Gold is probably the best balanced difficulty.Silver and Bronze are good for beginners,and learning new kits,but at this point I even do that in Gold.Platinum is okay with friends,but I quit pugging it quite a while back due to dumbasses everywhere.

The thing that ruins Gold for me are too many overpowered pug setups for that difficulty. Where as this isn't as much of a problem with Platinum difficulty.

Started this topic because I'm making some rounds on PS3, and game lobbies/quick searches don't seem to be working so well for this difficulty on this console. Don't see much if anyone in AHF chat either, and when I do, I'm not sure anyone enjoys Platinum. Ditto for folks on friends list. Why I started this thread to see if Gold to Platinum preferences changed much.

And if anyone on PS3 is in the mood for Platinum, don't be shy to send invites.

Played with the PS3 AHF group from the BSN. Got better to the point I can handle gold by myself.

And speaking of that group, the newer AHF members (If they're still recruiting, idk) probably don't know this, but back in the days there used to be this trial type deal, where you have to play with the experienced players of the group to get access, to the gold chatroom where all the gold players hang out.

Classic memories.

I find gold to be a good balance until you get a couple of strong players in which case platinum is required to prevent the onset of boredom. Although, even platinum is boring in a way.

Not true. Lots of phantoms, un-wave capped dragoons and such to focus on instead for winding down that wave budget more quickly. So not that hard to avoid most bosses. I know I don't always have a good enough setup to melt Platinum bosses fast enough before some pyro comes from the rear. So it's usually best to just run around picking off smaller quicker to kill targets in pugs.

Though pugs usually complicate things by wanting to hold their grounds more and focus on bosses with their Avenger 2.0. So you have the extra challenge of killing that pyro that burnt their bum before they get pyro stomped.
