That seems implausibly early. It certainly can be read as being preloadable now, but pretty sure they just mean it can be preordered now and preloaded later.

agreed I somehow doubt it's abvailable to download yet we're not even in March yet. Hell we're only just into the second week of the year now. We're still at least 8 weeks away before it's available for preload minimum

As others said, that file is almost certainly just a placeholder so you can pre-order. The game hasn't even gone Gold yet, so they wouldn't put an unfinished product for download.

I thought the same as you all, figured maybe it would get patched to full game just before release but what do you guys think placeholder data would be? How big was the file dropzofcrimzon? Would be dumb to have you download nothing related to the game at all

Too early. In my experience, Xbox One preorders will preload a week or two after a game publicly goes gold.
