In another thread I mentioned I've never did a weaponless trilogy playthrough. I have played through ME2/3 without using a weapon, but not in ME1. So I will start today. It will be called, The Weaponless Playthrough. What difficulty will you be playing at? And what class? I imagine that would be very slow in the beginning. I might try it someday for fun.

It was hardcore for ME2 and I've done it several times in ME3 on insanity mode. I played as an adept only using one power, reave. For this playthrough I'm starting, not sure what difficulty.

Currently stuck on Gei Hinnom trying to save an injured quarian from a gaggle of hungry varren. Yeah, this is more difficult than all of Overlord put together.
I hate this mission, even more than Horizon and all collector missions altogether. Took me countless attempts and experimenting with squadmates until I managed to finish it on insanity.
I Googled some tips - parked squadmates in front of the two cave openings on the right to keep them from coming at me from both sides, then I Firestormed and Incinerated whatever came my way from the left. Still almost lost the quarian though.
It's been a long time since I did my full Insanity run on ME2 but I'm pretty sure I skipped a lot of side missions and I definitely skipped the DLC. Overlord actually wasn't that bad, I was surprised. Being an Engineer probably helped a lot.
Some pics from Tuchanka, on the way to Weyrloc's base:

Just finished my ME1 playthrough of The Weaponless Trilogy Playthrough. For those who want to do a playthrough like that, singularity and lift are your best friends.
I will start ME2 later

Miriam Shepard investigated Sanctuary... Diverted the Normandy to Ontarom in the Kepler Verge to retake a communications hub captured by Cerberus. Fortunately, weather was clear; have heard bad stories about that place during sandstorms. Took Liara to give her a distraction from Thessia; and Garrus as much for moral support as combat support. Found the site defended by Cerberus force including elite "Nemesis" snipers and "Phantom" biotics. Neutralized opposition and regained control of facility, aided by Alliance engineer Grace Sato. Traynor traced Kai Leng's shuttle through the relay network to Sanctuary, supposed refugee haven on Horizon in the Shadow Sea. Ordered the Normandy to Horizon and took a shuttle to Sanctuary with Javik and James. Comms were jammed. Found clear evidence of a firefight at the landing zone. Observed Cerberus shuttles evacuating, then shot down by Harvesters. Entered Sanctuary, examined logs; seemed benign aside from the no-comms policy. Further in, found clear evidence of Cerberus and Reaper forces fighting to mutual destruction. Found video log left by Miranda revealing that Sanctuary is a front for a Cerberus operation. Located concealed entrance to facility interior. Discovered laboratories with video footage of refugees being turned into husks. Proceeded through laboratory; encountered significant Reaper forces including Banshees, and mobs of former refugees. Pieced together the truth from video, audio and textual logs: Henry Lawson reverse-engineering Reaper control signals using refugees as test subjects; "spare" individuals indoctrinated and converted into Cerberus cannon fodder. Reapers attacked after identifying research as a threat. Gained access to control tower. Encountered Miranda confronting Henry, with Oriana taken hostage. Persuaded Henry to release Oriana. As soon as Oriana was safe, Miranda threw her father from the tower using biotic power. Kai Leng not present on-site; had been dispatched to collect research data. Miranda planted covert tracking device on his shuttle. Returned to Normandy. Traynor analysed tracking data, pinpointed Kai Leng's destination, likely location of Cerberus HQ. Normandy crew appalled by Sanctuary atrocities. Found Tali in crew lounge, nursing bottle of turian brandy. Garrus pledged to carve names of turian refugees into Illusive Man's skull. Would like to hit Cerberus HQ immediately, but Hackett recalled Normandy to Citadel for maintenance. Seems wrong to be taking forced shore leave at this stage in the war. [The Ontarom mission felt so much like a multiplayer devices objective that it didn't occur to me to take all the enemies out before activating the devices, I did it MP-style while under fire. Died once when I got distracted by a Phantom and didn't see the Centurion flanking me Somewhat surprised that I made it through Horizon without dying. It's not the Banshees that are difficult, it's the Ravagers, they hit hard on Insanity. They're especially annoying when sitting right next to barrier engines! (Aside: I'd quite like to have seen shield pylons/barrier engines added to the later waves of multiplayer games, in preference to simply throwing more and more Banshees and Phantoms at the players). Aside from the trickier combat, this went exactly as my first playthrough; Miranda was alive and loyal, and Shepard's reputation was maxed, so no reason not to go full Paragon.]

Mark Shepard:
Citadel, Archives: Tracked my enemy to the Citadel Archives. We fought a few mercs before he revealed himself. He was my clone, grown by Cerberus as spare parts for me. The clone decided to take over my life, saying that I should only be relying on humans for assistance and not all those aliens I had at my side. This guy had hired mercs but I had loyalty in the form of Kaidan, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Liara, James, EDI, Cortez and Javik. I did promise to kill him and then pursued him through the Archives. It required Council approval for access, something Spectres have. That's partly why the clone needed my codes, though also so he could replace me. The clone jokes, though. I was halfway expecting Kaidan to bring up some kind of threesome sex thing but I guess I know him better than that.
Interesting tidbits in the Archives: first contact between turians and humans, Krogan Rebellions, sentient mechs trying to get recognition by the Council - and being destroyed by C-Sec, the Battle of the Citadel - which goddammit acknowledges the Reaper threat, the turians unleashing the genophage - apparently against the wishes of the salarians, the appointment of the first Spectre, the asari discovering the Citadel, and my appointment as the first human Spectre. I wonder what else was there that I'd missed. I'd love to revisit this place with more time. The sheer volume of history has to be worth knowing.
When we finally caught up with him everything became clear. The clone was working with Brooks and they were after my Spectre access clones. They also reconfigured the fingerprints from mine to his. Then they locked my entire squad into a the Archives. However, they were stupid. Glyph had been with us all along and had not been trapped. It freed us.
When we got out, Joker showed up with a shuttle. He said the clone was trying to steal the Normandy. I jumped in with Kaidan and Garrus. We fought our way to the ship. Traynor was in the airlock with nothing more than her toothbrush. "I" kicked her out. There was an emergency escape hatch that only opened from the inside. However, a biotic field could open it. Kaidan didn't have the fine control needed but Traynor's toothbrush did. We were in and it brought us right under the CIC, emerging right behind the galaxy map.
Then I saw something that really ticked me off. My space hamster was in a pile of stuff to be taken away, with a note saying a warship was no place for a pet. Nerve of that guy! That space hamster got me through some really tough times! Why else would I go out of my way to find that guy below engineering? This was the first time it felt person. I told space hamster to go for the eyes if anyone bothered him while me and my squad went to take care of the impostor and his annoying sidekick.
Garrus wanted elevator chat like we had on the Citadel back when we were flying in the SR-1. Those were some long rides, so what else could we do? Fortunately, this ride was shorter and the elevator much faster so no time for chat.
We fought. He was good but not like me. He was also different in that he couldn't inspire others to follow. When we ended up hanging off the edge of the cargo bay, Kaidan and Garrus rescued me while Brooks tried to duck out. I felt some sympathy for the clone. He was brought into this world to have a life but for spare parts. Then he was discarded when no longer needed. Finally, when someone did awaken him, she pretended to care about him and manipulated him into a meaningless quest. I tried to save him. He wasn't interested and let go, plummeting to his death. That's one more thing I'd never do.
Brooks was another matter. We had her handcuffed but I could see she was trying to escape. Former Cerberus and someone who felt they weren't pro-human enough. I didn't think it was safe to have her around. When she tried to run I had no problem shooting her in the back.
Citadel, My Apartment: Joker talked me into a party. Meanwhile, lots of people wanted to see me. Javik was first up. Someone convinced him to appear in a "vid" and he wanted me to come along. It was the next Blasto and man was it bad.
EDI came over. She wanted to buy gifts for everyone. Almost put Joker in debt until I redirected how she spent his money. She also gave me something called a victory ring, made from metals found on the homeworlds of each Council member.
James swung by for a visit. Had something to show me. He wanted me to see the N7 tattoo I saw him getting earlier.
Went to the Casino because that's where I could find party supplies. Ran into Kasumi Goto. She was there to rob the place. She put it in perspective, like the place having excess money and people who couldn't make it to the Citadel having a hard time surviving. She wanted to play Robin Hood. I let her do it. She was right when she said they couldn't spend the money if they were dead.
While t here, I met with Garrus at the bar, one of our favorite places to be. I could see Garrus needed to loosen up but and tried to set him up with another turian near us. He's exceptionally bad at meeting women. It wasn't until I put a beer in his hand that the confidence returned.
Waited for Traynor at Castle Arcade but she didn't show. Then I found her in a gaming tournament for Kepesh-Yakshi, Blade of the Night Wind. It was an asari game designed for tactical training. I gave Traynor a confidence boost to help her take out longtime nemesis T'Suzsa, who was frankly an ass. It was worth it watching Traynor take that arrogant bitch down a peg. Also there was Zaeed, trying to win at a claw game he was convinced was rigged. Making Zaeed say "please" for some credits was worth everything. After 2000 credits all I got were 4 music tracks.
Liara visited me. She was playing piano and taught me the only song she knew, one that a fellow archaeologist had taught to her.

I did play some ME after all I played through Priority Horizon 5 times because I continued my Vega Dialogue project. In all my playthroughs, I never saw that there's a vista that can be activated right when entering the Sanctuary hall Also never really looked at that floating thing in the water... a Cerberus mook. Heh.

Kept Thane's son, Kolyat, from starting down a dark road. Cptn Bailey of C-Sec has taken the young man under his wing.
Helped Liara find and take out the Shadow Broker. I had to do the fight while waiting for the seal to open several times until I figured out what I was doing wrong. [This is why I never played the DLCs on Insanity before.] Once I corrected my tactics, I got it the first time. Still don't like Vasir one bit.
Finished exploring the rest of the clusters and systems on the galaxy map. The last two side missions were the two Blood Pack bases (the weapons base and the green fog/klixen camp) and the husk mine. In the latter I chose to forfeit a few hundred credits in favor of getting the hell out of there asap.
Next up: getting the IFF (really not looking forward to more husk hordes ).
EDIT: Survived the first few hordes. Currently standing outside the door to the core of the ship. I did bring the Cain with me though, so hopefully I can nuke the core without blowing up me, myself, and I in the process.

Finished part 2 of my Weaponless Playthrough.
The only time I used a weapon in ME2 was when I played as a mech in Arrival.
My bonus power I had was neural shock. Why? Because it can cause a target to stop in his/her/its tracks long enough for me to melee. If more than one, I can use singularity followed by warp to finish them off. At level 4, it can take out several husks once. It also has a very short cooldown. It worked very well on the IFF mission.
On missions that had enemies using shields, I used Garrus and Miranda because both have overload.
Will start Part 3, ME3, of my Weaponless Playthrough later

Oh hey its my weekend and I can still come in to update everybody on what I am doing, now I just have to remember what I have been doing. From the Personal Logs of the SSV Normandy: From the Personal Logs of the SSV Normandy, CO Commander Abigail Shepard reporting, April 25, 2186.
Leviathan turned out to be much more then just a wild goosechase. Much more then what had just killed a Reaper, and a lot more then just a Reaper. It was...powerful. That is really the only word for it. Too powerful. Kind of a proto reaper. They claimed they were the race that eventually gave rise to the Reapers, and the first Reaper was given their form, and all the Reapers since. Its still a little hard to believe. More then a little hard actually. But, if I am to take their word on it...
Their dangerous. Maybe more so then the Reapers itself but I can't help but have the nasty feeling that even if we somehow manage to stop the Reapers or destroy them or maybe even make peace with the Reapers, then it may be them we are fighting in the distance future. What they can do to minds. It is...horrible.
So, my official recomendation is...get read. Get ready for the next war, in case they try and come for us again.
***
April 28th, 2186.
Saw Jacob again. He is respctable now. Has a girlfriend. Baby on the way. But it was good seeing him again. Him and Archer. As much as I did needle him I can't help but feel a little sorry for Gavin Archer, at least he did the right thing in the end. But...couldn't tell him that.
Brynn was as good a scientiest as you are ever likely to run across, as well. She is going to be a good asset to the cause. Also, of course, played a crap ton of multiplayer. The highlight was running with a group of three who all had headphones, and some of them were like "A Salarian Infiltrator...what's that?" "I never have known someone who plays a Salarian good." And...well. I showed them. Only time I died was when a Banshee grabbed me. Though it did glitch. Speaking about glitches though during the 'Jacob Mission' the screen went black transitioning from the getting the AA guns online to the interior and would not come back online. So, I had to reload and well...that was frustrating, though only brielfly. lol. Tough mission for me for some reason though. I mean might have been a bit stupid but you kind of expect three Talon blasts to the face to be good enough. *shrugs*.

Lilith Shepard, Infiltrator, ME3My scars are starting to show again. Good, I like them. Genophage cure is ready. We’ll use the Shroud, a device used by salarians and ironically used by turians to infect the krogans with genophage, to disperse the cure. Urgent request from Hackett – heading to Benning to disrupt a Cerberus operation. Eden Prime was a nice colony, but this one? Concrete and pre-fabs? At least down on Earth back in my youth we had some privacy at toilets. And better clothes. Anyway, we saved as many colonists as we could from Cerberus abductions and secured the colony. Took the opportunity and searched for clues of what happened with Osoba, human ambasador’s son. We found his dog tags – he died defending his comrades. Last stop on Citadel before heading to Tuchanka. Bringing Blood Pack to Aria was pretty easy. Jona Sederis, though, was indeed as Bailey said - a „charming“ personality and a menace. Worse, she offended me, and I tend to take these little things very personally. I seriously considered telling Aria to forget about Eclipse, but Sederis revealed the name of her second in command. I tracked him down in refugee camp; poor idiot was convinced the idea to kill Sederis after I secure her release was his. Another problem solved. Now all three merc bands are firmly under Aria’s hand and helping in the war effort against reapers. Unsurprisingly, Aria wants me to help her to retake Omega. She has a plan. I’ll think about this. Managed to sneak back to Normandy again withouth talking to Miranda. Damn, she’s persistant. Cortez was also there, but no, I was not in the mood for another discussion about...shuttles. Back on Tuchanka - time to end the genophage and cement this turian-krogan alliance. But first to take care of that Cerberus bomb – which in fact is not Cerberus, but turian, planted here several hundred years ago. Lt. Victus disarmed the bomb, with the price of his own life. He died a hero. Mordin is doing last tests on Eve and cure, and in meantime he has time to sing and give advice to Joker. I thought I put an end to this starting „romance“ between an organic and a synthetic – maybe I should be more clear – Joker does not seem to get it. More talking with the last prothean. Fundamental differences between our cultures, I can understand why Liara is so unsettled. Last night of rest before genophage cure. Wrex is very very anxious. I wish I could share his enthusiasm.

Did you spot the Ark of the Covenant in the Archives?

I think you can remove weapons from squadmates in ME3. Would you consider doing a "real" weaponless playthrough? If they can be removed, I would imagine that can only be done on the pc and not a console. I play on the ps3. But yes. If that was possible, I would

If that was possible, I would You should be able to just select the no weapon (0/X) option when at a weapons bench (the ones scattered about while actually on missions) or when first starting a mission. I'm sure I can do it on the Xbox... double checking now though (just having a little trouble with my system freezing). ETA: Nope, you're right that it can't be done on the squad mates... just Shepard. I tried it on Liara... it appeared to allow me to remove her guns, but then came back with a message when I tried to close out the selection that she had to have at least 2 weapons equipped.

Dear Ashley,
We came within just 15 minutes of letting the reapers into the galaxy to start their harvest. I had to destroy a mass relay and an entire Batarian system to stop them... more than 300,000 dead. I can hardly live with myself... but it had to be done. Hackett's friend, as it turned out, was indoctrinated. Amazingly, he doesn't seem to blame me for anything and has promised to keep the Alliance and the Batarians off my back until I get this Collector mission done; although he does say I'll eventually have to show up "with my dress blues on, ready to take the hit." I think they should give me a medal, but "f*ck 'em" as Jack would say.
I'm sorry, Ash... I think I'm falling for her. She's so different... tough and sassy, crazy as hell. She might be the only woman in the galaxy (other than you) who could put up with this crazy life I've got... and she was there when I got back; and you weren't.
I still do love you, though. V.
P.S. Well, you're still my only girl. I must have messed up with Jack bad and given her the wrong impression. After I got back from helping Garrus clear up a little unfinished business (shooting a traitor who was on his old squad) and then helping Thane set his son on the straight and narrow by not allowing him to assassinate a anti-human politician (much as I wanted to let him), Jack told me that she has no hard feelings, but she doesn't "want to play." Sad thing is... I wasn't just playing with her at all.

Just boarded the Normandy after leaving Urdnot Wrex and the rest of the Krogan on Tuchanka. Also left Mordin behind. He was determined and calm. He finished what he promised to do. I salute that fella...couldn't have been anyone else.

Did you spot the Ark of the Covenant in the Archives? Not this time. I was looking for it but couldn't find it. Have seen it in the past. I stick to my actual experiences in each PT in order to make what I write more authentic.

Nuked the derelict Reaper core, woke up Legion, and blew up a lot of geth....er, heretics. Left the ship while EDI tested the IFF, which didn't go so well. Collectors attacked and abducted the entire crew, except for Joker. EDI is now unshackled, but she cleared the ship of bad guys.
I headed up to the bridge to talk with unshackled EDI, which I'd never done before. I also spoke with Joker. Shepard is actually able to make fun of Joker already flirting with EDI.
Started the SM but only so I could see this scene:
I'll do it for realsies tomorrow.

Mark Shepard: Citadel, Silversun Strip: Went for a joyride with Cortez. He showed me how a true pilot can make the experiencing amazing. He also expressed how gravely he takes his responsibility to get me safely to the ground, that he wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. There's something about him...if I weren't with Kaidan - but no point following that line of thought because I couldn't be happier with my choice. Met with Jacob at Castle Arcade. He was helping some orphans. Gotta tell you that this puts him in a better light that I've seen him in the past. So when he wanted the kids to see him as a shining star I decided to let it happen. We played Shattered Eezo, a robot boxing game. I'm not saying I threw the fight but I may not have given my all. It made the kids happy and that mattered more than my ego. Checked in with Avina. I asked her about Purgatory. She had no information, which is damn strange. Best guess is that it's for a certain type of crowd and not meant for the average tourist to find - a place where a person could let down their hair and no one would bat an eye. The famous could go to not be seen and the press were not invited. Also learned that Ryuusei is under repair so people will have their damned sushi restaurant back! Date night with Kaidan. I wanted to go out and he wanted to stay in and impress me with his cooking. I suppose, given that fights usually break out wherever I go, it couldn't hurt to stay home. He did burn the garlic. I played dumb but I knew damn well why he was so distracted. Nevertheless, he made a fantastic beef liver with bacon, garlic and onions. We spent the night together and hoped that one day it would be home for both of us. Miranda came by to chat. She'd heard strange reports about me, but then found out about the clone. She recognized what a crazy life I have. Yet, if I didn't do things this way would we have ever gotten this far? Hell, the Reapers might have invaded three years ago when we had no chance of defending ourselves. Like with Cortez, in another life I could imagine myself with Miranda. She's interesting. She and I would make a good match. i Held a memorial service for Thane. I'd say more but a Glyph-related glitch made it not happen. C-Sec told me there was an incident involving Grunt. I have to admit that, despite the property damage, it was all very amusing - from his hospital breakout to lighting a C-Sec shuttle on fire with ryncol. Still, I made him apologize and immediately decided he should be at my party. Invited Cortez and Vega over to watch a game. Glyph tried to interfere but unlike with the funeral nothing got in the way of beer and a game! These guys also took bets on the winner, but didn't let me in on it. Turns out they had decided that I couldn't lose and whoever I chose would win. It sounded all very superstitious to me but I couldn't argue that the Seattle Sorcerers - my pick - won. I invited Traynor up and...I got a memorial for Thane. Full blown memorial service. This one had Bailey, the salarian councilor, Joker, EDI, Tali, Garrus, Samara, and Kolyat. Thane's choice to change his life for his son resonated strongly with Samara. Kolyat and the councilor took some time to discuss medical research. Salarians were the people most likely to come up with a cure. I offered my help but Kolyat said the councilor was already interested - the fact that Thane risked his life for the salarian was not something she forgot. I had a good feeling that Kepral's Syndrome wouldn't be a life threatening illness for much longer. Gratitude can go a long way. Kolyat has also found messages Thane had tried to send me while I was locked up on Earth. It was kind of sad but he was trying to let me in on the events of his life. How he moved near Kolyat and emulated good behavior, and how he ended up at Huerta. He was looking for a friend. Wish I could have been there for him sooner. Samara came over. I wanted another goodbye. I imagine I wouldn't have had anything like this had I chosen Morinth. No doubt her daughter would inevitably tried to seduce me. Based on the one encounter, she would have succeeded and I would be dead. So...here's to good decisions. We played a game of trying to guess the story behind the people on the street. Samara came up with some great stuff. Met with Miranda at the Sun Coast Casino. Miranda was in a slinky red dress while I wore the outfit that I'm eternally grateful to Kasumi for buying for me. Sure, it was so we could do her pet project but for me dressing up had always meant dress blues. A nice suit was perfect to pull out for occasions like this. Not only did I get to see Miranda try something new, something she wasn't good at, but I got to see her laugh. So glad we had this time together. Finally, it was time. Despite my reservations about who Joker and Glyph could invite, I really wanted all those who had fought with my here. I wanted to celebrate our lives because this might be it for us. Last chance to celebrate before the end. With what we were heading into any positive outcome seemed almost impossible. Still, Javik called it when he read me on the Normandy: I had confidence and believed I was winning. This remained true. With all the forces we'd brought together we were going to win. The only thing I didn't know was if myself or anyone I cared about was getting out of it alive. Party highlights: Steve, James, Kaidan and Jack relaxed and toasted to taking a break; the ex-Cerberus crowd (Joker, EDI, Miranda and Jacob) discussed the downfall of Cerberus; Traynor let me know I missed out on Chakwas's gift of Serrice Brandy; headbutting between Grunt and Wrex; Traynor was inexplicably in my bedroom in just a bra and panties (presumably from when inviting her initiated the memorial); Grunt made a phenomenal bouncer; a man emergency for Joker; art critics; Miranda and Jack needed to make out; EDI made Traynor and especially Tali VERY uncomfortable; I overheard Miranda say Cerberus was wrong about Jack. Wow.; biotics vs muscle contest - considering I could take Vega in a fight he had nothing; embarrassed Joker into dancing with EDI; target practice; biotic supremacy in action; Grunt asleep in the shower; Kasumi approved of my underwear choices; danced with my friends; group photo; woke up next to Kaidan (half-naked Traynor still present); musical performances of Mordin. Most of them were feeling it in the morning, particularly Tali and Liara. Samara was fine and meditating while Jack and Jacob were exercising. James made eggs for everyone. Finally, our time was up. The retrofits were done and we'd had a blast after the bit with my clone was behind us anyway. Right before we stepped back on board the ship, Kaidan said he believed in me, that I'd find a way to win. But more importantly he said he'd be waiting for me when I did. That's the kind of thing I need to hear at times, a reminder of why I'm doing all of this. I can't let him down.

Mark Shepard:
Normandy: War Assets: 8117 x 99% = 8035.
Visited everyone on board and all was quiet. Dead quiet. I guess everyone was focused on the next mission to attack Cerberus at Cronos Station.
I spoke with Hackett and the assault was a go. Couldn't sleep and spent all my time going over the numbers to see if there was anything I missed, anything that could be done better. That's when Kaidan showed up with a bottle of whiskey and some glasses. He said he just wanted a quick drink but I knew better. I remembered our first night together back on the SR-1. Kaidan remembered his performance as spectacular. Maybe it's part of why I came back for more.
After falling asleep, my nightmare returned. Back in the dark forest with shades of the dead whispering to me. The boy was there, running from me like always. I heard Ash saying it was the right choice to choose Kaidan over her. I heard Legion asking if he deserved to live. Then, when I caught up with the boy, he had run into the arms of my clone. It was like there was a tenderness from the clone that I hadn't been able to provide, that he'd trust his safety to it rather than me.
I woke up with a start but better than other times since Kaidan's was holding me. He reminded me that I inspired others. I wanted to say I needed it to but when I looked in those brown eyes I knew I had all the inspiration I would ever require. I wanted to win and come back to him.
EDI told me she needed to accompany me to Cronos Station because she was aware of Cerberus protocols in a way your average hacker might not be. Joker wasn't happy but we went. I took Kaidan, too. Didn't really want him out of my sight anymore.
Cronos Station: The combination of the skills of Joker and Cortez got us into the hangar bay. Cerberus tried to vent the bay but EDI prevented it. She couldn't get us in through normal means but managed to control the flight procedures of a fighter pilot, turning it around and launching it at the interior walls, providing us an entrance.
Came to a terminal about Project Lazarus. First entry said I had been clinically brain dead. I either didn't realize that or didn't want to. It didn't make sense that I was alive. Second entry said my brain had been held intact by my helmet. Baffling since I found my helmet on Alchera. Still, there had been questions of me working with a terrorist organization and the Illusive Man saying he had no doubts I would do it if it meant fighting the Reapers. Third entry shows how the Illusive Man handpicked people who I would be sympathetic to, including old friends, so that I would never see Cerberus for what it really was. I never trusted them but my reservations were on hold the entire time.
Another terminal was about EDI. First entry said she was a combination of the remnants of the rogue VI I found on Luna Base and Reaper tech salvaged from Sovereign's remains. The Illusive Man put shackles in place but the second entry showed he never really knew what he had, insisting EDI was nothing more than a cyberwarefare suite. Third entry says that the Illusive Man tried to regain control of EDI and the Normandy after we destroyed the Collector base. EDI flooded Cerberus with a shit ton of porn, which a scientist described as her playing a joke. The Illusive Man couldn't believe that was possible. Really underestimated EDI which is why he lost her.
Found another terminal, this one discussing Kai Leng. To be honest, I don't much care what makes him tick. I already knew from Shadow Broker files that he was and N7 that had been booted from the Alliance. I wasn't interested in finding a reason to be sympathetic to him.
Came into another large area that had within it the remains of that human proto-Reaper I'd destroyed on the Collector base. They were using it as a power source. Oddly, it seemed to be watching us but was otherwise immobile.
A final terminal showed how Reaper tech implants had changed Cerberus forces to those husk-like things we saw on Mars. The Illusive Man himself subjected himself to it in the end. Indoctrination proven, if I weren't already convinced.
When I got to the central lab I realized it was the room from which the Illusive Man had always contacted me. This was also where the Prothean VI was being held. While EDI worked on accessing it, the Illusive Man contacted me. He wasn't entirely antagonistic but still wouldn't give me the Catalyst. He tried to equate EDI inhabiting Eva Core with himself controlling the Reapers. The scope alone made it different, as well as the ancient and malignant intelligence behind one and not the other.
Once EDI had retrieved the VI, it told us that the Catalyst was the Citadel itself. It also told us that the Citadel had been moved to Earth. Then Kai Leng and Cerberus troops arrived. We fought and all of Leng's confidence didn't make up for the fact that he was no match for me when I'm not caught off-guard. He did think he could sneak up on me when he thought he was down and stab me in the back. Instead, I broke his blade and jammed my omni-blade right into his chest. He wouldn't be getting up again.

Just completed part 3 of my Weaponless Playthrough
The only time I used a weapon was when rescuing Koris, shooting 3 husks and Mirauder and the tube.
For a bonus power, I chose reave. For me, this is the best power in ME3. What I did in this playthrough was only use reave. So what I did is put all my points into reave. When I did, I chose to have it effect a larger radius to take care of more enemies. I also put all points into biotic mastery and fitness. Didn't put points in anything else. After I finished Menae, I went back to the Citadel and bought the power magnifier for both the smg and pistol. It adds 10% power damage. During the playthrough I wore serrice armor pieces increasing my power damage. Even scanned planets for intel to increase my power damage. The other reason that makes this power great is that it knocks back the enemy, not all, a step or two giving time for your squadmates to take care of them or being able to use reave again with a fast cooldown. If someone were to do this, but wants to use another power with reave, I would say use warp. Both together packs one heck of a punch.
So ends the Weaponless Playthrough. What's next for me? Maybe the Do Nothing Playthrough. Stay in cover and let the squadmates do the work. Problem with that, is my Shepard would be the one who shoots the tube in the end.

Finished ME2!
Proof:
I had a lot of restarts and almost got Tali roasted a couple of times but it wasn't really that bad. I still think the Collector Ship is the hardest mission, and maybe recruiting Garrus (the basement!) since that one comes pretty early in the game. I brought the Cain to fire at the baby reaper and had to reload the autosave a few times when I kept misfiring. I swear the damn thing waited until I fired to duck. Garrus could take a lesson. Even with 2 shots it still only took the thing down to half health but with fire ammo, warp, and incinerate, it went down pretty quickly.
Destroyed the base, told Joker to lose TIM's signal, and got kudos from everyone (except Jack) for doing so. Then invited Garrus up to the cabin for some quality time.
Next up: Arrival, but not on insanity. I'm lowering the difficulty for two reasons:
1. I always have trouble taking out all the batarians while waiting for Kenson to figure out where the elevator control is. and 2. I despise Kenson, so I want to spend as little time as possible with her. Hackett has shitty taste in friends.
Harby, here I come!
