Hi there space people
in the Andromeda Initiative Trailer Jien Garson says "... a better future for all humanity" why are aliens as squad mates? krogan, asari, turian shouldn't they be in the "initiatives" of their own species? is there an Initiative for each species? how will these species distribute the habitable planets? wha would happen if there are not enough habitable planets, there can be war among these species, humans, krogans, turians, asari, etc
or is the "Andromeda Initiative" for all intelligent species of the milky way as teamwork to find new home for all of them?
thanks

Each Council race (Human, Asari, Turian and Salarian) have an Ark of their own, and the Nexus is multi-racial. The in-universe recruitment ad by Jien Garson is probably aimed at humans, and I believe the initiative was her idea. But there are a number of races involved.

It does make me wonder what the other species are getting for their recruitment ads. With the Andromeda Initiative being a human creation, and humans, the youngest species on the galactic stage, seemingly wielding the most political clout, leading the Pathfinders, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if all of their promotional material was little more than:
"Hey, are you perfectly fine with less experienced alien races dictating how you will live? Are you more than willing to throw down your life protecting another species who will put their needs ahead of yours? Then sign up for the Andromeda Initiative today, and report to your human overlords sponsors as soon as possible."

If that ad were written around the time of ME2, and you had chosen to let the Council die in ME1, it would be pretty accurate.

Yeah, but we know humans will be the dominant race in this cycle Andromeda. As well it should be.

Personally I think they're balancing this pretty well, given the premise.
While more highly Human than any previous galactic-scale endeavor (since I can't count ME3 and sorta ME2), the AI (what will we call Art Intel? 'A.I.'?) also seems like it'll give off a strong air of being highly accountable between 4 races. In fact, it may be more 'Humans on the Council' than the actual Humans on the Council.
We'll be seeing it from a Human (ish - I have some ideas) standpoint still, and many of the bigger events will certainly happen to our Human Pathfinder, but things still seem very shared.
I would hope we'll see the other Pathfinders and know that they're up to more than twiddling their thumbs, and I hope we see some drama between the Arks where the Human presence is still seen as encroaching on the more established reputation of the other 3, but the AI setup seems fine enough to have the Human prominence to the degree it has been shown.
That stuff with Jien Garson is shown to Humans, not the others. And yes, it is a Human responsible for the AI's creation, but I am very sure that aliens will most prominently fill the other roles. At least a third we meet will probably be Human, and the Nexus may have more Human leadership, but I'm sure there will be many aliens.
Jien is speaking from humanity first standpoint as that sells to most humans (sorry Paragons etc, but most of the human population don't stand on your/Paragon Shepard's level). But aliens will be needed to make the AI a success, and that means arranging significant autonomy for them.
As for the other civilizations doing their own Initiatives, I don't think they as much see the point. They're the ones now agreeing to close off Mass Relays for exploration (thanks Rachni), protect their territories (thanks Krogan), and consolidate territory (thanks Turian), advancements (thanks Salarians), and politics (thanks Asari). They're 'enclosed'.
Whether its just Human arrogance (they're the ones going as far as to colonize the Terminus by ME2 after all) or sekret Cerberus/Alliance/whatever agenda, its only Humanity that has the juice to fund something like this. Which while expensive, may very well have galactic investment (just not overtly Council) and draw in thousands from the billions of aliens in the galaxy.
I am kinda annoyed a the continued Human focus - or even propping up - in the series, but I have to say that I can at least somewhat buy-in on this less-human-focus-but-still-focus (compared to the trilogy) story that is being laid out.
As for galactic dominance, I'm more inclined to believe that the Milky Way is in for a sort of Alliance government more lead by Humanity (not talking about Reapers and Synthesis for now), while Andromeda will be more shared, and both would be in for a co-operative setup or some sort. Milky Way more militaristic and on guard and with tribute to Humanity's actions, but Andromeda more overtly pushed to be more of a mix of cultures and less of an automatic Human respect - perhaps even after all the games taking place in it.
