- Picked up Kasumi, got the Spectre status back, picked up Zaeed and Mordin (was actually kind to batarians), picked up Garrus, picked up Jack - Helped Kasumi take down Hock and his goons, did lots of side quests to level up, then picked up Okeer's krogan - Went to Horizon, met Ashley, and opened Grunt's tank afterwards - Went to Illium, got a message from the Rachni Queen, helped Gianna Parasini this time (so cool to see another dialogue variation when you haven't helped her on Noveria) - Went to the Dantius Towers and threw a hissy fit because this mission's ammo problems ALWAYS exist and it doesn't make it any better that there's lots of sections where you can't save to reload and fix the problem Picked up Thane in the end. Yay. - Helped Conrad realise he's better off being himself than trying to be someone he's not Decided to not meddle with Ereba's and Charr's relationship, helped Shiala Further Baddie kills: Cathka, assassins coming for Patriarch, Blue Suns guy when going to the lab, Eclipse Trooper flew through the window Some sections were way harder than they should be with a Sentinel I rarely died so far though, but squaddies just don't stop dying at times... as usual. I was impressed that for once they didn't die during the Praetorian fight

Doing my yearly trilogy run. Currently on ME2. Just saved Sidonis from a new hole in his head. Reunited Thane and his kid along the way. Now I'm of to Hocks party.
Can never decide when to do the shadow broker. Before or after the suicide mission.
Chosing my squad based on relevance for the story and how they will fit into the mission (zaeed on garrus recruitment, mordin on grunt's etc.).
Wanted to get legion early but don't want my crew to get liquified. Will get IFF last again.
First time playing infiltrator. Cloack is fun, mostly using it with incinerate. Feels like discount soldier, not impressed.

Every time i think i know everything about Mass Effect i find something new. I didn't recruited Garrus and went to Virmire without recruiting Liara either. Now it is not possible to kill Wrex.

trinity0: I know the feeling! I'm always amazed which options I haven't explored yet and the changing scenes and dialogues Also continued ME2 over the past few days: - Picked up Samara, then helped Mordin find Maelon. Maelon survived and the cure was kept. Afterwards Grunt was ready to grow up, so we went to take down some vermin and a thresher maw. - Helped Garrus find Sidonis. Lou wanted to know more about why he did it and talked to Sidonis, leading to Garrus sparing him. Harkin has a new hole in his leg though - Boarded a Collector ship, got ragey (yes platforms, looking at you, and at you, squaddies!), picked Assault Rifle training - Kept Thane's son from making a mistake and helped Samara with finding and killing Morinth. - Picked up Tali and helped Reegar survive, then picked "I want you, Thane." (And was surprised the paraphrasing was SO BAD AGAIN when the line Shepard says afterwards is actually really sweet.) - Helped Zaeed, but chose to save the workers and was in the mood to not pick the blue option, so Zaeed is not loyal now. Contemplating whether he'll die in ME2 already or 3. - Did some side questing, then dealt with the quarians accusing Tali of treason. I thought very long about the choice at the end. I have never exposed what Rael has done, and it will not happen in my next two runs either, so here we are The dialogue is fantastic and I felt really bad doing it, but the reasoning for Lou to do it and how it played out was really cool. Plenty of new dialogue from Tali and everyone you can talk to at the Migrant Fleet and I can't wait to see if there are any consequences in Tali's behaviour in ME3! - Confessed feelings for Thane, helped an indentured quarian on Illium, then helped Miranda with her sister. Miranda shot Niket. - Helped Liara with some stuff on Illium and then she became the new Shadow Broker. Further Baddie kills: Elnora, krogan bodyguards when starting Garrus's LM (not a lot this time, boo!) Some pics I would have thought that having Garrus and Thane as a team most of the time would not work too well, but it does! I can stagger so many mooks thanks to always re-activating Tech Armor, it's quite fun! I still have trouble in some missions and weird stuff happens too, but overall it's really great. Unless squad mates start doing what they want again

- Helped Jack blow up her childhood home. Jack spared Aresh. Broke up the fight between Jack and Miranda afterwards. Did some more side questing involving geth and Blue Suns. - Went to see what Project Overlord was all about. Killed lots of geth and sent David to Grissom Academy. - Checked out a 10 year old shipwreck. Found Jacob's dad alive, only to leave him in the mess that he created. Good riddance. - Boarded a derelict Reaper and got the IFF. Took a geth and examined it, then helped Legion deal with some heretics on a server. It was safer for Lou to kill them. - The IFF got installed, and as a result, the whole crew except Joker was now abducted. Time to get them back and take the fight to the Collectors. - Spent some time with Thane, then went through the Omega 4 relay and hit the Collector base. Found the crew alive, sent Zaeed with them to the Normandy. Zaeed died heroically fending some enemies off while the crew got to safety. - Sent Legion into the shaft, Garrus led the second team (Lou was fed up with Jack's and Miranda's bickering, so she chose her best friend to lead the team to success). Mordin and Thane accompanied Lou. Samara created the bubble and a human Reaper was destroyed. Lou wanted to destroy the base, but was swayed to keep it in the end. No further casualties. Drank with Dr. Chakwas as some sort of small celebration. - Went to rescue Dr. Kenson, but ended up having to shoot her and smashed an asteroid into the Alpha relay. Some pics It was kinda strange that during the base keeping/destroying choice, Mordin spoke up to keep it (at least that's how I understood it), then he talked smack to me for actually keeping it Not sure if I understood him wrong at the Collector base, but I thought he made a valid point then Anyway, now it's done and Lou will have to deal with her decision later on. Thane's romance was better than I had expected, but overall could have benefited from more scenes. I also imported into ME3 right away (twice because I tried another hair style on Lou but decided to keep the old one then ) and landed on Mars!

I think i found a bug in ME3. I was doing the missions for Aria to bring the 3 gangs under her control.
I convinced Jona Sederis second to take over and then logged out. When i logged in again i didn´t get the call from Bailey that no one wants to get Jona out of prison and the mission is still open. I cannot talk to Aria, Bailey, Jona or Jona´s second about it

Didn't actually do anything for N7 day directly per se. But I did take the opprotunity to start watching Mapocolops's Lets Play of the Series which I was intending to do after he finished up with Dragon Age/ Inquisition so good time to do it. On the flip side spent way too much time just relaxing in a way I know, feeling a bit guilty but also wanting to take the time to relax today, but been going over a lot of memory lane kind of stuff. Been looking up a lot of my pics of my Shepard and re reading a lot of my logs back when I was doing that and a lot of my thoughts on the series. Just reallly going down memory lane with this whole process. Most apprepro though and sort of correcting a long standing missed opprotunity...though always awkward given how much I tend to talk about the character and missed opprotunities there of. But stumbled upon the conversation between me and fraggle where they found a purported cut dialogue between Shepard and Vega which codified their romance on Earth. And like I've complained about how BioWare treated them ad naseum, so again awkward, but also noticed that I didn't expand on my thoughts back then...and I took the opprotunity to actually copy that dialogue which pretty sure I didn't do. But missed opprotunities because I don't think I expanded on my thoughts either since that dialogue exchange was exactly what I was looking for, would've been so easy, and would've fixed like 80% of my issues with the 'romance'. Especially in context of Citadel. Don't expect them to get together per se given the circumstances but just that acknowledgement of mutual feelings coupled with James's general reservations being more then just him being a dangerous flirt would've been quite awesome to see. Ah well. On a more somber note I have also realized that 2023 I am pretty sure is the first year I have not played a single BioWare game or replayed one in a great many years for a lot of reasons I have discussed elsewhere but this is quite a sombering reminder of just where BioWare is right now and where I am as a gamer.

- Fled Earth, went to Mars, unearthed plans for a weapon. Rushed Ash to the hospital, raided a Cerberus lab, then went to Menae to pick up the turian Primarch and Garrus. EDI did some shenanigans while away. - Danced with Vega, then went back to the Citadel because Lou really wanted to see Thane again while she still could. Ash also was up and Lou helped a salarian Spectre and some other people while being there. Also met Kelly and got back fish. - Stole a living Prothean from Cerberus on Eden Prime, then rescued the students and Jack from Grissom Academy. - Held a summit, then went to Sur'Kesh to extract a female krogan. Got Mordin as a bonus. Returned to the Citadel, met more people and then met with Aria after uniting the merc groups. Helped her liberate Omega, because Lou would rather want her to rule Omega than Cerberus. Shot Oleg Petrovsky in the head. - Gained Leviathan's support for the war, then headed back to the Citadel once more. Yelled at Kelly for reporting stuff to TIM about Lou, which apparently led to Kelly's suicide. Whoops - Went to Tuchanka to help a Turian platoon, then defused a bomb to keep the peace. Also gained a krogan military installation for the war effort and drove Cerberus off-planet for good. Rescued civilians on Benning, then set out to cure the genophage. Happy Wrex, happy Eve. - Checked out the missing krogan squad and found rachni indeed. Gained the queen's support and Grunt is now recovering in the hospital. Some pics The Executioner really packs a punch! Never used it outside of Multiplayer and now I looove it in SP as well! Plus the name perfectly fits with Lou's character It was so cool to shoot Petrovsky, as Aria reacted to that accordingly I said it so many times before, but I truly love all these dialogue variations It's also the first time Kelly committed suicide

Not specifically today, but over the course of the past 3/4 days I've been reinstalling MELE, and then about a million and one mods and textures (Been that long since I last did it that I basically had to re-learn it all!). Finally ready to start and the POS EA app was conflicting with Steam, so that took another few hours to figure out and resolve. Got about an hour in and two of the mods decided they were going to conflict with each other so had to disable one of them, play the specific bit of the game, then re-enable it. Fun times....

It's nothing I've really done yet. It's something I'm currently planning. I'm planning on making my Shep Colonist/Ruthless, a dark, tragic synergy. I also want her to be more of a Renegon. I want the story to be more grim, without being completely devoid of hope. There will be more fatalities in each game. On regards to her Ruthless background, like to imagine that the attack on Torfan was a absolute massacre. Not only was she order to strike the base, but it was also a personal vendetta. A quest for vengeance. She wasted every Batarian she saw, with all the anger, hatred, and grief deep inside from the family and friends she's lost on Mindoir. The Alliance soldiers left alive saw a woman with death in her eyes, surrounded by mutilated Batarians. I want her to have that scary reputation, one she isn't completely happy about, but knows that it is what it is. The Batarians see her as the "Boogeyman," and others know who and what she is: "The Butcher Of Torfan." The last things the Batarians saw were the eyes of a human filled with pain, and hate. A terrifying apparition, with Hell in her wake... Let me put in into perspective. This may sound strange, but has anyone here seen the movie "The Patriot" starring Mel Gibson? If you have, remember that scene when his character saved his oldest son, who was held captive by the british soldiers, and maliciously killed the soldiers in the process, especially the last redcoat? There's another seen when he tells his oldest the a horrifying event which took place back in the French And Indian War. If you have seen the movie, you know which scenes I'm talking about. Those scenes and the music which play in those scenes match how I envision what happened on Torfan.
This new "Cut" of the trilogy is planned to be the definitive scenario for me. Some of the changes include:
-Shepard will be born & raised on Mindoir, and she will later be known throughout the Galaxy as the "Butcher Of Torfan." -Shepard will be more Renegon. She will be more aggressive, mostly towards her enemies & those who annoy her, as if Sarah Connor and John McClane had a kid, and her uncle was Rambo. -Garrus will kill Dr. Saleon -Shepard will shit down Jeong, Corporal Toombs, and probably Rana Thanoptis, as well as execute the indoctrinated Salarians. -Ashley will on Virmire -The Council will die. -Major Kyle and his cult will perish. -Both Besieged Base (with casualties) and The Negotiation will be completed, with Darius ending up dead. Balak will be killed.
-More Renegade interrupts and intimidation in ME2. -Garrus kills Sidonis -Miranda kills Niket -Mordin kills Maelon -Jacob, Kasumi, Zaeed, and Miranda will die in the Suicide Mission.
-More Renegade interrupts and intimidation in ME3 -Shepard shoots Kaidan down in the Citadel Coup. -Omega will be in the Renegade Path. -Shepard will punch Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani (Westerlund News) in ME2 & ME3 Shep will just walk away from the interview in ME1. I like the way al-Jilani calls her a bitch in ME2, and I want this sort of evolution in the Trilogy: She walks away in ME1, then punches her in ME2, and finally knocks her out in ME3.
PS: I might keep my Shep's name a mystery, and instead put "Cmdr." (which is an abbreviation for Commander) in place of the first name.

I started a MELE playthrougth a few days ago and I already restarted my original plan last night. Kyra Shepard, Sentinel (used to be an Infiltrator) and a ruthless earthborn who isn't super pro-human. She's just " don't get in my way" and " no matter the cost, I'll get the job done". I play paragon 99% of the time, so I hope I can endure the hard(jerk)ass behavior of Renegade all the way. Since I restarted, I'm back on Eden Prime, the previous Infiltrator was a SPECTER, so a few hours to catch-up to. I haven't planned ME2/ME3 ahead yet, I'll go with the flow...

Last night I helped my girl Aria retake Omega. She brings out the worst in me, my paragon Shepard went full renegade for that mission. Bad news for Petrovsky, he DEFINITELY won't be a problem....ever again! Aria sent me Petrovsky's chessboard after the mission so Traynor and I enjoyed using it. Thanks to the mods you CAN actually use it now, a definite miss in the vanilla game. Also helped Samara at the Ardat Yakshi monastery, and helped Tali take down the Geth dreadnaught. Great to have Legion and Tali onboard again. Gut-punching Han'Gerrel also felt incredibly satisfying!

Last night was all about Rannoch.
After rescuing Admiral Koris, and knocking out the Geth servers it was time to put Tali and the Quarians back on Rannoch. Permanently.
It was great to have amassed enough rep points to be able to broker peace so that the Geth survived, but gutted to lose Legion who sacrificed himself for his people. Bagging both the Quarian and Geth fleets just about puts my war assets over the top on the readiness scale, so hurtling towards the end of the game now, albeit with some chunky missions still to complete. Just been recalled to the Citadel for secret talks with the Asari Ambassador.....

Finished off ME3 over the past week: - Secured a Cerberus fighter base on Noveria. Then went to the Citadel to see what Udina was up to. Ended up shooting him. Said goodbye to Thane. Ashley joined the fight again. - Did some more stuff on the Citadel: helped a salarian film maker, struck a deal with Tactus, ran into Conrad. Executed a Cerberus informant, rescued Din Korlack and got the name of the turian colony about to be raided. - Spoke to the quarians, helped them retake their homeworld, and the geth are supporting them now. - Helped liberate a fuel depot from Reaper forces, then picked up some ex-Cerberus including Jacob. Gavin Archer didn't make it as Lou denied him info about his brother - Purged an Ardat-Yakshi monastery, stopped Samara from committing suicide, then delivered some stuff on the Citadel and spoke to the asari Councilor. Shot Balak when he showed up. Went to Thessia, lost to Kai Leng. - Liberated a comm hub, then found out what Sanctuary was all about. Miranda killed her father and lived to tell the tale. - Defeated a clone, shot Brooks, and met up with everyone still alive. Threw a quiet party. (Still laughing like an idiot at some parts.) - Raided the Cerberus HQ and killed off Kai Leng. For Thane, you bastard. - Finally made it back to Earth, pushed through London, shot The Illusive Man and saved the galaxy minus the geth and EDI by shooting a red tube. Major headcanon Lou stayed with the Alliance and kept her Spectre status, commanding the Normandy including any of the old crew who wanted to stay. She worked closely with Commander Bailey, fighting crime with Garrus as her partner wherever their leads would take them, forging an unbreakable bond throughout the years. Various sources say the two of them started dating at some point. Lou never forgot Thane, but Thane had Irikah in the afterlife, and Lou's time was not up yet. She always did look forward to the day though when she would meet him across the sea. Some final pics I was SO surprised that I could broker peace between the quarians and the geth. I technically only had 4 points from the mechanics explanation of the Rannoch arc from the wiki, and I already figured having presented the evidence on Tali's trial and making her unloyal, that I would not be able to broker peace (since I also didn't get the argument scene between Tali and Legion in ME2). Big surprise. So maybe something else also factored in. Also, Tali being mad at me for presenting the evidence turned out as a nice little scene in ME3 as well. Love all these discoveries! I wanted to pick Synthesis with this Shepard initially, but it became apparent that it would not really fit her after all, so I changed my mind. And with that, my next Shepard is already around the corner

Kyra Shepard is still working on saving the Galaxy in Mass Effect 1. Playing the game actually makes me miss the combat gameplay improvements from the later game. Also, Nomad >>>> Mako.
Anyhow, she saved Liara and some thing started between the two. She also mostly saved the colonists on Feros (I didn't realize I picked up some more grenades, sorry the few that died) and destroyed their captors. Now on Virmire preparing the assault on Saren's base.

Started my new Shepard on Insanity this weekend His name is Kassim Shepard, Earthborn, Ruthless. Soldier class, using ARs (Mattock from ME2 on) with Cryo Ammo and Concussive Shot later on. It's been some time since I first did Kaidan's M/M romance and I was in the mood to do so again now. He'll be a bit of a moral compass to Kassim, who struggles with his violent upbringing. This time I'm doing some tiny story bits here and there, might be fun to do. Background story for those interested Kassim ran with his gang for a large part of his youth, learning the ropes of street life, hardening and toughening up in the process. His biggest skill was pressuring people into getting what he wanted, his slightly older partner in crime always backing him. His friend. It only took one mistake. One night out in a bar they both got really drunk and high on red sand. When his friend leaned over to him in a moment of jokes and laughter, Kassim kissed him. His worst misjudgement. One he would dearly pay for. His friend was appalled and stormed out the bar, only to return later with another gang member to intercept Kassim on his way home. His gang mates weren't kind. They beat Kassim up so badly he spent several weeks in the hospital. On his chest, the word "sissy" carved in as a constant reminder of his misstep. At least until he used his knife on himself to obliterate it. After his physical wounds had healed, Kassim decided to turn his life around by joining the Alliance. He was hoping to find a better place for himself, to be a better man, have a better life. But old habits die hard. He didn't revel in the violence, but it had been part of him since he had been a little kid. Raised to be this. It was hard to get away from it, but it was also helping him to become one of the best damn soldiers the Alliance had ever seen. A man finishing the job he was tasked to do, leading to a massacre on Torfan years later...
Eden Prime, Train Station:"Commander. It's Nihlus." My head turns as Kaidan's voice fades away, my eyes focusing on the turian body further ahead. First a geth ambush, then strangely glowing creatures coming off spikes just to attack anything that moves, a giant spaceship heading off, now this. What the hell is going on here? Citadel, Tower:Anderson smiles faintly with a hint of pride at me as I step up to the railing. The Councillors' grave words echo through the large hall, announcing me becoming a Spectre. Me. I have faith in my skills, but this is quickly becoming a bigger problem for all of us. The Reapers... what are they? I need to find out. And finding Saren will lead me to it. Brace yourself, asshole, we're coming for you. Trebin, Excavation site:I press the button on the door leading to a cavity, my pulse still accelerated from the fight seconds ago. I see familiar spikes. All those things we killed were people once. It still feels surreal. What kind of technology could even do such a thing? I won't have answers now, but either way, I feel these monsters are better off dead. Edolus, Transmitter site:My eyes sweep over the bodies, broken and mangled on the ground. Torfan pops into my mind, but Tali and Kaidan rip me out of my thoughts. Kaidan telling me those are Admiral Kahoku's men and he needs to know. Yeah... he will. Pics Contemplating whether I'll continue to run with Tali besides Kaidan, I just love her skill set so much in ME1 Guess we'll see!

Kyra Shepard has defeated Saren, Sovereign and their Geths and saved Citadel Space!
She also saved the Council and named Anderson the new council member because "nobody stab me in the back, nobody". I wish we could space Udina...
This was a smooth Renegon run. I will probably move on to ME2 in a few days. I looking at mods...which I totally skipped with ME1.

I tried ME1:LE on the steam deck yesterday. It runs pretty smooth at 60FPS but every now and then, it stutters really hard (like basically stops for half a second or so), which also messes with dialogue and cutscene synch (cuts off lines and scenes and such). Also this happens pretty consistently when I switch characters in the inventory. Probably because the new model needs to be loaded. I am thinking this might be because I installed it on the SD card instead of the internal SSD perhaps? I'll try to move it tonight and see if that fixes it. Has anyone here tried MELE on the deck? If so, I'd be interested what the experience has been. Edit: Moving it to the internal drive seems to have fixed it. Now it runs perfectly.

Therum, Prothean Dig site:I order my team into cover, Tali hacking the geth on the left side to provide us a few valuable seconds to exploit the chaos sewn among the enemy. I did not come this far to return empty-handed. That asari might be valuable. Presrop, Biotic compound:I stare intently at my former CO from Torfan, agreeing to give him an hour with his people. I'm not sure how he feels about seeing me again, but I know I see a broken man having found something to cope with his life, only to lose it again. There's an uncomfortable feeling rising in my chest, something I haven't felt in a long time. I push away my thoughts and focus on what lies ahead. Do the things I have to do. Binthu, Cerberus facility:I kneel down and check Admiral Kahoku's pulse. I know it's too late before I even touch his neck. Dead. But not killed by those weird creatures he was locked in with. Strange needle marks on his arm... Damn, what hornet's nest did you kick? Agebinium, Mine exit:We scope out the surroundings from above, and I spy the Mako down in their camp. Brought it here because you think you killed us, you little shit? I signal Tali and Kaidan to follow the slope down, out of sight of Haliat's people, and hijack the Mako. They won't know what hit them. Eletania, near Prothean ruin:"Alenko, I swear, if we don't find anything there, I'll--" I throw an irritated look at the man in the seat next to me as he interrupts me. "The scanner picked up something. Just go slowly, Commander. It'll be fine." I scoff. Easy for you to say. You don't have to navigate the steep mountains of this crazy planet. One wrong move and you won't ever land where you planned to. Fucking Eletania, man... Pics Sorry for the major headcanon in the last part When driving around in the Mako I often imagine how awesome it would be if we had squad banter all the time I'm using more Photo mode in this run than in the few MELE runs before, it's really fun!

Feros, Zhu's Hope:"I fought so hard, but any thought of my own caused so much pain." Martinez' words stay with me as we leave the colony. It's hard to imagine what these people went through, being controlled by something else. To be a slave, but be awake to feel every single second of it. I am glad the Thorian is gone. This is some freaky shit. And Saren's ship is capable of doing the same according to Shiala. We need to bring them down. We have to. I look over to Kaidan, who appears to be deep in his own thoughts as well. No one says a word. I always imagined space to be dangerous of course, but adventurous above all. Now I wonder what other dangers lurk in the deep corners of the galaxy, just waiting for their prey. I will not stand by and let this happen. MSV Fedele, Back room:Dr. Saleon drops to the floor. Dr. Heart, or whatever. Dead is dead. Damn asshole. I thought I had done some bad shit in my life, but ever since I set foot on the Normandy, the craziness has upped immensely. At least now there's one less problem in the world. Ontarom, Plateau:We follow the scanning signal to a nearby mineral deposit. Behind me, an electrical storm is raging. In front of me, the moon of the planet looks like it's within my grasp. It's breathtaking, and I enjoy a moment of calm before we proceed. Forget about Toombs and the scientist. Looks like Tali and Kaidan appreciate the view as well. These two seem to keep me sane in a time like this. I enjoy their company, their kind-hearted nature. They are nothing like me, and yet we work so well together... I feel like it just fits. Chasca, Colony structure:Husks drop like flies as we riddle them with slugs. Those things again. People. Colonists, just trying to find a better life. It makes me angry. Two more come from the small entrance by the stairs. I put a projectile in the first one's head while Kaidan and Tali take down the other. The sound of the last shot fades. Then silence. Fuck all of this. Fuck. Nodacrux, Mineral deposit:You've got to be kidding me. I stare up at the mountain we came down from, confirming my fear it would be too steep to make it back up. I sigh. Tali chimes in she might have spotted a way behind us. Worth a shot. We have to get to the source of that distress call. Asteroid X57, Main facility:I shoot Balak, enough to wound him severely, but not enough to kill him. I would watch him bleed out, but I have no time for that. As I turn around I see Kaidan looking at me. I evade his gaze, frustrated he has to see this side of me. But I am what I am, and so far, he accepts that. I just hope it will stay this way. Citadel, Chora's Den:I watch the disappointed turian walk away. Yeah, I could have shot Finch. Perhaps I should have. He was an asshole. But he is not worth it causing a scene in here. He was not even worth my time. Damn, I just want to forget anything to do with the Reds. Pics I should have done Feros later, so I would not have to shoot Jeong (with most Shepards I don't really care, but here it would have fit more with the persuasion). Buuut either way he won't be missed I also thought I'd shoot Shiala and have some casualties among the colonists. Let's just say I'm more Paragon by now than I had anticipated I'm still running around in a Lv. III light armor, just because I love the look of it I hope I can find one that is Lv. IX or X soon! I also have the ladies fight over me again, it's sooo annoying every time. And I might have walked into Liara's ninjamancing picking a Renegade option... but let's see.

Noveria, Secure Lab:I tell the rachni queen she is as good as dead. Kaidan pleads for her life, throws in the word genocide. I listen to what he has to say. And I do value his input. Damn it. I feel my resolve fading, and I take a deep breath. Fine. Damn you, LT... I hesitate briefly before I press the button. If I ever see her again in Council Space or she pulls some shit, she's dead. All that's left now is dealing with her children. Amaranthine, Engineering Outpost:I threaten Helena Blake to kill her if she doesn't disband her group. I give her a chance to get away with her life, and she agrees to my terms. Sometimes it's hard to believe that the Reds raising me actually avoids bloodshed at times. Metgos, Transponder Signal:"Commander, we're hit!" Kaidan's frantic voice had barely faded away when the Mako's cannon blasts the last geth into oblivion. "I got this." Tuntau, Pirate Base:Wrex throws a warp at Tonn Actus and staggers him. This isn't even a fair fight anymore. It's like playing with a balloon. Kaidan lifts him and we finish him off. Then the sound of a limp body dropping onto the floor. Biotics are definitely impressive. Citadel, Tower:"But sometimes I think having false hope is better than no hope at all." I guess this Garoth guy is right, though I usually do not like to keep my hopes up. Anything can go wrong. But now... I do hope we find Saren, and soon. Only one last lead... No. We'll find him. We have to. Altahe, Listening Post:I shoot anything that looks pod-like... Rachni again. I question my decision to let the queen go. I hope it was not a mistake we'll all pay for. At least we have eradicated the rachni in this cluster now. Their origin supposedly in the Argos Rho cluster... Who the hell is responsible for this shit? Maji, Odd Skull:"Shepard, what do you suppose this skull once was?" I look over to Tali. "Don't know, and can't say I really care. We likely will never know. Come on, we still have to finish off two more geth outposts." Pic spam this time Still no luck with a high level Hydra Light Armor. I actually thought I would not make it on Insanity whenever rachni were involved, but I even survived the Hot Labs, thank goodness! I'm a squishy soldier this time I am so excited for Virmire and the end game now! I can't understand why this game keeps me still so invested after playing it so many times already

Virmire, Salarian Camp:I stare down at the krogan body in disbelief about what just happened. What the hell. I was so sure I'd be able to talk Wrex down. Now we lost an ally, and I actually liked him. The krogan suffered a tough fate and I might not have opposed a cure, but not like this. Not for an army for Saren. Kaidan appears next to me. He asks if I'm alright. Not really. It's comforting he's here. He agrees with Ashley it was better losing Wrex than losing me. Sure, I play an important part in this and I am close to finding Saren, and... we still have a mission to complete. I regain my composure, ready to go on. Virmire, Lab:"What did they do to you, soldier?" My voice comes out thinner than usual, appalled by what we're finding here. The salarian tells me about the experiments done on him, then snaps a few seconds later, banging his head against his cell door, while his comrades remain in a vegetative state in the other cells. They're completely gone. This is much worse than being dead, it's cruel. If only Saren's henchmen had just killed them... I won't ever be a slave to these shitheads. Normandy, Crew quarters:I try to make Kaidan feel better about what happened on Virmire. He is caring. He is a sweet and genuine man and I am glad we met. Became... friends I suppose, being able to rely on each other on and off the battlefield. I would ask him to join me for a drink in honour of Ashley, but we're on duty and we need to be as ready as we can. I tell him we will mourn her later. She did her duty, and it was a respectable death. She will be remembered as a hero. But now we have to deal with Saren. Nonuel, Warlord's Outpost:I tell Darius to stuff it and we start shooting at these assholes. I don't have time to try and negotiate with him, I need to go after Saren. Damn you, Hackett... We plough through the warlord's men, leaving behind a trail of corpses. The galaxy surely won't miss them. Citadel, Control Terminal:Tali argues the Council is not as important as concentrating on Sovereign, Kaidan chimes in that this is bigger than humanity. They're like angel and devil on my shoulder and I have to make a decision. Tali has a point, Sovereign is here now, a threat. But in the long run, we cannot beat the Reapers alone. We need allies, lots of them. We need the stability the Council brings, the familiar faces that people hopefully will follow. I know well that I will send good soldiers to their deaths now to save the Ascension, but that's how it has to be. I can't just throw the galaxy into chaos while we need to prepare. I tell Joker I'm opening the relay for them. Citadel, Tower:I climb over the rubble and look up. I see Anderson, Tali, and Kaidan, smiling at me. I smile back. We made it. It's only a small step in comparison to what's about to come, but it's a start. For now, I revel in this moment of joy. Of being reunited with some of the people dearest to me... Pics Yeees, I was not ninjamanced by Liara And I finally played the Renegade quest for the first time! It was a lot of work though and such a hassle I initially wanted to let Ash shoot Wrex so I can be mad at her, and I played through all of Virmire until leaving the Citadel again for Ilos. Unfortunately I was a few Renegade points short for the trigger of this quest. I then tried 3 or 4 more variations with more Renegadey answers on Virmire (like triggering the alarm on Kirrahe's end) because not a lot of points were missing. In the end, nothing worked and I had wasted some hours on it... I then contemplated to collect the Renegade points when shooting Wrex and still pretend Ashley did it, which would have sucked. BUUUUUT everything worked out much better. If Shepard shoots Wrex, Kaidan will ask if he is alright, and going through the Paragon route of this dialogue was really awesome, couldn't have fit better for Kassim. I should have tried this option out before. I would likely have taken that route immediately and not waste a couple hours on this Yep, I fuss too much over my characters, haha. But it has been very rewarding in the end and all falls into place with what I have planned for ME2 and 3.
