Mark Shepard:
Aite, Prometheus Station: Oh, joy. This station is a crashed geth ship. It's also set to target the tissue paper armor of the Hammerhead. Dodging in this thing while letting the geth cannon take out its own defenses takes some work. Wish I had a real pilot with me.
Inside, the first thing I notice is the geth prime suspended in some kind of energy field. I just know this thing is gonna come after me later.
The VI keeps squawking at me. Now that I know there's a human in the mix I'm more convinced than ever that it's saying "please help". Later, the image looked a lot like a man image and said "please make it stop". This is Cerberus so I suspect David "volunteering" has a different meaning to me than it does to them. I found my way to the override switch for Atlas Station. That led to VI "outrage" and all the dormant geth I'd passed along the way suddenly coming to life. Just in case you were wondering, I did have to take out that geth prime.
Aite, Vulcan Station: Have to hop over lots of rivers of lava to get there. Wish this was an actual shuttle rather than a hover craft. It'd be real easy to zoom to my destination rather than have to repeatedly apply a combination of horizontal and vertical thrusters. Annoying.
The station itself has LOKI mechs instead of geth but given the way the geth were controlled it's basically the same thing. Also, a YMIR mech but I toppled that thing off a guardrail using a biotic charge. There was one last mech trying to wreck the Atlas Station override. This one glowed green until Tali and Mordin shot off its arms. Then the glow subsided and it ran. Unlike other infected VIs I'd encountered, this one didn't try to explode. Still, I shot it's head off for good measure.
Aite, Atlas Station: Finally able to enter the facility where the rogue VI/Archer's brother are located. Archer said that the VI was trying to upload its program directly from Atlas Station so I was going to have to stop it there. A log of Archer's also mentioned something interesting. Remember when I questioned what "volunteer" might mean to Cerberus? Turns out David Archer is autistic. The odds that he could legally consent to volunteer are slim.
Dr. Archer, fearing the facility would be shut down without results, plugged David directly into the geth network. I'm not rocket scientist but I doubt the human mind was meant to interface directly in this way. Geth don't think like humans. Based on logs David is continuing to play to me, Archer knew there was a chance David's mind could be harmed.
When I reached the VI control console, I knew throwing the switch might make anything happen. My mind was pulled into the geth network. In there, I could finally make sense of the VI/David. It was definitely asking me to "make it stop". Video logs I was seeing showed that David could communicate with the geth. Archer decided to plug David into their network. When another lab technician asked if it was safe, Archer said "I see no harm in finding out". Is his brother that disposable that he literally doesn't care if his autistic brother is harmed? Really feel bad for this kid. Have to find a way to save him.
When I got to the core, Archer kept trying to connect to David. David was trying to establish a link with the Normandy. He said "David doesn't want to be here." If I'm interpreting this right, he simply wants to escape and is trying to do it the only way he knows how. Poor kid. Still, can't let him upload to the Normandy. He's too unstable.
Once he was stopped, and all the tech interfaces were stripped away, I saw David. He was suspended in the air, two large metal tubes down his throat and with his eyes forced to remain open. This was nothing short of torture. When Archer showed up he tried to defend what he'd done but I made him realize otherwise. He wanted to care for his brother but I wasn't having it. This asshole was going nowhere near his brother again. My contacts with Hackett could help me get him somewhere safe. With his mind he might be okay at Grissom Academy. They'd use him for his talents but at least he really would be taken care of. Asshole actually took a shot at me and said David was "too valuable" to take. I punched him in the face. I knew he wasn't trustworthy. Bet David would have died without my intervention.
Illium: Helped a quarian who sold herself into indentured servitude get a job. I had to basically blackmail someone for it to happen but it worked. Tali even threatened to park the Migrant Fleet over Illium in protest!
Liara told me she was the one who was responsible for recovering my body and getting me to Cerberus. She only sent my body to them because they said they could bring me back. Interesting. [The whole Nyxeris thing got skipped somehow. Second glitch of this nature in this playthrough.] Heading to Liara's apartment to plot our next move in tracking down the Shadow Broker.
When I got there, there was no sign of Liara. There were cops and another Spectre named Tela Vasir. Someone had tried to kill Liara but she had escaped. And it looked like she left a clue behind for me to track her. Found a disc that said she was going to Barria Frontiers for a lead on the Shadow Broker.

Filed under: Personal I can't go into much detail, but the justicar came back from pursuing her daughter a little differently. Problem solved. Just not exactly as I expected. It will be very interesting to see how Samara develops. Krios's son is fine as well, as I successfully stopped him from assassinating a turian politician. This C-Sec captain Bailey did a lot to help, and even though he is corrupt, I appreciated what he has done. Having a helping hand at C-Sec doesn't sound too bad... Things with Jacob are finally in motion. Obviously, I noticed how he sometimes glances over to me, how his eyes wander my body. He'll get what he wants. And I got him right where I wanted. Surprisingly, this all excites me very much. Mr. Taylor certainly is an interesting man to engage with. I will see what I can dig up about Cerberus, about their structure, how they operate, where their boss hides. When this is over and I am still alive, Anderson will want to hear it all. I want to crush Cerberus. Their intentions with the colonists might be good, but I can't help but wonder if the Illusive Man doesn't have some entirely different agenda. He's a smart man, I have to give him that. But I am smarter. Mostly Jacob-related pics, forgive me Oh my... yep, I picked Morinth. I actually had a high enough Renegade score to resist her, and so it all happened Jacob's romance dialogues couldn't be better with a character like Neva. She's so bitchy and playful and it all fits wonderfully. I shouldn't be too excited about the romance parts in this game, but they are so great with certain characters And haha, despite things going well with Jacob, Kasumi said he and Shep 'were' a great couple and that she might try something herself. It seems like it's a common glitch

Is it just going to black after the first intro. Is so, try going into the ME2 Importer file. See if there is a Saved Game file still sitting inside the importer. If there is, try deleting that saved file and trying the import again. My importer does this whenever I import a file and then don't fully complete the Lazarus mission before trying to import another file. It seems the save file stays in the importer until after the Lazarus mission and then gets transfered out of it... and with a save file already in the importer, it won't start another import.

Ash called out my Shep, she knew about Miranda, that lil argument was great. Also dealt with a cray cray Hanar, talked to the squad members scattered around the Citadel and went to see Aria. Also I gotta say, it feels really bizarre dealing with this replacement Council, prefer the original. Main mission time, called the summit of the Krogan/Turian and Salarians, started the Sur'Kesh rescue, Wrex already knew I destroyed Maelon's data, yeah, it's real frosty between us right now. My canon Shep would never do this, Wrex forgive me.

So, managed some things recently that i've never done before (back with Jenna Shepard, the Vanguard of somebody's destruction, this time returning to Kaidan's arms after a brief thing with Garrus, and loving it.)
Beat Jacob at Shattered Eezo. Mwhahahaha! He seemed so upset.
Watched Thane's messages after the funeral/wake/memorial thing. Kolyat's always mentioned he sent some but i've always looked on the terminal because i assumed they were attached to emails. Turns out they were on the TV email instead...baffling. Also made a better job of the Thessia mission this time around and yes Kaidan is as "called it, Prothean", as Ashley is, if not as sarcastic as Javik.

Miriam Shepard helped Aria... Flew to the Benning colony in the Arcturus Stream to investigate reports of Cerberus abductions; landed in a prefab slum with Garrus and Liara. Found the place crawling with Cerberus troops; neutralized them to allow civilians to escape to safety. Recovered the identity tags of Bilal Osoba, Alliance marine whose squad perished in the attack on the colony. Ordered the ship to Sanctum in Sigurd's Cradle to recover Reaper artefacts from a Cerberus lab. To confuse the guards, equipped Cerberus armour and a Harrier rifle, both obtained from Liara's broker contacts. Infiltrated the lab with EDI and James; recovered artefacts and also an advanced medi-gel formula. Returned to the Citadel via Tuchanka to neutralize a Cerberus unit that had taken control of a surface-to-air cannon. Took Garrus and Liara to assist. Secured cannon and obtained schematics of power system. At the Citadel, used Spectre credentials to authorize use of Citadel training facilities for Grissom Academy students. Returned Bilal Osoba's identity tags to his father. Took medical supplies obtained on various missions to doctors and scientists in Huerta Memorial hospital, and gave the power system schematics to an Alliance technician. Met up with Aria T'Loak, who promised Omega's resources to the war effort in exchange for assistance with retaking the station. Joined Aria aboard her command vessel; flew to the Omega Nebula. En route, learned that station was being held by Cerberus general Oleg Petrovsky. Arrived at Omega; frontal assault failed due to Cerberus upgrades of Omega's defences. Evacuated command vessel; entered station via escape pod. Recaptured station defence control in the face of moderate Cerberus resistance; disabled defences to allow Aria's fleet to dock at the station. Proceeded to Aria's bunker; forced to take scenic route due to Cerberus force-fields blocking major routes. Neutralized waves of light Cerberus "Rampart" mechs (upgraded LOKI units). Made contact with anti-Cerberus resistance organized by Talon mercenary band; smaller outfit than Blue Suns etc., former street gang reformed into effective resistance by turian biotic soldier Nyreen Kandros, ex-lover of Aria's. Assisted with repulse of Cerberus assault on Talon base; secured Talon assistance with retaking station. Cerberus resistance included "Phantom" biotic ninjas; so, that's what they intended to do to the Grissom Academy students. Determined Cerberus force fields being powered by reactor in eezo mines. Infiltrated mines with Aria and Nyreen; encountered "Adjutant" Reaper entities; no resemblance to any known race but passing resemblance to statues on Ilos. Learned from Aria and Nyreen that Cerberus obtained tech to create Adjutants from beyond Omega-4 relay and had intended to use them as weapons, until they got loose and started killing their guys. Located reactor; discovered that Cerberus tapped power network supplying civilian habitats; reactor overload would cause massive collateral damage. Rerouted power instead, disabling force fields with no risk to civilians. With the force fields down, Omega civilians commenced mass revolt. Nyreen headed off to assist them. Proceeded to Afterlife with Aria to confront Petrovsky. En route, disabled bombs planted by Cerberus, and found video evidence of Cerberus' incompetent plot to create an Adjutant army. On arrival at Afterlife, witnessed Nyreen lose her life defending civilians from multiple Adjutants. Entered Afterlife with Aria. Neutralized Adjutants and Cerberus troops guarding Petrovsky, who surrendered without protest, promising to cooperate with Alliance interrogators. Aria restrained herself from killing him; delivered him into Alliance custody. [Since I had already installed the alternate appearance pack, I decided to use the Ajax armour for the Sanctum mission, it seemed to fit thematically. I quite like the general look of it; if it weren't for the Cerberus logos, it might have been Miriam's default armour in this playthrough. Having struggled with Grissom Academy, I was expecting this one to be just as tough, especially the Afterlife battle, but it turned out to be surprisingly easy. I died in a few places of course because I am not very good at this game; but derpitude aside, it didn't feel especially difficult. Lots of opportunity for vanguarding, too; I played it safe when there were turrets or just large numbers of baddies; but in general it was very much a Charge-all-the-things mission. The reactor battle with the mechs and the Afterlife battle were pretty much all vanguarding; in the last battle, I was living on shield-gate, seemed like something dropped my barriers about a second after each Charge. Also, this was the first time I remembered that I don't need a piercing sidearm to deal with Guardians because I have Pull I've been so focused on my incendiary/Charge or incendiary/Shockwave firesplosion playstyle that I completely forgot about Pull. Having played the entire mission as full Paragon, Aria needed no persuasion to spare Petrovsky. We'll make a Paragade/Renegon out of the pirate queen yet Shame that the Adjutants never made it into multiplayer, they'd have been a nice addition to the later waves of Reaper games.]

Filed under: Personal Well, well, well. Ever since getting the IFF from the derelict Reaper, things have gotten even crazier. A geth helped Jacob, Lawson and me on the Reaper, shooting husks with a sniper rifle. It knew my name. We could salvage it after we blew up the Reaper's mass effect core and brought it aboard the Normandy. Risky, but I was curious, because it knew me and wore a piece of N7 armor. I had to find out more. And now this geth platform is our ally. It told me the geth we fought two years ago were heretics, geth that followed the Reapers. The 'normal' geth allowed it. Stupid idea, but what's done is done. Luckily we could destroy the heretics after that geth gave us the coordinates of their space station. I was suspicious of it, just waiting for it to turn on Jacob and me, but it never did. It actually wants to be of assistance. Even typing this it sounds ridiculous... Either way, from what it looks like the IFF is ready soon enough and we can finally finish this. Just waiting for this damned AI to tell me that it's done. Pics! Managed to do the Reaper IFF mission without any casualties, but Legion's LM was hell. No squadmates that could strip shields... quite the experience I died 4 times overall, 3 were at the end in that room with all the turrets. Legion's hacking was of some assistance at least

I don't think you can import an incomplete ME1 into ME2. But you also need to run the configuration tool (for ME1, I think) in order to get the save games to show up properly for import.

AFAIK, you must complete your ME1 game so that the credits start to roll in order to import it. I play on an Xbox 360, so I'm not aware of having to run a configuration tool; but I can certainly believe what melbella says it true on the PC. On the Xbox, the ME1 to ME2 importer works quite a bit differently than the ME2 to ME3 importer in that it takes you to a list of any of the ME1 games your profile has ever completed and you can import those even after you delete the ME1 saved game files from the Xbox's hard drive. The ME2 to ME3 importer takes you back into your saved game file, so that if you delete that file, you can no longer import that Shepard into ME3.

Mark Shepard:
Illium: As soon as I arrived at the building where Liara had gone to I witnessed three floors of it exploding. Someone seriously wanted Liara dead. Vasir decided to approach from the top while I worked my way up. Curiously, there were no alarms going off and neither police nor rescue squads were in evidence. A dying employee said mercs showed up, started killing and set the bombs. No idea who was behind them.
I made my way up to the Barria Frontiers office. I heard a shot from inside. When I went inside I saw Vasir killing a merc. Liara's contact was also dead. Then Liara showed up, accusing Vasir of attempting to kill her. Vasir didn't like the accusations and attacked us. Then she ran. We pursued in a skycar, dodging trucks, oncoming traffic and proximity mines. Eventually we caught up with Vasir and forced her to crash land on a rooftop.
The fight that followed was one of the toughest. I think only Saren was this hard and that was with his Reaper implants. It took the combined might of Liara, myself and Samara to put her down. She said she wasn't a traitor to the Council (though accused me of same for working with Cerberus) and did jobs for the Shadow Broker because his intel helped her save lots of lives. It's a gray area but maybe more on the dark side. I didn't agree with her assessment of me since I didn't engage in terrorist operations. My sole objective was getting my crew prepared to fight the Collectors. She, on the other hand, killed people for the Shadow Broker. I remember telling Dr. Archer that the Illusive Man could fire me if he didn't like that I took David to the Alliance for care. If she had been willing to take similar stances with the Shadow Broker we might not be in this predicament.
Hagalaz, Shadow Broker's Ship: Hagalaz is a garden world but it's atmosphere is very stormy. The ship floats hidden above the storm clouds. Liara, Garrus and I fought mechs and mercs on the outside. Then we found some crazy lock that took several minutes to hack. Meanwhile, we had to fight off lots of enemies. Plus side is I got to throw some bad guys over the rails and right into those electrical storms.
Inside, we faced more mercs. All of his mercs have been good with one thing and it's the flashbang grenades. I really hate those things. Anyway, we found Liara's agent, Feron, who was being held by the Shadow Broker. He was locked into a device that could only be safely released by a control near the Shadow Broker himself. Good. We were gonna take the bastard down anyway.
When we got to the office we saw a creature like nothing I'd ever seen before. It was enormous, larger than a krogan. It had two horns and some web-like fins on its head. It had made a deal with the Collectors and my being there made it happy. It could turn me in to them for a bounty. And Garrus, as well, since the Archangel bounty was still active.
Liara threw out some facts about the Shadow Broker that it didn't like, including its pre-flight homeworld, how it got away, and how it became the Shadow Broker. It didn't like that and attacked. Had some crazy shields that kept away projectiles and energy but not my fists. Didn't love hand-to-hand with a thing that's at least 2.5 meters tall but I didn't back down. Then again, I have headbutted a krogan so I'm not shy against monster-size. And I threatened a Reaper to its face.
Liara cooked up a plan to take this thing down and it was a success. The Shadow Broker died. Then all these calls came in from agents. Liara, knowing that the Shadow Broker used a voice distorter, took a chance and answered. And just like that we had a new Shadow Broker. Feron had heard the Broker and ran into the room only to see what had happened. I wasn't sure this was a good idea but Liara had to choose her own path. I also know that recovering my body was what put her on this path so maybe there was something to be gained.
Normandy SR-2: Invited Liara for a visit. She was spending too much time in front of terminals and data pads. She needed a break. We shared some wine and she gave me my old tags, a gift courtesy of Admiral Hackett. It helped. Made me feel more like an Alliance man.

Filed under: Personal Still alive, but a lot has changed. The Normandy is very quiet. I knew chances of us surviving were slim, but I had confidence. After we successfully went through the Omega 4 relay, we crash-landed on the Collector ship. We were able to save the crew that had been abducted by the Collectors, but I couldn't afford to send someone with them. We had already lost Jack, Goto and Krios by then. Dr. Chakwas shook my hand and said she'd hope we meet again. Guess that's out of the window. We then lost Vakarian and Massani, but in the end, all these deaths counted for something. The Collectors were building a human-looking Reaper with the abducted colonists, and Jacob, Lawson and I took that thing down. I was just about to blow up the Collector base when the Illusive Man chimed in and tried to convince me to keep the base, use their technology against the Reapers. Even if he is right and it could help us in the fight against the Reapers, this was exactly what I had suspected. This man does have his own agenda and I did not want to give him this advantage. I could not leave the base in his hands. Lawson surprised me. She quit Cerberus on the spot. Smart woman. I actually started to like her. The human Reaper came back after that, but we managed, and now it's officially done. We reached the Normandy in time, and after talking to what's left of my crew, I enjoyed another night with Jacob. We are now on the way to the Bahak system, since Hackett had requested my help with his friend Dr. Kenson. Now that I left Cerberus behind for good, this is my way back into the Alliance. Suicide mission pics: Oh gooood. I had so much trouble with this part this time, unbelievable I will not mention the part where I died at least 4 times fighting the human Reaper Somehow it felt super glitchy and the beam from that thing didn't kill the spawning Collectors as well as it did in my other runs. Plus of course my squaddies that never seem to obey my orders, Harbinger popping up as many times as I have never seen before, and Shepard suddenly only walking sideways. Highly frustrating stuff, hahaha! Not to mention how useless Jacob was during that fight. What was really nice was the husk rush during the long walk. For once I tried out the Arc Projector, and it was over really quick. Nice weapon for that part All the suicide mission casualties went as I had them planned, woohoo. Until minutes before I started the SM, I was actually contemplating whether to let the crew go back alone or send Zaeed with them. Had I gone that way I would've activated Grunt and let him die holding the line, but then I decided against it because I wanted to have Dr. Michel on board in ME3 without having to send Chakwas away.

Cerberus Interoffice Memo
To: Illusive Man
From: Miranda Lawson, Lazarus Project Director
Re: Normandy Status Update
Shepard appears to be refusing to follow our advice and appears to be avoiding going to Omega to recruit Mordin Solus. I am still not convinced that your decision to not install the control chip I recommended was advisable. The Commander is a very willful person and has made it very clear so far that he does not trust either myself or Jacob.
We have, however, recovered the M-44 Hammerhead vehicle and tracked the whereabouts of both Dr. O'Loy and Dr. Cayce. It seems that Dr. Cayce killed Dr. O'Loy and then committed suicide. As you mentioned might be possible, we have also recovered a silver spherical artifact, the purpose and function of which remains unknown. The Commander is currently storing the artifact in his cabin. Initial tests on the artifact seem to indicate that it is currently inert. Per your advice, I will of course be monitoring it carefully for any signs of it becoming active in any way. I am not exactly sure why you would issue such a vague warning about it; but trust that you would not knowingly withhold any information that might jeopardize our mission.
Regards, M.

Did plenty yesterday, did things differently when rounding up the mercs under Aria, I ordered the hit on that Turian general and let that nutbag Jona Sederis out of prison. It'll be fine. I also saved teh kidz in Grissom, a small part of me wanted to see what would happen if I opted to put them on the front lines as combatants buuuuuuut then I wussed out, they're just kids, they'll get slaughtered. I can't full renegade it seems. Met up with Grunt and his company, since I killed the Rachni queen didn't have to think twice about not helping that weird clone breeder. So that was a first, I always save the Rachni queen. Also did a few N7 missions, met up with Ashley, was harsh with her when she told my Shep about getting promoted, just to see the difference, lol assShep strikes again! Liara also showed me her project, told my Shep he was a good friend, he replied that's nice, that's assShep for you. Also rescued the Primark's son, Eve is pretty sick, Wrex really distrusts my Shep right now and with good reason. Tuchanka is gonna hurt.

Disarmed the bomb on Tuchanka then went on to betray Wrex and kill Mordin, that was fun to experience, glad I tried this, yup, it felt great. All the lies, Eve constantly asking me is something wrong, Wrex thinking I've done good by the Krogan and how happy the Salarian dalatrass is in arming my Shep with more lies to cover his ass when the Krogan eventually learn that the "cure" didn't work. Ugh, bleurgh, gah, feel like I need a shower. Currently, assShep is dealing with that pesky Cerberus occupying the Citadel. He doesn't deserve happiness.

Cerberus Interoffice Memo
To: Illusive Man
From: Kelly Chambers
Re: Psychology Report on Commander Shepard
I suspect that the Commander has been having some difficulty processing the loss of the Normandy and that is potentially why he has been so reluctant to go into the Omega Nebula in order to start recruiting people to join our mission. Currently, he seems to be wandering rather aimlessly about the Terminus Systems, scanning for minerals and signals coming from various planets. We have discovered the wreck sites of two freighters, MSV Estevanico located in the Hourglass Nebula and MSV Corsica located in Eagle Nebula. Unfortunately, there were no survivors found at either wreck site. I am aware that he has received an email from Admiral Hackett asking that he return to the Normandy SR-1 crash site in order to retrieve the dog tags of some 20 lost crew and place a commemorative monument there. I am encouraging him to undertake this mission soon in the hopes that it will help him find some personal closure. I have managed to get him to flirt with me a little, and I continue to encourage him to start talking to some of the other members of the crew as well. While I share some of your concerns, I am confident we will get him back into his old form soon.

From the Personal Logs of the SSV Normandy. Commander Abigail Shepard reporting, CO SSV Normandy, June 11, 2185.
Recruited Tali for our little mission. Which was the last person on the list of Dossier's to pick up. We now have what the Illusive Man deems a full team for our mission. I am dubious of the fact. Yes, we have specialists who can probably fill every combat role imaginable, but there is only what...11 of us...12? If the Collectors really have a homeworld then we could be walking into quite a trap. However, given we have only run into one Collector ship...ever...and given their effectiveness against us in the field, maybe that will be enough.
Regardess, it is good to have Tali back again. Another welcome sight. Though I must remember to chastice Jacob. I thought she was about to flip when he told her we had an AI onboard. I don't know if he was oblivious or....what was that quaint human expression of old...yes, trolling. But, it was at least in bad form. Though I suppose it was better she find out that way.
We have picked up a slight distress call from a Cerberus facility in the area and are moving to check it out. Its a facility the Illusive Man put in amongst my intel. Who knwos what they are studying, but lets hope its better then Thorian Creepers or Rachni. So yeah, sorry for the delay on this but when I got to my computer yesterday to make my 'report.' I was just sooo out of it. Also had a chapter to edit for my novel so I opted to punt. Nevertheless, the Collecor ship is done, Thane is recruited, Samara is recruited, and did a few side missions though I still probably have one more. And I am loving having the Revenant back, that weapon is godly. Died once in the Tali recruitment misson, which was an annoying surprise, but it still worked out pretty well in the end. In other news I finally got my fan fic psynched up to my Kindle because I was out and about and needed something to do so I broke the old girl out and started reading.

I did all of this yesterday, not today. I'm on my 3rd playthrough of the trilogy. I started Mass Effect 2, met Garrus, and started the mission where you recruit Mordin. I stopped because I was feeling tired from all the writing I did on the weekend.

Mark Shepard:
Karumto: Checking out a volcano research station. Doctors Cayce and O'Loy were looking for a Prothean ruin but kept it quiet to avoid an attack by the bad guys in search of it like happened on Eden Prime. I turned on some sensors but somehow that made the area even more unstable. The volcano was beginning to erupt! Just barely escaped. That station is gone but I was pointed in a new direction.
Sinmara: The magnetic shield around this station was failing. The sun was going to roast it. Popped it, reset the shield, and popped back out.
Taitus: A YMIR mech was transmitting data about large mineral resources. The mech was a wreck. I had to fix a memory error just to get it started. Then it was leaking fuel but the fuel cells lying around dealt with that. It gave me access to the minerals - 5000 platinum - just before exploding.
Corang: More of O'Loy and Cayce's research here. Oh, and there's geth. Should have brought Tali. I've learned it is possible to ram enemies in the Hammerhead but it's not nearly as satisfying as rolling over them repeatedly like in the Mako. I retrieved all the artifacts but man is this boring. I love to shoot things but with my gun, not the half-assed missile system in the Hammerhead.
Gei Hinnom: Distress signal from a quarian ship. A lot of dead quarians and one alive. Attacks by varren. Rescued to survivor and got out. The jungle was full of varren, something that couldn't be an accident. Varren are from Tuchanka.
Kopis: Prothean artifacts detected! Also, geth. Turns out O'Loy was indoctrinated and sending the coordinates to the geth. Cayce was also indoctrinated, or starting to be, and was aware of it. He decided to destroy the Prothean relic and kill himself. A datapad says O'Loy had made a deal with the Collectors for this artifact in exchange for sparing his home colony. The artifact itself was a large sphere, similar to the one that I'd encountered on Eletania that gave me visions of ancient humanity being visited by the Protheans. When I touched this one I received no visions. Instead it emitted a burst of energy and shrunk down to a size I could carry. Took it to the Normandy but I have no idea of its purpose or if it's simply too damaged to operate. The burst turned out to be a transmission that was able to be partially decrypted. It led to some biotic advancements.
Pragia: Time to deal with Jack. I brought Jacob along out of curiosity. Miranda is too much of a Cerberus apologist to see anything bad we might find here as evidence that her organization is evil at its core.
I saw nothing in the facility that made me not want to kill anyone who had ever been involved with it. Full of biotic children that were expendable, most of them tested on to make sure Jack wasn't harmed.
We fought some Blood Pack mercs before finally finding who hired him, a guy named Aresh. He was the only other survivor of this facility and had it in his head that if he restarted it he might find answers. Jack had the right of it wanting to destroy the place. Aresh wasn't sane or smart enough to restart the place and I convinced Jack to let him go. Then we planted a bomb and detonated it, leaving nothing but a smoking crater that the jungle would soon reclaim.
Normandy SR-2: Miranda and Jack got into a fight. Joker wanted pictures. Miranda still couldn't back down that Cerberus was wrong at the Teltin facility. However, since it was in the XO office I have to assume Jack instigated things. I really wanted to put Miranda in her place but it was more important that they all follow my direction with no question. I remained neutral and told them this aggression needed to be channeled to the Collectors. They agreed to set this aside until the mission was over.

From the Personal Log of the SSV Normandy. SSV Normandy Personal Logs, Commander Abigail Shepard CO reporting, June 16th 2185.
The project Overlord turned out to be a little shop of horros. Is this the organization I am working with? Who gave me this crew and this chance at further life and redemption? Kind of hard to believe. And yes, I understand the practical implications of advancing humanity but we cannot do so without sacrificing that which makes us human in the first place otherwise we will have lost everything.
Nevertheless I sent the boy off to Grissom Accademy. Its safe to say he will be safer there. And I continue to support Cerberus and its overall objective, I have to hope this is either an anomoly, or Archer exceeded his mandate. Nevertheless I will be watching them carefully. I am off now to do the rendevous with Miranda's sister and get her off Illium. So here we are again. Overlord. Well needless to say I completley demolished it. I did the entire thing in roughly two hours after I started playing. But, it was really un as usual. Going through the bad guys like a flame through tissue paper. Only annoying bit is Garrus continues to be very, very, squishy.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Exodus Cluster - Asteroid X57 (Bring Down the Sky)
A distress call was received from Asteroid X57 near the human colony of Terra Nova. The asteroid had been moved into orbit using fusion torches, to be used as an orbital facility. Now, the torches had been reactivated and the asteroid was hurtling toward the planet. If it wasn't stopped, it would collide with the Terra Nova, causing catastrophic damage to the colony. Shepard, Liara, and Tali landed on the asteroid to investigate. They received a transmission from a woman who informed them that the facility was under attack and that they needed to shut down the fusion torches to avert the disaster.
The Spectre and her team entered the building housing one of the fusion torch controls. Inside, they came face to face with a number of Batarians, who attacked immediately. After a tough fight, Shepard and her friends prevailed and shut down the fusion torch. The woman who contacted them previously - named Kate Bowman - radioed again. She was in hiding and didn't know much, only that the facility had been attacked by batarian extremists and that the remaining torches had to be shut down or millions would die. She was forced to sign off to avoid discovery.
Shepard headed toward the second fusion torch. On the way out, they met the chief engineer, Simon Atwell. He confirmed the information provided by Kate, and said that the main facility was currently held by the batarians, who had changed the access codes to lock everyone out. The batarian leader's name was Balak, and Simon was of the opinion that the other terrorists were afraid of him. He was relieved Kate had survived, but was worried about an engineering crew of his that had been working on the surface when the attack hit. Shepard promised to try and find them if she could, but only once the torches were dealt with.
Simon had mentioned the main transmitter, so Shepard went there and reactivated it. This highlighted important locations on Shepard's map. The team then went to the second fusion torch and shut it down, a task made tricky by more batarians as well as a field of blasting caps surrounding the entrance. Kate contacted them again, but was discovered, presumably by the leader, Balak, who demanded to know who was shutting down the torches. When Kate refused to answer, Shepard heard a shot over the comm - Balak had executed someone.
Shepard and her team went to the third fusion torch, defeated the guards, and shut it down. Hopefully, Terra Nova would now be safe, all that was left was to free the hostages from the main facility. As they were leaving, they were confronted by Charn, Balak's second in command. Charn wanted to talk, to try and end this peacefully. He claimed that destroying Terra Nova hadn't been his idea, he was just looking for a little profit from a "quick slave grab", and that it was only when Balak came along that the plan changed. Shepard challenged Charn to just walk away, if he was sincere in wanting to end this without more bloodshed. He finally relented when Shepard promised to deal with Balak, obviously he was afraid of the guy (Simon had been right about that). Shepard took Charn's pass for the main facility, and warned him to never set foot in human territory again.
With the data from the main transmitter, Shepard was able to find the locations of the three missing engineers from Simon's team, along with one other. Unfortunately, they had all been killed by the attackers - Hymes died from explosives set outside the survey station's door; Mendel appeared to have surrendered only to be executed; Slajs, who was to have relieved Mendel, was shot trying to escape a burning vehicle; Montoya was killed by a sniper shot while heading to the main facility to investigate. They also found a pirate radio station, "Radio X57" who's programmers had evidently created controversy with their "extreme" music, which was causing youngsters to "riot and sleep with aliens." Shocking. Shepard fired up the transmitter, but found the music not very "extreme" at all - it sounded like the elevator music from the Citadel.
Shepard, Tali and Liara went to the main facility and defeated all of the batarians guarding it. Balak showed up, ranting about the plight of the batarian people, how it was all the Alliance's fault, as if that justified what he had tried to do to Terra Nova. Shepard's attempts to reason with him failed. Balak had set explosive charges around the main facility, so any attempt to arrest him would result in the death of all the hostages. Shepard felt she had no choice but to let him go - she would deal with him someday, but wouldn't sacrifice more innocent lives to get him. It meant breaking her word with Charn, but he shouldn't have needed persuading to walk away from this madness, and Shepard felt no guilt about breaking a deal with a slaver.
Simon confirmed that Terra Nova was safe - the torches were shut down with one hour to spare - and offered an extra set of heavy armour he had as thanks. He was saddened by the loss of his crew, but relieved his family on Terra Nova would be OK. Shepard spoke to Kate, and offered her sympathies - Kate's brother Aaron was the guard that Balak had executed. She had been brave and strong through the whole ordeal, and Shepard was relieved she had made it.
Shepard ordered her team back to the Normandy so she could file her report - the Alliance would need to be on the lookout for Balak and Charn, in case they tried to pull something like this again.

Mark Shepard: Normandy SR-2: I've done everything I can. All the missions thrown my way have been completed. My team is as solid as they're going to get and I've earned their loyalty. I could do that thing Hackett wants, where I infiltrate a batarian outpost to find a friend of his who claims to have information about an imminent Reaper invasion. However, I could be replaced on that mission with someone else, maybe another N7. No one can replace me against the Collectors so it's the thing I have to do. And to find the Collectors I need to get the IFF from the derelict Reaper orbiting the gas giant Mnemosyne. Seems odd that it's there and undiscovered until now but it remains our best option. Derelict Reaper: If there's a place I never wanted to me, it's inside of a Reaper. We're pretty sure Reaper tech alone can cause indoctrination. Can a dead Reaper still cause that effect? I just want to get the IFF and leave ASAP. Curious, though, about one thing. The Council is denying the existence of Reapers, at least publicly. Yet, here we are standing inside of one. Was Cerberus really able to cover it up while studying it? Grunt immediately smelled blood and said that there was "something wrong with it". A bad sign right off. Work logs increasingly suggest indoctrination, especially when the scientists talk about "odd angles" inside (they aren't unusual) and "listening" to samples (the whispers of the salarians on Virmire were a giveaway). Then, finally, kinetic barriers went up, preventing the Normandy from retrieving us. Looks like it was a trap all along. I pray for the Illusive Man's sake that it isn't another of his traps, like the Collector ship, or he will suffer when I get out. Then there was the log where two crew members literally had the same memories. It's enough to make them question reality. Then came the husks. Especially in the atmosphere of this Reaper, they resemble zombies. I wonder if it's possible if some indoctrinated bastard 200 years ago had Reaper dreams that inspired zombies. There was a sniper that took out a husk. Can't imagine who could have been present that didn't end up indoctrinated, turned into a husk or dead. In another room a sniper took out a few husks that were behind me. When I searched I saw a geth. It was wearing a piece of my armor, probably from when I died. Can't imagine how it got it. Then it said "Shepard-Commander" and walked away. It knows me and is protecting me, things I would have thought unlikely for a geth. I also didn't know geth could speak in the common tongue but I suppose they would have been made to be able to communicate with the quarians. [And I got stuck in a piece of scenery and had to exit the game. ]
