It's called animation canceling. Done that in ME3MP and will do in Andromeda if it will be possible. Clever use of game mechanic.

Unless you're using Tempest Center Staff which requires you to complete the attack cycle to get the electrical glyphs But for Yavanalis, it's almost a necessity to maintain the one guard (not 5 as advertised)

I do it even in single player story mode. It is just really hard to wait for the animation once you get used to the canceling.

I use it but only on Warriors. To me the attack animations of mages are not so slow compared to Warriors'. Plus they are cool to look at! BTW the glyphs of Tempest Staff seem fun. Definitely gonna give it a try sometime.

And you will spread the glyphs.

I started playing a game where if you run over a hill top with full speed, you will take huge fall damage. So I started going thru the hills in angle. I then realized that I could do the same with the huge speed bumps they put in parking lot. Game Skill translated to RL Skill Yo.

Only on warriors, to proc something. Even so, I sometimes go through full animal to hit more targets.
