Here is what I got and some questions.
1. Roy mentioned they added the exploration feature with "l'esprit" (with the idea) of giving the player more freedom. Yet, later on, he mentions that when you add to the game the exploration element and some freedom that goes with it ("un peu") plus the order you do things, will influence the game story. Interesting is the tidbit about your choice sequences, but I find his use of freedom a bit confusing and contradictory. What do you think?
2. In the MP question, Roy mentions a more dynamic and chaotic combat mechanic that adds to the player experience. Sounds interesting, Maybe some random environmental elements like dust or whirlwinds are thrown in during combat? Or, perhaps some external player can jump in and choose a side?
3. On the number of planet question, Roy deflected but basically said there are different planetary conditions as you find in the Star Wars movies. So, I expect to see an ocean, forest, desert, icy, rocky... etc planets. The first ME:A video gave us a clue as to the planet types. Question: How many planets will there actually be?
4. Roy's answer to the female protagonist gave an indirect confirmation of other races from the MW coming to Andromeda with us. Interesting, though, is that the Ryder character needs to be more "general purpose" rather than a specialist class. I suppose it's because Ryder must explore, fight and interact with the Helius races. Question: Will our Ryder have multi-class leveling options? <==== very interesting of true

some external player can jump in and choose a side?Did I understood this right, is he talking about pvp? <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> No, he didn't say that. However, Roy's "add a chaotic element" to combat can be anything. I just asked the question as a possibility. The gist of that conversation was that ME:A brought elements from past ME games such as its combat. However, ME:A's combat is more intense and then he used the word chaotic. This is where speculation comes in as to what he means by chaotic. One interpretation is that in addition to ME1-3 type combat, the game may throw at us environmental chaos (ie: dust storms). I added the possibility of an external player coming into the fight and choosing a side, as a "chaotic element". Now, that last bit of speculation is interesting to me.

Well, if he really does mean PvP, or if it has you competing with other teams, I'm prolly gonna dabble in it but not play too long. If he means that you can drop in and drop out, without a person knowing that they are entering a MP match and thus increasing the size of the MP. Then yeah. I'm all for it.
In terms of planets, I'd expect for them to be all the same. For example, you know how long it took to make it on foot down to the dragon's lair in Storm Coast. Took you fifteen minutes - half an hour, starting at your first discovered location in the upper right. I expect for this game to be no different, except that we'll have the mako, but it sounds as though we're gonna be on some long desolate planets. Also, the environments in DA:I were no different. And that was entirely on one world.
About the leveling, I'd hope that there would be something there that we could pick our class, rather than choose our abilities, and have the game pick our class for us. Choose Reave and Singularity, you're an adept. Choose Adrenaline Rush and Armor Piercing Ammo, you're a soldier. Choose Reave and Armor Piercing Ammo, you're a Sentinel. That kind'a thing. I am a little bit conflicted over this though. While it does sound good on paper, I've rarely seen it go down well. The last time it went down well was Dungeon Siege 1. And if you got to the upper levels in that game, you saw that most of the builds were useless.

Is it possible we start classless, and then gain a class as we play based on the archetypes?

Is it possible we start classless, and then gain a class as we play based on the archetypes? It's possible, but harder. For example, how would you differentiate soldier from engineer based solely on how you carried a rifle? Adept from Sentinel based on how you carried a pistol? You can see my point, hopefully.

He said that if you choose to be just an explorer, then your ability to defend yourself is restricted. Basically, Ryder needs to be more than a specialist. Perhaps a Jack of all Trades but Master of none is key to playing this game.

IF they retain the Mass Effect 3 weapon/power/weight system I think that will make it work.

Go from a complete nobody, to a soldier/engineer/etc then to finally a hero.

Being able to include a friend to accompany you on an away mission sounds cool.
Maybe they've done away with classes altogether, as the game proceeds you get choices of what powers and ammo you get access to...

Ass long we have some freedom in how we do the exploration I'm fine and don't mind if you may get locked out from things or things may be different depending on which order you do things. Just make for better replayability and that is not a bad thing in my book and will just make choices matter a bit more and that's good.
If the combat becomes more chaotic and varied is only good as it could get a bit stale at moment as it just played out the same over and over again. Like the ide of environmental effects that could have an impact on combat. Random drop ins from other players no thank you unless you can opt out of it or maybe can just let people on your friends list have access.
Concerning planets I'm hoping for variation and some realism and not only habitable lush worlds I want my barren rocks. Hopefully they can make them more alien in looks and interesting so it don't look like postcards from earth but guess that's a challenge. It's easy to fall back on the familiar I suspect.
Well if they can make an open class system where you maybe can customise things a bit and make it work I'm all for it. Under the circumstances you are in and him saying "general purpose" I hope for more non combat skills and perks as well. I can dream anyway...

In case they'll try shove some PvP bullshit down my SP campaign throat, I'll be refunding it so fast they won't even register I've bought it.
Other than that, as long as it plays as Mass Effect, I'm cool.

I would be absolutely shocked if we got a PvP mode. The balancing for PvP is so much more important than PvE (bots don't complain). They could never balance things like Stasis.. even Overload would be really broken in PvP unless they give us regenerating health. So.. worry not little single player snowflakes..
