I don't know if this has already been discussed but I haven't seen any complain about it. Since the first gameplay of ME: A, one of the things that I really don't like is the new HUD and specifically the enemy name and health bar appearing at the top of their heads. I think it's too big, too much coloured/highlightened and unnecessary in that place. Yes, maybe it's something stupid to complain about but I think it breaks a little bit of the immersion and while this could look cool to others, I find it distracting. I like to enjoy the combat without all those flashy things in the middle of the screen. I understand that the maps are bigger in this game so maybe they thought it was better that way but I don't think we need it considered that we already have a map at the top of the screen that indicate the position of the enemies. I'd prefer if the enemies health and name appear at the top of the screen (like it was in ME2 and ME3) or anywhere else would be cool for me. I'm curious to know what do you think about it? Do you like it? Do you think this is how the HUD is going to look when the game comes out? Do you think we will have an option to remove it or to select a HUD similar to ME2 and ME3?
Sorry for any mistake, English isn't my native language.

I presonally don't mind it but I can see why some might have issues with it. Especially if your playing like a Vanguard class that likes to get in peoples faces then it could be a problem. Personally I don't think itlll be to omuxch of a problem as I generally attack at range and like to keep my distance using assault and sniper rifles. But again that's largely dependent on the characters I'm roleplaying as well.

Yeah, the HUD is the only thing I'm not to keen on as it's just waaaay to big and distracting. I much preferred ME3's HUD design.
Hopefully there's a way to scale it back a bit in the options.

I hope the HUD is customizable. Perhaps you can disable the enemy names and some other cumbersome elements. If it isn't, well, we'll keep it as is. I'm not allowing details like this to spoil my game experience.

Personally I don't think itlll be to omuxch of a problem as I generally attack at range and like to keep my distance using assault and sniper rifles. But again that's largely dependent on the characters I'm roleplaying as well. Yes I usually play as vanguard and sentinel. But still, even if I was playing as soldier I would've enjoyed the combat much better without this kind of HUD. How many time do we really need to see the enemy health and name? Personally, in the trilogy I only looked up at their health when the enemy was strong or had some kind of barriers or shields and I needed to check what kind of powers caused them more damage. If I'm using a widow and I want to shoot at an enemy in the distance, I'd prefer to see only the target within my visual range. But that's just my personal opinion of course

I'm less worried about the HUD than I am about how close the camera is to Ryder. They take up way too much of the screen.

I quite like it, seems clean and easy to gauge enemy armor/shields/health whilst in combat: will be handy for combos and planning your attacks and various ammo-type choices.

In this case they seem to have added with one hand and taken away with the other in this instancve

I don't like it either, especially the intrusive rainbow health bar. Makes no sense.

Trust me your not the only one. I dont think it breaks immersion but i agree with everything else you said. I didnt really care for the new hud to me they should of kept ME3's hud (which was perfect to me) with a couple of new improvements. The first thing i said when i saw it in the previous trailer was it looks like an mmo it reminded me a tad bit of ME3's multiplayer as well.

I'm actually surprised no one has complained about it yet, as they have complained about everything else top to bottom (classic BSN foruming).
I honestly agree that I would prefer the enemy name and heath bar to be at the top of the screen instead of right above the enemy. It doesn't bother me too much, and I'm sure after playing for 15 minutes I won't even notice.
It would be nice if they had an option to move it to the top of the screen, but I kind of doubt they will. Not a big deal for me, though, but I can understand how people might take issue with it.

Eh, I will get used to the HUD. It's always a new HUD in a new game. And the enemies health bar is no concern, I just need to hit/shoot it till it die.

I don't mind it. Looks similar to what we had before, but adapted to the new gameplay-style maybe.
Do we now if it's finalized? Have they said so?

One thing that I don't quite like about this new interface is that it seems to go too much towards cartoony/silly. I prefer the futuristic/sleek look from previous games. But we'll see.

Hm.. I'm unsure if I can figure out where my enemies are located in battle.. behind me or to the sides. At least with the "old style circle map", I could get my bearings.

The only thing that bothers me is the lower part of the HUD. The part with the squad stats and all that. It seems larger than it was before. I would like that to be smaller because it just feels likes it's taking up too much of my screen.
Either that, or I might have to toggle of the HUD.
