Gosh darn it. They really did go that way again. No fully sealed suit and helmet like the lore and physics say is needed. No, let's just give PeeBee a breather mask and she'll be fine no matter the enviornment. We can't let things like logic and lore get in the way of the Rule of Cool and Rule of Sexy. hopefully when the game is released like in ME3 we will get the option to give them proper equipment. You see...Bioware truly think we are too dumb to understand things like logic. Like toddlers all is needed is jingle some keys in front of us. So we have Miranda waring basically fetishwear...Jack wearing a nipple belt and Thane wearing Fabio shirts in planets with an ACID ATMOSPHERE... ME3 wasn't perfect with the breathers and lack of helmets for certain characters, so I hope this time we get those as well. They don't think we're dumb. They just value aesthetics (although I disagree on breathers being aesthetically pleasant) as much or more over reasonable armours.

Also am I reading that enemy type right? The nullifier? Yeah, what about it? Does any one else think the remnant look like mini-reapers?

See a pattern there?

Ashley, Kaidan, and James depended on what outfit you had equiped. The only ones who actually always wear what he lore says is needed is Garrus and Tali again. EDI doesn't but she is an exception since she is a robot. Doesn't bode well for the thought process behind the rest of the game is Rule of Cool trumps reason.

See a pattern there? That sure was. Again, I doubt they don't think we understand the need of full hard suits on certain areas or planets. I agree that there is way to find a common ground, with aesthetically pleasing and unique outfits that are at the same time functional. They probably don't agree with that reasoning. Or maybe they'll give each squadmate different type of armours and outfits so players can still have options to wear fully functional armours. We'll see. @ Hanako Ikezawa :the fact that the characters are designed under the rule of cool (which is still up to debate, we might have proper armours for Peebee), doesn't mean the whole game is designed like this. As it was stated by crimzon in ME2 we had those outfits, but for the ammo mechanic they went for an explanation.

Still, they tried to explain it. dude....a 13 years old would have done a better job AND a decent shooter designer would have found a better mechanic for a "reload feature" that did not break the lore...and actually said mechanic already existed in Gears of war 2 and 3

I'm pretty sure that they're only showing off everyone's default outfits; same as they did for Mass 3 and Inquisition. Notice how Liara's and Ashley's default outfits lacked helmets, but put them in suits of armor, they'd be properly equipped. edit: Also, PeeBee thinks she's Dirty Harry and there's now a revolver in the game. Just a small correction, but Liara didn't have a helmet in ME3. She and Javik were both missing helmets. Hopefully that isn't the case with any of the ME:A squadmates. They should all have at least one complete set of armor with a helmet. It's hard to suspend disbelief when you've got characters running around in hostile environments with exposed skin. Really? I could've sworn Liara had a helmet on one of her armors.

The only time Liara has worn a helmet is in ME1, back when they actually cared.

Peebee is in one of the screen shots! Notice she still does not have a jet pack. I gather her outfit prevents wearing one. Maybe it's because she's a Rogue. Thanks for that shot H.

Looks like PeeBee decided to go with a jacket and breathing mask on the lava planet. A bold decision, certainly. Was hoping this wouldn't happen again like in ME2. Just looks stupid that she has her arms and stomach exposed on hostile planets. If you said that at the twitter thread you would get blasted with a bunch of sarcasm and posivity.

I just now realized why I thought that the previous jetpacks were built into the armor versus the bigass backpack in these screenshots and the CES footage: there's different jetpack backpacks. There's at least four different models from what I've been able to spot from previous footage and the new stuff.
