch an assault. Shepard gives Archangel some help by gunning down mercenaries. The re makes it to the top and Archangel is revealed to be Shepard's old buddy Garrus. Together they take down the rest of the mercs including their leaders. Garrus is severely wounded in the fight and taken back to the Normandy. Garrus makes a quick recovery and now is fit for duty. Next have to recruit Mordin.

I played through ME2 with the minimum crew of 8 people. I left Grunt in the tank, didn't recruit Kasumi and Zaeed and sold Legion to Cerberus. All but Miranda were loyal and there were no casualties on the suicide mission.

Did a lot last night. After leaving Omega when to the old Normandy's crash sites to pay my respects to the ship and crew. Then went to the Citadel recruited Kasumi and spoke to Anderson and the Council. Then did Kasumi's loyalty mission. I chose to destroy the device she needs to move on. I also did Zaeed's loyalty mission. Chose to save the workers over capturing Vido. Zaeed was not happy with this but Shepard convinced him.

Played some LE2 last night. Did two side quests one was to rescue a captured Cerberus agent with incriminating information on Cerberus. The operative was killed but Shepard found the information he uploaded the files to the Alliance. Did another side quest where I had to stop three heavy mechs from destroying 20 crates. I was only able to save ten. Recruited Jack. The Warden of Purgatory tried to capture Shepard and he got what he deserved. Now I'm on Korlus looking for Okeer.

Last night I finished the mission in Horizon in LE2. Shepard ran into an old flame. She was distrustful of Shepard and his new allies as was expected. Now I don't know if I should start doing the dlc? Or just do the Cerberus related dlc during the main quest, then after we blow up the Collectors base do the non Cerberus related dlc like the one where Shepard has to go in solo and rescue Admiral Hackett's friend? Does anyone have an opinion?

Did a lot last night in LE2. Completed the Project Firewalker dlc, infiltrated the "derelict" Collector Ship, and went to Tuchanka met an old friend. Completed both Grunt's and Mordin's loyalty missions. I really enjoyed the dialogue in Mordin's loyalty mission. Some of BioWares's best writing in my opinion.

Well, tera nova certainly offered an interesting experience.. Finally an adversary worth my time. Balak was a man worthy of respect. He's a deluded extremist, but he's not stupid. On some level I understood what he was trying to do. But at the same time I knew I had to stop him.. Ran into his second in command Charn. Unlike Balak, charn was just a lackey.. Not even worth a bullet. I put the fear of God in him, it seemed to work, he gave up the main facilities pass code without a fight. Charns was just the little fish, time to go catch the big one.. I fought through balaks forces with minimal effort. Balak came up with what he thought was an ingenious plan, rigging the hostages with explosives and threatening to detonate it if I went after him. A sound plan, and if it was anyone other than me, the butcher of Torfan then I'm sure it would've worked. But not in this life. I sacrificed the hostages and Balak was executed. I felt something as I was informing Simon of what transpired. I couldn't put my finger on what the feeling was.. Guilt? Even though Balak was the one who murdered them and he would've gone on to murder more If I didn't stop him.. but it's something I hadn't felt in a while. I've never regretted anything I've done in the name of the greater good. And I'm not about to start now.

Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition
Did Garrus' Loyalty mission last night and saved Sidonis. Though he wanted vengeance Garrus seemed okay with SHepard's decision to save Sidonis. Saved Tali from the Geth. I also saved the remaining Quarian marine Kal'Reegar. Next will go to Illium. Got lot's to do there. I'm gonna save the 'Lair of the Shadowbroker' dlc for after the main quest.

Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition
Went to Illium and completed Miranda's Loyalty mission. She is now loyal to the mission to stop the Collectors. Back on the Normandy I accidentally flirted with her. Had to reload since Shepard is loyal to Ash. Recruited Thane. Ran into Conrad Verner. He was posing as a squadmate of Shepard. Completed his "mission".

So I finally got to playing Legendary Edition, started a last week in ME1 LE as a Soldier. It's been a while since I played any of the OG / OT. Been playing a lot of Battletech.
In some ways it feels a bit "alien," even though it is still largely the same game I have played for many hours. The changes to the difficulty relative to an OG Level 1 insanity start are pretty dramatic. But it did take me a while to figure out a new "good" way to kill the Thresher Maws.
Overall having fun and think they did a good job updating it and refreshing the gun play. But there are a couple things that are starting to annoy me:
1. I don't remember this being an issue earlier in the game, but using Immunity or Adrenaline Burst seems to lock me out from firing my weapons. It seems like the time is variable, but is sometimes 2 or 3 seconds by my estimate.
2. Related, trying to rush enemies and shoot - melee - shoot... seems like it also is a bit "problematic." Maybe just a l2p issue. Or maybe it is related to above?
3. Heat bonus on at least Master Overkill doesn't work. I thought it worked on basic and advanced, but maybe I was wrong.
4. I appreciate that they improved squad control, but it is a shame that ordering the "attack" command doesn't cause the squaddie to immediately use an appropriate power like in ME2. Minor thing, but it would be nice. Also still can't seem to bind squad powers to the quick slots, which is unfortunate.
Otherwise, not sure it is worth starting a thread two years out but as far as weapon damage theorycrafting goes, but without formally testing it seems that more or less the same mods and ammo are still the best. I am swimming in Tungsten and Shredder rounds now due to the drop changes.

Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition
Recruited Samara. I found another bug with the unofficial patch. It does not let me complete the Find the Observer mission from Liara. I found all data entries but it did not let me complete the quest. There is no dialogue option to end the quest. Got Tali acquitted from all charges against her. I like Tali I consider her Shepard's little sister. I also consider Grunt Shepard's son lol.

Diary entry: Mark Shepard
I ran into Conrad Verner today on illum.. I vaguely remember shoving a gun in his face a couple years ago. I was pissed off about the Normandy being grounded and I guess I took it out on him.
He's now masquerading as a badass, problem solving space hero.. The idiot is going to get himself killed. He's got a few loose screws in his head but he doesn't deserve to die. I had to shut it down. Conrad mentioned that an asari merchant told him that eternity was a front for an illegal red sand operation. I detected something iffy about that.. I needed to sort it out..I've always had this weird compulsion of having to solve any problem I came across. Whether it was my problem or a pair of total strangers arguing about whether or not to give their baby gene therapy, it didn't matter. I solved any problem that came my way.. So I guess my shot of ryncol had to wait..
I went around to the other side of nos astra to confront the weapons merchant. She was smug, definitely up to something, Just as I suspected... But she was obviously an amateur, in over her head....I could tell that it wouldn't take much to brow beat her into submission...I raised my voice a little, made a few threats of ominous violence (That always seems to work) and she practically crapped herself.. She immediately dropped the charade and agreed stop manipulating Conrad...
Another problem solved. I told Conrad to quit trying to be something he's not or he's going to wind up dead, which would deeply upset me..I couldn't contain the sarcasm in my voice as I said the last part, but it was partially true. Guess I've grown attached to him.. Thankfully Conrad adhered to my advice and went on his way without a fuss..
He may be gone for now, But I get a feeling that's not the last I've seen of Conrad Verner..
