Part five. Stage one, ME2
*****
"We need to evaluate your psychological status."
It took some time for Shepard to register the statement was directed at her. The dark-hair woman, Miranda, was eyeing her with a chilly clinical eye. For someone who had put her back together and took the trouble to prevent her dying from a sneak attack, her attitude was decidedly cold and hostile. She didn't know what's biting the woman in the ass but if anyone ought to be feeling that way, it was her. Times three.
"Evaluate away," she said, crossing her arms.
Jacob shifted beside Miranda, clearly unhappy when his colleague looked at him to get the ball rolling. "Do you remember who you left behind on Virmire?" he asked.
The stare she gave him should have shriveled him on the spot. "Ashley Williams. Next."
Miranda leaned forward. "Why did you leave her behind?"
"Because I felt like it," Shepard returned flippantly. The day she explained her decisions to a Cerberus agent was the day she burned in hell.
"Your attitude isn't helping, commander," Miranda said frostily.
"Then we'll just dispense with the shrink session I didn't sign up for, shall we?"
"The commander has a rough start. How about we give her some time to adjust." Jacob put in quickly before Miranda could answer. "She has proven she is combat ready."
"The Illusive Man will want to know she's capable in all aspects," said Miranda, turning her chilly gaze on Jacob.
"Why don't you let him judge if I'm ready or not? You can put me back in the cooler if he says not."
"And who in her right mind would think you'll go quietly?" said Miranda.
White teeth flashed in a humorless grin. "Then you shouldn't have gotten on the hailer."
Jacob poured oil on the roiling waters. "Why don't we just wait and see what the boss says? Shepard could have wiped us all down easily but she didn't. Besides, her responses certainly established the personality, wouldn't you say, Miranda?"
Miranda gave him a quelling glare but remained silent. When it became clear she would not be interrogating her any further, Shepard turned her gaze to the window. Her mind was in a jumble. Two years. Was she alive or dead in those two years? Was she held in cryo as her body was rebuild? How much of her was left? Had Jacob lied to her? It was unheard of for anyone to survive a tumble from space onto a planet. He had to be lying. Shepard was dead and she was a clone. However, she never heard of a cloning procedure that would cost four billion credits. With that amount of money, an army of clones could be created. Why spent it all on one? It didn't make sense unless she wasn't a clone.
Dared she hope? It could all be misinformation, deliberately set out for her to find. The attack on the station could have been staged for her benefit. Rather expensive in lives and hardware if so but then, from her previous encounters with Cerberus, they were nothing but ruthless in attaining their goals. What did they want with her anyway? Last she remembered, she was one of many Alliance officers, in command of a frigate, sent on a mission to clean out the Geth. She doubted her Spectre status had anything to do with it. So what would it be?
She leaned her head against the headrest of her seat and closed her eyes. Two years. What had happened to her crew? How many had survived? Garrus, Wrex, Tali, Liara, did they live? If they did, where were they now? Did they look for her? Or did they give her up for dead?
What would they say if they see me?

Getting used to the Shepard That Never Shuts Up. [.....] And get the Shepard to stfu. lol... What are you referring to? Auto dialogue, general length of her responses, that pause when you think she is finally done talking, but she launches in the next vo piece that has nothing to do with what the wheel said, and that battle vo they have now, comm chat, I suppose. I think in the other two games there was a better balance in her having a personality, and me shaping her character. Here it feels like one of those adventure games when you just listen to the character and don't really get much of a say in what she or he is like. edit: and yep, apparently I went to bury Thane. One decent romance, and even that I can't keep or even acknowledge, with the Shepard really not having anything to say to Kaiden but how sorry she is. Well, from the whole ending outrage, I am guessing Shepard does not get to outlive Thane long, so that's that. Hopefully there is at least a button to stop her from throwing herself at Kaiden at some point. Oh, well, makes the choice of the squad easy. I cheated, and looked up companion list, so Tali and Garrus it's gonna be once I get Tali back.

Jonathan Shepard (ME3):
1. Went to Mahavid in search of Dr. Garneau, one of the Leviathan researchers. Think I stumbled onto the set of a horror movie. Sure, there were Reapers outside of T-GES Mineral Works that myself, Kaidan and James took care of, but inside was another story. Vacant stares, listless voices, people who didn't care that Reapers had just attacked. Can't be real. When everyone across the entire facility says "Turn back. You shouldn't be here" something strange is up. After chasing down a faux Garneau I found him holding a detonator next to a glowing artifact with husks swarming toward him. He blew it up. Then there was another body, apparently the real Garneau. He'd been dead for a while. Then some workers appeared and talked to us. Whatever was controlling them had been doing so since 2176. They'd all lost 10 years of their lives.
2. Back to Bryson's lab. There's an artifact present much like the one that was controlling the miners on Mahavid. EDI put of a shield to prevent it from doing the same to us. We discovered Bryson's daughter, Ann, had also learned of the indoctrination powers of Leviathan and had tried to warn Garneau. We used clues to track down her location.
3. Rescued Admiral Koris from Rannoch. He convinced the fleeing civilian fleet to stick around. If he hadn't, they most likely would have been destroyed.
4. Legion asked me to enter the geth consensus to shut down a server controlling geth fighter squadrons. It was very peculiar and gave been insights into the geth/quarian conflict. This data is in conflict with the official quarian version.
5. Got some fuel reactors restarted on Cyone.
6. Namakli - Found Ann Bryson's dig site and rescued her. She was very sad to learn of her father's death but determined to find Leviathan.

Daily log of events! --Completed Citadel. Due to the length of the DLC, I'll be doing a more comprehensive review later. For now, had fun, liked the steak dinner with Kaidan. Here's some bonus screenshots from some of my previous Shepards: Long-hair Shep in a modded dress. This was in a romanced Garrus playthrough. Same Shep, during the prologue on Earth. The hair was nice but had serious clipping issues with armor. A very carefully timed picture of Leviathan. Citadel group photo with one of my redheads. This is the same as my current session, only I had Kaidan sitting next to a dark-haired Shep.

At the moment I am in the unfortunate predicament of not wanting to talk to my squadmates in ME3 at this point in the story, yet not keen on furthering the main story because I might miss out on squadmate content. Both with Kirstin and Carter. Which is such a silly thing, but it has kept me out of the game for now. Hopefully, blabbering about it here will fix it. Like it has with many such dilemmas. But today I loaded up ME1 and for the first time in forever, turned on the console cheats, unlocking only one thing: The "Distinguished combat medal" achievement. Because what's the point of playing if I can't encounter one-shot snipers? And I've unlocked the achievement at least twice in the honest manner, that's quite enough. As for the play session, it was nothing of note, mostly messing around on Eden Prime and indulging in my Character Creation addiction. But it finally raised the desire to learn how to make a video gif enough to put it in action. Behold: Benjamin Shepard, floating his guns, flexing his arms and shooting chemical rounds out of his nipples. ME1 was so much weirder than I remembered! But it was just a silly little glitch after a cutscene, fixed itself quickly and I've gotten it on an un-modded game, so it was just amusing.

Daily log of events! Feel free to laugh at this. --Completed Cronos station. For what I consider to be the real final dungeon (imho, Priority: Earth doesn't count,) it's pretty good. --Then it hit me. I forgot something at the Citadel, so I reloaded... --For Conrad Verner. Even though I have plenty of EMS and more than enough to finish the game with the better endings, I love that exchange. It also makes little things like the asari writings and the licenses from ME1 worthwhile. He lived and he'll have little ditzy kids. You can be a smart ditz. --Finally, I decided to get Shep drunk at the bar. I never tried. I thought the game would show the screen getting blurry, Shep looking tipsy, something like that. Instead, after the fourth drink, Shep passed out. She woke up on the couch next to Aria, with the asari giving her this smirk. I'll admit, I laughed out loud. Next time! --Cronos Station for real. Someone needs a stab in between the third and fourth rib. --End Game --ME3 Review --Citadel Review. I figured I'd do that after my ME3 review, since that's the last DLC. --Headcanon epilogue! Last letter to Hannah Shepard. Bonus screenshot of Thane for domi. It shows no obvious spoilers.

Shawna Shepard: 1. Recruited Kasumi. Shawna refused to play her password game, although she still talked to the advertisement like an idiot.
2. Took a call from The Illusive Man. He wanted her to check out a Collector Ship that was disabled by the Turians.
3. Boarded the ship. Found some dead human bodies and lots of empty pods. Picked up Assault Rifle Training.
4. Walked right into a Collector trap. Killed a bunch of Collectors and some Scions coming in on platforms to kill Shepard.
5. Managed to escape the ship and Joker managed to avoid getting the Normandy destroyed again.
6. The Illusive Man gave Shawna a new mission: investigate a derelict Reaper. A Cerberus science team had been studying it but fell silent. Shawna decided to build up the team first before checking it out.
7. Went to the Citadel to look for Thane's son, Kolyat. Talked to Bailey and he said talk to Mouse. Talked to Mouse but he didn't want to talk. Shawna pushed him down and stepped on him until he talked. Some guy named Elias Kelham hired Kolyat.
8. Talked to Bailey to set up a meeting with Kelham. Pointed a gun at Kelham and he said he hired Kolyat to kill a Turian politician.
9. Helped Thane stalk the Turian. He was running on race politics (that suddenly seems very familiar). He was also pushing some local businesses around with some shady dealings.
10. Shawna killed the Turian before Kolyat did. Convinced Bailey to have Kolyat work for him unofficially.

Jace Shepard (ME1):
1. Feros - a. Ran into some ExoGeni suits. One in particular is such an ass that I really ought to have shot him. Maybe on the return trip on the Skyway. b. Found Lizbeth Baynham in ExoGeni HQ. She mentioned some plant ExoGeni is studying called the Thorian and suggested it might be what the geth are after. She gave me a passcard to get around. c. Geth were surrounding a glowing orb, almost like in worship. Tali suggested they were imitating organics in seeking understanding from a higher power. d. After clearing the geth out of ExoGeni, I took Lizbeth with me back to her mother. Sure enough I had to kill Ethan Jeong, the one I thought about shooting earlier. In all fairness, he was planning to kill all the colonists. e. Back at Zhu's Hope, I managed to disable all of the colonists without killing them, though Fai Dan shot himself in the head. f. Took on the Thorian and all of its creepers, as well as a plant-clone of an asari. Killed all the creepers - human and asari variety - and sent the Thorian plunging into the depths. No guarantees it's dead but it did lose its hold on its creations. The actual asari, Shiala, came out of a pod on the wall. She used to serve Matriarch Benezia and Saren. She learned the "Prothean Cipher" from the Thorian, an ancient creature that had been around while Protheans lived. The cipher gave full knowledge of Prothean culture, language, etc. She passed it to Saren to help him understand the visions from the Prothean beacon. Now she did the same for me. She also told me that Saren's ship, Sovereign, had indoctrination power and influenced Benezia, herself, and anyone near it. In the end, she asked to stay at Zhu's Hope to help the survivors. I agreed to it, something I hope doesn't bite me in the ass later. 2. Back on the Normandy, Liara tried to help me make sense of things. Something is missing, like maybe Saren found another beacon. I reported to the Council. The turian showed his racism so I hung up on them. He'll eat his words one day.

"I will stop the Reapers. Even if it costs me my own life."Here we go folks. My ME3 review. A few things I wanted to say before I get started: 1) While I have completed the series many times before, this was the first time in over a year. This was my first time on console as well. I approached this experience with fairly fresh eyes. 2) I picked the Destroy ending, even though I brokered peace with the quarians and the geth. Check out the post I'm making later in the ending thread regarding that decision. Or for something a little more lighthearted but headcanon, I'll be making the final letter later tonight or tommorw. 3) This is purely based upon my opinion. I'm not in this thread to debate or reopen old wounds. I also don't want to turn this into a debate thread about the endings either. We've got the spaces for that. Too many of the posters in here turned me into a ME fan and I respect them too much to sour the mood of the thread. The Dude Abides. 4) I'm not going to touch very much on the EC endings. There is another thread for that. Same with Kai Leng. He was badly written and badly implemented. That was completely on the writers for the way that was handled so you won't read a defense from me in that regard. 5) If I seem forgiving, it's because I had my suspicions confirmed as I played ME3. I knew the game was rushed, but I didn't know how severe it was. Mass Effect 2 was originally released on January 26th, 2010. Mass Effect 3 was released on March 3rd, 2012. It sounds like a fair amount of time on paper, if a bit on the short side for a AAA game. However, during that time they released Overlord, LotSB and Arrival, which took time and attention away from ME3. I saw that Arrival was released March 29th, 2011. So that means that Mass Effect 3 had less than a year of the entire team dedicated to it. It explained a lot to me and also why some of the ME team seemed utterly heartbroken. Just like with DA2, the fact that it turned out playable with a decent story and memorable characters makes me wonder what could have been. So to the devs and writers that I know are lurking here, thank you for what you were able to do. For this ME fan, it didn't go unnoticed. So, without further ado, my ME3 review. There it is. The end. The credits just finished rolling. --Graphics:8/10. It's the same for me as for other games in the trilogy. It's aged damned well overall. Things like eye glitches and audio bugs did get annoying fast. Thankfully, there wasn't many of them. --Music:8.5/10 All of the tracks suited their areas. It was awesome to hear the old Citadel themes come back, such as having the C-Sec theme in the Refugee Camp. My only complaint here is that there was too much orchestral arrangement for my taste. I normally like if not love that in a game, but I still prefer the quieter and more simplistic electronica music from ME1. They did set the mood beautifully though. As always, when BioWare works on the music and makes it one of the main priorities for a game, they do a stellar job. --Combat:9/10 t's the best in the series. Just having the damn X button do everything was the main hinderance. Shooting was better, the weapon mods were great and the biotic combos were extremely effective. --Dialogue Options: 5.5/10. It's hands down the weakest in the series. I honestly believe that the writers and devs fully intended to add more options. I'm also guessing they even had those options written down. The script in games like that tends to be one of the first if not the first thing down.
However, having such a limited amount of time lead to some unfortunate compromising for the dialogue. They probably had to pick and choose a series of answers that would have gone on the dialogue wheel, to save on time. Sadly, this went from folks having at least somewhat unique Shepards of the same alignment. to having many of them saying the exact same thing as one another via the auto dialogue. It's hard to do a more nuanced Shepard when you can't get the chance to choose what they say. --Sidequests: 7/10. I did enjoy system scanning, even dodging Reapers. That was a decent integration of gameplay and story. I also really liked the addition of the Spectre Terminal for any missed items. However, the game's rushed development shows a lot in some parts. I noticed it the most in the Citadel quests. Every conversation with your squadmate that takes place out there tends to happen in large lumps at a time. The quests to run around and talk to people are okay, but some of it reminds me of Act 1 in DA2. There was just so much dumped into one area at once that it lost it's punch. --Priority Missions: 8/10. I loved most of them. I felt that Shep's hard work (or lack thereof) really showed itself well here. I liked brokering peace between the geth and the quarians. I also enjoyed Tuchunka immensely and it's a highlight of my ME runs every time. The overall score isn't perfect, since Earth is tough but lame and Mars is kinda boring. I enjoyed most of Thessia, but the use of Kai Leng in the events marred the experience for me. --Companions: 8/10 for personality, about 7/10 for usefulness. Javik has personality, but seems pretty 2D. His combat is decent, but I'd call him my least favorite character overall. I like the character, but eh. As for the rest, I found EDI interesting but too damned squishy in most cases. My preferred squad was Garrus/Liara before Kaidan came back and after it was my Team Saren, which was Liara/Kaidan. Banshee, meet biotic combos. Story review. I'm going to break this down into overall plot and the ending. Like I mentioned above, I'm not going to get into the endings too much. Overall plot: 7.5/10. I see so much potential that I think the writers and devs intitally wanted to realize. It was awesome to go to Thessia, Rannoch and back to Tunchunka. It made the Reapers feel like a real threat, and not the understudy they were in ME2. The one on Rannoch even gets chatty if you let him (I did this time,) so I even got my last dose of being called a "meaningless organic."
Making Cerberus into a side villain made sense in the terms of the overarching plot. In other words, there's always been a large group of people indoctrinated and thinking they are going to control the Reapers. Javik mentions that this is one of the reasons why the Crucible was not completed. A separatist group in his own time thought they could control the Reapers.
The game takes it too far though. I expected Cerberus to have resources and considering that I think TIM was the backer behind at least one mega-corp, ExoGeni, so I figured that coming. The amount of fleets at his disposal was too far. Cerberus largely overshadowed the Reapers in this case. I can see why the writers wanted TIM back as a villain, but there was no real sense of balance there. Thessia comes close, then they have to end the sequence in a ridiculous way. --Endings: I'm very very leery about scoring this. But I'd give it a 6.5/10. Priority: Earth was actually more intense than I remember. It kept my on my toes and got me moving. Kaidan's goodbye speech not only made me choke up, but it strengthed my resolve to go with Destroy. I'll go into more details in the thread dedicted to that mission.
Surviving the Reaper beam was bizarre after Rannoch. However, I still felt like I was playing the same game as I had been for about the last 30 hours. Even the last stand with TIM and talking to Anderson felt okay. Once the Catalyst sequence started, I could tell that most of the writers were locked out of the office and allowed Casey to assume direct control. I can say that once that pointless and enraging conversation with the Starbrat was done, the EC slides and that stupid breath scene was very well done. I'm not giving an overall rating for this game, same as my ME2 review. It's too hard for me to give it a score like that when there is a lot of moving parts to break down. I would still recommend the series to anyone that likes RPGs. Anyone that likes a decent third person shooter should try the series at least once. It's not perfect and I'm not going to play the White Knight on the behalf of the series or those that create it. It is one of the best gaming experiences overall I've ever had and I'm glad that many of the posters still around today got me into it. Next time! --Citadel Review. It won't be as long, promise. --Nat Shepard's final letter to Hannah. Headcanon awaits! --A biotic Sheploo may be on the horizon. Never played a guy in ME and never played a biotic either.

I will have to wait till I finished the game to compare the notes for your review.
So far: I miss the old scanning game, but WOW, I really LOVE the hide and seek with the Reapers. I am also enjoying the new combat style in ME3 (I did a raid on the Cerberus lab quest), but I am mostly happy they spiced up the war efforts resource gathering. It will actually not gonna be a chore for me. In fact after the first few tries I was like: hey, I am gonna do the whole galaxy!!!!! now!!!!! More!!! It is just so quirky and old-fashioned looking, it's charming. I miss codes and sockets games though.
It just hit me last night: Mordin also was not on the character list for ME3! Oh, noes. He was so funny. Gotta get Tali. I need someone to pair up with Garrus, and right now I come up short on comps.
Another thing: I actually found myself hating asari for some reason. Go figure. Really loved them when started the game.

Tali cheated on me with Garrus.lol... A save edit made a glitch where I was able to romance two characters at the same time. They both commit to the romance with me but also followed their story line as if I was romancing another(since I was).
So Tali went straight from my bed to the main battery to make out with Garrus. HAHAHA I went back to my quarters to check the photo and it was a split image of Ashley and Tali...weird.

Would be nice to see a companion romance, hopefully I will be able to unlock it.

My Citadel review. I promise this won't be nearly as long. The graphics, combat, companion and music scores are all the same as ME3. I'm going to address the story aspect in three parts. The clone, the party, then the meetups.
Clone War: 9/10. I know some folks find it too lighthearted during the merc fights, but I honestly enjoyed the hell outta it. The idea that Cerberus built a backup clone for Shepard made sense. Every good business should have some form of redundacy. Brooks was a fantastic villain and should have been in the main game. The standoff was great. I adore the "cult of Shepard" line quite a bit. It was an excellent potshot at Shepard. Even the way they get out of vault is awesome.
Party Time: Another 9/10 for me. It felt like a real payoff to see everyone there that was alive and chatting with each other. The interactions between the companions was a real treat.
Meetups: 7/10. It's a real mixed bag for me. James', Liara's and Jacob's are boring. I think Javik's is too stupid to be enjoyable. Thane's memorial service was well done, even if I'm not a huge fan of Thane (no offense.) My favorites are the romance meetups for both Kaidan and Garrus. Grunt, Kasumi, Cortez, Miranda as a Femshep (space divas!) and Traynor are all excellent.
All in all, not too shabby. I have no regrets about buying it again. I can see why some folks finish ME3 and then go back to play Citadel. It's a little cheesy and overly dramatic in parts, but it was worth it.
Next time!
--Final letter to Hannah Shepard. --Maybe a little ME1 with Zack, my adept.
Edit: So when I hit London, I missed talking to Javik and to Vega. Oh well. I didn't talk to Javik enough to get to the conversation about the memory shard. So all I missed is him talking about suicide after the war. Vega is an okay character, but I wasn't heartbroken about it.

Shawna Shepard: 1. Went to go find Samara. Found Samara single-handedly taking out some Eclipse troops.
2. Made a deal with Samara: Shepard finds the name of the ship her quarry took, and she joins the Normandy crew.
3. Ran into an Eclipse merc that was hiding. She pulled out a gun, Shepard and crew turned her into a blood sprinkler.
4. Destroyed a gunship.
5. Took out the Eclipse merc boss in record time (at least I think it is a personal record; gotta be close), and got the name of the ship Samara needed.
6. Gave Pitne For the incriminating evidence.
7. Gave Samara the ship name, then she swore an oath and joined the crew.
* For the first time ever, I did not send the shipping message to Mr. Thax. The Asari at the car lot seemed quite pleased at the outcome.
8. Travelled to sunny Tuchanka.
9. Shot a bunch of pyjaks, got a store discount.
10. Talked to Wreav about Grunt's condition, was told Grunt needed to undergo the Rite of Passage. Talked to the Shaman, headbutted a Krogan named Ukenk, began the Rite.
11. Killed Varren, then Klixen, and finally a Thresher Maw. Easy-peasy. Uvenk and his men tried to cut a deal with Grunt. Grunt pushed him down. Uvenk's men attacked. Shepard and Grunt planted them facedown into the dirt.
* Highlight: Grunt charging frozen Varren, shattering it.
12. Talked to the chief scout about a missing Salarian. He lent Shepard a truck. Drove to Weyrloc territory.
13. Klixen, Varren, Vorcha, and Krogan, oh my! Found a combustion manifold. Found the dead body of a human. The human had been experimented on.
14. Speaker for Clan Weyrloc talked to much. Shepard set him on fire.
15. Found the body of a Krogan female that underwent extreme experimentation. Mordin seemed conflicted. Shawna reminded him that the genophage was the right call.
16. Gave a captured Urdnot scout a verbal kick in the pants.
17. More Krogan, Vorcha, and Varren, and finally Weyrloc Gould himself. What a pushover.
18. Found Maelon. Maelon was trying to cure the genophage. Mordin shot him. Destroyed the data.
19. Turned in the combustion manifold to a mechanic.

Jace Shepard (ME1): (trying to remember to save frequently due to infrequency of autosaves) 1. Kaidan came on to me. I cited regs but am tempted all the same. 2. The Council told me to check out Virmire. I only dealt with the asari councilor, Tevos. She's the most civil and so I didn't hang up on her. I was downright polite and thanked her for a direction. 3. Planet Casbin - The first planet in the Armstrong Nebula infected with geth. Fortunately, I'm the anti-virus. Creepily enough, the second geth location on this planet had those spikes like the ones used to create husks on Eden Prime. They must have had future plans for humans. Also, I learned that the Mako bounces. 4. Planet Maji - Second Armstrong Nebula world. Found an odd skull that my computer couldn't identify. And I have access to just about everything the Council does. More geth. Killed them. 5. Planet Antibaar - Third in the Armstrong Nebula. Thresher maws in the snow? Just shouldn't be. There were dead humans as well as geth. Looks like the geth killed the humans and the thresher maw killed the geth. It least it had its use. Found another Prothean ruin. Just happened to have Liara with me. There was a data disc inside. Not the first I'd found. Another geth outpost down. 6. Planet Rayingri - Should be the last geth outpost in the Armstrong Nebula. Found it, and those damn husk spikes are surrounding it. Creeps me out to know the geth are turning humans into zombies. Went inside and found, you guessed it, husks. Then came the geth. After they were defeated, intercepted a transmission leading to an previously unknown geth base. 7. Solcrum, a moon in the Grissom system. Found the base. Once we'd taken care of them all, we saw a monitor with a quarian singing. The vid was sent out to the Perseus Veil. Very peculiar. The geth seem nostalgic for their past. Found some data about how the geth have evolved since they were last with the quarians. Tali will surely find this information useful. Could be a great pilgrimage gift. And I was right. Tali did want this data. 8. MSV Fedele - Registered owner, Dr. Heart. This salarian is a black market organ dealer. He's done a lot of damage and Garrus has been after him since his C-Sec days. Found "test subjects" that looked suspiciously like Thorian creepers. Kaidan is always shocked when I encourage things like Garrus killing this guy - who was unarmed. The evidence of his victims was everywhere. He's too dangerous to live. Plus side, he stockpiled a lot of their weapons, armor and upgrades. 9. Normandy - Chatted with the crew. Play to what makes them tick - encouraging to Tali, promoting the rogue behavior in Garrus, softening up Wrex just a bit when it comes to other krogan, friendly with Ash, nice - if distant - with Liara, and open to Kaidan's flirtations.

Damn, I am envying you fine folks playing me1 and 2! I know what I am doing today and tomorrow, and... I dunno, it depends how many more fun filled rooms are there in the Grimshold Academy. I thought it was a sidequests, people, side quest! I must have clocked 3 hours on it so far.
And (sheepishly) I kept thinking how that casual mode keeps you on your toes, bro, but I guess I somehow never switched off normal or something. The moment the game lets me, I swear! Well, that would be when Miss Teacher makes it to them darn shuttles, Jack's new hairstyle is one highlight of the whole epic academy take-over. Darn, that Cerberus really wants them biotics....

Boooo. j/k Kind of interested how the controls work Let's just say that out of all the platforms I've played ME3 on and I've played on all, this is a little less annoying than the PS3. Controls work OK, but you need time to get used to them, especially since the A button (X on PS3) is reversed with the B button (O on PS3) from what you may be used on XBox or PS3. As I said I'll get back (probably create a thread about it - since there are a lot of misconceptions about this version) with all the details.

Jace Shepard (ME1):
1. Planet Ontarom - Biggest beetles I've ever seen in my life. Just glad they're not aggressive. Killed a lot of mercs. Shocked to see Corporal Toombs had survived. Thought I was the only survivor of Akuze. The thresher maw attack wasn't an accident, just like with the marines I'd found earlier who were lured in by a false beacon. This was a study on ability to survive. I decided to kill the scientist he had a gun to myself. I knew Toombs would be arrested if he made the kill. However, Spectres have a lot of latitude. At least Toombs can have some peace now.
2. Prerop, moon of Klendagon - Face off with "Father Kyle", aka Major Kyle. He's protecting biotics, even though he isn't one himself. Part of a raid on Torfan where a lot of people died. Discharged for psych reasons. Don't want to see this guy dead for losing it in the line of duty. Convinced him everyone would die if he didn't surrender. Gave him the opportunity to explain things to his followers before turning himself over to the Alliance. No deaths. Also learned that thresher maws apparently don't need to breathe. Not that this one would be anymore anyway.
3. Planet Chasca - A pyramid. Wasn't expecting that. Found a civilian structure but it was full of husks. A science facility with spikes around it provided the answer to "where did they come from". Inside a terminal showed this was a Cerberus op. Bastards.
4. Planet Nodacrux - Active distress signal needs investigating. Thorian creepers. Got to be ExoGeni involved somehow. Space cows. Two extra arms? Weird. A science facility has those pods in it that I saw on Feros near the Thorian. Turns out they were creating Thorian creepers. A tried to arrest the ExoGeni scientist in charge of it all but she and her mercs drew guns. No loss to the universe of a scientist with her lack of ethics.
5. MSV Cornucopia - Damn thing was full of husks. Log said they found an artifact and them immediately plotted a course for the Perseus Veil. That means the artifact, whatever it was, is linked to the geth.

Played ME3. Nothing really exciting happened
Fought a bunch of ugly looking things. Fought a bunch of wanna-be soldiers. Fell asleep listening to some ghost or whatever. When I woke up, I had a hand gun in my right hand. I decided it would be cool to shoot at that tube looking thing. There was an explosion. A while later I headed to the nearest bar for a drink. I needed one after the day I had

I decided to kill the scientist he had a gun to myself. I knew Toombs would be arrested if he made the kill. However, Spectres have a lot of latitude. At least Toombs can have some peace now. That confrontation is probably my favourite scene in the entire trilogy. So many outcomes, and I liked the fact that Toombs would reference his escape due to 'somebody already bringing Cerberus down' if you do the 'UNC: Hades' Dogs' assignment. As a Sole Survivor, I always let Toombs shoot Dr. Wayne himself. Mostly because of this:
I really like that text there, you could never pull that off in-engine, as expressing the scene with animations wouldn't really have the same effect.
The problem is that ME2 makes that scene completely pointless by railroading you into joining Cerberus. You wouldn't believe how much medi-gel I used in that damned ship on Insanity! It always makes me laugh in ME2 when Shepard says "these husks are more evolved!" Yeah, right. If those "advanced" husks were on the Cornucopia, it would become the easiest thing in the world.
