On all the games I really like, I almost always get a Strategy guide. My collection includes. DA:O, DA:I, FFX, FFXII, FFXIII, TW3, Skyrim, FO3 and a few others.

That said, I DO plan on getting the Official Strategy guide for ME:A.

Depends on how difficult the game is generally up till now I've not needed the ME ones as they've been pretty straightforward to figure out. I did get the DA ones though in DAI's case mostly for the Astrariums In DAO's case it was to try and understand the general mechanics of the game. But I'll likely only get it if I feel I need to use it.

Not after I got a Prima Guide twice now, for different games, and they were full of errors, mistakes, missing information, and generally just rushed, lazy and thoughtless walkthroughs.

The Collector's Edition guide miiight be worth getting, if you are interested in the Bonus Content, which could be developer commentary and artwork like the ME3 Collector's Edition Guide.

Truth be told I don't really see the point of a strategy guide when the internet exists with a wealth of information on just about any game that ever comes out.

Though where I live the internet going out is pretty much unheard of, and I game on PC with a dual monitor setup so if I really want some kind of a guide I can have the wiki open on my second monitor.

I also generally like figuring things out on my own, and games are a lot easier these days on showing you all the things you need to know.

Why should I pay for an official strategy guide? As other people said, when I get stuck in a game I search walkthroughs and strategy guides on Google. It's free and I usually find last minute updates not included in the official strategy guide.

I haven't had a strategy guide since Resident Evil 2; they're useless since Gamefaqs exists. Not to mention, if the Andromeda guide is as horrible as the shots of the Inquisition guide that I've seen, it'll be a horrible waste of money.

The guide was kinda terrible, I don't see buying another. Also, I've always found Mass effect games simple to the point I'm perplexed anyone can lose someone to the suicide mission unintentionally.

If I want to know where the missable collectibles are, or if I want to know which conversation choice will have a better consequence for me, I'd rather trust the internet than a guide that was written rush rush with an incomplete version of the game.

I agree on that I like puzzles but I hav eto admit the astrar5iums are hard that was the main reason why I go tthe DAI guide. But I don't want t oend up byuing something I'm not going to end up using. Lately because of my foot problems I've had to take time out on my bed so maybe if I do get stuck and there are puzzles like the Astrarium ones in DAI then yes I'll likely get it. Because it'll give me something to read while resting up but I need t oknow whether I need it first before I worry about it so I likely won't worry about it until I'm playing my first playthrough.
