I bought them as a trophy. Ah. Interesting, you must have really disliked him. Nah. Someone told me to hang onto my gold because something in these DLCs would be pricey so I didn't want to waste much. I don't feel like putting in the work to kill more things at this point.

Let's just say he was a thorn in my side in W1, and I didn't even get to kill him. Spending a few hundred coins isn't going to make much difference, not when it costs upwards of 20K to craft a (single) full set of Grandmaster gear in Blood & Wine.

I pick the Elven Lady, Eveline. Then intended to leave the dwarf alone, but then accidentally headed his way. Glad I did, seemed he needed a cheer up.
We do the heist and I side with Ewald, after attempting to take a neutral stance. I leave Ewald alive and head on my way. Briefly thought that was "too bad" when I heard about it going to the Hospital, but then remembered it's just delayed. Ewald will hardly be handshaking Horst now he's dead.
Off to look for a rose, after Olgierd confirmed he'd die once all the wishes were met. I'd already figured that Mr Mirror had his life or his soul or something.
Now I'm at the manor, about to fight some Silent Hill looking mofo

Whatever Shani. Nice date, nice lay, but I kinda lose respect for a woman who whines about being lonely then buries herself in her work.
I dunno why, but after the Professor died, I went ahead and extinguished his Circle Candles. creepy sound happened, thought a wraith would whoosh up but nothing

Didn't actually care too much for Olgierd. But I wanted to best the Devil. Haha pride Well, my first guess was time. Then a mirror. I thought I merely needed to catch up with him to tell him my answer. Then finding him was the answer Reflection. And off Olgierd went.

In an earlier post, inside a spoiler tag, I said I got the impression that of all Geralt's sidepieces, Shani seemed the least into him, and that all her talk of them never working out was just her way of letting him down easy. If anything, Geralt's the one that comes across as clingy in this scenario, to me of course. I do agree that the devs shouldn't have forced her on people, though, and I believe they've confessed as much. Didn't bother me personally, but I can remember how annoying it was to have Triss forced on me in TW2. So I feel ya!

You won't get through it that easy, though it ultimately depends on how many sidequests you do. By the way, you might want to know that B&W is implied to take place three years after vanilla. I know I would have found references to Wild Hunt a tad bizarre otherwise.

Yet again, I beg to differ I figured whether Olgierd deserved saving or not was immaterial. I was not about to be an accessory to the eternal damnation of anyone by the literal Devil. I am reminded of TW1, actually, when Geralt has to decide whether to give up a soul to Eredin. As he puts it, he may want the bastard dead, but for his reasons, no the extradimensional asshole's.

With Shani, I was having a good time at the wedding. In video games, I definitely let my hedonist side come out so why not? little wine, little dance, some laughs and then a bit of giggly fun on a boat. She seemed fonder of the ghost, she should have slept with him. Then she acted like it was some kind of big deal after and that she needed time to think. About what? o-o Her mom controls her even when she's not there, apparently. She probably only brings home the wrong men so her mother can tell her no. She wants to be a workaholic. Sounds like she's got some issues. She'll have a lonely life. For the DLC. Loved the Wedding. Liked the Heist. And a very good villain too. Unlike melbella , I liked the outfits. Too bad the Heist outfit is worse, it was a nice getup. I played the DLC on Death March, and the battles were challenging but not impossible. There were some variable outcomes I did have to think about, like what to do with Iris. To be honest, I thought the game would sort of reward me for not forcing her by her choosing to go to the Beyond herself rather than me making the decision. but nope. Which is why I regret not making the decision for her. Leaving her trapped in the World of Paintings.

Bud, you underestimate my ability to give zero fucks. Olgierd was a bandit. Just because he is a little more clever then most doesn't mean I should hold him on a pedestal. Besides, Geralt said that one day Olgierd will get what's coming to him. Couldn't have Geralt betraying his own words.

I had figured out the answer to the riddle well before actually trying to implement that answer in the game. Like you, I thought it would just be something to figure out - instead it was a friggin' maze, and on a timer to boot. Really liked besting that asshole.
I had pretty much the opposite view from yours - hated the wedding, didn't like the heist, liked the heist outfit better than the wedding one, and really liked the third quest since it actually felt "witcher-y." I convinced Iris to move on.
Overall, I didn't like HoS as much as the main game or B&W. I'm not real satisfied with any of the B&W main quest endings though.

I loved the wedding. Being buzzed on wine at the time likely helped. I love as well that HoS is very thematic. The wedding, Shani's ordeal, the deal with a demon - all of these story beats are playing off each other expertly.

I have become fond of Geralt and his friends. I still think TW2 is the best in that it gave me this feeling that I'd really made a difference in the political choices available there and who I sided with. Le sigh. But TW3 has also been enjoyable, if not nicknamed by me as "The game that never ends". How many hours I been playing this? there are still 100s of Question Marks I'll not bother with. I don't see myself playing the series again, but it was a good two PTs, that's for sure. And I begin Blood and Wine!

Both Dandelion and Geralt spent time in Toussaint in the books. Dandelion in particular has a reputation there.
