So, I know ME:A have native 4K resolution support. What about DA:I? I have a very old computer (which barely runs the game on medium graphics with 1080p resolution), but I'm going to get a serious upgrade to play ME:A in 4K, and was wondering if there is support for 4K in DA:I? If so I might start a new game too!

It's certainly possible- and playable- I get around 35-40fps on 4k with everything set to ultra/fade-touched (no AA).
I have a i7 4790K, and 2 way SLi GTX980Ti's.
Just be sure to have good cooling...

So it's native? Excellent. Also yes - I'm going to make sure the computer is basically a freezer I've been saving for this computer for a while now. I have over 2000$ already, and by the time I'll get it it'll be 3000$, so I plan to get at least gtx 1080 (I hope the 1080ti will come out by then!) and something VERY good for cooling

I thought MEA is *not* native 4K. It's some kind of fancy interpolated upscaling.

With a single GPU (even a beast like the 1080), you'll need some decent over clocking as well. Nothing massive, but 4K is super demanding, even at low settings for other adjustables. Regardless...enjoy! DA:I is a beautiful game at the really high resolutions.

I do know that the 4K trailer they released some months back was deeply unimpressive. That could just be the 'they're not done yet' effect, though.

I thought it was all platforms, but I guess I was over-generalizing. Looks like Witcher 3 already does native 4k -- although, who knows, right? Unless you talk to the engineer who did the graphics pipeline for a game, there's no telling what tricks and short-cuts are going on to reduce the pixel bandwidth and up the frame rate, since, you know, the internet catches fire if any game can't do 60fps minimum.

Definitely. I'm sure there's all kinds of optimization/compression tricks to help mitigate the impact...
